Spoopy GBM Tonight

Hello anime fans! Tonight we'll be hosting our Halloween Spooktacular meeting, where our two BYOA blocks are dedicated to horror or spooky anime! Bring your best Halloween-themed shows to show to the club! As usual, we'll be meeting from 6-11 pm in SHER 003 and virtually on Discord. In addition, we'll be hosting a game night TOMORROW NIGHT from 6-8 pm in the Student Org Lounge. Join us for an evening of food and fun with your friends, as pizza and other treats will be provided! We hope to see you at either of our events--regardless, if you don't attend either, we hope you have the best Halloween!

The results are in and you the populus have decided what it is we will be watching this semester. Also Marathon Committee starts tonight so come participate in the scheduled viewings of our 24 hours of anime. Thx.

Marathon Tonight and Tomorrow!!!

Hello anime fans! This might be my last Tumblr post ever Tonight’s the night--it’s finally time for our end-of-semester 24 Hours of Anime Marathon! Join us in Engineering 027 as well as virtually on our Discord server starting at 7 pm for officer selected titles, movies, and anime picked by you! We will be showing anime for 24 straight hours, but you don't need to be there the whole time: you can take a study break and pop in for a few hours, or take the challenge to stay overnight and be there the whole time. You can influence what we watch in two ways: one is by voting for titles in our Genre Blocks and by suggesting titles for our various Bring Your Own Anime hours! As usual, we ask that all in-person attendees wear masks unless actively eating or drinking. We also strongly encourage those who believe they have been exposed to COVID to either attend virtually or take a rapid test before attending. You’ll still be able to experience all of the fun from the safety of your home, so please consider which option is best for you. We’d love to have more people in person, but safety of ourselves and club members is the first priority. For in-person attendees, we will have snacks and food available, but feel free to bring more! We recommend that you bring (especially if staying overnight): 1. Anime to share with the club 2. Comfy clothes to wear 3. Some of your favourite snacks 4. Pillows and blankets We hope to see you at the marathon, whether in-person or online, or a combination of the two! Thank you for another great semester of anime!

Meeting Tonight and Election Results!

Hello anime fans! This is just a friendly reminder that we'll be having a regularly scheduled meeting tomorrow night online via Discord and in person in Admin 101 from 6 - 11 pm. In addition, we'll be hosting a game night this Saturday, April 30th, from 6 - 8 pm in the Student Org Lounge! Bring your favorite board games and come hang out with your fellow club members!

Officer Elections Tonight!

Hi anime fans! Tomorrow night, we'll be having a regularly scheduled meeting from 6 - 11 pm in Sherman 003 and online via Discord. As a note, a couple of our scheduled viewings will be changing because the first showings ended last week. At 7 pm, we will be switching our officer pick to Haibane Renmei, and at 10 pm, we'll be switching to the 3rd highest voted for title from our Nomination Night, My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom. However, we  will still have our two hours of BYOA! Most importantly, we'll be having elections for our new officers! Please note: you must be in the room physically in order to vote and have attended at least four meetings over the course of an academic year, with at least one being this semester (excluding this one). This is to ensure the integrity of voting. At around 8 pm during our projector break, candidates will give a brief speech as to why they should earn your vote to run the club and answer any questions you may have for them. We hope to see you at our meeting tomorrow, and we look forward to welcoming in our new officers!

Hello anime fans, We have a lot to announce this time, so stay with us till the end! First, we're having another regularly scheduled meeting tonight from 6-11 pm on Discord and in person in Sherman 003 (note the room this time). As per usual, we'll have two rounds of BYOA for you to show the club your favorites! If you're looking for more in person fun with your fellow club members, we'll be hosting a game night tomorrow: Saturday, April 16th, from 6 to 8 pm in the Commons Student Org Lounge. Please note: masks are still required if you're coming to the game night. Finally, and most excitingly, we'll be having our elections next week!
