Random rants on eve of 2018

There have been times that I feel like I wanted to write something, so I wrote them in my mind but of course I forgot them anyway. I always wanted to write on how blessed I feel just right before sleep, kissing ZA on my left side after he fall asleep so fast because a minute before that he was just talking to me, and Raissa, on my right side, Allah greatest gift to me.

Right now I am my table in the office, after five days Christmas holiday and it’s funny how comfortable I feel here, getting back to what I would do every day; scrolling emails, making checklist on what should I do today, releasing all lot holds, and preparing 4D presentation tomorrow for a scrap lot which I don’t have the root cause yet. I still remember I used to felt so numb, so unproductive and hated working here. But now, I feel blessed. I don’t know what changes my mind, but yeah, I am glad I live in this corporate world 8 am to 5 pm every weekdays and getting paycheck at the end of the month. I read once that baby loves routine, they like predicted world and every day they learn new things and excitement, and routine provide relief from the chaos. So yeah, after all the excitement of getting back to hometown, I am glad that I am back to sleeping in the car besides my husband on our way to work, slurping through a can of Wonda Café in the morning while scrolling through hundreds mails I don’t even read and planning my day at work today (except that I am stuck here writing this today).

Our life has been a crazy ride this year. ZA has been busier than ever with his two jobs, us shuttle around to my parent’s house each day to send Raissa, crazy expenses that comes each day, chores at home that always last minute prep, me not getting me-time so much anymore (I really wanted to watch Star Wars).  I rarely cook for ZA anymore, but I still cook every day for Raissa, ZA has taken the responsibility of the cats and our laundry (except Raissa’s, because they are too small he said), and I deal with the rest. I rarely mopped our floor, clean the kitchen and I really need to clear our small backyard. Urgh they were really stressing me out. But in all, we still get to go to China for business trip (or you can call it honeymoon), all expenses sponsored, and Langkawi Island too, this time with Raissa and also most of our expenses were sponsored. Mak and Abah insyaAllah will be going to Umrah early next year, sponsored too (I thank to Allah each day for this). And because of that, we are going to send Raissa to playschool starting next year.

I have made a few lists in my mind of what I am going to achieve in 2018, and I hope this time I will checked most of it. This year on 2017, my only wish is to be a great mother to Raissa, a good wife to my husband, and taking care of my parents as much as I can. To know whether I triumph, we need to ask them.
