Tbh I'm not so sure, I think I draw inspiration every new piece of media I get obsessed with (since I basically just draw fanart 95% of the time lmao).

But in general I think that the artstyles I might have borrowed from the most are Takeshi Obata's (artist of Death Note) and Kohske's (creator of Gangsta.)

I JUST SPEEDRAN THIS WHOLE COMIC AND I HAVE. SOOO MANY THINGS TO SAY BUT I DON'T KNOW HOW TO PUT THEM INTO WORDSSSS AAAAAAAA

So I'm just gonna start by saying something and we'll see what happens, if there's a cut right now then that means I succeeded in taking it all out of my system so cue to the rambling messs!!!!

(YAY!! I DID IT!!! Real ass long rambling down below.)

SO. OH MY GOD. I LOVED THIS, SO SO MUCH. THE CHARACTERIZATION MAN, THE CHARACTERIZATION!!!! THat's the first thing that comes to mind that I wanna talk about! God, it all felt so amazingly spot on! Like– It felt like I was actually watching the show, y'know?? It really felt like the characters where them. I like to write sometimes, well it's been a (long) while since the last time I actually sat down and wrote something BUT REGARDLESS. I know how hard it can be to stick to a characters personality and what not, how they would feel, their reasoning behind what they do and say, their motives, beliefs. All that. And this– god, it all felt so real. I really don't know how to express it— I think I'm repeating myself a lot but how Marinette kept overthinking everything but switching her train of thoughts and how her feelings drowned her in different ways and and Adrien being clearly sad and conflicted but trying to keep it all together and uplifting the mood and jocking and how they resembled their superhero persona enough that each other could recognize it in the other but without, y'know, actually knowing but but- rrrRRAAAHHH

AND THAT PART IN THE WINE SCENE WHERE MARINETTE AND ALYA WERE COMMUNICATING TELEPATHICALLY IT FELT SOOO MUCH LIKE SOMETHING THEY WOULD DO AND IT WAS SOOO FUNNYYYY that gets me thinking aboUT THE DIALOGUE. THE DIALOGUE WAS SO SO GOOD this connects to my characterization """observations""" to try and make my crazy rambling sound coherent and sophisticated BUT THE DIALOGUE MAN it also felt, like. Real JAHDJAD I know I'm repeating myself a lot but RRRAAAHH it all felt straight out taken out of a script for an actual chapter of MLB it felt so in character and it NEVER MISSED it was always so funny or gut wrenchingly emotional it made me feeeellll man. It made me feel a lot of things, sadness, joy, EXCITEMENT. I WAS SO EXCITED WHEN THE– the destroying all poor Adrien's work scene.. BUT IT WAS SO WELL DONE!!!! The pace, Adrien's switches in attitude AND HIS BREAK DOWN MAN IT WAS A ROLLERCOASTER I FELT SO CONFLICTED I felt so bad for him, for all that was going on BUT HE WAS FINALLY GOING TO KNOW!! FINALLY ALL WOULD CULMINATE IN THE TRUTH GETTING OUT THERE FOR BOTH OF THEM!!!! And how they worked through it, how the first thing that Marinette wanted was to fix it all, to save Adrien's hard work, WHEN HE REPEATED WHAT HE SAID TO HER AND ONLY HE COULD KNOW AND THERE WAS NO MORE DENYING THAT HE WAS CHAT NOIR!! GODDD THAT WAS SO- SO--- RRRAAAHHHHHHHHHHH I am so not normal about this comic man, I was laughing histerically, shaking my boyfriend, rambling about the little details and showing him panels trying to not spoil anything for him because I'm definitely making him read it he loves Ladybug and I know he'll love this comic just as much as I do but I really wanted to show him Adrien's funny and cute faces and there was no time for WAITING on that bcuz THE ARTTTT THE ART DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED WITH THAT THAT'S LIKE, ONE IF NOT

OP I LOVE UR ARTSTYLE!!!! It's so soft, so nice to look at and it conveys emotions spectacularly!!!!! I loved the funny moments where Adrien's expressions where exactly like a cat's, it was so funny and adorable and mmmmdasjshjdhahd my god I just- god. Good god. I loved the purple and blue shading in Marinette's and her mother's hair, it looked so so good. AND AND THE THE LITTLE DETAIL!! OF MARINETTE'S PUPILS!!! LOSING COLOUR, GETTING GREYER!!!!!! GOD I liked that. A lot. It was a real cool detail.

And I really liked ur use of colour to accentuate different stuff like clothing, hair, the Rose accessory and so!! It was real well done and and I like how you kept the colours inside a, uh, monochrome?? Palette??? I think. Like, there wasn't a lot, and what were in there looked so so good and matched perfectly and it was so satisfactory to see and it looked amazing and OP you're amazing I admire u a whole lot I'm SO SO glad I read this bcuz it has made me SOOO happy you have no idea thanks for sharing this. I had such a good time reading this, it was a WIIILD ride and so worth every second of it!! i wish i could forget it all just so i can experience reading it for the first time all over again.

Hehe. I- have some more stuff I could mention. Like the t-shirts Marinette wore, the puns that where so ao fynny and the foreshadowing at the start with the paw one and how little stuff like those were bought back in future updates or or and the background details -- I'm getting carried away again sorry

But yeah. I think I've been going for far too long now.

I enjoyed this a whole lot. Definitely my favorite comic EVER atm. Thank you for sharing it OP, it has been amazing and I can't wait to see how this ends<33!!!

OP Review #7: Heaven’s Design Team

Hiiii, Friday here. 😏 Friday, yeppp. Heaven’s Design Team time ! 😀 A Winter 2021 seasonal, OP “Give It Up ?” by 96neko, Heaven’s Design Team was a cute, partially educational, and fun facts-y show about the animals God commissioned, after being too lazy to complete them themself. 😳

Category 1, Artstyle/Animation: Average/nice. Accurately reflects the level of art in the rest of the show. Lots of animals in the OP, they seem well-drawn enough. Though, there’s an ELEPHANT at the end of the OP that? Might be drawn a little short?? I am not really sure... Just, elephants are pretty tall lol. 1/2 for averageness. 

Category 2, Song: Cute, simple, LOUD. Like, whenever I hear it, I always think, “This is louder than everything else I’ve just been hearing” ??? Yeah ??? I like the little parts with the English, or where they go “yes !”, or the underwater part where it’s softer... ? But I don’t really actively think about the song, or have it stuck in my head 🤔 10/10, get it when it comes up, but hasn’t really, recently (AMQ). 1/2.

Category 3, Relevancy: Animals they design in the show pop up all over the place ! In the books (with who designed them), in the sky, underwater (also with who designed them), near the end, and the veryy end, with Shimoda (angel boy) under the tree. The pegasus also appears throughout the OP, like the old guy worker wants to make, and otherwise the backgrounds are primarily their office(?) location. For being the show it is, it’s pretty relevant. 1.5/2.

Category 4, Originality: If it’s a pretty relevant OP, it’s not really an original one, lolol ! But the animals are nice... Okay ! In terms of tropey things, I guess they spin around and write in the air, but like it’s their magic animal markers !!! Possibly :?? They also have the “everyone shows up and put their arms around each others’ shoulders because group” shot. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Why do they always do that. xd .5/2, idk, not that deep (the rating).

Category 5, Bias: I don’t really feel any special way about this OP, besides that I liked it enough to watch it every ep, weekly or so, 12 times. 🤔 Also, it’s usually a song I get, that others don’t, on looting AMQ n stuff, so thanks ? .5/2
