Today was a vet visit for the youngest cat. He needed his rabies shot and his yearly exam. I also wanted to talk to the vet about giving him a sedative to go to the vet, like we do Anxiety cat.

The little shit peed on the way there. He got himself. He got the carrier. He got Miome. He got my car's upholstry. I didn't know a 13 pound cat could contain that much pee. But he did. So much pee.

I wasn't planning on cleaning cat pee up from everywhere this morning, but plans changed. Now that he's back at home, Mr. Peeman thinks life is good and wants petting. No. You peed everywhere. I'm still trying to decide if you smell bad enough to require a bath or if the wipes the vet office used were enough. You're not getting all the pets.

Is the 20 yards of fabric thing just bc that much fabric is a pain in the arse to roll off, or is it because you always know "you are a fool, you don't actually want 20 yards, you're going to make me roll this all off and then realise it's way too much"?

See, here's the thing: first of all, only the tulle comes in bolts of 20 yards. Everything else? The cotton, the apparal fabrics, the upholstry stuff? Those bolts- at most- have between 8 to 10 yards on them.

But the tulle only has 20 yards if it's freshly shipped-in and uncut. And unless whoever stocked it left the plastic on, I can't tell if it's been cut. I have to roll it out and count. Which takes ages. And then I have to fold it back up, whether or not you buy it. I'm not, like, mad that you want 20 yards of fabric, it's just that, well, I have so much to do and 90% of the time at our walmart, I'm the only associate on the clock for three or four different departments.

We literally have our stationary, crafts/fabrics, celebrations, and seasonal departments all rolled up into one. Thats the entire middle section of the store. My job encompasses doing returns and putting out freight for each of those departments, plus doing fabric, plus keeping track of claims since for whatever reason, the actual claims department doesnt take care of our stuff and we have to do it ourselves. Plus zoning, which I never actually have time to do, which frustrates our managers because our departments look like an absolute shitshow. I went to toys the other day for a shift and because they only have to take care of toys, and have two to three people on the clock at any given time, its shockingly clean.

The problem comes down to the way the store is run, because of course it does, because capitalism sucks, but holy god I can promise you that 90% of the time we do not have 20 yards of any given fabric on hand and youre better off going to, like, Joann's, and not getting angry at me, because you had to wait ten minutes for me to untangle myself from the customer I was helping in Seasonal to run to the fabrics counter and tell you that we've only got, like, five yards
