So this may just be me but even tho I grew up with the 4kids "Baltor" name I always call him Valtor because Baltor just is one letter away from Balto and my adhd brain refuses to unsee that. Sorry but this just would not leave my brain.
ah yes finally another adhd brain who wields the cursed knowledge of Balto vs. Baltor. welcome my friend. welcome to hell.
In all seriousness though, yes, I endure the same cursed knowledge. However, using Baltor is so engrained in me from watching the 4Kids dub religiously and using it during my rp era (*shudder*). Therefore, saying or writing Valtor still feels unnatural to me. Not as unnatural as it used to, but I’m in an adjustment period.
But yeah every couple of months I remember Balto and I spiral for about 3 hours before promptly returning to my regularly scheduled Baltor Bullshit™️.

I just finished all 3 dubs of season 3 and here’s my overall thoughts
Before I get into it, I want to talk about the voices in the Nick dub. I grew up with this version of the show, so I might be a little biased in saying that I think most of the voices fit their characters really well, such as Alejandra Reynoso as Flora, Kari Wahlgrrn as Faragonda, Sam Riegal as Riven, Keke Palmer as Aisha, Romi Dames as Musa, and Kimberly Brooks as Stormy. Some voices were meh or didn’t exactly fit, such as Ariana Grande as Diaspro, whoever voices Griffin, and Matt Shively as Sky. While the writing is hit or miss, having some really cringy lines, the cast tried their best with what they were given and I appreciate that. Also, ngl, the opening and ending songs are bops. Now that that’s out of the way, let’s get to it
The only two new characters introduced this season were Valtor and Nabu. Both are interesting and complex characters. Valtor is the Lord of all that’s Extra™️ and it’s extremely entertaining. Cedric Kühle, Sean Schemmel, and Josh Keaton do a fantastic job with the voice work. You can tell that each of these men really enjoy playing this character. One thing I don’t really understand is the 4kids dub changing his name to Baltor, but that’s a minor thing. Now, Nabu is the nicest boy omg I love him! He’s a great match for Aisha and knowing what happens to him, makes him a kind of tragic character.
This season gave us some of the best in character development, in my opinion. Each of the girls did develop as characters, but development was mainly focused on Aisha and Stella. Aisha’s conflict with her parents about her arranged marriage and her entire planet getting attacked and taken over by Valtor is really interesting to see on screen. Stella seeing her kingdom get taken over and manipulated by Cassandra and Chimera and her dad under Valtor’s spell really help her as a character. Her being surprised that her friends complemented her personality and her saying that she thought everyone saw her as pretty broke my heart. Musa did have little bit of development in the labyrinth episode, having to come to terms with her mom death was really refreshing. This is an important lesson on how those loved ones we’ve lost will always be with us in spirit.
If we’re talking about season 3, we can’t ignore the obvious. ENCHANTIX 👏IS👏BEST👏TRANSFORMATION👏👏👏
Not only are the aesthetics amazing, the fairy dust is genius idea, and the song is a bop, but the ways in which each girl obtains it is ingenius. Having each girl sacrifice themself or a part of themselves for a person from their home is extremely telling and unique for each girl.
I give season 3 a 9/10. Overall, this is another extremely solid season. I feel like this is the best or one of the best seasons the show has to offer. The characters are strong, the action is badass, the stories are intriguing and it feels like everything is bumped up to an 11 and it shows. We got to know more about these characters that we’ve grown to love and find out about Bloom’s true parents. I’m really enjoying this watch, so far! I can’t wait to watch more.
#winx club#winx club season 3#jen watches winx s3#can’t wait for season 4#ITS BELEIVIX TIME BITCHES LETS GO#also ROXY#I’m hyped and ready for next season

I know that 4Kids changed the localization but Baltor is really not their idea. Well, it's really nothing. It's better to pay attention to the changed plot. I'm familiar with the original and quite a bit with 4Kids. Some fans say that the essence isn't changed, but I'll never believe it. Moreover, even Straffi was dissatisfied with their edits.
I’ve never watched the 4kids dub but i’m planning to (my winx related to do list is getting longer and longer) because i’m just too curious! However Reddit recommends the Cinelume dub because apparently 4kids made unnecessary changes,
I’m curious to see these changes but i’m also very attached to the original version so idk how much i would tolerate them.
But tell me the point of changing Valtor to Baltor if he leaves a mark which is a V

so, considering that: -the winx magazine and the old website featured the winx enchantix' first artworks with blue aisha and full wings tecna -aisha's costume was kept blue for a while on early episodes until the second half, the movie and official material kept it green -tecna still had her full wings occasionally -leftover incomplete frame mistake in episode 24 -really... weird plotholes that did not exist before, but somehow make more sense if you know about 4kids... -but not all of them. just some very specific 4kids dub references -4kids meddling in. why? -valtor. baltor? valtor. bal -the movie being in production at the same time by a different studio for 4 years and being released 7 months after the italian s3 ended broadcast -no fillers at all but one episode ... was season 3 rushed?

I never got 'round to askin': Favorite Winx Club dub between Cinelume, 4Kids, and Nick? Nick's my personal favorite.
Hi! I have no idea since I have only watched them in Danish except for season 6-8. And I’m not sure what version they were😅 I guess whatever version uses ‘Domino’, ‘Layla’ and ‘Valtor’ instead of ‘Sparx’, ‘Aisha’ and ‘Baltor’.

Hey! Sorry just fell back into winx fandom after years and into what was one of my original OTP's (when watching season 3 (the old 4kids dub) I was convinced Valtor was going to be the one Bloom saved for her enchantix and then would play a big role in the movie and 2 team up against the ancestral witches) Ah Princess Tutu ruined me giving me so much hope the main character doesn't have to end up with initial love interest. Anyway just all your content is awesome thank you!
Thank you so much!! Welcome back to the fandom!
I do think having Bloom save Baltor to earn her Enchantix should’ve been the way to go. The whole “I willed myself into getting it but it’s incomplete” never made any sense, especially because we never actually end up seeing her complete it. They just let that go and hoped everyone would forget about it instead of scrapping the whole idea and coming up with one that actually made sense (i.e. Bloom saving Baltor instead).
Seeing them team up to take down the Ancestral Witches would’ve been a badass scene. A Dragon Fire convergence could level an entire planet and I would like to see it. But let’s be real, Rainbow would never. That would require a whole other level of mature storytelling that they just can’t do (or handle correctly).
