I name her Laureline, after the character from Valérian and Laureline, because she is pretty and smart and everyone loves her. Laureline is good at everything, we do lots of dog sports. She is almost too good. She never gives me attitude, which is almost boring.

I get pet insurance right away. We use it a lot unfortunately. Oh Duck Tollers.

She's is honestly a pretty great fit for me, since Duck Tollers are often almost like a mix between herding dog and retriever personality. She's so fun, though we do work hard on motivation and finding the joy in training, since she's very serious. She will do anything I want, but I need to work on enthusiasm with her.

It's for that Valerian&Laureline prompt 😄 I'm struggling with the form and the mood so this part might not end up in the final version, but here it is:
