In the 1975 series 𝘈𝘧𝘧𝘢𝘪𝘳𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘏𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵, the episode titled 𝘋𝘢𝘪𝘴𝘺 featured Georgina Hale in this breathtaking gown as Daisy Miller. Because the show lacks a credited costume designer, it’s likely that this costume originated with an even earlier production.   The dress went on to be used again in the 1984 production of 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘉𝘰𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘯𝘪𝘢𝘯𝘴, worn by Madeleine Potter as Verena Tarrant.   Finally, in 1993, this costume made a brief appearance in 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘈𝘨𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘐𝘯𝘯𝘰𝘤𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦 on an extra!   Where do you think this piece originated?
