#Vaniesa my beloved

With every “!!” i get, I’ll introduce you to an OC!

Let's go with my girl Vaniesa!!! She's a D&D5e character I played through multiple campaigns, totaling to 3.5 altogether (the .5 from when she made an appearance in another campaign one of her children was involved in and she helped the party a bit).

She started off as a divination wizard who left home with the blessing of her adopted father to go and research dragons. Not only did she get to do that, but she got quickly thrown into a plot involving a dragon cult that was attempting to bring Tiamat to the material plane, and so she and the rest of her party were to put a stop to it.

To sum up the many things that happened: she helped steal some black dragon eggs from said dragon cult, hatched one of these dragon eggs (and somehow did not get murdered by the baby dragon - named Illiandrus - in the process), got some trauma related to a good friend dying (TWICE) and some screaming mushrooms, tried to teach Illiandrus and help her be good (with some success), and when traveling to Amn to investigate dragon related activity, she ended up meeting someone who ended up being a bronze dragon named Rukodyne, whom she eventually married and had another daughter, Ignatia, with.

She wasn't allowed to get settled down completely though, since the cult was still set on causing havoc as well as bringing Tiamat back, so Vaniesa had to leave her family behind (except for Illiandrus who insisted on coming along) and help stop the cult's plans for good.

Although they succeeded in getting more of the dragon masks from the cult, as well as uniting forces to help fight the cult and their growing army of dragons, they were unfortunately not able to succeed in stopping Tiamat from being brought through (who was also particularly pissed at Vaniesa for "corrupting" one of her children into being not evil so that was fun!). In the end they did defeat her after an extremely scary and difficult battle in which no one permanently died.

SOME OTHER FUN INFO!

One of her birth parents was an Eladrin, so she ended up developing faint physical traits of this once she left Toril and was exposed to Realmspace(? I think that's what it's called). She's totally not pissed about the leaves that are appearing in her hair now! :)

Additionally, this was also when she became a wild magic sorcerer for her 20th level! Dealing with wild magic has been... interesting for her.

Vaniesa has a tendency to fret over things and be rather anxious, especially when it involves people she cares about being in some form of danger, but she always pushes through and does what she believes to be good and right.

As such, she will willingly through herself into danger if it means keeping others safe, not caring for her own safety nearly as much.

She can also be surprisingly reckless when it comes to matters involving dragons, in which learning more about them is all she can focus on.

Her cloak used to be a normal cloak until it was blessed by the goddess she worships, Ioun, after which it gained magic powers.

She loves traveling and gets restless if she isn't doing anything now that she's had a taste of adventure.
