    "You can't be here, Hector," Lynn tells him, her tone sharper than she intends. Glasses clink as they're piled on a tray. There's a lot of work to be done after a night at Eve's Garden and cleaning comes first. In the front of house, she's alone, but there are still plenty of clients finishing up in the back. "We're closed."

lynn and blake langermann forged their way into rapture, creating fake identities in order to gain access to the city under the sea. to cover up their true intentions of exposing andrew ryan’s city, they posed as ambitious record store owners, set on competing with rapture records. the plan fell through within a few months and the langermanns were discovered. instead of sending them back to the surface or having them killed, ryan made the decision to move them to the slums, far away from the ‘civilized’ side of rapture. 

blake took on small jobs while lynn began waitressing at eve’s garden. the money was next to nothing. barely able to feed themselves, blake eventually took a job at suchong laboratories as a tester for the latest plasmids. he was given an early version of electro bolt and suffered the consequences. blake disappeared a few days after the procedure and eventually lynn assumed him dead. 

unable to cope with the loss of her husband, lynn learned to the rising opposition to ryan --- atlas. lynn sought him out and atlas put her to work as a spy in eve’s garden, listening in on conversations from rapture’s elite. after the new year’s eve attack, lynn went into hiding, away from atlas, away from ryan, to keep herself safe as rapture crumbled around her. she survives by luck alone --- and it’s bound to run out.
