AHS presents their newest vocal synth: Miyamai Moka (宮舞モカ), made by the trio of Ryuichi Akako/Akasakov (TOKYO6 Entertaiment), ChomP (VOCALOMAKETS) and Sakurai (Tsurumaki Maki character designer).

She's releasing in 2024 for voicepeak, talk engine by SynthV developers. There is currently no info about her SynthV voicebank.

im just saying, but VOCALOMAKETS (a neutral entity) continues to side with AI inc, when they know she would sell no matter what software they onboard her on. she's on AIVOICE2 but not VOICEPEAK?

btw i don't think their banks being pulled like two years ago is related to this. it has never been a rule that ppl who have an utau out need to pull their banks, all the people who have done it have gone on the record to state that they did it out of personal choice (namely misha who voiced ruby, for sure, and i think akiglancy pulled her utau as well out of personal choice. kenji who voiced dex has not. macne nana was removed bc her existence on utau was only predicated on the ability to be used in garageband for mac compatibility, her inclusion as a vocaloid ended such issues)

also as we know about gumi v6's development, she had a very quick turnaround, as the internetco president basically told yamaha "if you're not gonna offer v6 to us then we'll really take gumi elsewhere." though it may be safe to assume that beta studio's development is independent of v6's. so, hm.

re:yamaha making moves... i think they are serious. they're reviving zola project out of nowhere, making a vocaloid after a popular figure in the community (relatively), now bringing on super popular utau... honestly, it's an exciting era to be in. beta studio looks promising as well. they've basically lost any future AHsoft vocals (sans vocalomakets) since AHsoft is too busy deepthroating kanru but i think literally most things aside from characters lost to licensing and record deal issues (piko and lily for example) are on the table. they realized "the fact that there are strong competitors". sure, the results aren't mind numbingly realistic like synthv, but i think that given kanru just does not get what the community wants nor does he care to, if dreamtonics slacks too much they might lose what little edge they've gained with the popular third party vocals they have (like teto)

i mean... dreamtonics has a bit of a history with screwing third party voices over. look no further to most of the vocals on the original version... i know the creators of genbu have been personally slighted by them, and you can't get yamine renri ANYWHERE anymore (not honorably anyway) because she got a synthv vocal...and was promptly abandoned. it's not just grandfathered vocals either, synthv has had way too many cases of new updates breaking third party vocals out of nowhere whenever new major updates roll out for the benefit of only kanru's first party vocals. it is...really, really, really a bit of a pickle. and a chance for yamaha to catch up.

so, in that case, i think that prospective utau owners getting approached to cross their utaus over into a commercial soft are better off attaching themselves to literally anyone else. and somehow we live in a timeline where yamaha is right now apparently the best known choice. really, vocaloid6 is fine, i think its biggest flaw is the price. that shit just costs too much compared to the competition imo. but if they can bring on a killer app like what kafu was for cevio ai and what teto was for synthv then... i think their place is truly secured.

NEW VOICEROID! 

VOCALOMAKETS, the creator of Yuzuki Yukari, and AHS Co., Ltd announced a new VOICEROID2 bank by the name of Kizuna Akari! Let’s break down what we currently know about her: 

Character Details

Name: Kizuna Akari (Japanese: 紲星 あかり or 紲星 灯)

Birthday: December 22nd

Age: 15

Height: 151cm (about 5 ft)

Official Illustrator: Juu Ayakura

Etymology

Akari’s surname, “Kizuna” (紲), literally means “bonds” or “connections,” much like Yukari’s name. However, the way that it is written as her surname literally means “connecting stars” (紲星). Meanwhile, her given name, “Akari” (灯), literally means “light” or “illumination”. While Yukari is themed around the moon, Akari is themed around stars, continuing the trend of celestial body motifs for VOCALOMAKETS characters.

VOCALOMAKETS explained on their official blog that her name is meant to mean “縁で結ばれた人達（星）との紲を灯で照らす (En de musubareta hito-tachi (hoshi) to no kizuna o akari de terasu)”, which translates to “Using light to illuminate the bonds between people (stars) who are connected through fate.” 

To make this a little easier for English speakers, VOCALOMAKETS shortened the official English motto for Kizuna to: “She illuminates you all with her voice.”

Kizuna will be released on December 22nd in digital and physical forms. 

Because she is usable with the VOICEROID2 editor, you can edit each individual sentence however you like, and even have her interact with other VOICEROID-compatible products, such as Tohoku Kiritan, Kotonoha Aoi and Akane, Tsurumaki Maki, and more.

Furthermore, “VOICEROID2 Kizuna Akari” will come bundled with the music creation software, “Music Maker Silver,” the character animation software, “Charamin Studio (90-day Trial Version),” and the video editor, “Video Easy SE.”...

The VOICEROID is available for pre-order at the AHS Store for ￥11,858 JPY (~$105 USD). Those who already own an AHS product and are registered members on the AHS community website will receive a discount. The reduced price Kizuna can be pre-ordered at AHS’s Store for ￥10,778 JPY (~$96 USD). 

On December 22nd, AHS will also release another product named “exVOICE Kizuna Akari vol.1”, which is a collection of 1021 voice samples for Akari! These can be used for creations with the VOICEROID and commercial use. The price for this is ￥1,980 JPY (~$18 USD). 

And to wrap this all up, VOCALOMAKETS added that Kizuna will be made into a VOCALOID! Once that happens, they will announce who the voice provider is. It is currently not known when her VOCALOID bank will be finished.
