- We are known for our beautiful beaches, I recommend: Zuma, Will Rogers State Beach, El Matador (they have HUGE rocks, caves, and starfish!!), Latigo (great waves if you are in the mood to shred the gnar), Topanga State Beach, Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach, and Santa Monica beach (shoutout to lifeguard post 27). 

- Go for a hike! We have the best hiking trails with stunning views of the ocean. My favorites are the canyon trails in Malibu, any trail in the Santa Monica mountains, Runyon Canyon, and the hike to the Hollywood sign- it’s long but worth it. I recommend entering through a neighborhood side street. 

- Visit Venice Beach. It’s a little sketchy but nonetheless, an iconic LA trademark. 

- Drive around Beverly Hills and take a walk on Rodeo Drive, especially at night. It’s safe, the palm trees are all lit up, but if you see paparazzi, stay out of their way. I’ve seen them in action before and it’s startling. 

-There is a restaurant near Beverly Hills called Terroni and it’s one of my favorite restaurants if you are in the mood for delicious Italian food. Also, check out Joan’s on third. Everything is fresh and healthy!

- Something not so healthy-Sprinkles cupcakes! There is one at The Grove and a cupcake ATM and shop in Beverly Hills. 

- Drive around Malibu and have a delicious and healthful breakfast at Malibu Farm. It’s right on the pier!

- You will want to see The Getty AND The Getty Villa. The Getty is an art museum off the 5 freeway and the Getty Villa is off PCH in the Pacific Palisades. Both rich with art and history! 

- Spend time in my favorite place, Santa Monica. The pier is gross but iconic, eat the yummiest breakfast or lunch at the Urthe Caffe, buy some juice from Pressed Juicery, shop at 3rd Street Promenade, go to their farmer’s market, and enjoy the nightlife. Also, you’ll probably see a celebrity working out during the day. One time, I was driving and almost hit Vince Vaughn on his bike. That’s a story for another time. 

- If you want to do some serious shopping, hit The Grove. It’s a classy mall with an old hollywood-esque feel and it’s near LACMA, The Museum of Tolerance, and the rest of museum row. 

- If you aren’t allergic to cats, go to the cat cafe! It’s called Crumbs & Whiskers and it’s off Melrose.

- Hollywood is as scummy as you can imagine BUT it has its moments. I recommend visiting: the Wax Museum, The Hollywood Museum, and Hollywood Walk of fame where all the stars are. Check out the Chinese Theater too-it’s GORGEOUS inside. It will make you feel like you are in an Old Hollywood film. I go to free movie premieres and screenings there all the time so do your research beforehand to see what is happening! Again, be safe while walking on Hollywood and Highland. Always stick with a friend or friends!

Griffith Observatory - in my opinion, the most beautiful view of all Los Angeles. When I was little, my dad used to take me all the time because we both love astronomy and they have these HUGE telescopes. The observatory itself is amazing and the balcony views give you the most gorgeous view of the city.
