What do beer and orcas have in common? The Pacific Salmon Foundation.  Salmon are a food source for our resident orcas.  From now into early summer Vancouver Island Brewing is partnering with the Pacific Salmon Foundation to offer a special beer pack, the “Pod Pack”, where a portion of the funds will go to support the Foundation, which will then support our orcas.  Here is their press…

My marketing and branding company were excited to get the nod from Ucluelet Brewing Co. BC newest craft brewery (slated to open early 2020). When not getting inspired around the world (most recently Bali, Abu Dhabi and Nicaragua) COFFEE is based out of the Brand Barn at Habitat in Ucluelet.

The Brand Barn is the onsite office and COFFEE’s West Coast base, Habitat.

Have you ever seen a pod of Orcas?  How about a pod of Orcas in a 4 pack?  From now into early summer Vancouver Island Brewing is partnering with the Pacific Salmon Foundation to offer a special beer pack, the “Pod Pack”, where a portion of the funds will go to support the Foundation, which will then support our orcas.  I received a Pod Pack to review for you and to hopefully get you to purchase and support our native Orca population. Each Pod Pack supports the Pacific Salmon Foundation, which funds community groups that actively restore #salmon streams across B.C. and operate small conservation hatcheries. Funds will also support critical marine research and data management to better understand the decline of salmon populations in the Salish Sea. The Pod Pack is a collaboration between local island breweries with the objective of preserving Vancouver Island’s coastal wildlife. Four island breweries – Whistle Buoy Brewing, Ace Brewing Company, Mayne Island Brewing Co. and Ucluelet Brewing Co. One dollar from every Pod Pack will be donated to preserve wild B.C. salmon stocks.  The 4 beers that come in the Pod Pack are: Ucluelet Brewing Co.Helles #Bock Mayne Island Brewing Co.
