Ok so the running gag of Eddie losing his shoes was hilarious but why is none talking about how in the final act, when they are running from the xenophage in the lab, Venom grabs a pair of sneakers for Eddie. The fact that he noticed Eddies lack of shoes and in the middle of a life or death battle remembered “oh shit I need to get some foot protection for my husband” is absolutely adorable. Eddie is constantly on Venoms mind. He’s always thinking about him and how to help him and keep him happy.

I just. There’s something to be said here about Eddie having Venom ride along with his every thought, every moment of his life, for the past year. Even when he gets angry and yell and tells Venom that he wishes Venom wasn’t around… when he wakes up (Multiple Times in the Movie!!) his first action is reaching out to Venom. God the transition from movie 2, Eddie “I don’t need you, YOU need ME” to movie 3 “But I need him.” Eddie tried so hard to be his own person and he is!! He is a whole human being of course but his life is so much better with Venom in it - not as a symbiote or as part of this crime fighting duo. But as his buddy! As his friend as his constant companion. Eddie and Venom, two losers who finally find belonging in each other. And now? And now Eddie is alone again

Does anyone ever think about how, before Eddie, Venom has probably never heard a full complement before? Because I think about that a lot-

Uhhhh idk something about Eddie casually saying “Y’know, I don’t hate you” and Venom sitting there like “you promise?” With it’s eyes all big

Eddie has to tell Venom that he doesn’t hate them at least twice a day or else Venom will stand above him at 2am like “you don’t hate me right? You don’t want me to leave right? It’s still “we” right?”

Love the idea that the Symbiote had abandonment issues after being rejected by so many Hosts

Venom Symbiote is very easy to fluster over the even the vaguest of compliments, but only from Eddie, everyone else is an ego boost but like. That’s its Host, the one that happily lets it live within himself? I think that finally having a Host that loves it so much does something to Venom
