VITEEE 2022 Exam ( Eligibility, Exam Pattern & Syllabus)

VITEEE counselling 2022 started on the 8th of July, Vellore institute of technology declared the VITEEE result 2022 on its official website on the 7th of July. only those who qualify for the VIT engineering entrance exam 2022 with a minimum VITEEE cutoff mark are only eligible to participate in the counselling process. Candidates must visit the respective VIT in person for document verification.

INTRODUCTION

Vellore Institute of Technology’s engineering entrance exam(VITEEE) is a standard entrance exam test conducted by the Vellore Institute of Technology(VIT) to give admission to engineering courses in various VIT colleges.

Various VIT colleges are VIT Bhopal, VIT Vellore, VIT Chennai and VIT Andhra Pradesh.

VIT also introduced a new section in its entrance exam, which is taken to check the aptitude of the candidates.

Before the addition, the entrance exam consists of maths, physics, English, chemistry, and aptitude for the B.Tech course and Biology, Physics, English, chemistry and aptitude for bio stream programmes.

The questions in the entrance exams are mostly from the NCERT books for the subjects- Biology, chemistry, physics and Maths.

The foundation for the entrance exam can be established with the help of NCERT books.

In the English section, questions related to comprehension, grammar and vocabulary-based questions are asked to the students.

The aptitude section of the VITEEE consists of ten questions, which are used to check the student’s Numerical and verbal ability.

This section will include topics like Data Interpretation, Data sufficiency, syllogism, Number series, coding-decoding, etc.

VITEEE 2022 was conducted on July 6. The candidates had to carry admit card along with a valid ID proof to the exam centres.

VIT Vellore is one of the top institutes in India for B.Tech and Biology programmes.

Candidates who have secured minimum aggregate marks of 55–60% approximately in Physics, chemistry and mathematics/biology in the qualification exam are eligible to apply to the various VIT colleges.

The VITEEE exam is an online exam with a test duration of 2 hours and 30 minutes.

  Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras is the top-ranked college in India as per NIRF rankings 2021, It was also recently ranked on 255th position in the world by the QS Global World Rankings 2022. For any engineering aspirant, IIT Madras is the college of their dream. The flagship program of IIT Madras is B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering and the admissions to the IIT Madras is strictly based on the JEE-Advanced Entrance examination followed by JoSAA counselling.   National Institute of Technology (NIT), Tiruchirappalli was established in the year 1964  as an autonomous institute in Tiruchirappalli. It was ranked in the 9th position in the list of Top Engineering Colleges in India by NIRF Rankings 2021. Apart from this, the QS WUR Ranking has also ranked the institute in 451st position among the Top 500 Engineering Colleges around the world. The admission to the National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli is done through JoSAA counseling which means a candidate must have to qualify JEE-Mains entrance exam with a valid score and then go through JoSAA counselling.

  National Institute of Technology Surathkal is one of the 30 NITs located in India, It was established in the year 1960 in the Surathkal of Karnataka state. B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering is the flagship program of NIT Surathkal. It offers the B.Tech course across 10 specializations of Engineering.   Vellore Institute of Technology was established in the year 1984 as a private institute, it is one of the most popular and top B.Tech Colleges in India as it is ranked 12th among the top engineering colleges by NIRF Rankings 2021. Apart from the national organizations, the Institute is also ranked by the World University Rankings 2022 and 2021. The admission to VIT, Vellore is granted on the basis of a university-based entrance exam (VITEEE) followed by an Interview or group discussion.

  Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Varanasi is also known as IIT Banaras Hindu University is an autonomous institute established in the year 1919 as Banaras Engineering College and later given the title of IIT. IIT BHU  is ranked as the 14th best engineering college in India by NIRF rankings 2021. It offers a B.Tech course across 14 specializations of Engineering however its flagship program is B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering. The campus of the institute is spread across 400 acres of land and more than 350 faculty members teach there.  To get admission into the B.Tech program offered by the IIT BHU, the candidate needs to meet the same admission criteria as demanded by other IIT Colleges.   Jadavpur University, Kolkata is a public state university established in the year 1955 in Kolkata, West Bengal. Jadavpur University is ranked 17th in the list of Top Engineering Colleges in India. It was also ranked 651st position under the overall category by QS Rankings 2021. The admission to the B.Tech course offered by Jadavpur University is based on the candidate’s performance in the state entrance exam- WBJEE.
