Adding to the colour discourse!

One of my favorites cultures/species in Star Wars in the Umbarans, and not just for their tech (even though it ROCKS)!

In Legends they have a lot of cool lore, but something fascinating that exists in both Legends and Canon is that they can see into the ultraviolet spectrum! On the surface, we see all of their technology and clothing as white, but ACTUALLY it’s all a crazy mishmash of colors that don’t have names in most languages! They wear these things called shadowcloaks, which look like feathered white cloaks to us, but to them look like indescribable rainbow spectrums of colour and light!

OOOOOHHH that’s really cool! i LOVE how in-depth the world building gets in this franchise (also DAMN i want a shadowcloak now)

umbaran teal??? iirc all their tech has like glowing teal parts that i keep Staring At when i rewatch that arc

i remember seeing something like that about the kaminoans also seeing UV?? so their facilities look plain white but kaminoans see color
