Eddie referred to the demo-bats as aliens and an hour later Steve’s like, I don’t think they are aliens. It has been an argument ever since so Eddie takes to Tiktok for a second opinion: Tiktok, settle a debate. Say you waltz through a gate (Steve: Ed) THEORETICALLY into an alternate universe and there are these giant bat-like creatures that probably have rabies and-

Eddie: -Dogs without faces, and a creep who can only be defeated with the power of a good soundtrack. Those are aliens. Definitely aliens, right?

Steve: Wrong! Aliens are from space. That’s just a shitty version of this planet. They’re creatures from earth.

Eddie: Well they seemed pretty fucking alien to me, Steve!

Steve: Henry was from Hawkins. That’s just a person, Eddie

Eddie: From a different world!

Steve: From our world!

Happy Halloween!

The first Halloween they have after the events of Spring Break is the best Eddie had ever had. He’d always loved Halloween with its mystery and secrets, the hidden horror found in the films, and the candy everyone passed out to the kids. He loved watching the kids of the trailer park dress in their second-hand costumes to pretend to be fairies, princesses, and pirates like he too had once before. But before 1986, he’d always been alone. He would smear makeup on his face and run door to door in the early evening before anyone else was out then he’d saunter home and hide from the bullies outside with a lap full of candy and the small TV screen playing a horror flick. 

Halloween of 1986 though brought a new opportunity. Eddie could put on a mask and cease to be the boy that everyone in the town despised. He would no longer be a “known” killer that mothers pulled their children away from. He wouldn’t be the idiot that flunked out of high school after three tries. He wouldn’t even be the freak that people sneered insults at. That Halloween night, Eddie was able to just be himself with his friends. 

He and Steve weren’t dating at that point, but he could feel they were close. Eddie saw the way his eyes never strayed quite too far away from him and felt how his hands reached for him whenever he turned away. It wasn’t different on Halloween. 

Eddie’s face was covered with black and white paint and his hair was let loose on his back, the curls unruly and full. He was masquerading as a member of KISS, the only metal band that Steve could stomach to listen to for any period of time. Above all though, he wasn’t Eddie Munson. 

Steve dressed as Ferris Bueller wearing a costume eerily similar to Tina’s Halloween Party several years prior and matched with Robin who went as his best friend Cameron Frye. The kids dressed in random costumes that meant little to Eddie beyond recognition that they were having fun. 

The whole Party went door to door in Loch Nora for the full size candy bars then around the Wheeler’s neighborhood for some of what Dustin called, “the cheap shit”. When the night was over and most of the houses were out of candy to pass out, everyone headed back to the Byers’ house for the sleepover of all sleepovers. They carved pumpkins and ate pie, they made pumpkin seeds and cookies, they almost gave Hopper a heart attack when they started a food fight that wrecked the entire dining room (Eddie started it but he’s taking that with him to the grave). 

When the kids were too tired and the girls had retreated to bed, Steve led Eddie out to his car where they watched the stars and smoked some cigarettes. They ate all of Dustin’s candy and traded secrets under the gaze of the brightened moon. Eddie’d long forgotten about his face paint up until the point where Steve’s lips met his in a light kiss that shot electricity through his bones. They kissed and hugged until their noses were cold from the chilly weather and they had no choice but to head back inside. 

It was the best night of Eddie’s life. 

The morning after was not. He woke up with a bruising jolt from Steve’s elbow making contact with his jaw. His stomach hurt from the excessive consumption of sweets and his lungs were tight from the chain smoking. Most of all though, his head hurt from the loud raucous of the kids finding his facepaint all over the lower half of Steve’s face. 

He dealt with the outraged confusion of the kids, the stern ‘talking-to’ (more like screaming match) from Hopper for defiling his adopted son, and even the not so subtle looks from Robin and Nancy. Everything was worth it in the end when Steve carefully wiped off the makeup on Eddie’s face with nimble fingers and gentle swipes until all that was left was some slight staining of skin and his lips meeting Steve’s. 

Halloween of 1986 was the best of many moments to come. It turns out that for Eddie, ‘86 was his year after all.

So, I finished watching the playthrough,

First things first, Henry/Vecna was way too one dimensional evil villain for my tastes, with just a few humanizing moments here and there, and lots and lots of evil laughing. but they made this game mainly based off of S4 scripts, so it makes sense.

I do believe it would've been better if the game was released long before the play tho

But there were some things I really enjoyed and I hope turn out to be canon

. Will's jealousy toward El in s2/S3, its perfectly normal to be jealous of the boy you like, it just gives him dept, and I hope it's explored in S5 cause I love angst ❤️

. Vecna and the shadow's relationship, here the shadow is a sentient being, whose goal is to devour and spread, and it finds Henry fascinating, it whishes to merge with him and "envolve into a new being", Henry doesn't want that, and eventually subdues the shadow instead...or does he?

"We are a parasite meant to find new hosts, new worlds on which to feast and you will be our vessel, if I can continue this study on all humanity, I will allow you to think you are in control, cause you are the most magnificent thing I have ever encountered"(isn't It a romantic?)

The vessel thing ties nicely with "Eddie is just a vessel for the devil, he made a deal and now he's got his powers" and with TFS, where Henry is nothing more than a vessel for the shadow, with no malice of his own.

So I do think the dynamic between them is still pretty ambiguous, is it even possible to overpower an ancient eldritch being that controls so many minds?

Obviously there will be lots of plot twists in S5, and they wouldn't spoil them on a non canon game, but if the shadow does turn out to be simply an sentient eldritch being, I do hope it will be something like this

Also, crazy how byler and elmax were the big ships of this game huh, mileven who?? (srsly, there wasn't a single moment between them, zero, nada)

I was playing a Hellfire Club chapter in ST Puzzle Tales and... suddenly, Nancy showed up in the middle of the campaign under the name of Henrietta.

I can't believe how weird this whole interaction is after watching seasons 3 and 4, where Nancy is one of the main focuses of 001.

spoiler: this question had no answer, which is also weird.

Vecna failing so spectacularly is so silly of him like he really expected to succeed going "they don't care for you" while Mike is actively caring for him, standing very close saying "I really care for you ya know" like bruh. So much unearned confidence.

“Chrissy!” He shook her shoulders again pleadingly, his voice hoarse, scratched down to almost nothing from his endless begging and crying. “C’mon wake up! Please wake up!”

He watched as her pupils moved beyond the pale pink glaze glossing over them. The aged, broken light bulbs began to flicker to life around them.

Could she hear him?

“I know you’re still in there, Cunningham,” he started with more vigor despite his fear of hurting her. “Come back, please! Please, come back to me!”

A single, pitiful tear cascaded slowly down her ghostly white cheek and he felt his own eyes stinging helplessly as he took her face between his palms. “It’s not real, sweetheart, wherever you are it’s not real. Okay? I need you to wake up. C’mon!”

It happened so suddenly, just as he was beginning to give in to his despair. Chrissy’s eyes snapped open, jolting awake with a breathless gasp as if she’d just resurfaced from beneath the dark waters of the lake, startling him so greatly, he almost fell backwards from the shock.

Everything went quiet as he panted heavily in amazement and disbelief, staring down into her eyes, now blue and clear and deep. She took him in, slowly coming out whatever illusion she had been trapped in. Her mouth hung open in silent question, trying to form his name, her body shaking from head to toe.

With her unveiled face still cradled between his hands, Eddie moved foward without another thought, crushing his lips to hers in a hard, desperate kiss.

IM SORRY BUT MIKE CLEANING WILLS BLOODY NOSE IS PEAK ROMANCE

Mike immediately noticing (once again) that something’s wrong with him, not trying to get him to talk until Will focuses a bit more, keeping his attention on him despite Dustin and Lucas arguing about nothing in the background

Also Will being jealous of El :(((((( I’m a sucker for that- AND DESPITE THIS STILL TREATING HER SO WELL- THEY ARE SIBLINGS SO SO SIBLINGS 🙏

Also the fact they could’ve so easily added smth abt Mikes love confession giving El some sort of strength in the final chapter (like a verbal flashback to Mikes words ect ect) but they just…didn’t MILKVAN BONESSS, even more proof that mikes monologue did NOTHINGGG

ALSO ALL OF THE POSSESSION WILL CHAPTER IS SO GOOD? THE VIEWFINDER BIT ARGHHJJ

I also really like seeing the Shadow Monsters and Vecna’s dynamic they are so toxic old married couple coded

Also the Henry stuff was so cool and interesting and ARGHH IT MADE ME WISH I CPULD SEE THE PLAY
