OK i LOVE ur agony infected au, im curious & i got questions: -does oz ever have to cover up the bite mark with makeup? so his mom or dad doesnt worry, yknow? -does dylan end up getting a mask too? maybe reusing the freddy mask, unless that was what oz used for his, -what type of control/infection/etc is it? like is it more a corruption of oz's actions and thoughts that like, flows between stronger or lesser depending on the time or is it more like a total switch between the two where boz is basically a completely separate person? :3 -also semi-unrelated, hows jeff doin' in this au? like does this happen after the good or bad jeff ending, and if its the bad one is jeff alive and also agony infected or dead? -does oz/boz ever think or even end up going back to the ballpit in jeffs out of habit/instinct/etc? yeyeye thank uuuu!!! ramble as much as u want cuz i wanna hear about it !!!! also i think its funny ur aus like, keep ending up mitosis'ing (or i guess budding might be more accurate but still, u get what i mean :3) xD, i dunno how you keep track of em all LOL

Alright- imma try to answer these questions in order!

-Oswald doesn’t need to cover up the bite scar. His parents already know about it. The veiny black spreading isn’t visible to normal people. Just like how his mom didn’t see springtrap, his parents and most people don’t see anything aside from a scar.

-Yes he do get a mask! Or rather, he gets to make his own. Oswald used the old Bonnie head in the Mill’s trash to make his mask. And Dylan’s gotta make his a bunny mask. It’s part of the dress code lol.

-It’s like… hm how to put it- i had the original Vanessa/Vanny situation in mind for how it works. The type depicted in help wanteds Vanny mask+Glitchtrap plush convo. It’s a bit of corruption/coersion. Boz isn’t his own person or identity, more like an alter ego.

-Jeff is doing fine. This is after the two star good ending but don’t worry, Jeff is not dead. Pit trap didn’t get him. Jeff isn’t infected but he is aware of Oz/Boz. Doesn’t get paid enough to care. As long as he don’t kill him or scare away patrons he’s chill.

-Yup. He do be going to the ball pit. There’s not much to do there but it’s a good place to vibe. The animatronics aren’t on his case anymore due to his corruption. So that’s a plus.

-Bonus fact: Boz is just one of Oswald’s little nicknames. He can also be referred to as Rabbit Jr.!

How do you feel that Glitchtrap might be fucking dead and might not play a role in the story anymore? Do you think they could have done more with him? What would you have done with him and his character?

Well, he was always gonna be defeated anyway. I just feel like Steelwool is too scared to commit and they might be aiming to copy old-school fnaf mystery, but the thing is, the first fnafs did commit to some points with a lot left to interpretation. Everything in Security Breach is up to interpretation and it feels like a puzzle with missing pieces and also other puzzle pieces have been thrown in.

About Glitchtrap, I just wish he appeared more in Security Breach, being the main villain. This circles back to the whole "I wish we saw more Vanny!" because Vanny is literally Glitchtrap taking control of Vanessa. The Vanny/Glitchtrap problem in Security Breach is what differentiates them from the animatronics? On a threat level, they're the same. Or if I dare say saw, Roxy and Monty were more of a threat to me than Vanny. Vanny was easy too to escape for a character that was so hyped. The same thing goes with the Burntrap ending: my biggest threat was Roxy because I did not understand I was supposed to use Chica's voicebox with Freddy. Actually, the only thing Burntrap does is sending animatronics after you and trying to possess Freddy (that's two things!). Which, I get is like ooh scary he's powerful enough to send everyone after you but the thing is he's not powerful enough to walk down the hallway and kick my ass. I could just hit him with a metal bar in the knee and he would not get up.

I'm kind of disappointed that they hyped Glitchtrap up in HW2 with his face and corruptions on the games only to hit us with a secret ending (obtained with tasks that have little do to with said ending) that is just to tell us something we already knew: that Vanessa beat Glitchtrap and freed herself.

It's sad because they actually nailed HW1, with his almost constant presence next to you, watching you, leaving you to wonder who he is and what does he wants and he is going to be a threat in my game selection menu or am I ok there? His level was one of my favourites, it gave me old fnaf mystery vibes actually. It reminded me of reading fanfics at 1am and felt like actually playing the fanfic - if that makes sense.

All that being said, is he really gone tho?

In Ruins, we have a "new" villain coming from nowhere (no the books aren't an answer I'm sorry but if it's not stated in the games it is not in the games that's how storytelling works. and I am not buying and reading fucking books to understand what's going on in the game I already paid a lot for) that mimics others. Glitchtrap's whole thing was to mimic William. To me, they're obviously linked and even if it's not Glitchtrap himself, the Mimic still holds Glitchtrap's legacy.

Plus it's been discarded but can we talk about the fact that it's been pointed out multiple times that Vanessa isn't Glitchtrap's only possessed victim? You have yourself, the player in Help Wanted 1 who ends up being possessed and locked away. But then we never mention this again?

And then you have that one note in Security Breach, about how Vanessa was hired by someone in the hierarchy despite her not being qualified for the job. Which doesn't mean anything by itself, for all we know she could've been hired by family as well. But this could also mean it wasn't family and it could have been someone also possessed? Or were they blackmailed?

This is just a detail but this is one of the many details that they didn't commit to giving us an answer and all adding up we barely got an answer for anything and that is one of Security Breach's weakest points.

VANNI’S PALDEAN ADVENTURE: CONCLUSION 💖

After many months of toil (and procrastinating and distractions) I’ve made it through the main story of Pokemon Violet and I wanna show how my babies have grown. (long post warning sorry)

Here’s Isla Dawn, my sort of wild card spot. I picked her up pretty late in my journey which is why she has the 6th spot. She was my compromise of between something defensive and something I thought was cute… and honestly she struggled and still does now in post game. Most she does is set up a screen then get two shot by super effective moves. But she’s pretty and took me a week to get.

ScalieArthur (Arthur for short) is my baby, hatched from an egg. Raising him from lvl 1 while also trying to EV train him in HP (because I was desperate for some bulk on anyone) was genuinely worth it, but changing his terra type to normal was not. Genuinely don’t remember my reasoning, I just like the big ass gem head. But he was a late game powerhouse I really liked using (mainly from the ice typing)

Miss Roberta, one of many name changes. And a special place in my heart as my first shiny in Violet. She never disappointed me in battle, but of all of my team, I gave her the least amount of battle time out of fear she would just get bulldozed.. but she never actually did. Every battle she came out, she dominated. Didn’t give her enough credit, really.

Jellyway… an interesting case. Youll see the OT is Jeff. Jellyway was a surprise gift from my boyfriend, but came at a sad time when I had already had a Clodsire leveled up pretty high (Puddingway, for those who remember.) Jellyway was always the highest leveled on the team and was definitely one of the more frequently used on the team (Ground types are just sadly very useful despite me not liking them much.) But Jellyway was a pleasure to have and you cannot go wrong with toxic spikes!

My sleepy buddy Ardbert, I would die for him. I put in so much work making his terratype fairy and all that work just made me love him even more. I really got in my head when I would terraform him like “oh my opponent definitely thinks this is just a fire tera… but they’re WRONG!” It was also a makeshift way to get a fairy type because theyre just so good, ugh.

And finally, we have the star- Sylvando! Another victim of a name change (once named Riqardo, Sylvando was just way better with how much I like DQXI) he still was my true powerhouse. But unlike Roberta, I put Sylvando through the ringer and he paid the price. He was absolutely the team member who got taken down the most. But he was also the one who dominated the hardest. He was the one who took down Nemona all those times, defeated Geeta's ace, and finished off the true final boss- all in one fell swoop. But he was defeated by Clavell's Meowscarada and Arven's Mabosstiff. Using Sylvando was like a dance, when things go right and all we hit all our moves, it feels like the best feeling in the world, but even one misstep can send us tumbling off the stage like fools.

can't wait to see what's in store for me and my babies in the post game and DLC! And what new friends we'll make along the way.

The Wall of Winnipeg & Me 🏈- Mariana Zapata

A Slowburn-romance story. I like the story a lot, yes being someone who loves heavy scenes (ykwim) i thought if there were more of light physical intimacy it would have been hell of a slow burn u know. That does not mean it doesnt have those its just too little for me personally, i am a sucker for physical touches and itimacy... but nevertheless i loved it, what mariana did... love her books. The Characters are so perfect, like they mix together very well. (players, friends, assistant) Vanessa/van/vanny being personal assistant/cook/cleaner/publicist/social media manager to the world class football player Aiden/aid. She is perfect, she can do anything as long as she is getting paid. She needs to pay off her student loans and well although she might have had a little bit of crush on her boss, she never went beyond that. She has seen his ups and downs, all kinds of moods, she knows him the best, but aiden's world is crashed when she tells him she wants to quit. Van is an artist is her world. she wanted enough money to pay her debts and start her business full time, now that she has saved some she does not want to be aidens assistant. Aiden tells her she can go, which kind of upsets her, 2 years being with him and his best buddy and team player Zac has left her wanting to be appreciated. Trevor aid's manager hates her for some reason and wants her to stay, but she goes anyway when she hears him body-shaming her in front of aiden, and aiden does not stop him.... Long story short guys.. Zac is van's bestfriend more than aiden's. Aiden does not realizes that he likes van strongly, so he never gets a replacement assistant but goes to vanessa's house to call her back... she does not listen 2-3 times and then he says his visa is expiring and somehow both of them come to conclusion he needs to marry a US citizen to stay... he tells van to marry him, they do get married, she shifts to his house. All three are like roommates. Slowly aiden and vanessa start opening up tp each other about their past and fears and family issues. We get some heartburning romantic scenes, some very much needed at the time kisses... everything comes together in the end when they fall in love and they do not realize when did it happen it was just there... always there in those little moments, the details they remember about each other all the time. And it ends how its supposed to guys... they get married and have kids and Happily Ever After happens... Its a very sweet slow burn Romance. 💕💕

Danny working at the Freddy's Pizzeria Complex so I've made a list on what he will probably do

Danny would probably be working there for some money to pay bills and try to keep his apartment and raise Timmy (his little brother)

Danny has a dark past doesn't want to get into again

Danny is an Mechanic/computer wiz so that adds to the amount of tasks he has to do at work

Glamrock Bonnie was the first person Danny met when he started the job

Bonnie and Danny bonded in Bonnie-Bowl and became fast friends

Bonnie and the others kept Danny from not losing his mind and quitting

Danny has some supernatural powers he doesn't talk about

Danny would be night security with Venessa

Danny would most likely spend his free time in Bonnie bowl getting Strikes like the pro he is

Before Williams and Vannys tomfuckery started (and before Bonnie's decommission) Danny would hang out with Glamrock Bonnie the most

Danny knows damn well about all the haunting's/murders at Freddy's

Danny works both night shift and day shift so he's probably already tired as fuck

That's what I have for this AU for now, but I did hint some things about Michael Afton being the boss of the complex which leads to a fnaf Au I have called Glitch Michael!

In this AU Basically Michael has unfinished business with his father. Michael did the same thing William did, possessing a circuit board Fazbear Entertainment uses for Fnaf VR, but they use Michaels circuit board for a new presenter/security AI their making for the Pizzaplex, after the AI is finished and the Pizzaplex is fully built, Michael possesses the AI, now having full control of Freddy Fazbear's Pizzaplex. Michael also build's strong relationships with the Glamrock crew especially with Glamrock Freddy. But behind the scenes Michael is making an Android so he can pass of as human. Michael has two forms AI form and Physical Form.

That's where i have to hold the Au's for now when the Security Breach eventually comes out then I'll add more ;) but for now I'll make a list for Michael like I did for Danny.

I am jumping on the FnaF: SB band wagon so please take these doodles for a story concept that's still in the works.

Story setting is in a more futuristic time, where sentient robots and animatronics aren't just exclusive to Fazbear Entertainment (though, not nearly as 'advanced') which is a big of a motive for Y/n to be currently seeking a degree in electronics (more work opportunities).

I'll be honest, I think this may turn into a "Y/n x the entire Pizzaplex (platonic)" at some point because the found familt trope has me in a choke hold and will not let go.

- Y/n is a electrician/mechanic for the Pizzaplex that works (mostly) during the nightshift. They're still going to college to finish their degree, but have enough experience to get hired on by the Pizzaplex. At first they're limited to only working on smaller items such as arcade cabniets or photo booths. Gradually they move up to animatronic care due to Fazbear being a cheap corporate entity, you know how it is.

- Y/n's phone is purposefully an old flip phone, just with slightly better tech. It takes photos and texts and calls fine, but doesn't have any other apps on it really. ((*cough*Totally not an excuse for Vanessa to gift Y/n a cute bunny themed charm*cough*))

- Vanessa in this story is not Vanny in the way you think she is ;] I have an idea, but that's for me to try and piece together :'[

- Vanessa still does her secruity gig, but with more of a "I'm not paid enough for this" energy than "I'm out for blood" energy. I honestly want Y/n and Vanessa to grow to be friends, same with the rest of the animatronic cast, but this girl deserves some comfort.

- I'd like more emphasis on the other animatronics that don't get as much love, like DJ Music Man and even the security bots. We'll still see everyone's favorite feral Moon-themed bot, but we will get there eventually.

Probs going to be OOC, but hey, that's why we write fics in the first place.

SUN & MOON GENERAL HEADCANONS

— AND NOW FOR SOMETHING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT! 

Keeping this intro paragraph on the short side just so I can go ahead and post this without taking up too much of your dash boards. Think of these more like a ‘proof of concept’ in terms of headcanoning, I DO have more ideas and I want to make one solely focused on Moon (I AM WILLING TO GET INTO A FIGHT OVER THE FACT THAT HE IS IN NO CONTROL AND TOOK THE HIT OF VANNY’S CORRUPTION FOR SUN, LEAVING HIM SPARED BUT TRAUMATIZED) and the general hacking, but as of right now I’m not too sure! Haha.

 And, I know this isn’t my usual form of content or characters, but I got to talking with my old friend over at @eclipsed-one and they encouraged me to write them down and post them.

 So Kels, I blame you for this entirely! Haha. Just kidding, thank you so much for the encouragement! Anywho! Onto the headcanons! They’re all safe for work and yadda yadda! Haha

☀️🌘:  BOTH SUN AND MOON HAVE OFFICIAL NAMES, PREVIOUSLY THEY WERE AS FOLLOWS: Sunrise and Moonlight, HOWEVER later licensing with a book deal changed Moonshine’s name to Mr. Moon, based on a book series ‘Goodnight, Mr. Moon,’ not that that little detail stopped anyone from calling him Moonlight at all, given the nostalgia, the rhyming with his sunny counterpart and his glowing abilities! Haha

☀️🌘:  INITIALLY, BOTH OF THE ANIMATRONICS NAMES WERE DECIDED BY THE OUTCOME OF A CONTEST HELD ON THE GRAND OPENING OF SUPERSTAR DAYCARE, you see to make the event special for all the children whose parents paid top dollar to have their children attend this new and shiny daycare and nursery, the organizers of the attraction put the names of the two center most animatronics to a contest, to be decided* by the kids themselves! 

 Mind you, it was no flawless process, seeing as most of the kids were between the ages of 4 and 7 and could neither read nor write well enough to participate in an official vote of any kind. So the matter was decided through applause and hyping by Daycare Attendants and the new animatronics' handler. While backstage the technicians made sure to double check Sunny and Moon for the last time, turn off the name options that weren’t crowned the victors, and ensure he was in perfect working order. But the kids seemed to have a good time, and it bought them the time they needed to send Sunny off for his first non-practice day of work!   

( Note: decide is in quotes because all names were pre-chosen and phased through several focus groups by Fazbear execs prior to being made available for voting in the first place to prevent a ‘boaty mcboatface’ situation, or any names that could give rise to ‘unkind’ or otherwise ‘not family appropriate’ nicknames. ) 

FOR THOSE CURIOUS, THE ORIGINAL CHOICES OF NAMES WERE: 

1. Ray 2. Sunshine 3. Sunrise 4. Sunny

Or

1. Luna 2. Moonset 3. Moonshine 4. Moonlight

... Yes this does mean that there is an AU where Sunrise’s name is ‘Ray’. Do with this information what you will. Haha

☀️: OF NOTE THOUGH, IS DESPITE ALL OF THE ABOVE NAMES BEING OFFICIALLY PHASED OUT FOLLOWING THE CONTEST, Sunny will still refer to himself and occasionally his brother by these names in a passing ‘nickname’ like manner (with the exception of Luna which, for some reason, is purposefully excluded by Sunny, who, if asked, will rebut that his brother’s name. 

I.E  “ Heya kiddo! Good morning! How’re ya? My name is Sunrise but everyone calls me -insert old name choice here-,” 

The Daycare Helpers have their own theories for why this is, ranging from a glitch, to a bug left over from the contest that never got phased out during later maintenance. But the most probable, and arguably scariest theory is that these names WERE patched out, but Sunny held onto them defiantly, like old nicknames, because they were his, even if he, and his image have since grown out of them and he views them nostalgically for that reason.  

☀️🌘: AS YOU MAY HAVE NOTICED FROM THE NAMES ABOVE, THERE WERE MANY FEATURES OF BOTH SUNRISE AND MOONLIGHT THAT WERE CHANGED HEAVILY BETWEEN THE CONCEPT STAGES OF THEIR CREATION AND THEIR OFFICIAL DEBUT.  Among these changes, notably the largest was the shift in the overall feeling and expression of both Sunny and Moon. Sun was originally going to be a far more laid back, gently paternal figure, somewhat closer to Freddy in terms of personality. While Moon was initially designed to be a highly feminine character, far more like a ‘mom,’ than a friend, though these concepts were quickly broken down off the design table, when the personalities didn’t click with the test audiences, and later scrapped entirely when the Fazbear execs pulled a Michael Eisner and made the decision to scrap the creation of two animatronics (due to time constraints and overall costs) thereby leaving the engineers and programmers with the issues of how to fulfill the promised two animatronics. And for a time they were forced to ponder scrapping Moon entirely, but after A LOT of hard work, they managed to find a clean solution to the lack of a second animatronic in making both Sun and Moon inhabit the same body but emerge and go to ‘sleep’ based on the light levels detected in the daycare or nap area at the time. But even this brought about concerns regarding the apparent ‘switching’ genders, the confusion between the two characters, and obvious insensitive themes that would come from an idea like that which led to the obvious conclusion of  ‘YEAH THAT IS NOT A GOOD IDEA, LET’S NOT DO THAT’, and leads us to the current state of both Sun and Moon becoming the androgynous jester-core gender icons they ended up being, which, all in all, was one of the better solutions that could have been reached!

☀️🌘: AS MENTIONED ABOVE SUN AND MOON ARE BOTH BROTHERS, now I don’t say this simply through the lens of anthropomorphism and our human view of understanding humanoid robots and projecting very human relationships onto them. These two ARE brothers. They were programmed to view each other like brothers, the lore and backstory they were given to explain themselves with mentions that they are brothers and most damning of all THEY BICKER AND SQUABBLE Love them to bits, but sometimes they just are just brothers. Polar opposites in many respects and perfectly suited to get right on each others nerves. 

For instance, Sunny will at times go out of his way to embarrass and annoy Moon, giving him overly cutesy nicknames, like Moonpie, and encouraging Daycare helpers to refer to him as that, while additionally pushing them to ask Moon about the stories behind them when he next emerges, (there never is a story, Sunny just comes up with them, snickers to himself about how naughty he’ll be and how embarrassed and annoyed Moon will be, goes to the Daycare helpers, and the rest builds from there) And Moon will be, admittedly, lazy about his own chores during the off hours, pushing them off to explore the facility, play with the nightshift workers and otherwise do everything he should be doing, which ultimately leaves Sunny with a far greater chore-list to shoulder and less time to socialize and free-roam! 

It’s these little things they do to each other, and their well documented, but usually lighthearted rivalry and drive to out-preform each other that let people KNOW, even if they have no idea about the extended Fazbear universe lore! (More on that later)

☀️🌘: ALL THIS SAID, their relationship isn’t just tormenting each other. That is sadly what most see (because you can’t look into the group chats in their heads), but THESE TWO LOVE EACH OTHER MORE THAN ANYTHING, it’s what made the events of Moon’s later hacking all the more traumatic and horrifying for Sunny. But I’m getting ahead of myself again. 

☀️🌘: HELL! WHEN SUNNY GOT HIS FIRST T-SHIRTS IN THE GIFTSHOP and branded merch in the form of plushies, Moon made sure to use all the ‘helpful’ points he had accumulated by helping the nightshift managers set up and take down the party rooms after hours to buy some branded stuff from the giftshop to bring to their shared room to display like the trophies of Sunny’s success that they are, because he is that proud of his brother and wants to display it! (Sunny will, however, take them down when they’re stuck in their room and its his turn because, he can’t explain it, but there’s something nice about cuddling them, despite the shame he feels about it! ) they just love each other so much, man, even if they make each other mad enough to go monkey mode

☀️🌘: ON SOME LEVEL, SUN & MOON ENVY EACH OTHER AS WELL, it isn’t constant but every so often there are flashes in the day to day dealings of Sun and Moon that makes them wish they had each other’s ‘superpowers’ (as Sun calls it) like when a child wakes up at naptime with a nightmare and starts to cry, waking up several more students before he and a helper could get to them. It’s moments like these where Moon wishes he was able to be as bubbly and cheery and undaunted as Sun is on the daily. He wishes in those moments that he could put on that wide grin and pick them up and not even pay any mind to the spooks or stress of the kids and distract them all from their fears and the confusion in a way that hugs just can’t do and just... cheer them up fast. He wishes his voice wasn’t locked in that sleepy cadence, and that he could do more than just pat their backs and wipe their tears and hold them close while singing lullabies. 

Sunny wishes he could relax like Moon. It seems silly to most, especially when they try to excuse their neuroticism through the lens of being in childcare, but it’s not... that. They aren’t so nervous and follow everything by the word because of safety or loyalty to Fazbear Inc or their programming. They do it because they can’t help it, they have to do everything by the rules, even the thought of straying from it, it hurts him a lot. And he HATES IT, he wishes he could ‘chill’ out more than anything, and ignore the rules for once and do like Moon does, sitting with the kids and letting them plaster stickers all around his face, and hugging them and playing with them and being an active part of their games, rather than being regulated to the ‘no fun sun,’ that he feels like day in and day out.

 And in some way, this envy, it fuels their respect for each other and their respective talents and personalities, its bittersweet, even for them, but they’re glad that even though they can’t do these things that their brother can and they can give advice from that place in the back of their head whenever they need it most. 

From the beginning, when these two first met and their programming booted up within that body, things were tense and crowded... Moon could feel that Sun didn’t want him with him and Moon couldn’t blame him either. It must of felt like Moon was being held over his head as a backup or a replacement if he ever stepped out of turn. And Moon? Moon felt the same way. Quiet times and naps and gentle-play, that was his expertise, so for Sun to try and will him 

☀️🌘 SPEAKING OF THE BROTHERHOOD THOUGH, THEY AREN’T TWINS! In fact, Sun has, while relating to some of the children in his care, leveled with them and his own experiences being a ‘younger’ brother, and speaking about how he ‘looks up’ to Moon, even though he’s shorter.  And while, I know what you’re thing — Sunny must be referring to the fact that he was installed on Moon’s body, hence making him younger, and that’s a reasonable assumption, but nope! Sun & Moon’s decision that Sun is the younger brother and Moon is the older was entirely and arbitrarily decided by them based on their own understanding of the roles in question. 

☀️ SUN’S NEUROTICISM IS NOTHING NEW, IN FACT, IT’S BEEN PRESENT EVER SINCE HE WAS CREATED, and I know what you’re thinking, but let me tell you, Sun’s anxiety was not an oversight and it also wasn’t a mistake. It’s just a part of him, and prior to the events of Moon being hacked he was living with it very well, he had his routines and the emotional support of his brother from the background and his handler in the foreground, and he was able to cope very well, especially given the extremely stressful environment that is the daycare on a busy day!

GENERAL QUESTIONS

Q) hello, love! For the Q&A, what’s your favorite dinosaur? Or, if you don’t have one, favorite color? Make sure you eat, drink, and rest darling <3

A) Favorite dinosaur? That’s a hard one. Probably any of the ones that had wings. Those funky boys are cool as hell. My favorite color is either dark purple or dark green! And thank you :)

Q) hee hoo peanut

A) Cashews are better than peanuts. Almonds are the worst. Don’t @ me

Q) Since euphoria is coming back January 9th can you do a rue x fem reader or something, maybe like a mini series?

A) Good question! I like euphoria a lot as a show, but I definitely don’t think I would ever write for it, personally.

Q) Do you practice cartomancy?

A) I’m trying to! Between Uni and my other hobbies, I haven’t had a lot of time to actually sit down and learn it.

Q) How do you come up with such complex backstories? I find myself kinda sticking to the same handful of traumas, but what you write is so original and unique. Like your character building is off the charts awesome

A) Thank you for the compliment! Trust me, it takes a while to get good at character building. One of the funniest things about that question is that playing D&D helps a lot with character building. When you’re playing a character you actively have to roleplay, you have to go more than just making a backstory. You have to think about mannerisms, traits, likes and dislikes, their habits. Ever since I started playing D&D I’ve gotten way better at character building for my stories :)

VANISHER QUESTIONS

vanisher series spoilers ahead. proceed with caution!

Q) I would like to know more about the cards actually / I actually would like to learn more details about the cards, if you wouldn't mind nerding out about that

A) Alright, so let me clarify first that I'm in no way an expert with cartomancy. I’m only just starting to learn it! Let’s take a look at the cards Van drew during part 10:

the seven of hearts— the suit of hearts ties to emotional feelings. The seven of hearts specifically reads as broken promises, which is fitting as this card was drawn when Vi and Jinx were talking.

The six of hearts— this one was picked when Vanny was trying to analyze the relationship between Vi and Caitlyn. The six of hearts represents a surprise new love interest. Fitting right?

The eight of spades— I already detailed what this one meant in the chapter itself, but it means deceit, danger, and that caution is advised. Van drew this one when Caitlyn had the machine gun aimed at Jinx. For who the caution was advised for, I think we can all collectively agree it was for Caitlyn. Hope this answers your cartomancy questions!

Q) Is Van shorter than Jinx?

A) Nope. Van’s canonical height is 5’8 whereas Jinx is 5’3

Q) Does Van have a tattoo?

A) Nope. She’s free of any tattoos. She didn’t have the time to get any, nor the need to. She loves Jinx’s tattoos, though.

Q) Would Jinx and Van get matching tattoos?

A) Down the line, they probably would. Jinx would likely get the hidden blades crossed over her heart as a tattoo (like over her sternum) because of Van doing that during the table scene, and Van would go really simple and get a tattoo of Pow-Pow breaking a chain, somewhere easy to hide. She’s still a paid assassin.

Q) What’s your writing process for the series?

A) I’m a pantser, meaning I tend to write by the seat of my pants and go with no plans at all. When I started writing the Vanisher Series, I didn’t even know how I was going to end it. In terms of characterization, I just tried to identify their baseline emotions and go from there. For grammar, I have grammarly checking my writing because frankly I do not care to proofread my own work (this post is not sponsored by grammarly. they suck sometimes).

Q) Who was the hardest to write?

A) Jinx, for sure. I wanted to get it across that she still has manic and psychotic tendencies, so I had to do a lot of research into that. Being in a psychology class helped a lot, actually. Everyone else had consistent characterization, but Jinx is the wild card. She changes on the daily, but she still has one or two emotions she always comes back to.

Q) What made you think of writing the Vanisher Series?

A) I’m a lesbian in love with Jinx. That’s pretty much it.

Q) Do you listen to any songs while writing / What are your song inspirations?

A) I made a playlist detailing every song I listened to consistently while writing the Vanisher Series! If I wasn’t working on it with my hearing implants turned off (I focus better when I work in silence) then I was listening to the playlist. Primarily the biggest inspiration was Halsey.

Q) Where would Jinx and Van end up after the Vanisher series? Do they still stay in Zaun? Or do they travel and do their own things there?

A) After the events of the Series, they spend some time laying low and keeping their heads down because of the explosion on the Hexgates. Van is, quite frankly, filthy rich from all of the money she has socked away from her jobs, so they just hang around until everything calms down. I imagine neither of them haven’t traveled much outside of Piltover and Zaun at all, so they might do that. I’ve heard Demacia is nice at this time of year.

Q) What would you have named the Vanisher? Before she had forgotten the name?

A) There are two answers here. The first one is that, if it had ever actually been brought up, it would’ve been “Y/N” because Van is you, by all technicality. If you’re asking me what I would’ve named my interpretation of Vanny before she got mind-whacked into being an assassin, my answer is Phoenix. I would’ve named her Phoenix, because my interpretation of Van has dark red hair. Again, that’s my interpretation, not what the canon Van actually is. Part of the reason why I gave Van the name Vanny, Vanisher, anything like that is so I could avoid using Y/N. I hate using that. It feels weird, clunky, and out of place when I write it so I try to avoid using it at all costs.

Q) Does Vanny know about the workshop explosion in ep 1? I think it would be kinda cool if she did, seeing as she lived in Piltover. Or was she already under Yeloras training even then?

A) I actually had to check my timeline to see what the answer for this would’ve been. Van started her training with her mentor when she was nine, and she was twelve (same age as Jinx) when the explosion happened. Van remembers it, but she was really far into the memory-wiping stage of her training that it’s a little hazy.

Q) Will we be able to see any Vanny/Jinx oneshots or smaller prompts after your break?

A) Not sure. I like where I’ve left them, and I don’t feel any need to write any more about them. I guess if the demand for more of them is overwhelming I could try and write something!

Q) Are we going to get more of Vanny and Jinx in different Aus? or something explicit for Jinx?

A) Refer to the answer above. As for explicit content, I wouldn’t be counting on it. I used to be a somewhat prolific smut writer for some other fandoms but it’s been so long since I’ve written it that I doubt it would be good at all LOL

A Personal Chef

Or the 5 times Sid's Chef walked in on things she didn't want to see and one time she saw something she wanted to.

1. Oct 2008-Chez Lemieux Pittsburgh, PA

It all started at a huge event. Well for the rich and famous of Pittsburgh it wasn't that big of a deal. However, she thought it was enormous. Especially as the first event that her mentor had asked her to help prep and work. It was her menu that the upper echelon of the steel city were consuming and that knowledge was overwhelming.

She had a few minutes to step outside for a bathroom break and was able to see faces she had only ever seen on the tv and voices she only heard on the radio mingling in the crowd.

The best thing about being a chef was that compliments were paid to you but so often people did not realize who you were when you went thru a crowd without the appropriate hat. She was more then fine with that because she hated attention being directly on her. Let the attention be on her food, on the combination of sweet and savory or spicey and tangy; not on her face. In fact she would much rather work on smaller crowds with an occasional big event. Then she could be the sole person in the kitchen and manage everything on her own. Not have the extra stress of managing others.

She turned the corner and stopped mid step. Before her were two hockey players who the city were talking about reviving a failing franchise.  And they were staring intently at one another, a pink flush on Sidney Crosby's face as Evgeni Malkin cupped his hand over the Sid's cheek, his thumb brushing the apple of his cheek.

She took a couple steps backwards and purposefully stomped her feet as she moved back to the corner. While protecting their privacy was imperative, her bladder was demanding relief before she could get back and make sure the kitchen was running smoothly.

This time as she turned the corner Crosby was standing alone in the hallway trying to will the blush from his face. He smiled at her shyly.

"Oh, hey. Are you the chef?" He asked as he took in her outfit.

"Yes, I am. I'm Vanny. I hope you're enjoying yourself." She was trying to be polite but definitely did not miss the blush that deepened on Crosby's face.

"For sure. The food has been great. Listen, Natalie was talking about how much it helped her to have a chef while Mario was playing and the kids were babies. I was thinking it might be helpful to get a chef who can maybe help me out with food." Crosby chuckled as he looked away while rubbing the back of his neck. "Would you know if anybody who does that?"

"Oh, actually, I just might." Crosby's smile seemed to relax as she smiled back at him. This might work better then she expected.

2. Sept 2009- Crosby Kitchen

She was ecstatic about the Stanley cup celebrations coming to a close. Sidney's schedule had been ridiculous with all the parties and then attempts to get back on a meal plan. Then the amount of cheating he would do. Especially after Malkin-call me Geno- came back from Russia. She was surprised Sidney hasnt asked her to start cooking for the two of them with how often the other man was over.

That didnt mean that she wasnt going to leave him out though. She loved seeing people enjoy her food but she loved trying new recipes more. When Geno started to come around more often  she spoke with her colleague who had spent a year training in Moscow. She had just picked up some ingrediants to try and make a healthier version of a cold salad her friend had sent her when she heard voices from the kitchen. She stopped just outside the door way where she could see Sidney holding his head and pacing tightly near the fridge. Geno was propped against the island with a patient look.

"We need to stop. This is a huge mistake." Sidney glanced towards Geno before he turned his back to him during his small circuit. She watched as Geno nodded in agreement before pushing himself off the island and moving closer.

"Is big mistake. But not most big. We just win Cup, Sid. We not deserve?" Geno stopped himself on an invisible line allowing Sidney his pacing space.

Vanny watched as Sidney hesitated a step before looking back at Geno. His back was to her but she could see the hope and worry mixed on Geno's face.

"Its a bad mistake, G." He sighed heavily, "Can we keep kissing until we think this through?" Geno reached out and placed a hand on Sidney's face. Similarly to the way she had found them at the Lemieux household the year prior.

"Take all the time you need. You a big mistake I want make again and again. Choose you each time, Sidka." He whispered before Sidney pressed forward to kiss him.

She definitely forgot butter or would need more butter after they had stopped steaming up her kitchen. She would also need bleach if the rustling of fabric was any sign of what was happening.

3. March 14, 2011- Crosby Kitchen

Cooking in minimal lighting was an interesting experience.  Cooking for two injured cranky hockey players was more of an experience.  She had worked it out that she would cook the meals at her place and bring them to Sidney's house so he and Geno could try to maneuver their limitations.

Today was different tho.  Sidney had been seeming a little bit better over the past couple weeks. She had come in many times to Geno and Sidney on the couch. Geno reading with a dim book lamp attached to his kindle while Sidney looked asleep in the darkened room. The past week the lights had been on more often, there were gym clothes scattered across the laundry room and louder voices or laughter coming from the rec room.

Today she had prepared a ratatouille in hopes that the continuation of food that required minimal chewing would help with the constant ache caused from the concussion. She had become an expert in entering the house from the garage quietly in the midst of the sort days of the concussion.

However she wanted to start rethinking how quietly she entered. The laundry room was between the garage and kitchen. She stopped in there as she heard a firm 'No.' Coming from the kitchen.

Peeking around the corner she could see Sidney sitting on the island with Geno standing between his legs, his crutches on the floor.

"But I'm miss you."

"Geno. I'm serious you are not giving me a blow job. What about your knee?"

"Trust me, my knee miss you too. Sidnyushka, you skate for first time in months! You keep saying no sex, no skate, no hockey, no tv, no fun with concussion."

"Wow, G, glad I've been such a bore while I've been in pain. You know-"

"No, you not listen. You skate today, yes?" Vanny assumed Geno was waiting for Sidney to nod. "And your head not hurt?" There was a pause before a soft gasp followed by soft spoken Russian. "See you on skates again is what I want, but want you happy most. You come back today and so happy. You not tell me you think you ready to skate but you do this and see you most happy is like you most beautiful." 

"I didn't know if the team would clear me."

"But you’re not tell me, so I should get included by suck you after hard work."  There was the sound of kissing mixed with fabric rustling. Vanny was certain she had forgotten to turn off a stove at home and knew she had more bleach at home. She needed to start finding new places to keep bleach in this house if her poor kitchen was going to be defiled.

4. April 2013-

"Damnit, G, I want your dick in my mouth." Vanny froze. She thought of the location of the nearest spray bottle she had prepped with bleach and glanced towards the laundry room for her gloves. She was not paid enough to keep walking in on this stuff.  For a couple who thought they were being really discreet, they are pretty oblivious to the domestic service crew.

By the end of the concussion and knee injuries, the entire house were well aware of how deeply in love the two hockey players were. As well as how stupid they were about communication. Mostly the staff got together on game nights and gossiped about who had walked in on what. Jaden swore they would end up outting themselves during a game and kept a book of all the near misses and missed dates as their pot grew larger.

Vanny sighed, her coworkers had stories, but they could never compare to what happened in her kitchen. She heard the sounds of kissing and fabric rustling, something hitting the ground. Years of working in the Crosby household had taught her to not look, to go do anything else. When she heard Sid state "I may be missing half my teeth but I can still suck your dick. G." She knew it was time to leave and probably call it a night. They could sort their own food out tonight and she could find a new way to blend recipes for Sidney's broken jaw.

5.  NYE 2015- Crosby Kitchen

Vanny was stopped in the pantry. She didnt think they would be home this early-werent they on a road trip? She wasnt sure but either way they were in her kitchen. Going into the fridge and she didnt have the courage to leave the pantry. She had seen them in so many states of undress without them knowing that she did not have the patience to see them in whatever state with their knowledge.

"C'mon, G, its new years eve and we are going to celebrate together. I have plans." Vanny could hear the fridge shut, cabinet doors open as socked feet shuffled around the kitchen.

"Yes, I'm see maybe plan, but most worried you not joking here."

"Why would I be joking?"

"Because you not like that and now you have big jar full?"

"Oh? No, Vanny has it on hand to make stuff for you when you come over for longer stints. Pretty sure I saw some licorice for Olli in the cupboard last night. She is amazingly thoughtful. I dont think-" Vanny cant help the smile at Sidney's compliment but is well aware that Sidney is oblivious to the fact that she has been cooking for both of them for years.

"Yes, Vanny most wonderful chef.  Not bad with Russian recipes, but Sidka, is maybe popular food. But you most wrong."

"Where is your sense of adventure"

"Is most big insult to Russia, you think mayonnaise good for sexy times, Sidka. Lose your Russian card before even get one." Vanny can hear a scoff and then giggling. "Never allowed to come Russia. Most sad because I am wanting take you to see Magnitogorsk."

Their voices fade as they disappear down the hall. Vanny sighs and then steps out of the pantry. She eyes the jar on the counter then promptly drops in it the trash. Mixing bleach and food wouldnt be a healthy choice.

+1 7/31/18--Cole Harbour, NS

Geno is chattering with Vanny about the recipe she is using for the salmon when she notices Sid standing just out of the kitchen doorway. He is staring intently at Geno. She has been around for so many years  and seen many of the looks between the two men as their relationship grew. As they allowed others in on their life together.

She even knew the looks that meant she needed extra bleach and to prep some whisky balls for Lita when she got the next load of sheets in the wash.  There was only so much bleach the sheets could handle. Or the looks they shared when they didn't realize they were not alone.

No, this look was not like that. This one was what she saw in interviews. Like he was schooling himself to not give anything away. He glanced briefly at Vanny and she could see his shoulders heave as he held her gaze for a moment.

"Hey Zhenya, Vanny." Sid greeted as he walked past and pressed a kiss to Geno's arm before heading to the wine cellar. Vanny picked up the platter on the counter and excused herself quickly from the conversation. She needed to get these stuffed mushrooms out to the table before Geno tried to eat them all.

As she walked back into the kitchen, she stopped just at the entry way, Geno was fiddling with a bottle opener as Sid looked on nervously.  As Geno turned to use to counter for leverage and started mumbling in Russian about the cork, Vanny covered her mouth to stop her gasp from being audible as Sid dropped to one knee.

"Sid, what you do to bottle? It st-" his words trailed off as he turned and glanced around the room for Sid before looking down. The hand holding the bottle dropped to one side and the other hand holding the corkscrew went to his mouth. "Sidney? Why you on knee?"

"I have probably driven Tanger, Flower and Jack crazy with all the different words I've tried to put together. You know I'm much better at scoring goals then saying the emotional stuff. And Flower gave me a bunch of shit when I tried to use hockey metaphors even if thats-" Sid shakes his head and smiles then pulls out a small velvet box. "Enough rambling, here's the thing, I love you. I have loved you for  so long and I want to keep loving you until you tell me to stop. So, Evgeni Vladimirovich Malkin, will you marry me?"

Vanny can feel her eyes watering in the silence that fills the room after Sid finishes speaking. She watches as Geno allows a rush of emotions to cross his face because he has always been one to wear his heart on his sleeve.

"G?" Sid shifts minutely on his knee. Vanny can't see his face to know what expression he is showing and she doesn't dare move to draw attention to herself.

'Sidnyushka," Geno turns and puts the bottle and corkscrew on the counter before pulling Sid to his feet. "Of course I marry you. But Sid, why you have to beat me? Propose not competition. Have big plan, best plan for your birthday. Seryozah, Taylor and Phil all help me make most plan so you say yes but need best plan because-" Geno is cut off as Sid presses a kiss to his lips.

"You know I'm a competitive asshole, Zhenya. I want to marry you regardless but, baby, I win so you win and we win."

"Best team." Geno mutters where their faces are still pressed together.  Vanny watches as Geno pulls away enough to ret his forehead against Sid's. "Ok,  yes. I'm marry you make you most lucky man to be husband to Evgeni Malkin." Sid laughs as he drops the velvet box to the counter and moves Geno's left arm so he can slide the ring on. 

"Sidnyushka, I have ring for you upstairs. Love you most." Geno is cupping Sid's face in hands and peppering kisses on him as Sid giggles wetly. Vanny figures this is the time to give them a little extra privacy. Her kitchen is safe with all the guests, but emotions are high and they deserve a true moment alone.

Besides, she needs to start looking at who she can rope into helping with a wedding.
