Celebratory dates and Energies
have you ever felt a decrease in energy during Christmas, New Year, and the like?
Tumblr media
Have you noticed something common with year-end celebratory dates? I don't know your level of sensitivity, and it's okay if you haven't noticed this, but every year-end, the collective vibration level drops a bit, and this happens because of what is behind the way we experience these dates.
Currently, we still force and reinforce various patterns around the "perfect" way to celebrate a special occasion. It's the time when many people feel somewhat obligated to be part of something they 1) don't enjoy, 2) be close to people they wouldn't want to be around, 3) experience something that does not reflect their true desires for that day.
Especially because we're talking about a moment that commerce and society define as a "family moment," those dealing with difficulties around family feel double the pressure and limiting beliefs projected by others, thus, the vibration decreases.
And why does the energy reduction happen more collectively? Because it's something we still have to evolve and improve.
Empaths and beings with a heightened sensitivity understand well what I'm saying. If your conscious mind hasn't made you think about it yet, just remember the times you felt down or melancholic at the end of the year. It's not just because it's the end of a cycle; it's a moment when collectively shared limiting beliefs (about family, etc.) are reinforced.
Here in Brazil, at least, we deal a lot with very traditional ideas about family. According to Brazilian tradition - that is ingrained in our collective consciousness - family holds immense value in a person's life, which is interesting. However, due to the almost sacred nature attributed to family, all pains, bitterness, complications aren't dealt with in the most appropriate way because (before any reflection) idolatry comes first…
And so, the pains are experienced differently: they are kept, buried, because parents and family members are sacred authorities, and one cannot question them.
With joy, I see here and there that we are encouraged to open our minds, with famous cases coming to light (here in Brazil, for example, the case of Larissa Manoela, among others), showing us that there is no automatic love or perfection just because someone is a father or mother. After all, they are humans like us, destined to make mistakes and they also can be really difficult people to keep close - just like anyone.
On days like these when, for whatever reason, we still cannot fully exercise the desires of our hearts, days when we cannot live the dates our way, I hope everything goes as smoothly as possible because the melancholy that lingers in part of the collective energy (not all of it) is evident.
I hope that one day we experience more of the flavor of what Love truly is… not to restrain, not to demand that a person be and act in a certain way; but simply to be as they are, naturally, without these demands that tie, imprison, and represent much more projection than true love.
After all, who said that blood ties are an automatic source of Love? Reflecting is necessary - observing the world around us too! The evidence is there.
May we be more and more free each day and able to perceive the effects of these prisons in which we place ourselves and others.
Ask yourself: Why demand that Christmas be a certain way? Does everyone feel good being in that same environment at the same time? What did each person want to do on that day? What is the value of this tradition if it generates more inner sadness, melancholy, anger than unity?
Appearances, social status.... why?
Everything has a price, and unfortunately, we collectively deal with the price of seeing and living celebratory dates like this.
May we learn the language of freedom once and for all.
Freedom is synonymous with fluidity, peace, love…

Can you pls talk about king Alexander I of Yugoslavia & his wife mignon.
Does he was loyal to her? Did they had a loving marriage?.
I tried so hard to find some info but it's so hard!😭
Hi! Of course, I’ll try to, to the best of my knowledge.
I’m not entirely convinced whether the match was one of true love or not, but I do believe the two had respect for one another.
Alexander had fallen in love with Tatiana, Tsar Nicholas II’s second daughter, when he was a child, and he intended on marrying her, but his marital aspirations came crumbling when the Romanovs were slaughtered by the Bolsheviks. To quote Hannah Pakula, “he never fell in love again”. Mignon, too, had declared she was never going to marry amidst the marriage events of her siblings. In spite of Alexander’s heartbreak, he still expressed his wish for “practical matters, such as the consolidation of his dynasty”.
However, the idea of a marriage between Mignon and Alexander came through the auspices of Romanian politician, Take Ionescu, who supported Balkan unity. He spoke to Mignon about the “lonely young man, an orphan with a mentally unstable brother, a poor rich king in an empty palace, who was looking for a queen to brighten his life and give him a family”, which intrigued the ever so kindhearted Romanian princess.
The following passages are cited from Hannah Pakula’s book:
[…] Alexander vas invited to Sinaia for the Christmas holidays, "the time of all the year," according to the Princess, "when it must be most sad to be alone without family." A week or so after New Year's, Mignon took her suitor through the snow-covered forests on a tour of Castle Peles. They were gone some time. When they returned, she was leading him by the hand. The King of Yugoslavia spoke no English. "Mother, we have arranged it," said Mignon, who burst into tears and ran quickly out of the room.
Queen Marie was concerned. Although she knew Alexander had an excellent personal reputation and that the alliance would be extremely popular both countries, he was, in her words, "an outsider of unsure race." Shy, communicative, the King of Yugoslavia volunteered nothing about himself. Marie could not understand how her daughter could have accepted him so readily without knowing him better […]. The Princess herself seemed to have no anxieties, announcing her new status with pride to everyone around and insisting upon telegraphing government officials herself.
I interpret Mignon’s eagerness to become engaged with Alexander as a show of her empathetic nature, but also of attraction. Upon their marriage celebrations, Alexander purchased an incredibly exquisite but expensive set of jewels for his soon-to-be wife.
Now… I haven’t found much information about their actual marriage. It’s a rather vague subject. However, I think it was an agreeable one, but not exclusively loving. His mother-in-law described Alexander as “capricious”, and Mignon as “having developed a dependency on other women”. Please note that it was believed that Mignon was romantically interested in women and she allegedly had an affair with a former classmate from Heathfield School, Rosemary Cresswell, also a lady-in-waiting to her, after her husband's death. In terms of Alexander’s loyalty, there was an incident involving his sister-in-law, Elisabeth, which took place soon after Peter’s birth. Elisabeth was being very flirtatious towards Alexander, a fact which greatly bothered Mignon, but it was never mentioned if it was mutual. I haven’t read about any other cases of “infidelity”.
The only reaction on Mignon’s part after Alexander’s death that I was able to find was the following, noted by Marie of Romania: “She was extremely calm and wonderfully dignified, but her hands were shaking”.
I wish I could further elaborate, but I only possess so much information on the subject you’ve mentioned.
Unfortunately, as you’ve mentioned, resources (especially primary resources, like their diaries which have yet to be published, if they ever will be) on them are rather limited. However, I’ve managed to gather a few, though I’m afraid they might not be very accessible, since they’re not all available in English, but here they are nevertheless:
English language sources:
• The many works of Stephen Graham on King Alexander of Yugoslavia, such as Alexander of Yugoslavia: The Story of the King who was Murdered at Marseilles. You can read it here. Also, Alexander of Yugoslavia: The Strong Man of the Balkans, which you can read here.
• The website of the Royal Family of Serbia, that you can access here.
• The Last Romantic: A Biography of Queen Marie of Romania by Hannah Pakula. You can read it here.
• And of course, The story of my life by Queen Marie of Romania. Her memoirs are always very insightful and useful. You can read them here.
Romanian language sources:
• Mignon. Principesa României, Regina Iugoslaviei by Diana Mandache. It’s a very solid piece of work on Mignon, though, unfortunately, the biography has yet to be digitalised and translated into English.
• A ten page article on Mignon also written by Diana Mandache and published by the Romanian National Museum of History Journal that you can read here. It’s in Romanian, but you can use Google Translate to read it, if you’ve got the patience.
Serbian language sources:
• Marija Karađorđević - Kraljica Majka by Danica and Srđan Čolović.
• Marija Karađorđević: Kraljica Plem by Vojislava Latković.
Hope this helps :D

Christmas: A Celebration of Humility, Love, and the Timeless Teachings of Jesus Christ
Dr. Ravi Kumar L P, The UN Designate
Christmas, celebrated globally on December 25th, is more than just a festive occasion of lights, gifts, and gatherings. It is a time to reflect on the profound teachings and life of Jesus Christ, whose birth marks the essence of this celebration. The lessons from Christmas and Jesus Christ’s life serve as a beacon of hope, love, and compassion for humanity.
One of the core messages of Christmas is humility. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was born in a humble manger, emphasizing that greatness is not defined by wealth or status but by service and simplicity. This lesson reminds us to appreciate the simple joys of life and approach others with humility, regardless of our own accomplishments.
The life of Jesus Christ teaches us the importance of love and forgiveness. He preached unconditional love and forgave even those who wronged Him, setting an example of how to live a life of grace and understanding. During Christmas, we are reminded to extend this love to our family, friends, and even strangers. Acts of kindness, charity, and reconciliation are central to the true spirit of this season.
Another vital lesson from Jesus’ life is faith and hope. Even in times of hardship, Jesus remained steadfast in His mission, trusting in God’s plan. Christmas, a celebration of His birth, signifies the hope for a brighter future and the triumph of good over evil. It encourages us to remain resilient and optimistic, no matter how challenging our circumstances may be.
Finally, Jesus Christ’s teachings emphasize the value of selflessness and sacrifice. His life was a testament to serving others and prioritizing the well-being of humanity over personal gain. Christmas inspires us to emulate this selflessness by sharing our blessings with those in need and bringing joy to others.
In conclusion, Christmas is not just a celebration but a call to embody the virtues of humility, love, forgiveness, faith, and selflessness that Jesus Christ exemplified. As we commemorate His birth, let us strive to incorporate these values into our daily lives, fostering a world of compassion and unity.

Anglo Catholic Church St. Paul the Apostle
Pax Evangelica
All Christians recite the Creed which invokes the ONE, HOLY, CATHOLIC AND APOSTOLIC Church as desired by our Lord Jesus Christ.
However there are three major groups in Christianity: the Roman, the Orthodox and the Anglican. Each group has its own characteristics and over the centuries there have frequently been quarrels and misunderstandings which have disregarded the directives of our Lord even, at times, in a blatantly incomprehensible way.
The divisions and differences in uses, customs and traditions are physiological between the Christian Churches which each live local realities and differ in the flow of time and these differences enrich humanity and Christianity if they are collected in a single container, that is, in the unity of intentions of all the Churches while they are not understandable when the inevitable differences are used not to enrich all of Christianity but are placed at the service of partisan interests and used to divide rather than unite.

The Anglo Catholic Church of Saint Paul the Apostle is a small High Christian community in the Anglican panorama and this means that it feels very close to the Roman Christians and the Orthodox ones: an important starting point to be close to that unity of purpose that invokes the prayer of Creed recited every day by all Christians.
To give a real follow-up to the invocations of the Creed we are trying to open new paths that aim at what we call the Pax Evangelica.
In the year of our Lord 2022 we began to consecrate our parishes and ecclesial structures to all three liturgies, ensuring that churches and chapels are suitable for celebrating Roman, Orthodox and Anglican liturgies. We tried to use sacred furnishings and ornaments that were not in conflict with anyone, for example by avoiding statues and depictions replaced by icons. We celebrate the Holy Mass with the rite requested by the faithful, often fusing liturgies and uses belonging to different sources, trying to use the best things of each of the three Christian souls.
In the year of the Lord 2023 we created, within our Church, a Roman Catholic Christian Institute led by Msgr. Ludovico Allegretti, a priest of the Roman liturgy of great theological standing and a Western Orthodox Christian Catholic Institute led by Msgr. Orlando Francesco Amendola Orthodox Archesarch of the European Continent.
With the creation of these autonomous Institutes we have decisively overcome the traditional intercommunions between Churches which are limited to mutual recognition, creating a level of synergistic integration never achieved before.
The Holy Father Francis has been trying for some years to create a common Roman-Orthodox-Anglican rite for the liturgy of the Holy Mass, often finding insurmountable difficulties because no one intends to give up their identity and diversity. We are simply integrating the best things of the different liturgies, leaving priests the possibility of choosing without limits or discrimination how to honor our Lord.
For some time we have avoided entering into the debate between the different liturgical calendars and without asking ourselves the problem of deciding which is the correct date of Christmas or Easter we have simply decided to celebrate them and honor all the dates through gifts and special meals for those in need all occasions.
We do not distinguish between Roman-Anglican and Orthodox Easter but we celebrate both dates to make those who need it happy twice. There are no distinctions between calendarists and old-calendarists but double opportunities to bring relief to those who suffer.
We pray helping those who suffer and we take the different dates between the liturgical calendars as an opportunity to celebrate and help our less fortunate neighbors.
If in Orthodox theology engagement is a more important event than marriage, we consider them both fundamental, honoring them both equally in order to celebrate them both in the best perspective and create two solemn occasions to present the birth of a new family unit to God. .
Our Church with its autonomous Institutes includes clergy of every liturgy and Christian orientation and we do not ask all these deacons, priests and bishops to cancel their own beliefs and traditions but, on the contrary, to keep them alive to enrich the common liturgies in the encounter and in the synergy of different points of view.
Our Lord saved all humanity without discriminating and dividing but uniting everyone in his name, so who are we to oppose His will for foolish partisan interests.
The Pax Evangelica is something immense, a wonderful dream that is certainly coming true not by the will of our small Church. We follow a luminous path indicated to us and traced by Superior Spirits who guide the actions of our little clergy who are becoming the humble instruments of a Good and a superior Will that intends to unite without destroying but, on the contrary, valorising those diversities that enrich the wonderful kaleidoscope of the human race created by the free will that was given to us to improve and evolve and not to destroy each other without any profit to anyone.
Until now, no one has even thought of integrating different priests, traditions and liturgies! We are doing it first, but certainly not thanks to us. We try to unite and our intercommunions are synergies created to unite different uses and are not titles of merit to be shown.
Our synergies are the integration of different traditions in the common belief that we follow a single God through a single Faith and a single great, immense Church which without borders or discrimination brings together all of us who breathe the same air.

in a world of boys, he’s a gentlemen
“Got lovestruck, went straight to my head. Got lovesick, all over my bed”
A look through of Stacy and Edward’s relationship right after he proposed. The royal life, a whirlwind of emotions.
Chapter 14/40
Pairing: Stacy x Edward
Link: https://archiveofourown.org/works/51843736/chapters/13107811
Stacy, with a determined stride and a question for Edward on her mind, approached his room. The ornate details of the palace corridor seemed to fade away as she focused on the task at hand. Little did she know that a chance encounter would momentarily shift her attention.
Upon entering, Stacy found Edward in the midst of changing, shirtless, with only his polo partially covering his chest. Stacy's gaze unintentionally lingered for a moment longer than she intended, captivated by the sight of her soon-to-be-husband. Edward's sculpted chest, defined by the play of shadows accentuating every contour, stole Stacy's focus as she entered the room. Surely, she had seen her fiancé's chest on the night of their 2nd engagement after the two of them couldn't ignore the pull of desire and resulted into sex.
In the midst of her absent minded state, Stacy tripped over a rug, her balance forsaking her. But just as she felt the imminent impact of the fall, strong arms caught her in a secure embrace. Their eyes locked, and the grandeur of the moment seemed to freeze.
Stacy's hand, still on Edward's chest from the unexpected embrace, lingered as if savoring the warmth beneath her touch. The silence between them was thick, the air filled with unspoken words. In that vulnerable moment, the burdens and titles that came with their royal roles faded, leaving only the raw authenticity of two individuals connected by love.
"D-Darling," Edward's voice broke the silence, his eyes warm and understanding, "would you mind removing your hand?"
Embarrassment flooded Stacy's cheeks as she hastily withdrew her hand from Edward's chest. She mumbled a quick apology and, without meeting Edward's eyes, fled from the room. The palace corridor offered little solace as she practically collided with Amelie, who was waiting just outside the door.
Amelie arched an eyebrow, her expression a mix of curiosity and amusement. "Is everything alright, Lady Stacy? You seemed quite red. "
Stacy, still flustered, managed a forced smile as she struggled to hide the visible hue of redness in her cheek. "Just fine, Amelie. Just fine."
Once a considerable distance from Amelie, Stacy couldn't help but grumble to herself. "For goodness sake, i already fucked him. Why the hell are you still embarrassed, Stace?"
Amelie, continuing Stacy's lessons, painted a rich tapestry of Belgravia's geographical and historical landscape. With a sense of pride, she began by emphasizing Belgravia's status as an parliamentary monarchy, highlighting the nation's deep-rooted traditions and a history shaped by its monarchy.
"Belgravia, Your Ladyship," Amelie began, "is a land steeped in history and revered traditions. Among its many celebrated events, the International Christmas Baking Competition stands out as a testament to the unity and festive spirit that courses through the kingdom during the holiday season."
As the lesson shifted to geography, Amelie elaborated, "Geographically, Belgravia boasts two modest coastlines—one embracing the Baltic Sea in the Northwest and the other gracing the Black Sea in the Southeast. The northern border gracefully traces the path of the Turuntus flu, a river flowing from the Western Baltic to the Eastern region of Sibiones."
Her eyes gleamed with appreciation as she continued, "The North and West regions of Belgravia are cloaked in dense forests, not only enhancing the country's natural beauty but also serving as a vital resource that has sustained the kingdom's vitality for generations."
Transitioning to Belgravia's neighbor, Aldovia, Amelie's narrative took a turn towards a neighboring realm with its own distinct political structure."Aldovia, situated in central Europe, operates as a constitutional monarchy," Amelie detailed. "Ruled by King Richard II and Queen Amber of Moore, Aldovia has experienced transformative moments under King Richard's reign, including the New Aldovia Initiative and the consequential arrest of Lord Leopold Plumtree. The kingdom is divided into seven provinces, among which Koho holds its own significance."
Amelie then delved into the transformative reforms initiated by King Richard. "Notably, King Richard altered the Aldovian line of succession, extending it to include female successors—a progressive stride in the kingdom's history. Queen Amber, hailing from New York, is a journalist of remarkable integrity."
As the lesson continued, Amelie underlined Queen Amber's commitment to journalistic independence, even amid her royal duties. "Queen Amber's blog, Amber's Blog, has been a continuous source of insight, covering incidents ranging from the Aldovian financial scandal of 2018 to the delightful royal cookie-decorating parties. At present, Queen Amber is currently pregnant with their firstborn, marking a new chapter in the dynamic history of Aldovia."
Continuing the lesson, Amelie expanded on the geopolitical dynamics, introducing Penglia as Aldovia's closest ally situated to the east. The mention of Penglia brought with it a distinct cultural and political landscape that starkly contrasted with Aldovia's constitutional monarchy.
"Penglia," Amelie explained, "occupies the eastern borders of Aldovia and stands as one of the nation's closest allies. Ruled by King Tai and his queen consort, Queen Ming, Penglia is known for its conservative values and adherence to traditional principles. The Penglians, while being a valuable ally, maintain a rather old-fashioned approach in their societal norms."
Amelie's expression took on a subtle gravity as she continued, "King Tai and Queen Ming play pivotal roles in the governance and representation of Penglia. The queen, in particular, is often perceived as a figure of great authority and can appear quite formidable due to the conservative nature of their country."
She elaborated, "Penglia's commitment to tradition is reflected in its governance and societal norms, making it distinct from the more progressive structures seen in Aldovia. Understanding these nuances is crucial for diplomatic relations and interactions with our esteemed ally."
Amelie continued the lesson, weaving the diplomatic ties between Belgravia and Montenaro into the intricate tapestry of Stacy's royal education. "Montenaro, Your Ladyship, is a strong ally to Belgravia," Amelie explained. "This alliance has historical roots, strengthened by shared values and collaborative efforts between the two nations. It's a testament to the importance of fostering positive relationships in the international arena."
She then delved into the personal connections within the royal circles, shedding light on the unique dynamic between Belgravia and Montenaro. "Duchess Margaret, a prominent figure in Montenaro, was once engaged to Prince Edward. Despite the dissolution of their engagement, their bond has endured, evolving into a lasting friendship. Duchess Margaret remains an influential figure, and her connection to our own Prince Edward adds an interesting layer to the diplomatic landscape."
Transitioning to the current monarch in Montenaro, Amelie provided insight into the reigning King Dennis and the line of succession. "King Dennis currently occupies the throne, and Prince Howard, Duchess Margaret's cousin, stands as the heir apparent. This familial tie further solidifies the bonds between Belgravia and Montenaro, making diplomatic engagements not just matters of state but also reflections of longstanding personal connections."
Stacy, feeling a bit overwhelmed by the wealth of information about the geopolitical landscape, diplomatic ties, and royal connections, couldn't help but express her feelings to Amelie."Amelie, my head is going to spin with all these facts and connections," Stacy admitted with a chuckle, a hint of bewilderment in her voice. "It's like navigating a maze of alliances and histories. How do you keep track of it all?"
Amelie offered a reassuring smile, understanding the weight of the information presented. "It can be quite a lot to absorb initially, Your Ladyship. But over time, as you engage more in diplomatic affairs and interact with various royal counterparts, it will become more familiar. I'm here to guide you every step of the way."
Stacy, feeling the weight of the royal facts and diplomatic intricacies pressing on her, looked at Amelie with a wry smile. "Amelie, do you think we could call it a day?" Stacy requested with a hint of humor in her voice. "All these royal facts are making my head spin, and I could use a break."
Amelie, ever understanding, nodded in agreement. "Of course, Your Highness. It's important to pace yourself. We can resume the lessons when you feel ready. Perhaps a moment of relaxation would be beneficial."
Stacy sighed in relief, grateful for Amelie's understanding. "Thank you, Amelie. I think I just need a bit of time to let all this information settle in."
The day unfolded in the stately elegance of the royal palace, where the intertwining of duty and personal moments played out seamlessly. Stacy, tasked with her homework on international relations and protocol by Amelie, found herself in Prince Edward's study. As Edward immersed himself in the affairs of the kingdom, Stacy perched herself on a comfortable chair, her eyes shifting between the documents in front of her and the studious concentration on Edward's face.
Amelie, ever observant, had noticed Stacy's restlessness in their earlier meetings. Recognizing the need for a moment of respite, she had granted Stacy the freedom to relax while still keeping a semblance of royal duties intact. Stacy, glancing up from her notes, watched Edward with a mix of admiration and affection. The air in the study was filled with the soft rustling of papers and the occasional murmur of discussions.
Edward, sensing Stacy's gaze, looked up and met her eyes with a warm smile. "How's the royal homework coming along?" he inquired, a hint of playfulness in his voice.
Stacy chuckled, her eyes sparkling. "It's a lot to take in, but I'm managing. Watching you work is quite the distraction, though."
Edward grinned, appreciating the lightness Stacy brought into the room. "Well, consider it a royal privilege to have a distracting presence in my study. Keeps things interesting."
The royal palace gardens, bathed in the soft glow of the afternoon sun, provided the perfect backdrop for a moment of respite. Edward, recognizing Stacy's dedication to her royal homework, decided to coax her outside for a picnic. "Stacy," Edward said with a charming smile, "why don't we take a break? The weather is delightful, and I have a little surprise for you."
Stacy, a twinkle of curiosity in her eyes, closed her book and followed Edward to a secluded spot in the garden. A carefully arranged picnic awaited them, complete with a spread of delectable treats and a cozy blanket. As they settled down, Edward convinced Stacy to lie her head on his lap while she went on reading her assigned materials. The gentle rustle of leaves and the distant murmur of the palace life created a serene ambiance.
Stacy, absorbed in her studies, occasionally peeked up from her book. Each time she did, Edward couldn't resist planting a sweet kiss on her forehead. Their interplay became a dance of affection and concentration, a harmonious blend of royal duties and personal moments. After a while, Edward gently took the book away from Stacy, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "I think you've earned a break from your studies, my love. Let's enjoy the day without the weight of books and protocols."
Amidst the laughter and shared moments in the palace gardens, a playful chase ensued. Edward, holding Stacy's royal homework in hand, teased her by keeping it just out of her reach.
"Come on, Edward! Give it back!" Stacy laughed, her eyes sparkling with a mix of amusement and determination as she pursued him through the garden.
Edward, feigning innocence, kept a teasing distance. "Why so serious, darling? I thought we were taking a break from the books. Loosen up a bit!"
Stacy, her royal duties momentarily forgotten in the pursuit, grinned and quickened her pace. "Loosen up? I can do that after I get my book back. It's important!"
Edward, his playful demeanor taking a mock-serious turn, looked at the book with faux jealousy. "I'm starting to feel neglected here. Is that book more important than spending time with your dashing prince?"
Stacy, catching up to him, chuckled and reached for the book. "Of course not, but it's still important. Amelie will have my head if I don't finish this assignment."
Edward relented, handing her the book with a sigh. "Alright, alright. Your royal duties await. But remember, I might get jealous if that book steals all your attention."
Stacy, with a playful twinkle in her eye, reassured him, "No book can steal my attention away from you, my prince. Now, let's enjoy the rest of our break together."
As they lounged in the palace gardens, the playful banter continued between Stacy and Edward. However, Edward, with a genuine smile, decided to playfully convince Stacy to drop the royal homework book, if only for a little while.
"Stacy, darling," Edward said, his eyes filled with affection, "I understand the importance of your duties, but just for this moment, let's drop the book. There's a beautiful day unfolding before us, and I want to enjoy it with you."
Stacy, torn between her dedication to her royal duties and the undeniable allure of a carefree moment with Edward, hesitated. Edward, gently taking the book from her hands, continued, "Amelie won't mind if you take a brief break. I promise we'll make it up later, perhaps with an extra dose of diligence."
With a playful pout, Stacy conceded, "Alright, just for a little while. But I expect you to help me catch up later."
Edward grinned, tucking the book aside, "Deal. Now, let's savor this moment without the weight of royal responsibilities."
As the playful interlude in the palace gardens unfolded, Edward, with a mischievous twinkle in his eye, took the book from Stacy's hands. Seeing this, Amelie, who had been discreetly observing from afar, approached with a curious expression.
"Your Highness," Amelie inquired, "is everything alright?"
Edward, still wearing a playful grin, handed the book to Amelie and replied, "Just ensuring that our Princess takes a moment to enjoy the day without the weight of royal duties. We can return to the books later."
Amelie, momentarily surprised, accepted the book, her confusion evident. Stacy, with a sheepish smile, explained, "He convinced me to take a break, Amelie. Just for a little while."
Amelie, her initial confusion giving way to a knowing smile, nodded. "Ah, I see. Well, it's essential to find moments of relaxation amidst the responsibilities. But," she added with a teasing tone, "make sure to catch up on your assignments later, Lady Stacy."
Stacy, with a playful salute, replied, "Yes, ma'am! I promise to make up for it."
They had not expected that it would rain.
The rain-soaked gardens of the palace became a form of solace for Edward and Stacy, their laughter echoing through the air. Amelie, realizing the potential consequences of this lively escapade, sprinted after them with an umbrella in hand. "Prince Edward, Lady Stacy, you both are going to catch a cold if you keep this up!" Amelie called out, her voice a mix of concern and exasperation.
But Edward, his eyes gleaming with mischief, spun Stacy around once more, their laughter defying the sensible warnings of the royal attache. "Amelie, you worry too much! This is the happiest we've been in a while."
As Amelie continued her pursuit, the grand entrance of the palace witnessed the arrival of a car. Queen Ming, one of Queen Caroline's esteemed friends, stepped out and observed the spectacle in the gardens. However, Amelie, quick on her feet, had ushered Edward and Stacy away from the grand entrance, guiding them through the service entrance to avoid any immediate encounters.
Meanwhile, Queen Ming, her curiosity piqued, watched from a distance. The disapproval in her eyes deepened as she witnessed the unconventional display of the future prince and princess frolicking in the rain.
Back in the gardens, Amelie finally caught up with the playful couple, umbrella in hand and a reproachful expression on her face. "Prince Edward, Princess Stacy, we mustn't forget the decorum befitting your station!"
Edward, slightly out of breath but grinning nonetheless, replied, "Come on, Amelie, a little rain never hurt anyone. Besides, we needed this." As they bantered, Queen Ming, maintaining her composed demeanor, observed from afar. The unexpected introduction to the future monarchs left an indelible mark on her initial impression of Stacy.
In the elegant confines of the palace, Queen Ming and Queen Caroline settled into a serene atmosphere for their afternoon tea. The air carried the fragrance of freshly brewed tea leaves as delicate china cups clinked softly against saucers. "Caroline, my dear, how delightful to see you," Queen Ming greeted with a serene smile, her tone carrying an air of grace.
"Likewise, Ming. It's been far too long," replied Queen Caroline, returning the warmth in her friend's greeting.
As they sipped their tea, Queen Ming's curiosity got the better of her. "I must inquire, Caroline, about Prince Edward's fiancée. I've heard little about her."
Queen Caroline, maintaining her regal composure, replied, "Ah, yes, Stacy. She's a charming young woman, adjusting quite well to the demands of royalty."
Queen Ming, tactful in her approach, decided not to mention the scene she had witnessed earlier in the rain. "I look forward to meeting her," she simply remarked, masking her previous observations.
Queen Caroline, adept in the nuances of royal etiquette, discreetly signaled one of her attendants. "Kindly relay to Stacy's attache that she'll be joining us for tea," she instructed, ensuring Stacy's presence without making it appear too deliberate.
Amidst the opulent ambiance of Stacy's chambers, Amelie grumbled under her breath as she diligently dried Stacy off. The rain-soaked escapade had left its mark, and Amelie, ever the stickler for decorum, couldn't quite shake off her vexation.
"Running through the rain like a pair of carefree children," Amelie muttered, gently towel-drying Stacy's hair. "This is hardly the behavior befitting a future princess."
Stacy, smiling sheepishly, tried to lighten the mood. "Well, Amelie, sometimes a little spontaneity is good for the soul."
As Amelie continued to grumble, a discreet knock echoed through the room. An attendant of the queen entered, relaying the message about Stacy joining the tea session.
Stacy's smile turned awkward as she looked at Amelie. "I suppose I should go, then."
Amelie, with a stern expression, nodded. "Indeed, you should. This is a royal tea, not a casual gathering."
As the attendant left, Stacy turned to Amelie with a hopeful expression. "What if I told them I'm not feeling well? Can I sit this one out?"
Amelie, brushing Stacy's hair with a sense of resolve, replied firmly, "Absolutely not. This is not the time for excuses, Lady Stacy. You're representing Belgravia, and first impressions matter."
Stacy sighed, feeling the weight of nervousness settle in. "I just... I don't want to mess up."
Amelie, softening her tone, reassured her, "You'll be fine. Just be yourself and remember your royal etiquette and protocol."
Stacy, taking a deep breath, nodded. "Alright, let's do this."
Amid the rush to prepare Stacy for the royal tea, Amelie's efficiency shone through. In a whirlwind of organized chaos, she orchestrated a royal makeover that transformed Stacy's appearance in a mere 15 minutes. With a decisive touch, Amelie selected an elegant dress that befitted the occasion, its fabric flowing gracefully as Stacy slipped into it. The heels, a necessary component of royal attire, appeared as if summoned by Amelie's command.
"Stacy, stand up straight, shoulders back," Amelie instructed, her hands moving with precision to ensure every detail fell into place.
As Stacy was swiftly adorned in the regal ensemble, Amelie stepped back, assessing her work with a nod of approval. "There we go, Lady Stacy. Now, remember your posture, maintain a gracious demeanor, and above all, exude confidence."
Stacy, slightly breathless from the whirlwind transformation, took a moment to collect herself. "Amelie, I don't know how you do it so quickly."
Amelie, with a wry smile, replied, "Years of practice, my dear. Now, let's not keep the queens waiting. You've got this."
With that, Stacy, now the epitome of royal elegance, headed towards the royal tea, guided by Amelie's unwavering expertise. In those 15 minutes, Amelie had not just dressed Stacy; she had bestowed upon her the essence of royalty, a seamless blend of grace, poise, and the unmistakable air of Belgravian elegance.
As Stacy and Amelie made their way towards the tea room, the nervous flutter in Stacy's stomach intensified. The weight of expectation hung heavy on her shoulders, and the regal corridors seemed to close in around her. "Amelie, what if I trip or say something completely wrong? Maybe I should have declined the tea," Stacy nervously mused, attempting to rationalize her unease.
Amelie, steadfast in her role as both attache and confidante, offered a reassuring smile. "Stacy, you've been preparing for this moment. Remember the lessons, be gracious, and everything will fall into place."
Stacy, though grateful for Amelie's support, couldn't shake the nagging doubt. "But what if I mess up the royal protocol or offend Queen Ming unintentionally?"
Amelie, gently steering Stacy forward, responded with a touch of firmness, "You won't. Just follow my lead, and remember, you're representing Belgravia. This is your chance to make a positive impression."
As they approached the tea room, Stacy's nerves threatened to overpower her. "Amelie, maybe I can just observe today and not say much?"
Amelie, stopping in her tracks, looked at Stacy with a reassuring gaze. "Lady Stacy, you're more than capable. Embrace the moment, be yourself, and let your natural charm shine through."
With Amelie's encouragement, Stacy took a deep breath, summoning the courage to step into the tea room. The challenges of royal life awaited her, but with Amelie by her side, Stacy braced herself for the grand introduction that lay just beyond the elegant doors,

Denny JA Explores the inspiration of religions as a source of extraordinary cultural wealth. DOCX
There are various sources of extraordinary cultural wealth in Indonesia, one of which is the religions adopted by the community. These religions are not only a moral and spiritual foundation, but also become an unlimited source of inspiration for art, culture, and tradition in Indonesia. In this article, we will explore how religions in Indonesia become an extraordinary source of cultural wealth and how the inspiration of these religions inspires Indonesian people.
One figure who really appreciates the role of religion in the richness of Indonesian culture is Denny JA. Denny JA, an intellectual figure, writer, and social activist, has studied and analyzed various aspects of the life of religions in Indonesia. According to Denny JA, religions in Indonesia are not just a flow of beliefs, but are also guardians and heirs of Indonesian culture.    In Denny Ja’s view, religions in Indonesia have great potential to enrich Indonesian culture. Denny Ja stressed the importance of exploring inspiration from these religions, especially in the context of art and culture. According to him, art and culture are a reflection of the values believed by the community, and religion plays a key role in shaping these values.    For example, in fine arts, religions in Indonesia provide inspiration for artists to create works that describe spiritual values and daily life. Art works such as paintings, carvings, and statues often describe stories from the holy books or the mythology of religions in Indonesia. In dance, religion is also a source of inspiration to create movements that are full of spiritual meaning.    In addition to fine arts and dance, religion also provides inspiration in traditional Indonesian music. Gamelan music, keroncong, or traditional regional music often contains religious elements originating from religions in Indonesia. The lyrics of traditional songs also often contain moral and spiritual messages sourced from the teachings of religions.    Not only in art, religion also provides inspiration in traditions and customs in Indonesia. Religious celebrations such as Eid al-Fitr, Christmas, and Nyepi are important moments in the lives of Indonesian people. Unique traditions related to these celebrations are the result of inspiration from the teachings of religions adopted by the community.    Denny Ja believes that exploring inspiration from religions in Indonesia is not only important to enrich Indonesian culture, but also to strengthen national unity and integrity. In diverse society such as Indonesia, religions are a strong social glue. Understanding and respecting the diversity of religions in Indonesia can strengthen relations between religious believers and encourage cooperation in building a better nation.    In addition, Denny Ja also stressed the importance of rich and inclusive religious education. Through good religious education, people can better understand the universal values contained in religions in Indonesia. Inclusive religious education will also help promote tolerance and appreciation for the diversity of religions in Indonesia.    In exploring inspiration from religions in Indonesia, Denny Ja stressed the importance of an open and respectful approach. He argues that no religion is superior or lower than the others. Every religion has a unique cultural wealth and is beneficial to the people of Indonesia.    In conclusion, religions in Indonesia are an extraordinary source of cultural wealth.

‘tis the damn season
regulus black x muggleborn!reader
type: angst
word count: 1.8k
summary: leaving regulus on boxing day after an explosive (literally) christmas party
warnings: drinking, hate groups (death eaters)
masterlist
𝜗𝜚
“Come on, Y/N, you’ll have to face him at some point,” Dorcas said, stroking back your hair from your tear stained face. You sniffed, turning and finally facing her. The sun was barely peeking through the drawn curtains, a sliver of it landing right next to her.
“Sirius was right and I should’ve listened,” you said, wiping your eyes with the sleeve of your shirt. You were quite sure what he was right about. Maybe it was him telling you to stay away from the group of Slytherins you had been hanging out with, maybe it was when he insisted you not go out with his younger brother, or, possibly, it could’ve been when he warned you against going to a Christmas party at number 12 Grimmauld Place. “I was being stupid.”
“Don’t say that,” she said, sitting up and looking down at you. “Sirius was being an asshole and you couldn’t have known what would happen.”
But you should’ve known, you told yourself. You should’ve known that Regulus’ family would’ve reacted to you the way they did. You should’ve known that a Black family Christmas party would be full of death eaters and sympathizers. But Regulus should’ve known how dangerous bringing you actually was. Regulus should’ve known that leaving you alone to get drunk was a bad idea. He should’ve been the one comforting you now, not his friend who was now having to apologize for the actions of her housemates.
There was a knock at the door and Dorcas got up to answer it. She pulled it open just enough to peak her head out before pulling it open all the way and letting Pandora in. She smiled weakly at you.
“The boys are all having breakfast,” she said, leaning against the post at the end of the bed you were laying. Dorcas resumed her position next to you. “I can have Kreacher bring you something if you’d like.”
“Do they remember anything that went on last night?” Dorcas asked. Pandora bit her lip.
“I don’t think so.”
Regulus, Evan, and Barty decided to get shitfaced along with a few of their other pure blood friends in attendance, making the night even worse for you and the other two in trying to keep them out of trouble. Regulus was fun to be around when he got drunk at parties, not when you needed him to be there for you.
The night was supposed to be great. You knew from Sirius’ warnings that you should’ve managed your expectations better, but you couldn’t help but become excited at the idea of attending a high society party with your close friends and boyfriend. You, Dorcas, and Pandora spent the whole day getting ready- doing each other’s hair and makeup, helping each other into the dress robes you all had picked out days before. You were practically giddy with excitement by the time you made your way downstairs to see Regulus as the party guests began to arrive.
“You look beautiful, mon coeur,” he had told you once you appeared in front of him. You were both too enamored with each other to notice the disapproving looks of the passing blood purist.
The dinner was only moderately uncomfortable- you spent most of your time talking to Pandora, Regulus, and Barty as they were on either side and across from you. You tried to ignore the talk around you of blood status politics.
Even after the dinner when the boys began drinking and you, Dorcas, and Pandora gathered yourselves in a secluded corner, you weren’t exactly miserable yet. It wasn’t Walburga pulled the attention of the crowd by tapping her wand to the side of a metal goblet that your stomach filled with actual dread.
“Ladies and gentlemen, dearest friends, I would like to thank you for coming on this lovely night,” her voice echoed artificially throughout the entire house. “Tonight we celebrate many things, friends and family among those, but most of all, we celebrate unity under the Dark Lord.” Dorcas’ hand instinctively grabbed your arm and you could feel Pandora tense next to you.
“We should find Regulus,” the blonde whispered, discreetly scanning the room for the nearest exit. Walburga continued to ramble on about their mission and blood purity and the Dark Lord- you get the picture.
“I kindly ask all of you to make your way out to the courtyard for a holiday firework display,” Walburga’s voice echoed. You watched Abraxas Malfoy clear his throat from beside her and she quickly shot him one of her deadly looks. “The show was provided to us by the Malfoy family,” she said through gritted, pearl-white teeth.
You, Dorcas, and Pandora began to follow crowds towards the exits, stopping in a corridor just outside the entrance to the back courtyard where people were gathering.
“This way,” Pandora whispered, you and Dorcas trusting her as she led you down a hallway. The grand, arched windows provided enough of a view of the party guests outside that you could look from afar as the light show began. You were distracted with trying to find Regulus’ unruly mop of hair to notice the fireworks until you heard Dorcas gasp. What you saw made your blood run cold.
A glowing dark mark appeared in the sky, the snake slithering out of the skull’s mouth and around the rest of it before bursting into thousands of little beads of light which quickly began to form new shapes.
“They can’t be,” Dorcas said, dumbfounded by the horrendous display in front of her. “Not this outright, not this open.” Being in Slytherin meant she was used to small displays of loyalty to Voldemort, but nothing like this. This was bold, even for the Black family.
“We have to find Regulus,” you whispered, grabbing fistfuls of your dress and walking faster down the hall.
But you hadn’t found Regulus, at least, not until after it was too late. Him, Evan, and Barty were sitting outside on the ground, drunk out of their minds, and laughing at the glowing images in the air. Images of horrible, blood supremacist acts being committed, images of Dumbledore’s head on a stick, images of their beloved school being consumed by snakes coming directly out of the mouth of a dark mark. Reasonably, you knew they didn’t know what they were laughing at. Their eyes probably couldn’t even focus on what was right in front of them, let alone the lights a hundred feet up in the air.
But here you were in tears, at his house, at his family’s party, scared for your actual life, and he was happy and drunk. He wasn’t comforting you, he wasn’t trying to help you leave for the Potters’ through the floo network, he wasn’t doing anything except looking at you with that dopey smile that made you fall for him.
To say you were angry was an understatement. You were heartbroken. You were betrayed. He promised he’d stay by your side the whole night, and then there you were- you and your two friends sneaking through a house full of people who openly wanted you dead. Dorcas and Pandora stayed in the guest room you had been sleeping in that night with you and made sure to lock the door behind them when you got there. You all had trouble falling asleep that night- the horrific images played off as a hopeful firework display still fresh in your mind. And now here you were, crying in your bed because the boy who you defended to your other friends, who you fell in love with, had let you down in such an extreme way.
“There’s a fireplace in the kitchen we can use to go to Cas’ house,” Pandora offered. “I’ve used it before. We’d have to walk past them, that's the only thing.”
You sat up fully, brushing your hair over one shoulder to get it off your neck. “Like you said, Cas, I’ll have to face him at some point.”
You marched through the house, your bag in hand, the portraits that you had done your best to ignore the day before shouting obscenities at you. You didn’t think you could get any more upset, but when you entered the kitchen and Regulus’ face lit up, you could hardly stop your cheeks and neck from burning with- well, you weren’t sure what. It could’ve been anger, shame, flattery, or even sadness. It was probably sadness, you decided.
“Good morning, mon c- hey, what’re doing?” he stood up as you brushed past him, doing your best to avoid looking into his eyes. When his eyes fell to Pandora, she simply shook her head, silently telling him to let you leave. He didn’t listen, of course, he was a Black after all.
“Y/N, wait,” he said, placing a hand on your shoulder. You whipped around immediately, pushing his hand off of you. “Wha- what’s wrong?” he asked, shocked at what seemed to him as a sudden change in your mood. You could barely control your emotions as you looked at him. You felt the eyes of everyone in the room on you, making your skin crawl.
“You left me alone,” you muttered, barely loud enough for him to hear. You mentally cursed yourself at the childish sounding complaint.
“What?” he asked, a confused smile playing on his lips. Oh, the once so serious Regulus Black, now thinking everything was some kind of joke. The smile made your face burn- this time you knew from embarrassment- and you turned around again, making your way over to the fire place. “Y/N!” he said again, more sternly. “What’s going on?”
“You left me alone in a house full of people who very vocally want me dead, that’s what’s going on,” you finally exploded. “You left me to watch a firework display of people killing muggles, of people killing muggle-borns, of dark marks so you could party! I spent all night at a party all my friends told me not to go to- but I went anyway because you said it would be fun- listening to grown adults talk about wanting to wipe people like me off the face of the earth. And you weren’t there.”
Regulus stood there, frozen. His memory of the night prior was foggy, but he wouldn’t have done that, would he?
You scoffed at his silence and turned back around to the fireplace. You stepped in, taking a hand full of floo powder in your free hand.
“I’ll see you at your house, Cas,” you said, looking over Regulus’ shoulder. You looked back at him, still in front of you, still frozen. “Merry fucking Christmas, Reg.”
You threw the floo powder.

State of the game (literally)
I'm aiming to have this game published on Steam by October 1st, 2022. That basically means getting it finished by mid September at the latest, so that's around eight months from now. Is that doable? Who knows. Most likely; no.
The current state of the game is actually a bit further along than I'd hoped it would be considering my massive lack of skill with Unity. The character can move around as I want, look at things, interact and describe things they see. There’s context sensitive interaction so all actions are tied to object (doors open, pickups get picked up, buttons get switched, etc).
I’m trying not to overcomplicate things here. This is the first game I am working on with the aim to release which is actually viable to do so, so I’m not overcomplicating things here.
Tumblr media
There's a few hurdles to get over here. I am shit at writing stories, all the art needs to be made, I want the game to be fully voice acted as well. Welp.
Art
All of the art is going to be low poly - PS1 style graphics. I mentioned in my first post why; I just like the style. It’s got that tasty retro feel and still eaves some things up to the imagination. If it looks like a door or a statue or blade of grass then normally, that’s good enough. There’s also the general public appeal of it all. These ps1 style horror games are sort of in I suppose now. Or at least they were.
I’ll make art specific blogs at some point but I’m sticking to some rigid rules; my textures are at most 128x128 and the models can’t be so complicated that they look out of place. as for effects, I’ll use whatever looks good rather than sticking to what was possible on a PS1.
Story
I’m shit at writing stories, and I don’t usually read them either unless I know they’re going to be good. It’s tough, then, deciding to make such a story heavy game, but it’s something I am just going to learn. I like things a bit surreal, so the story is really reflecting that. What I have so far may constitute about an hour of gameplay, with fluff and exploration excluded.
Something I've found very hard is making this believable; why is a character here, what are they doing and how is that played out in a videogame? You can’t have a character kill a bunch of guys and then feel remorse for killing a special character, etc.
Design
The game has changed a lot in the 2 months I’ve been working on it (one month I suppose, if you count me going home for Christmas), but I’m somewhat settled on what features it will have, and will not have. For my first game lets just say that I am going to keep it simple.
Sound
Music and effects are one of my final considerations. I’ll likely rely on asset packs, free music and the like for this. When it comes to voice acting, I’m hoping to get some friends to do it. I hope they’re up for it, because there might be a lot.
Development
Might as well say it, I am using Playmaker here. I never got on with learning any programming language other than Javascript and web related languages, and I’m more of a ends suits the means kind of person here.
Tumblr media
Playmaker has basically allowed me to think of how something should work and then get it implemented almost immediately. While I know there are gonna be issues later, I’ll stick with it for now and rinse out any niggling issues for Game #2.
Conclusion and short term goals
Not sure how often I’ll update, but it’s good to have a dev blog again. Funnily enough my last dev blog is celebrating it’s 9 year anniversary on Tumblr (it’s private and pw protected), but nothing came of that other than lots of half made projects.
My next goal is to finish the story and whitebox the game. I’ve gone about things all wrong creating art test assets and putting them in the game, so it’s back to square 1 for now!
Anyway, see you in post 3 in the next week or so.

Firewhiskey is not the best mixer.
So I actually wrote something for the first time in years? Talking on Jily discord about the dream of Lily Luna and the gang meeting her grandparents. So I wrote the possible first bit of a time travel fic!
Lily Luna Potter stood, hands on hips, glaring across the room at her unsuspecting brother. In the centre of the dance floor, she had an interrupted view of her brother’s bent head discussing something with her cousin Fred. She swung her head from side to side, attempting to get a better view of him between the crowds of dancing people surrounding her. Her snooping was interrupted by a well wisher touching her shoulder and thanking her and her family for coming to the event, she forced a smile at the ministry official she was sure she was supposed to recognise, and by the time she turned her attention back to her brother, he was gone. Sighing in annoyance, Lily made her way towards to drinks table where she could see Teddy stood surveying the variety of chocolate cakes with an interest that was better placed combatting a difficult crossword.
“You haven’t spotted James plotting have you?” Lily glanced to her left to see Teddy smirk before consuming an eclair in one bite. He swallowed before looking at her directly.
“You know I want nothing to do with this ridiculous feud the two of you have started right? I stated that from the beginning.”
Despite his statement to the contrary, Teddy has actually been directly involved in the prank war that the Potter siblings had started since Lily had arrived home Hogwarts for the Christmas holidays four months ago. James had decided to continue the feud with increasing escalation with every passing incident that didn’t leave Lily humiliated to a level that satisfied James’ mischievous streak. This increasing escalation meant Lily was constantly on high alert, knowing her brother’s whereabouts within three feat at all times.
Realising Teddy was going to be no use, traitor, she filled her cup with punch and walked to the entrance of the Great Hall. Tonight was the annual victory ball for the Battle of Hogwarts, meaning that the Great Hall was filled to the brim with students, ministry officials, old Order of the Phoenix members and DA members. The theme this year was “unity” and attendees had been encouraged to be clad in the colours of another Hogwart’s house that was not their own.
Smoothing her knee length emerald green dress, she spotted her father, dressed in navy, surrounded by a number of stuffy looking ministry officials. Harry caught her eye and winked at his daughter, pulling a face that made Lily giggle. Her mum was nowhere to be found, but this wasn’t surprising, if anyone hated these functions more than her father it was her mother. Both Potter parents supported the cause more than anyone, having the highest stakes in the outcome for the victory the ball celebrated. However, Lily had listened to her parents complain on numerous occasions that events such as these were not to celebrate the victory over Voldemort, but to kiss her father’s arse and gain political power. Therefore, it was unsurprising that after showing her face, Ginny Potter tended to disguise herself into the sea of Weasley redheads.
At 15 years old, Lily had experienced many of these balls. They were insufferable, everyone felt like just because her surname was Potter it meant that they could know the ins and outs of her life, private and otherwise. Tonight alone she had had three elderly women ask after her betrothal status, stating that their dashing grandson was looking for a beautiful young woman such as herself to have on their arm. These suggestions had started shortly after her thirteenth birthday, the first instance had caught her so off guard she had laughed in the ministry woman’s face so hard that her dad had to apologise so profusely when the woman started shouting about her indecent behaviour. However, Harry had later learnt the nature of the conversation and had congratulated Lily on not pulling her wand instantly. The requests had continued despite her father’s general aura of disapproval whenever an older woman approached her, however Lily’s ability to tolerate these encounters had surprisingly increased. Well, Lily mused, not completely unsurprising since Rose had informed her of her method of dealing with these types of awkward encounters. Seeing another elderly woman making a direct line for her, Lily turned her back and tipped a healthy portion of her “method of dealing” also known as Firewhisky into her glass of pumpkin juice for the fourth time that evening.
Lily looked around her, and short of darting directly out the doors behind her, she had minimal escape routes, she also didn’t trust her tipsy legs in the heels she was currently wearing to hold her up reliably as she ran. So she forced a smile as the woman approached her with a look of determination. Before the woman reached her, however, Lily felt two strong sets of arms loop around each of her arms and drag her back through the Great Hall doors. In a moment of panic, she started kicking out and before she could scream a hand grabbed her around the mouth. She was dragged out the entrance doors and into the chilling summer air, coming face to face with her two grinning brothers. Damn. Focusing on the approaching woman had left her vulnerable to her brother’s antics.
James Sirius Potter stood, head to two in a set of deep midnight blue dress robes to match their father’s, grinning like an idiot for having panicked his little sister to point of losing her composure. Lily glared causing him to only grin wider. Her glare darted to her left, eyeing her other brother with betrayal. Albus had not been involved in the prank war that was raging in their household, but tonight he had clearly picked a side. The traitor looked dashing in his deep maroon muggle suit. He still had his arms locked around hers forcing her to look into James’ eyes.
Lily rolled her eyes. “Has this not gone a bit far Jamie? If dad saw me getting dragged from the hall, we know for a fact he’d go into full Auror mode before you could blink.”
“You’re only saying that because you’re about to lose this war, oh little Lilykins! Besides, I made sure dad was thoroughly distracted before I grabbed you, I’m not stupid!”
Lily snorted, “Oh yes, James not stupid, how silly of me! Come on Al, you know you’ve picked the wrong side in this, let me go and we can get a thoroughly good prank on good old Jamie here.”
“Oi! Find your own ally! Now, onto the master plan!” James produced a small vial from his pocket and shook it in Lily’s face. “Do you know what this is my darling sister? This right here is an de-ageing potion, you thought you were so funny trapping my naked on the roof last week, well, let’s see how funny it is when little toddler Lily Luna goes running into that ball crying for her mummy and daddy!”
James was cackling, and lily had to admit that it was pretty funny if the person being pranked didn’t happen to be her. She was going to have to think of something amazingly embarrassing after this, he would rue the day!
“So open up Lilykins!” Lily rolled her eyes and accepted her fate, knowing they would not release her without taking the potion. With a sigh opened her mouth and allowed her brother to pour the contents into her mouth.
No sooner did the liquid touch her, did she experience the most painful burning of her life, coughing and spluttering.
“Shit James what was in there? Grab her some water!” Al let go of her arms and spun to face her, standing next to James.
“There’s some pumpkin juice in a flask in her pocket there. Open up Lil!”
Lily thankfully accepted the juice, to only realise it was her secret stash of Firewhisky. The combination of the burning potion still in her mouth alongside the burning of the Firewhisky, Lily spit the contents of her mouth, completely covering herself and both her brothers. She would have laughed if she wasn’t convinced her whole body was being set on fire.
The last coherent thought running through her mind, was how strange her brothers looked coated in a bright blue light.
