Concert in Celebration of Russian Language Day 2021.
On Sunday, 6 June 2021, the UN Chamber Music Society of the United Nations Staff Recreation Council (UNCMS) will present a virtual concert in celebration of UN Russian Language Day, which will celebrate the linguistic and cultural diversity of humanity, particularly through Russian language and music.
Russian Language Day is commemorated annually on June 6th, on the birthday of the great Russian poet A.S. Pushkin, within the framework of the program to support and develop multilingualism.
The concert will open with remarks by H.E. Mr. Vassily A. Nebenzia, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Russia to the United Nations, and will feature performances by special guest artists of the Moscow Art Theatre: Vassiy, Anjelika & Anastasia Nemirovich-Danchenko.
Language Days at the United Nations were introduced to celebrate multilingualism and cultural diversity and promote the equal use of the six official languages across the Organization. These days are also an opportunity to sensitize the United Nations community to the history, culture and use of each of these languages. Founded in 2016, the UNCMS is dedicated to promoting the UN goals at large - through the universal language of music.

UN CHAMBER MUSIC SOCIETY VIRTUAL CONCERT IN CELEBRATION OF FRENCH LANGUAGE DAY 2023 AT THE UNITED NATIONS.
On Monday, 20 March 2023, the UN Chamber Music Society of the United Nations Staff Recreation Council will present a virtual concert in partnership with the Permanent Mission of France to the United Nations and the International Organisation of La Francophonie (OIF). The concert will take place on French Language Day, and will also honor the month of Francophonie – by celebrating the linguistic and cultural diversity of humanity, particularly through French language and music.
Language Days at the United Nations were introduced to celebrate multilingualism and cultural diversity and promote the equal use of the six official languages across the Organization. These days are also an opportunity to sensitize the United Nations community to the history, culture and use of each of these languages. Founded in 2016, the UNCMS is dedicated to promoting the UN goals at large - through the universal language of music.

Celebratio of the Arabic's historic role in the development of art and science.
On Saturday, 18 December 2021, the Chamber Music Society (UNCMS) have presented a virtual concert in celebration of World Arabic Language Day.
One of the most widely spoken languages in the world, Arabic is a pillar of the cultural diversity of humanity.�� In celebration of World Arabic Language Day, and Arabic's historic role in the development of art and science, the programme will feature a variety of popular and classical music from the Arab region.
The opening will present 'I Lift My Eyes' composed by Christopher Tin, 2x Grammy Award Winning Composer – sung by Lebanese singer-songwriter Abeer Nehme. Throughout the concert, "Magic Carpets" artwork by Saks Afridi will be presented.
Opening remarks will be delivered by H.E. Mr. Mohammed Hussein Bahr Aluloom, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Iraq to the United Nations, and Chair of the Arab Group for the month of December 2021. Tribute Concert to the Homeless on the International Day of Charity.
On the UN International Day of Charity, the UN Chamber Music Society of the United Nations Staff Recreation Council (UNCMS) will perform a tribute concert to the homeless – in the spirit and call of strengthened global solidarity, focused on the needs of the poorest and most vulnerable. The United Nations recognizes that eradicating poverty in all its forms and dimensions, including extreme poverty, is the greatest global challenge and an indispensable requirement for sustainable development. Opening remarks will be delivered by Olivier Adam, the Executive Coordinator of UN Volunteers. The performance will be delivered in collaboration with Professors Carol Rodland and Professor Natasha Brofsky from the Juilliard School, together with the members of the UN Chamber Music Society, dedicated to promoting the United Nations' goals and values at large - through the universal language of music.
