A weekend away in the Vauxhall Mokka-e. Just how efficient is it?
Andrew Till / Mr. EV
The striking green Vauxhall Mokka-e was our ride of choice this year for our annual trip to Center Parcs. See how efficient it is, and (more importantly) find out what Flaviana thinks of perfume, beards, swimming pools and more. That’s right, everybody, it’s another of those videos. We hired this from the lovely people at Onto(..)

While the exact delivery dates for the Avenger SUV are not yet confirmed - perhaps Q3 or Q4 2023 for deliveries to customers - we do have at least have some insight on what specification and options you can buy or lease. These include:
  Longitude      - from £34,800 this entry model provides 10.25” Nav, 16” alloys,     cloth seats, all terrain mode selector, AC, cruise control, hill descent     control, keyless enter and go, LED headlamps, rain sensing wipers, rear     parking sensors and heated/powered door mirrors;
Altitude     - the middle model will start from £36,500 and will include 17” alloy     wheels, adaptive cruise control, hands-free power liftgate, passive entry     and cloth/vinyl upholstery; and
Summit-     the top-end model still start from £39,100 will add 18” alloy wheels,     heated front seats, LED projector lights, adaptive cruise with lane     centring & traffic jam assist, privacy glass, windshield wiper de-ice,     front, side and rear parking sensors plus welcome/leaving lighting.
But how cheap will the electric Avenger be? With the prices around £34,000 - £40,000 we are hoping for rentals of around £300 - £500 per month depending on your term, mileage and contract. Expect this cost-effective SUV to compare against the MG ZS EV, Vauxhall Mokka-e, the BYD ATTO 3 and the Kia Niro EV. There are now a great mix of cheap electric SUVs for personal and business customers to lease, with economies of scale leasing to more discounts and offers. Moving into 2023, we expect the rentals to continue to improve on EVs.
So will the Avenger be a good EV? Does it have a good range and charging times? The usable 50.8 kWh lithium-ion battery will offer 0 – 62 times of 9.0 seconds, 93 mph top speeds and 115 kW (or 154hp). And the drivetrain will be FWD. Expect a combined winter range of 155 miles with warmer weather allowing for 215 miles on a full charge. On charging, the 11 kW AC max will allow 5 hour and 30 min 0 – 100% charging times with the 100 kW DC maximum allowing 26 minute 10 – 80% times. This car has a reasonable cargo volume of 355L and a vehicle fuel equivalent of 147 mpg.

A Brief Guide On E-C4 Citroen Performance Upgrades
Citroen Performance Upgrades Evaluation Of E-C4
People are using electric vehicles on a vast scale all around Europe. Citroen e-cars are in high demand due to different types of Citroen accessories which make the Citroen E-C4 extraordinarily different.
Tumblr media
In this blog, we discuss some of the salient features of this fantastic car, along with the Citroen performance upgrades. Though there are a few setbacks in the model's overall performance, it is far better than other competitors.
The use of double and single hydraulic brakes on the front and rear suspensions, respectively, delivers an exquisite sensation in addition to the interior insulation. Citroen's vehicles are distinguished by Advanced Comfort Suspension (Progressive Hydraulic Cushions).
The e-C4 is no exception since driving around town is extremely comfortable. The suspension technology easily absorbs irregularities, speed bumps, and potholes. When it comes to driving comfort, it is by far the best in class.
Combined with its incredibly light steering wheel, the e-C4 is in a class of its own - even when compared to more expensive rivals. However, its softer driving setting limits its performance in more difficult conditions. The e-C4 exhibits some body roll at high speeds and lacks driver feel.
One feels separated from the front axle, especially in Sport driving mode, which attempts to improve driving dynamics. However, the same could be said for the vast majority of its competitors; if you want an enhanced experience, you'll need to spend more for the BMW iX3.
Its front-mounted motor and 50 kWh battery pack provide 100 kW and 300 Nm of torque. The top speed is likewise restricted to 93 mph. In comparison, the Hyundai Kona Electric (64 kWh variant) produces 150 kW, has 395 Nm of torque, and accelerates to 60 mph in 6.91 seconds.
On the plus side, Citroen's lower power output results in no front-wheel spin or torque steer, as seen on Hyundai Group vehicles - the vehicles are front-wheel drive (FWD). We predicted that straight-line speed and driving dynamics would be low on Citroen's priority list.
Battery Performance Of E-C4
To recharge the vehicle's 50 kWh battery pack much faster, a CCS port supports up to 100 kW of input. It allows the e-C4 to get up to 80% from empty in around 30 minutes. A more commonly found 50 kW charge point will take 45 minutes instead.
At a wall box or slower public charger with a 7 kW output, it'll take 7hrs 30mins to go from 0-100% using the Type 2 port. Should you have access to a three-phase 11 kW charger, the optional £300 11 kW onboard charger will slightly reduce the charge time.
Unsurprisingly, a three-pin wall socket will take over 24 hours to recharge to full. The Citroen C4 was a small gasoline or diesel automobile. The first-generation vehicle debuted in 2004 and was revised seven years later with a new design and engine options.
It changed in 2020 when the PSA Group – now Stellantis – unveiled its third-generation model. The C4 is a compact SUV and is available as an all-electric vehicle called the e-C4 (or -C4). The e-C4 has the same 100 kW (136 hp) front-mounted motor and 50 kWh battery pack.
Compared to similarly priced competitors such as the MG ZS EV, Hyundai Kona Electric, Vauxhall Mokka-e, and Peugeot e-2008, the Citroen delivers a longer driving range on a single charge. You should drive in B-mode to get the most out of your vehicle.
It must be activated each time you enter the cabin by pressing a button on the center console. The level of deceleration while lifting off the accelerator pedal is relatively modest in the stated mode; one cannot drive with only one pedal.
It's disappointing that Citroen still needs to optimize B-mode or provide any form of regenerative braking mode customization. We can witness quick Citroen performance upgrades to rectify this problem.
Although these features are satisfactory, if you want to add to your car's performance, you can add Citroen performance car parts to boost the value of your vehicle. Buy high-performance car parts from MTC Motorsport.

The perfect Easter getaway? Just make it child’s play
The perfect Easter getaway? Just make it child’s play
If you’re planning a family escape on wheels this spring, Simon Hacker considers games to keep everyone snap happy. Those escaping Stroud this Easter will, of course, be familiar with the words of Japanese haiku poet and traveller Matuo Basho – he, of course, who wrote: “the journey itself is my home”. No? Mr Basho contended that the joy of travel is all about getting there, not arriving. We’ll…

Vauxhall Mokka earns four stars in latest safety ratings
Vauxhall Mokka earns four stars in latest safety ratings
The Vauxhall Mokka has fallen short of full marks in the latest Euro NCAP safety ratings. The latest round of testing, which looks at how cars perform in various collisions as well as what safety systems they offer, shows the Mokka did not excel in any area. The crossover was described as being ‘firmly in four-star territory’. The second-generation model has now moved to a new Stellantis…

It’s green, it’s cool, it’s… surprisingly small! Here are my first impressions of the car we’ll be driving for the next month or so from Onto, the car subscription company. I haven’t driven it yet, but I’ll do another video when I do, plus a full review. And I’ll get my wife’s thoughts of course.

Driving around Putin's potholes
Driving around Putin’s potholes
Russia’s war on Ukraine is fracturing a delicate car industry but will underline the logic of the big electric switch, writes Simon Hacker. My recent visit to Baylis Stroud for our Mokka-e’s initial 8,000-mile service was probably in the nick of time.  While Brexit and Covid have dealt twin blows to our car business, we may yet see tougher challenges. As soon as Putin’s tanks and helicopters…

FIRST LOOK: NEW Vauxhall Corsa-e. What HAS Vauxhall done? | Electrifying
Remember the Vauxhall Corsa Electric? Probably one of the most approachable little electric cars ever made, but one that also managed to be … how to say this politely?… a bit dull. Luckily, it seems like someone at Vauxhall has been listening, so now we have this… the NEW Vauxhall Corsa Electric. A bit more grown-up looks-wise, and definitely more modern. It’s had a bit of a hardware upgrade too and can go further on a charge. One of the things we complained about with the Corsa Electric was that although it was based on the same bits as the Peugeot e-208, it ended up looking like the frumpy sibling. In now looks more like the rest of Vauxhall’s range now, mainly thanks to this ‘Vizor’ front end that we’ve already seen on the Mokka and Astra. It’s sharper, neater and more modern, and still a small, five-door hatchback. The rest is pretty much as it was before, although the badges on the back have moved into the middle of the car and all the chrome bits - including the badges - have turned black. There’s also a shark-fin antenna up here, and black 17-inch wheels. The battery has grown from 46.6kWh to 48.1, enough to jump the WLTP range from 222miles to 255, a 15% increase. Which doesn’t sound like that much, right up until you need to get home without stopping… and it’s 30 miles away…
