The young branded was a bit confused at the steps she had to follow for dancing… even for a slow dance it was, awkward. But Mila was trying her best. She reached up to fix the purple ribbon that held her hair together and hid her brand.

"That sounds like an amazing idea! You will have to tell me how it goes, okay?" Mila had a smile on her face, "I'll see you soon, at our next lesson, alright?"

Diana smiled warmly and nodded. "I shall. And I shall practice on my own as well. I shall hopefully be an even better dancer on our next lesson." she replied, "And perhaps even have a dance with my prince."

Well, she wasn't going to complain with that answer. There were just some things that weren't meant to be seen by all. Still didn't make her curious. "I see. Okay."

"Um daughter?" Mila tilted her head to the side and looked around, "where is she?" It's not like she knew where this woman's daughter was. "Maybe you should go look!"

"How fascinating." She listened, deeply interested. She must be a great listener, wanting to see the good in everything.

She sensed something suddenly. "It's my daughter.... Has she tried waking up already?"

"That sounds like a great idea!" There was a smile on her face, "Talk to him about more than that assignment. If you really have some kind of feelings for him." This shy girl is giving out relationship advice, and she had never really been in a serious relationship before. There were… some crushes, but she wouldn't admit that. Not even to those crushes.

"Practice is almost over, too. I think we're doing pretty good, we stopped stepping on each other's toes a bit ago-"

Diana blushed pink suddenly at the thought then tried to shake it off. What was this flustered feeling that came from just thinking of that prince? But the other was right.

"I-I should while I'm here. Perhaps after the dance. It will be awhile before I return home after all and I'm certain he'll want to hear how my diplomatic assignment is going. And...it will be nice to hear back from him as well." she admitted shyly.

"Maybe next time we meet up for the dance lesson, you can tell me all about your meet up?" Mila smiled. She herself would just be going home to her brother and Ike. Maybe she should go see what Stefan was up to after all.

Diana found herself blushing darkly. But the other had a point. She should be more brave and let her feelings be known. The thoughts going through her head made her not realize the song was ending and yet she was still dancing until the other said something.

"Oh! You are right! Excuse me for spacing out. That isn't like me. It was good to be your dance partner. Hopefully we both learned well from this."

Luckily, it was a good ending. They all went their separate ways, and some still kept in contact with letters. Some actually went visiting the others. Once in a while she'd see Janaff flying around. A few of the other flying laguz helped get letters sent out. Some getting letters themselves.

She kept to her brother and the former leader of the group. The girl was completely naive and not one to be left alone out there. This was just one of the rare times she went off on her own. At least she was in a peaceful land!

"I should send something-" If only writing were her strong suit and coming up with what was going on and what was new were… going to be interesting to someone else.

"Oh? You should! I'm sure he'd be happy to hear from you!"

Diana gazed at her with concern. What possibly happened to all of them? It didn't sound good. "I miss a lot of my comrades too. The important thing is to remember all of them and never forget. Though if they are still around, perhaps take the time to send them a letter." she smiled, "There is...a prince I miss at the moment back home. I should send him a letter myself."

"Same here! I'm not going to settle down, not now I'm still really young. I have a lot of fight left in me, and I'm sure I'll be needed to help…" She never knew if there was going to be another uprising, war… or something else. The mercenaries broke up sure, but she usually stuck around Ike and Soren after the disbandment.

"For now, peace has been great." She had been helping out here and there in towns and villages when they'd get to them.

Diana smiled and gave a nod. "That's a good goal to have. I vow the same thing. My duty is to protect everyone, inside and outside of my kingdom. Though.." She gave a soft sigh. "My mother hopes one day I'll settle down with someone like she did and relax. But I have no interest in such things."

"I've been trying a few things and I didn't catch on to them at all. Knitting was one of them." She did try but messed up more times than she could count and just got discouraged. Never really wanting to do it again.

"I miss my friends too, the ones that banded together to take care of Daein, who was invading Crimea at the time… Then we had to put a leader in the throne… Begnion took the Mad King's throne before anyone could have been put in it. It… was a mess, but everyone who came together to fight… I miss them all."

That was exactly how Diana felt. Even if...someone might have caught her eye. But it was something she shook away. No, to pursue that would be irresponsible and against her position. Instead she focused on the talk of peace.

"It is wonderful. It is good to see the people in high spirits and for work to be simply helping around town and not fighting anyone. It gives me time to train but also potentially try other hobbies." Despite her words, her expression seemed a little solemn.

Where was she from? She only knew that she was found in a bandit outpost and then recruited by Ike. "They found me in Daein, so I assume I'm from… somewhere in there, but I'll help anyone on the continent of Tellius who needs it." That is if she could get to them, the continent was quite large after all.

"A few are lesser nobles, lords, ladies, dukes and such who decided to take the path of a knight despite not needing to. I am not one myself. My mother was a knight before me, my father a simple wanderer." she explained, "As for my kingdom, it is Eclipsia. A neighboring kingdom to this one, if smaller. A kingdom cast in shadow but with lights to break through it. But what about you? Where are you from?"

"Oh, are knights considered royal too?" She knew that there were a few of royal blood in the mercenary group as well. Mila herself? Not so much, she was more of one they had to save from danger once or twice. Not very Knight like at all. "So, where do you hail from? What country do you protect?" The mage continued dancing with the other, watching her footing.

Diana blinked. She was sure she could lift a light sword. "I'm sure we could find something you are good at. For now, we'll focus on dancing. Practicing together should help us both improve." she smiled, "Being a knight for me is more than wielding a sword. I need to learn all the proper etiquette as well."

"They're all goddesses from Tellius. Asheruna split into two goddesses, one of order and one of chaos. Those would be Ashera and Yune. Yune is depicted as a young girl or a bird at times, and Ashera is a young woman. I'm a mage from Tellius and my brother is a well known tactician."

"I see. I have not heard of those places. Are they from where you are from?" She was intrigued. A new world? She heard stories about other worlds out there when she was young. Lumera hummed softly.

"I don't think I could even lift a sword." Though, she was amazed at what swords people could do with them. They were amazing fighters to her.

She looked around at the others who were practicing dancing, maybe if she could get good at this she could focus and get better at magic as well. Even if it was hard, and she cast a wayward spell once… or twice. Soren was definitely the type to be grumpy at any kind of failure. The man was a prodigy, not… something like her.

Diana's eyes widened and she immediately understood. She had no skill in magic, even though her father was a mage. She had tried once but barely anything came out.

"It just takes time and practice. It took me a long time to master my blade. I could also use magic if I trained in it more, but it isn't my specialty. I struggle with it greatly, so I focus more on my sword."

"Wow. The closest thing we have to that are Ashera, Ashunera, and Yune." Now THAT was quite complicated, Ashera and Yune were both Ashunera. She followed along with the Divine Dragon.

"Yes, I watch over the world, but I trust the other leaders of the different lands. They pray and call upon my aid. And I go to them."

Mila followed after the dragon queen with a smile on her face. At least she got to do some exploring. "So if you're a Divine Dragon… do you rule all the lands or?" She didn't know how this worked. It's not like they had a dragon like her back in Tellius. There WERE dragons, but not a Divine one.

She smiled warmly, very welcoming. "Of course, dear." She seemed to behave like a kind mother.
