what is your favorite album of all time

also i put off answering this for soooo long because i was struggling so hard trying to think of a good answer but the truth is i literally cannot pick a favourite like its completely 100% impossible but here are 5 i have been obsessed with recently instead

look now look again - rainer maria. obsessed. i keep telling u guys to check this album out if u havebt. PLEASE its everything to me

6 brandenburg concertos - js bach. just fucking fun to listen to, there's sooo much going on and it's so awsome. also no lyrics so i can put it on while i study !!

until your heart stops - cave in. ok this one is CRAZY like it's seriously so good every song has like a trillion insane moments one after the other and the lyrics are kind of unintelligible but if u go read them they FUCK. also the band were 19 when they made this which makes it even more fucked up because im 19 and i can't even do my homework.

dig me out - sleater-kinney. ok do i really have to explain this one i feel like u have all listened to it and it's plainly obvious how it's just like. really really really good. fantastic all around. awsome lyrics awsome singing awsome guitar super interesting themes etc.

entãooooooooooooooo................... eu decidi trazer toda sexta uma playlistzinha diferente mesclando todos os subgeneros do emo e comentar sobre algumas musiquinhas em especifico… espero que gostem e ouçam em seu fim de semanazinho!

Cap'n Jazz tem um perfil sonoro beeemm distinto (e divertido!) essas guitarras arrojadas e métrica por todo canto junto com o vocal… ahmm abstrato dão vida a uma identidade sonora muito divertida (e rápida!) e incorporando até outros elementos do math rock (e isso é conversa pra outra hora) , ela também influenciou outras bandas que viriam a seguir. (como Algernon Cadwallader e Braid por exemplo!)

ambas "back and to the left" e Texas is The Reason são tiradas de uma teoria da conspiração sobre o assassinato de John F. Kennedy, que sugere que o presidente foi morto em um complô organizado pelos democratas do Texas para dar a Lyndon B. Johnson o controle da Casa Branca. Eles foram importantissimos nessa ponte entre o post-hardcore e emo, fazendo muito sucesso mesmo tendo durado tão pouco, e é meio dificil não achar legal.

Thrice é uma banda de música punk melódica hardcore. Imagino você lendo isso "Nossa Madê nenhuma dessas palavras tão na bíblia" e é, ok, eu concordo. mas ultimamente eles são uma banda de bem, rock eu acho, tudo, eles tem de tudo na discografia e esse álbum (de qual essa música pegou o nome) em especifico The Artist in the Ambulance fez muito sucesso, (é mto bom msm vou trazer aqui) e também foi o primeiro da banda em uma major label, o que além de garantir uma turnê com o the Used com certeza contribuiu com a graaande produção do próximo álbum Vheissu o qual o titulo foi tirado do livro V. de Thomas Pynchon.

se você gosta de guitarras (como eu) não tem erro com title fight. instantaneamente reconhecivel a infâme title fight era uma banda de Kingston Pensilvânia, Eles lançaram três álbuns de estúdio - Shed (2011), Floral Green (2012) e Hyperview (2015) e apesar de não anunciado a banda está em hiato desde 2018. com suas guitarras absolutamente estridentes vocais carregados de emoção e sua discografia quase imáculavel ela não-tão-recentemente alcançou status de (imagem)

The Hotelier, uma banda de extrema importância, pro gênero emo e todos seus outros subgêneros. Home Like NoPlace is There, é com certeza, um dos álbuns essenciais do emo. E conseguimos ver até sem entender bem ou não de musica, ou de emo, ou qualquer coisa, tem algo aqui, com toda certeza, e não pra menos após o lançamento do álbum, o vocalista Christian Holden declarou em uma postagem no blog do Tumblr (kkkk) da banda que “Nosso novo álbum trata de coisas realmente sombrias. Então, para todos os meus amigos taciturnos e levemente danificados, tenham um álbum feliz ou Rugrats in Paris por perto. Em parte, trata-se de minha experiência com amigos e entes queridos nos últimos três anos, que foram muito complicados, tóxicos e abusivos. Mas o que está por trás disso é muito sobre a desconstrução do eu para o crescimento e a transformação pessoal. Espero que ele ajude você a viver e tal. Aparentemente, agora somos emo”. 1

emo e sim, shoegaze coreano, Parannoul é um artista coreano de majoritariamente shoegaze. E com uma discografia até já recentemente cheia, ele é famoso por combinar essas melodias etéreas, piano, emoção, guitarras, com o mais gostoso noise..... ou rúido para os mais leigos. Ele lançou seus primeiros dois álbuns pelo Bandcamp. e alcançou certa fama por lá e no Rate Your music e urgh sim, no Reddit. e mais impressionantemente (e muito foda) ele participou do álbum Downfall of the Neon Youth com Asian Glow e sonhos tomam conta (artista brasileira porra!!) não vou entrar muito em detalhes pois acho que essa música já faz isso por sí só, não acha?
