Fearless Buddy got me thinking, how would MTMTE Megatron (and maybe Drift as well?) react to a Buddy who has been doing Martial Arts their whole life? Like, maybe they come across Buddy practicing some forms or they fight off an alien kidnapping attempt? Thanks and have a wonderful week!

Fearless has a particular set of skills and they are not afraid to use them.

Fearless forgot to mention it.

But to be fair, they thought the bots already knew that they knew how to fight.

Years of martial arts certainly helped them get into this space program in the first place.

Granted, they couldn’t use their skills with the size they were or practice with any of the bots.

But then came that one fateful day some humanoid organic alien decided to board the ship and fight them.

Conveniently, Buddy was getting pent up from the amount of paperwork they were doing and needed a punching bag.

Oh, they were going to enjoy this.

Drift

Drift had received an alert about an unknown organic signature near Buddy’s location.

He quickly grabbed his swords and raced down the halls.

There was no telling what could have happened between the time he found the message and him getting there.

Drift turning the corner with his swords out.

“Buddy! Buddy where—”-- Drift

Drift seeing Buddy beating the ever-loving pits out of the slightly taller alien.

“Who’s the master here?!”--Buddy

The alien makes a painful gurgle.

Buddy starts kicking them harder.

“Wrong answer!”--Buddy

“… I can not begin to tell you what’s wrong with that statement.”--Drift

Buddy turning to see Drift.

“Hey Drift! Hold on a second.”--Buddy

Buddy slams their fist into the alien’s head knocking them out.

“Hey, what can I do for you?”--Buddy

Drift points at the alien.

“I was here for that and to save you. But clearly you have that figured out.”--Drift

Buddy puffs their chest a bit.

��Years of Martial Arts can do that Drift.”--Buddy

“… Do you mind teaching me some of those?”--Drift

“Sure! As soon as we put Grumpy here in custody and some proper hand wrappings, we’ll do it!”--Buddy

Somewhere on the Lost Light…

Ratchet looking up from his workstation.

“Ratchet?”—First Aid

“Something just happened, and I don’t like it. It feels like a headache coming my way.”--Ratchet

The pair make room in their schedules to practice some of the basics and to go over movements that are bot friendly.

Not all bots are flexible after all.

Drift has now incorporated some of these moves into his fighting style and it has indeed given Ratchet a headache from the accidental launching of rocks and equipment.

Megatron

Megatron is out the door once the readings of 5 larger organic lifeforms are right outside Fearless habsuite.

He is praying that he hasn’t gotten there too late, even comms in a small group of bots to come to Buddy’s location.

There was no telling what they were dealing with right now.

He turns the corner to see one of the aliens get thrown into the wall.

All their glory was Buddy fighting off the last alien with a peculiar looking fighting style.

He would have intervened if they hadn’t kicked them in the face and knocked them out.

Buddy pants a bit as the last alien falls down.

“That’s what you get you sorry son of—Megatron?”--Buddy

Megatron snaps out of it and rushes to Buddy’s side.

“Buddy, are you okay? What did—”--Megatron

“Woah, woah, Megs I’m fine. Nothing a little bit of fighting couldn’t handle.”--Buddy

“They were nearly double your height and you were outnumbered.”--Megatron

“But I won! Urgh…”--Buddy

Buddy sways a bit.

Megatron scoops them up in his servos.

“We are heading to the med bay now.”--Megatron

“The aliens…”--Buddy

“I have a group coming here to collect the fugitives. Med bay. Now.”--Megatron

It turned out that the adrenaline had just worn off and they were tired.

Megatron doesn’t want to leave Buddy’s sight.

They ask if they could stay with him for a bit.

Megatron is later seen in his co-captain chair with Buddy fast asleep on his lap with him absent mindedly petting them.

THTH2 Episodes 1-3 Thoughts!

Eeeek it's THTH2 (Too Hot to Handle the game) time!! Last season fizzled out halfway through but based on the first few episodes of season 2, I've got hopes that this one will be better!

First of all, it's 15 episodes as opposed to 10 - there's room for development (and more bombshells/dumpings!)

There's more customization! I feel like it's improved, although others have said they had a harder time with it. I'm not a huge fan of the hairstyles and outfits we've been given so far, but we'll get more

In the initial episodes, there are 5 friends and only 4 LIs - that might be a little disappointing at first (especially since the friends are all hot - URGH I want Santiago!!), but this actually fixes some of the problems with the first season

More non-romanceable characters is a good thing because it means there will be more storylines besides MC/LI and Jada/Justin/Carter

A lot of us started to hate Jada after a while because she kept popping up and we were forced to be friends with her. Having more friends is a good thing because we'll be able to talk to more people instead of just one person. I'm hoping there will be some branching involved where some scenes are dependent on who your highest relationship is with, but we'll see!

Less LIs is fine for the reasons above - sure there's less choice up front, but with next to no branching in S1, every route was the same, and there were only 3 couples at the end. It didn't make sense. Plus...

We're already getting at least one bombshell next week! It's highly likely they'll be LI(s), and no doubt there will be more people incoming

In Season 1, all the LIs had hard-ons for MC even when MC didn't show them any interest - so far that doesn't seem to be the case, and I love that. It was weird that 9 people were obsessed with us, honestly. This time, our choices matter more

They're already setting up a love triangle! It makes so much more sense to have a LT early on when everyone's new rather than force it with a bombshell we don't even like midway through the season

The characters so far seem to have more personality traits than just whatever their jobs/interests are. Hopefully I'm not speaking too soon, and there is definitely still some of that, but I feel like I've already had deeper chats with them. And they ask about us too, and we can define a bit more of a personality for ourselves

I picked Antoine so far (love a Canadian hockey player!!). He's basically an upgraded (yes, I said it) version of Theo (the art style is slightly improved - the smiles aren't as creepy this time!). I wasn't a Theo girlie but so far I'm vibing with Antoine

I was a Liam girlie, but Liam 2.0 (Wesley) doesn't have quite the same appeal. He's still hot, but Idk, he's not my Liam

There's a fun Antoine glitch (not sure if any of the other characters have it) where he's fully naked. It's pretty funny

I've already broken a bunch of rules, mwahaha!

The list of achievements this season is interesting 👀 There's an achievement for getting eliminated, which I will definitely be trying to do. And stuff about the others trusting us (probably a way to earn back money)

They still have the "beach hut" confessionals, but I feel like those episodes are shorter, which is great because they could be a drag on replays before, or when you just want to get to the next episode

Santiago is my boy, I'm loving the representation with him. I'm curious if we'll ever get a chance to get our hands on him even without romance, because we do have a flirty vibe and I would absolutely jump at that chance!

Overall, I'm excited to see how this goes! It does seem like they've taken our feedback so far, the initial episodes felt a lot like last season but that's not at all a bad thing - last season started off great, and this one has too. I do think this season has better potential overall and my fingers are crossed that it delivers

Every time Mickey has to say the end of his sentence directly into Ian’s mouth because Ian can’t wait the extra 3 seconds to let him finish, he needs his lips on that boy’s mouth NOW! They’re so precious and horny and I love that for them!

My go-to when I draw anything is a square 3000x3000 pixels with 300 dpi

But when I make comic pages I change it to be, well, comic-pages-sized, so it's 2101x3000 pixels (also with 300 dpi)

also bonus touken headcanon: they’re in their married era, but still new relationship, and while they’ve more comfortable — kaneki still seems hesitant sometimes when he reaches to her, in initiating any sort of skin ship, like he’s unsure of howwhen. Touka finds it endearing and kind of laughable considering they just had a blow ur mind sex like an hour ago, but here kaneki is looking so unsure of how to put his arms around her shoulders. This man is ridiculous. God she loves him.

But sometimes — he catches her completely off guard. They’re were doing smth… idk, making coffee??? And Kaneki makes this voice pitched with alarm and touka bends over to see him fumbling with this amateur thing she KNOWS he can do with his eyes closed and is like wow… Kaneki??? Did you get off the bed on the wrong side???? What is wrong with you. But it turns out it was all a plot for her to give him a cheek kiss without her knowing.

Touka blinks, as she just registers where her lips where and looks up at kaneki who has this big silly smile that says “gotcha” and gives her butterfly in stomach…

Three things I like about my art

Hmmmm lately I've been feeling more happy with my coloring! I feel like finally I've kind of understood what I'm doing and feel more experienced with it. I also like how my sketches look, sketching is always my favorite part and making some cleaned sketches with pencil again has been really nice uwu. And I like how I draw faces! Lately they have been more simplistic but generally, I do like them.

Your favorite art piece?

UHHH, actually a piece for a zine so I cant post it here yet but my current favorite touken piece of mine are these two (because im indecisive)

The left one because for once I properly colored them (usually I get lazy with my touken pieces since theyre very indulgent wjvdjwhd) and the other because I adore the style there a lot, especially how kaneki looks🥺 definitely want to try using it more!

FIRST OF ALL, mischievous kaneki is ADORABLE and we need more of him. Here and there he can be a little tricksy, especially when he wants to get back to touka because she so often does little pranks and messes with him hehe

Kaneki not knowing how to approach casual intimacy while they fuck everyday is so funny and canon 😭💕 touka is just as ridiculous, kaneki calls her cute and she gets a massive blush as if they havent been dating for MONTHS.

Also, I didnt fully understand the last part. So kaneki tricked her into giving him a cheek kiss or did kaneki give her a cheek kiss 👀 either way, its adorable because kaneki making silly little pranks that are basically just kisses and snuggles orz. Kill me with the fluff, HELP. Touka feeling a little Bad because his pranks are so innocent and loving while he suffers a little when she pranks him JWVJDDVJD

hiii! i hope this is okay to ask but I’m a huge fan of your art style and saw you also do your work in procreate & i was wondering what brushes you use to make your paintings? i’m perpetually stuck making lineart because baskerville is the only brush I feel comfortable with lol and I would really like to expand into painting. 100% understand if you’re not comfortable sharing your technique btw but if you’re okay with it I would love to get your advice! hope you have a wonderful day <333

Hello!

For paintings, I usually use a private pack made by a friend (I can’t share it but they have Chinese paintings brush stroke effects!), and just the default ones from paint (eg stucco and round brush). I found it more important to add layers for finish touches, multiplying noise/paper effect layers helps a lot I’m not even joking😩❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥 MY FAV

Also a very personal experience (not even an advice but um coz I get asked what brushes I use and I don’t want everyone wasting time like I did🥲):

To be honest, I find it easier to start practising with traditional painting first, then find or build/mod a similar paint that mimicks your drawings style on canvas, rather than accommodating a brush coz I once tried to get paint brushes that some artists use, I still couldn’t do what they did and spent too much time on trying… and now I’m lacking on perspectives… forever stuck in just drawing a few angles (but maybe that’s just me urgh coz I wanted a very realistic art style but my fundamental skills are not enough for that)

And side note:

Lately I’m starting to practise line art and I find the brushes from True Grit Texture Supply useful af!!! LOVE THEM!!!

12 Years Ago

When you pull up outside her halls of residence, she has her tongue down some man’s throat—typical Gen. 

She finally acknowledges your presence when you lower the window and cough pointedly. A few days ago, when she said her latest boyfriend needed a lift from St Andrews to London, you didn't offer; she volunteered him to join you before you could conjure a believable excuse. Someone to talk to on the long journey wouldn't be such a bad thing; you tried to convince yourself reluctantly. You were slightly worried about who he might be. Gen’s taste in men could be best described as random. Or questionable if you were feeling less charitable. But as he turns towards you, something in your chest flutters. 

Oh. 

He looks different to her usual choices. He appears rich, just from a glance. But the sort of rich that dresses in ratty clothes as a style choice rather than out of economic necessity. His jeans are distressed around the knees, and there’s an almost threadbare patch right around his rather shapely - don't look there, you admonish yourself - arse. He wears a faded grey t-shirt and converse that are speckled with paint.

“Y/n, meet Ben,” he nods briefly before she pulls him back for another completely inappropriate kiss.

Ben...? Really, Gen? Matching names is a bit too fucking twee.

As they break away, he tosses his bags in the boot of your car and, after another round of tonsil tennis, climbs into your passenger seat. He smiles crookedly, and you see his blueish eyes catch a ray of late Spring sun; his voice instantly makes you shift in your seat as you exchange hellos. Definitely a posh boy. Definitely a playboy. Definitely not the type to keep his bed empty for long. You already dislike him. You especially dislike how attractive your body seems to find him, despite yourself.

This is going to be a long journey.

“You want to drive the first shift?” you ask politely.

“You are already there,” he shrugs, “go right ahead.”

As Gen becomes a waving figure in your rearview mirror, something tells you you will likely never see her again. It's that time when life goes in a million different directions—the end of university. You've been here for your undergraduate course. Apparently, he has been here for his master's in Fine Art. 

“What takes you to London?” he asks as you pull out of the university grounds.

“I'm going to be a journalist,” you state proudly.

He laughs. “You and the rest of the world.” 

You bristle at his amusement. You are a talented writer; you know it will happen for you someday. You have a summer internship at the Guardian. Okay, it's unpaid, but it's a start.

“You?” you shoot back, squinting in the sun.

“Artist. I’m setting up a studio in Hoxton.”

Urgh. That's so achingly trendy you actually want to smack him.

Your phone buzzes, and you check it discreetly at the next traffic light. It's from Gen.

I know exactly what you are thinking. Posh boy twat. His cock is amazing though. Safe travels x

You squeak and drop your phone into the footwell. Ben cuts you a curious sideways glance. 

“I can grab it,” he offers rather chivalrously as he sees you groping blindly around your feet as the light turns green.

“No!” you startle, “it's fine, just uhh leave it there, I don't need it. I know the way to Edinburgh from here.” your voice takes on a high-pitched quality that sounds ridiculous even to your own ears.

He seems to stare at your profile for an inordinate amount of time.

“Gen said you were a little high-strung,” he says drolly.

You frown over at him. “I'm just particular,” you argue back.

He laughs and looks out the window. “Mind if I smoke?”

“Yes, I do,” you prickle, “that’s a disgusting habit, and you should give it up.”

“She said you were opinionated too,” he adds, his tone so casual and laid back it just makes you more wound up.

“My car, my rules,” you retort, glancing irritated in your rearview at the lorry getting far too familiar with your rear bumper.

“That's fair enough.” 

He suddenly lunges for something in the backseat, twisting, so his t-shirt rides up, his whole body thrust towards you. You see a flash of toned abdominal muscle and a tantalising line of hair disappearing into his jeans.

You quickly cut your eyes back to the road and have to slam on the brake not to hit the car in front, praying momentarily that the lorry behind is paying more attention than you are. Damn him. 

“Fucking hell!” he exclaims, falling back into his seat and grabbing the dashboard to right himself.

“Sorry,” you mumble, knowing you are blushing. “Can you please not do that when I'm driving?”

“Do what?” he feigns ignorance, but you can tell he knows exactly what just happened, the cocky bastard.

“Climb into the backseat,” you grumble.

“I leaned back to grab something; I didn't climb anywhere,” he disputes, shaking a packet at you. “This is for your benefit, I might add,” he says pointedly, ripping open the box and fishing out a nicotine patch.

“Well, just sit still, please,” you huff, spying a flash of very shapely bicep out of the corner of your eye as he rolls up the sleeve and slaps on the patch.

“Yeah, not highly strung at all,” he mutters under his breath.

Yep. You absolutely want to kick him.

FOP: A New Wish ep1-4

alright, lets do this

long time watchers will know that i live for FOP lore, i die for FOP lore, and even in it's worst examples i try to find something of value...and then run away screaming like a lunatic to make it my own and a million times better lol

so New Wish. this is the...3rd sequel attempt (after the Live Action movies, and Fairly Odder) and could be considered the 5th continuation (if you count Sparky season and Chloe season as separate continuation attempts)

as a quick reminder, like s3-5 were my jam, Superverse is my baby forever, i hated 99% of the Sparky season, love Chloe but the season was heavily flawed, the LA movies suck (Christmas is the best only because it's a holiday special), and Fairly Odder was a huge hot mess that was very questionable

so again, lets do this

Episode 1: Fly Part 1 and 2

uhg ok first just going by the title, we are doing the stupid and counting half episodes (15 min segments) as separate full episodes again huh? i hate this, it makes keeping track of the chronology harder, and makes it so the TV Guide won't always register new episodes because they'll split a previously aired with an unaired but he guide says 'has already aired" so you miss the other new half. OR you get duplicate recordings of the same episode half because they keep pairing it with a new one and your DVR fills up and just urgh. it's terrible, 30 min blocks should be the norm again. please fix all animation peoples.

anywhos, onto the episode proper

i had seen the opening theme before this, and yes i approve of the completely revamped/brand new opening song. it's got the right vibe, but is it's own thing. they tried it with Chloe...but that just felt like a copy/paste clip show element. this is it's own thing, it evokes the original but is still itself unique.

and i guess i could do it now; the art style. i'm...eh? it's hard to explain. there's times when i'm getting an eerie uncanny valley effect where my brain says that they're like flat puppets (you know the kind you made in grade school out of construction paper and brass tabs so the joints would work) and that's not right. this isn't stop motion, but sometimes it looks it and i can't process that. it's...eh? maybe i'll be more used to it by the end of the 4th episode, and if not i'm sure over time i'll be used to it. it's not bad by any means, LEAGUES above the CGI in Fairly Odder. but it's...uncanny.

the title card being 2d while the episode isn't though is slightly jarring. HOWEVER i do appreciate having a 2d model for Hazel that is easy to see and not a blink and you'll miss is thing like in Fairly Odder (she also looks far better duh lol). it's just slightly odd to do it this way, idk maybe that's just me. it's fine.

not immediately recognizing any of the staff credits aside from the obvious...that could be good or bad...

the style is looking more stop motion clay now...weird...

but i cannot get over how many Chloe elements Hazel has to her. you've got the tooth gap, the voice is similar, the enthusiasm over learning things, collecting things. as i said above, i actually LOVE Chloe, it's just the writers didn't really use her to her full potential. it feels like Hazel is a doo-over to do it right. idk if that's a good or bad thing, because i want Hazel to stand on her own, but i also want Chloe to not just get swept up and hidden away in shame like Sparky; he deserves it, she doesn't. but back to the episode...

it is also a nice changeup that Hazel is in a more urban setting; it's still more west than east sure, but Dimmsdale was suburbia, so this is a new setting with different problems to tackle. and her being a younger child is also a new and exciting development. there is so much potential here, it is exciting!

are they going to explain why Cosmo and Wanda are pretending to be humans again? i know descriptions mentioned retirement...but why would the retain their magic...or unlimited magic at least.

is Hazel's dad the new Crocker?

Dev Dimmadome is the bully id ok...wait your dad is Dale Dimmadome?? HOLY COW! we have a spot on the timeline here folks!!! Dale was 16-18 when freed from Vicky's basement, and Dev here is a 10 year old, so this is at minimum 10 years in the future from the main series, if not more (because teen marriage/pregnancy bad, probably safe to assume Dale didn't have a kid that early). but how cool! and it makes sense that dale would move out of Dimmsdale given his history, and that his dad would give him control of stuff. ok Dev, i like you, you can be the new Remy with some Trixie and Tad and Chad blended in there.

ok that was a nice and easy and fast introduction of our supporting cast with a brief character trope to each. i like it.

zomr the screencaps of Cosmo's times in space, pfftt. great continuity nod and visual gag. Totally/Spaced Out caps are obvious, the white asteroid one i don't recognize off the top of my head, but...that's an Oh Yeah! Darth Cosmo...idt they were in space for that one? how weird that they pulled s0 for this and Odder

i love it. Hazel's problems are realistic and plausible, and she's trying to deal with them in a way that makes sense. things suck, so yeah she'd need fairies. again, the element that a lot of later FOP lacked was the fact that these were mundane problems that just needed a little help to get through....and using magic usually made them worse and at the end of the day it was the lack of magic that made it better actually. i think that might be a reason why App Trap wasn't *as terrible* as the rest of the Sparky episodes, because it kinda did that...then again it had Missy and i think i focused on that way more. but conversely, that's why a lot of Chloe's episodes didn't work as well as they could've, because the situations weren't believable to start with. yes we got magic, we gonna be crazy and zany and fun and magical, but...this is also a storyline about kids learning to grow up and deal with things at their own pace. Timmy wasn't allowed to grow up after a certain point, the writers regressed him and kept him in a permanent absurd level, and that's why the series started to fail.

and i need to get back to the episode in progress, because i've already spent 40 min to get 12 min into the FIRST episode of 4 ^^; (maybe doing everything at once was a bad idea after all ^^;;;;;; )

ADULT TIMMY! ok, ok, slow it down! gah i can't spend hours untangling the timelines right now to figure this one out. because that's adult Timmy from The Big Problem (why do we keep referencing this episode suddenly?? i swear Odder did it too), as in he was aged up from 10 to this form instantly. compared that to the OTHER adult versions we've had (Channel Chaser 1, Channel Chasers 2, Channel Chasers college aged, LA, and Odder (we're not counting the grandpa 10 year old from the stupid "i paused time for 20 years" trial episode) ) who appeared to age naturally. this Timmy was guesstimated to be middle-aged, which is 45-65. SO if we go for 45, that's 35 years from the original series, making Dale Dimmadome like 50s...he did not look in his 50s. now i KNOW nothing says that that IS Timmy (though his vest did have T on it...but he is an actor...)

also "Chin-finity War". yes, that's mine now. idk how or when i'll use it, but i'm taking it, no takebacks. thank you FOP team, you know how to feed me well, i appreciate it.

they aren't assigned to her yet, why would saying "I wish" revert their disguises? i mean, i guess since they *wanted* to come out of retirement, their own desires could've triggered it, but still...they could hang around people who said "I wish" before and not be compelled to grant them. are they compelled because they're unattached? is that why genies work the way they do? does attaching oneself to a human limit their capabilities? or protect them more like it?? what lore ramifications does this have on the fae social and power structures?? also she's turned into a fly...that sounds like a genie's monkey paw wish granted and not a fairy's. again, is this because they are unattached to her? are they granting wishes "rule-less" so they are unfocused and more chaotic? are genie wishes twisted because they do it on purpose, or because they are unbound and unfocused?

O.o!!! i did not have Cosmo and Wanda body horror on my FOP bingo card...i applaud you writers, that surprised me

ok a carousel of timeline events...not referencing anything in the past canon...but is dating it for this time frame...eh i'll let it slide (because i missed it the first time because of the shock at the body horror)

wait their welcome gift was a Seemingly Harmless Plant? how did i miss that earlier? lol

dawww Hazel learns the lesson of the day from an ant that's going to be dead in 5 minutes. so sweet. see, using magic to fix mundane problems.

oh that's cool, their front door is an interdimensional portal. so they aren't living as humans in the human world. but oh boy, 2d flashback time again...oh no, but wait canonical confirmation that they were with Timmy for 7 years???? (pft 20, yeah that's real time i know, stilly funny). that...makes sense in both the you age out of fairies thing, but also that it was s8 where things started to loose proper focus what with only 5 episodes that you could fold into s7...and that's where the stupid Timmy's Secret Wish thing was. but also...s9 was Sparky, and s10 was Chloe; if we go back to the alternate timelines thing, ten that means it was after s7 (s8 folded in or not) that each continuation branched off from. best example being that Poof didn't speak until s9, but in the LA movies he only started to speak, so obviously those 2 are separate branches. now, this doesn't explain the lack of Poof in Odder or here (so far) i know, OR how there's a few connective episodes between s9 and s10 (very few) but DOES explain the absence of Sparky from Chloe's season since they could be considered different timelines, and why they both were not in the LA or Odder. this is fascinating, and i eagerly await more of New Wish to see if anything from s9 or s10 show up to disprove this theory

ALSO if they were with Timmy for 7 years, and we assume that 1 season = 1 year (not exactly right but roll with it), then since Dale Dimmadome first appeared in s2 (and last appeared s4) and Dev is 10...wait i lost my math train of thought and my tv went to screensaver i'm taking so long on this gah! well it's not the 35 years that adult Timmy woudl suggest. c'mon i gotta finish this episode before i hit the 90 min mark

oh i had a minute left lol. ahhhhh but the production? drawings on the credits with the instrumental of the opening theme, my heart! i love these latest sequel-reboots that know what they're doing.

so to sum it up; this is a yes. this series is looking good so far. i know, still got 3 more episodes to go. but hopefully it won't take me 3 times the length of the episode to get through them too ^^;;;;

Episode 2: The Department of Magical Violations

ok so this description says something about the fairies reupping their magical permits. makes sense, seeing as they've been retired for who knows how long (and we'll just ignore the magical build up implications of that since they do reside in Fairy World still so do regularly use magic) AND the old lore does have them having to redo their certifications like...twice i think in the canon? i know Temporary Fairy was one, but i think there was at least one other instance. so yeah, i'm on board for the premise, let's go

this description says she's lonely and wants to make friends. mk, that's a good lesson of the week, and very relatable. the title card even reminds me of A Wish Too Far...well in vibes, not in matching title card art obviously

and was really a breeze to watch *shrugs* not every story is action packed or dripping in lore. as i said, some of the best stories are t he mundane and in the end are about growing up on your own terms at your own pace.

Episode 4: A Dinosaur in Dimmadelphia

it's the last aired thing my Xfinity On Demand is giving me, since this isn't on Paramount+ yet. weird that they list the previous 2 as a full ep2, yet the wiki has the half episodes (save for the pilot) being individual numbers. so for the sake of me not complaining, and simplicity, i'll just use the wiki as an episode guide from now on

so this was a little less mundane, but you know that's ok too. it is a cartoon, we are silly and out there, not everything is a lesson of the week. (though one would argue that having a dinosaur around would lead to the magic reveal...but eh...)

so after 4 episodes...yeah the style was grown on me, it's less off putting. and yes, the writing here is doing very well. the team seems to know what they're doing, and they're paying attention to the past canon lore BUT they have the advantage of having a new main cast so they can be a bit looser with it. the easter eggs are fun, the energy is high, it's all good. i am looking forward to more of this series (and trying to detangle the timelines XD)

So eh to be honest I tested out a few different apps for my tablet...the thing is I got a samsung so that limits me a bit 💀 So I haven't tested procreate and such...

The app that I use is just IbisPaint X and I gotta say it is completly fine for the sketches that I am doing 😌

The style of it is pretty simple and I got the hang of how to work with it relatively quickly ☺️ BUT I am not big on using any like effects and colour stuff for shading and such which the app can do...I just never really used it 💀

If you want to look into it the app also has a website with loads of tutorial vids on how to use it! Which is pretty nifty when trying to learn new things or remember how to do certain techniques 😌

Other then that...ah yeah when it comes to my own drawing techniques...ABSOLUTE CHAOS. 💀 I don't know what else to call it...I put down a rough undersketch...like just a stick figure or some swishy lines and then I start 🤣

What helps me when doing those silly doodles is just keeping the lines loose and flowy...don't concentrate too much on perfection and sometimes just capture the vibe of the picture...I also gradually build line weight/thickness for details and shading...BUT if I get too tangled up in the details I get frustrated 💀 You can't imagine how many GIANT sketches I deleted cause I straight up HATED them cause they turned stiff...and urgh...💀

ANYWAYS! I am fuckin shitty when it comes to advice but I hope I was able to help out a little bit 😅🤍

I wanted to start this off by saying that I've really enjoyed our mini threads so far, its so nice when muses just sort of fall into a natural chemistry with one another; sett with his teasing, and then Vlad and Robin with their 4D chess game. The way your writing flows with the unspoken idea between the characters is really nice, and its very easy for me to write with you despite our short while interacting! You have a firm grasp on the muses Robin has interacted with, and its really impressive to see how your writing changes between Sett and Vlad.

Not only that but your artwork is truly lovely, you work through art so quickly and have such an amazing way of drawing expressions - its always just a nice thing to see on dash.

Love Leaves Traces - Chapter 9

“Hey Rem, can we tal-”

“Can we do it later? I’m kind of busy right now, Pads.”

Even being dismissive and infuriating, he was attractive. Needless to say, Sirius was not doing very well on the whole talking-to-Remus front. In his defence, his friend was not making it easy. It was somehow worse than before, because he wasn’t even pretending there was anything wrong, just flat out refusing to speak to Sirius about anything other than their friends or class work. 

He was convinced that Remus liked him back however. The way he caught his eye unintentionally or the tips of his ears went red when Sirius ran a hand through his hair. Or spoke French. Or walked into a room. 

So, if he wasn’t going to talk, Sirius was going to make his life utter hell. 

He had perfected the art of eyeliner, styled his hair so it was soft and wavy and smelling of jasmine and vanilla and threw on one of Remus’ sweaters and waltzed into the dorm room wearing literally nothing else. Of course, the sweater was long enough to cover anything unsavoury but the imagination is a beautiful thing, and Remus was known for having a very, very good imagination. 

He bent over to rifle through one of the drawers in his cupboard under the pretence of sock hunting, certain that he had Remus’ undivided attention. Upon turning around, he found that he was correct.

Mouth agape and eyes unfocused, Remus sat perched on his bed, his book sliding precariously close to the edge.

“What book you reading there, Moons?” He said in what he hoped was a seductive tone. 

“Um–” His voice came out hoarse and Sirius could have punched the air. “Uh– ahem, ah it’s Wuthering Heights . Your copy actually. —erm. I didn’t mean to, it’s just that… Is that alri–”

“Oh that's perfectly fine, Remus. Splendid, actually.”

Remus was nodding, staring directly at the ceiling in defiance of the half naked friend in front of him. Sirius had annotated that book meticulously, and as he grew more aware of his feelings, those annotations became heavily centred around Remus. Around loving Remus. He couldn’t ignore him once he’d seen what Sirius had written so plainly.

Splendid, indeed.

“Urgh! Why can’t I get this right?”

Remus tried the spell again. He was supposed to be turning a goblet into a rat, but was only successful in making it grow fur. Peter, thankfully, was absent.

“You’ve got the wand movement wrong. Here–” Sirius reached around Remus, grasping his hand over his wand and rested his head onto his shoulder so he could whisper to him, “Yes. That’s perfect. You’re doing so good, Rem. Just like that.”

The shudder he felt was worth any weird look he revived from James. 

“That’s my boy. So so good” He let his lips brush against the back of his neck.

Remus’ goblet set fire. 

Sirius was in the process of thoroughly cleaning each of his fingers with his tongue, sucking on each diligently, delighting in the way Remus would jump a little in his seat each time Sirius released a finger with a soft pop. It was a blatant display. Some girls from the Gryffindor table were staring unashamedly at him, but he didn’t care. He was only watching Remus whose gaze had gone glassy and lips red from how hard he was biting.

“Merde, Sirius. Les choses que tu me fais…”

Fuck, he was so hot.

“Oh, Remus. Les choses que je pourrais te faire si tu me laissais faire.”

Sirius very much enjoyed flirting with Remus. It was going exactly as he’d hoped. Remus was getting more flustered by the day and Sirius no longer had to hold back on doing all the things he wanted to do around Remus, but even so, he missed him. 

Unless they were flirting, their conversations were still short and forced and Sirius wanted to punch a wall.

Remus. Please will you talk to me? After class?

Sirius levitated the note carefully onto Remus’ desk while Professor McGonnigal was turned. Remus vanished the note after a glance, not bothering to reply.

Remus. Please. I miss you.

Nothing.

Okay fine. I can’t stop thinking about you and that kiss. I know you want to ignore it but I want you and I think you want me too. I don’t really know what it means but can we just work this out together? Whatever I did I’m sorry but please. Just put me out of my misery.

It was brazen, but he was running out of patience. If Remus didn’t know how he felt, then Sirius would make damn sure he was aware that Sirius liked him, in a not so platonic way.

“Passing notes in my class?” McGonnigal snatched the note out of the air before it reached its destination. Sirius’ stomach dropped. Shit shit shit.

“What’s to stop me from reading this out? Hmm?”

“Professor please, it was me. I swear I’ll never do it again. I– I’ll be the best student. I–”

“Mr. Black, please take your seat.” He had apparently stood up unconsciously and sank down slowly, taking in his professor’s pinched expression as her eyes flicked over the note. 

“5 points from Gryffindor” She tucked it away in a drawer at her desk. Sirius felt like he was going to pass out, like there was no blood in his head. For the rest of the class, the voices around him were cloudy and muffled and his hand was clenched painfully around his chair. He hardly noticed when James tugged on his arm. Class was over.

James’ eyes were full of concern. 

“Sirius, what’s happening?” It sounded far away. “Sirius, what was on the note? Are you okay?”

“It’s fine. I’m fine. Promise. I just gotta um sit down” He planted himself on the side of the hallway, grasping at the walls, the floor, something to hold onto.

“What’s happening to him?”

“I don’t know. Was he hexed?”

“I don’t think so.”

“He’s freaking out”

“I think he’s having a panic attack.”

“A what?”

Remus reached out, took Sirius' hand and let him squeeze .

“Sirius, you’re okay, yeah? You’re safe. Just breathe with me. Nice and slow. In. Out. That’s good” 

Remus' gaze was steady and focused, the weight of his hand grounding him. In. Out. In. Out. His eyes were brown with specs of blue and a dark ring around the iris. In. Out. His hair was brown with streaks of gold. Soft looking. Perfect. In. Out. He smelled like peaches.

In. Out. 

He came back to himself, overly aware of the students bustling around him, leaving their final class of the day. 

“Sorry. I don’t know what happened.” He ran a hand through his hair. Having an emotional breakdown in the middle of a hallway was not going to make him look good to Remus. 

“You don’t have to apologise.” Why was he being so nice? “Has that happened before?”

Sirius thought back to the bathroom, his room at home, the hospital wing, his Mother, Crucio. “Once or twice”

“Sirius…” Remus pulled him into a hug, squeezing him tightly. He was mortified when he let out a little sob. Remus was running his hands through his hair and he couldn’t help but relax into the embrace. 

James and Peter were standing to the side a little awkwardly. Peter was glaring at anybody who slowed to get a better look and James was ringing his hands, obviously wanting to talk to Sirius but not wanting to let anyone else know his secret. 

Remus muttered over his shoulder reassurances. 

“You’re okay. You’re safe. We love you” and then, “I love you”

He was okay. He was safe. Remus loved him.

Remus loved him. 

After that, things changed. They still weren’t talking about it – Sirius took McGonnigal’s intervention as a sign to let it rest – but Remus wasn’t being as dismissive of him. Embarrassed over the moment in the hallway, he decided to spend more time in his animagus form, where his emotions were less consuming and he could smell Remus on almost every surface of the dorm. 

It was a Saturday when it happened. 

James was at the library being tutored by Lily and Peter was on a date with Bea, so Sirius and Remus had taken up residence in the common room. 

“What the fuck is this?”

“Hm?” Sirius didn’t look up from his book. It was one of the ones Lily bought him.

“When did you put this in here? Is this some kind of joke?” 

The distress in his voice snapped Sirius alert. Remus had Wuthering Heights open, eyes wide in shock. 

“You’ve been flirting with me all week”, he said, “I’ve been trying to– fuck” He dropped the book open onto the sofa and darted out of the common room. 

It was open to a page Sirius remembered, ‘Rem <3’ written carefully in the margin. It was the same one Remus had seen him write all those weeks ago in the dorm. 

He took off running after him, through the castle and out the front gates. It was raining. Of course it was raining. 

He found Remus in a clearing near the lake. He looked frantic, his hair wet and clinging to his face, his breath coming in pants.

“What are you trying to do here, Sirius?”

This was fucking ridiculous. “What am I trying to do!? I think I’ve made it pretty fucking obvious, Rem!”

It was pelting down now. 

“Sirius, you’re killing me. I like you. You know this. Why are you torturing me?”

“You like me?”

“OF FUCKING COURSE I LIKE YOU, YOU IDIOT”

“THEN WHY DIDN’T YOU DO ANYTHING”

“BECAUSE WE AGREED THAT IT WAS A MISTAKE!”

What?

“I AGREED TO NO SUCH THING, REMUS LUPIN. YOU ARE THE BEST THING THAT’S EVER HAPPENED TO ME! I COULD NEVER REGRET YOU!”

“THEN WHY ARE YOU SHOUTING AT ME?”

“I DON’T KNOW!”

They crashed together. Lips and teeth and tongue. Remus was pulling at his robes, tugging his hair, his hands were everywhere and he still wanted more. The rain was incessant on his skin until he reluctantly pulled away, cursing his body’s need to breathe.

Remus was staring at him, bewildered. His hair an utter mess, wet and spiky. His pupils were blown and his lips red and puffy. Sirius couldn’t believe his eyes. 

“But, in the cupboard, you said. You agreed it was a mistake, to forget it. I didn’t want to lose you. Your friendship. It means so much to me.”

Sirius placed a careful kiss on his lips. He couldn’t help himself.

“The only thing I could think about in that cupboard was how close you were standing to me. Bloody hell, Remus. Do you understand how gone I am for you?” He peppered kisses over his face, his neck. “You’re so perfect, it’s infuriating. Your face and your smile and your— fuck, your freckles and the way you sing , Remus, it’s fucking everything. You’re everything.”

“I’m not everything Sirius. I’m not even a whole person.”

“You’re everything. To me, you’re everything.”

“I don’t deserve you Sirius. You’re too good.”

“Everything”

“Sirius –”

He cut him off with another kiss. 

“Stop being a self deprecating tosser and let me love you”

Remus bit his lip in that way that Sirius loved and smiled and his ears did the thing that Sirius loved. 

“Yeah, okay.”

They kissed until the rain cleared, and then a little while longer until they were frozen to their bones and in desperate need of the warmth of the Gryffindor fire. 

They walked in silence, their hands brushing occasionally, the touch electric. Sirius would never get sick of this. 

“Sirius. I have a question and don’t laugh.”

“I promise I won’t laugh”

“Will you be my boyfriend?”

Sirius could explode. This is the happiest he had ever felt. If he ever needed a patronus, this is the memory he would use. 

“Fuck yes”
