Hello hello! Mod Ki'to here, and I am the humble Mooncat behind @humblemooncat (Clever, isn't it? I'll see myself out-)

I'll be helping out with the festivities this year offering my services as an omnigatherer, tank, and my access to things such as skybuilders' and island goodies (For which I have a plethora of currency)!

So, if you need help getting certain things you might not yet have access to, collecting an abundance of resources, or a tank to help level or farm, I'm your man. o7

To introduce myself a bit more for those who've never seen me around before, I run the aforementioned blog as my main hub for all things FFXIV, but generally I just post about my main catboys and assorted ocs!

My mains in-game are my Warriors of Sunlight & Moonlight, U'lohi Tia ("Orange Sherbert" in-game) and Ki'to Vashai.

Though Lohi's home world is Halicarnassus, Dynamis, you can generally find them both on Zalera, Crystal! If I'm not on one, chances are I'm on the other. ;3c

I also run the sideblog @hikinghydaelyn, made for a challenge alt I play from time to time whose main goal is to rp walk the whole MSQ.

Other than the usual MSQ updates for Lohi, and my personal "Mooncat ramblings", I also pride myself on my gposes, my occasional writing (My Playlist drabbles and "A Journey of Remembrance" being my favorites), and my art!

Since I've got Lohi on the brain, let me throw you my orange cat and his boys. <3

Lohi and Thancred tend to enjoy sparring a lot nowadays. Especially since they're both bulking up and becoming tank mains now, they often find it's not only fun, but productive to have a good spar.

The urge goes way back to ARR days though, as Lohi's always been very active and in need of stimulation. xD

Lohi and Urianger tend to more enjoy walks. It gets them both active, and Lohi gets to listen to Uri's little stories and tangents. His favorites nowadays are the ones related to the Loporrits, since his voice gets very sweet and you can hear the fondness he has for their little rabbit friends.

And as for Lohi and Raha, naps. Definitely naps.

Raha tends to be one to lose himself in study or just a good book, so Lohi will often snatch him from his desk or the library and carry him back to bed or a nearby couch. It lets Lohi indulge in his favorite activity, and if he managed to keep hold of the book, Raha can read in comfort (unless he's in need of rest, in which case that book would be wrestled from him)

U'lohi Lore Drop of the Day

AKA, I thought of some cool tie-ins for the new stuff I got him.

After unlocking his first Chakra as a Monk, as well as bathing in Ifrit's flames (The first primal to reach out to him after activating his echo, so his affinity for fire is stronger now in his canon) he's noticed his attacks taking on a lick of fire. Being a child of the Drake, a desert-dwelling Sun Cat, he's embraced the heat and consciously channels it more into his aether as he fights. This will also end up reflected in his MCH and GNB skills later.

I got the boy some cool fire VFX for pretty much all the skills he's ever gonna use, since he's leaned towards being a sun-flavored character.

Figured I'd share the headcanon because I like when my brain can actually make a reason for these things. <3

Lohi is using every fiber of his being to restrain himself from kicking Fourcheese in the fuckin' teeth. ESPECIALLY after hearing they detained Raha.

Does Lohi perchance enjoy comically large ice cubes?

I would not put it past him tbh. Especially when it's hot out.

I do know for a fact that he is an ice chewer though. Give that man a cube and he will crunch it immediately. xD

For U’lohi

Does your OC's body language sometimes give away what they might prefer to conceal? Or are they practiced at ensuring that their physical presentation matches their stated positions?

Lohi is a VERY physical speaker, so his body language is important to clock. Oftentimes, yes, his body language will give away certain things he'd prefer to keep hidden. Thancred's gotten very good at reading him in particular nowadays.

There are times and places where he will make a conscious effort to control it, like in meetings with the Grand Company of Eorzea. But if he feels strongly enough about something, no amount of restraint will be able to hide his thoughts on the matter.

I honestly think that's why he's the most fun for me to pose in MSQ situations. Things like this I could not have squeezed out of pragmatic Ki'to, and Eros generally only speaks with his face.

How does your OC's voice change when they are trying to persuade someone else to let them have their own way? Is this particularly persuasive? Perhaps only to certain people?

It depends on the person! For Lohi, if he's trying to persuade strangers or government officials, it's more of a posture and tone shift.

He's a very lax man, and his voice reflects as such. So when he's attempting persuasion on the Scions' behalf for example, he'll be more confident and deliberate in his speech while straightening himself and looking as "hero-like" as he can.

Now, if he's trying to persuade a loved one, that's a different story.

He'll bat his lashes, get real close, and you'll hear the smile in his voice. He's a very "Pretty please~" kind of guy. Which will either get him what he wants, or...

*Shakes your hand* I too am VERY normal about him. In fact, have a him (I found it while looking for shots for the last ask, and now it's haunting me)

How often does your OC swear? Is it something that punctuates their everday speech? Or is it so unusual to hear them use "bad" language that it would shock those around them?

It's not every other word, but it's also not unusual for him to swear, especially in certain situations.

Does your OC often punctuate their speech with filler sounds, such as "um" or "er"? Or words such as "like" or "you know"?

Oh, ABSOLUTELY. Lohi's mind often runs slower than his mouth, so he uses filler words a LOT to allow things to catch up. xD

What is your OC's favourite or "go-to" swearword when under duress?

Like Amare, his favorite is any variation of "Fuck". It's very versatile!

What is your OC's laugh like? Is it a genteel titter? A hearty belly laugh? Or a snorting noise like a constipated donkey?

Depends on the intensity of the laugh. If it's a comment that caught him off-guard, one might hear a snort of laughter. A joke he found funny might get a slightly raspy chuckle. Something he finds hilarious would elicit a low rumble of a belly laugh as he doubles over. Why low and rumbling, you might ask? Well...

Is your OC particularly loud in combat? Do they yell? Roar? Or are they a silent and deadly presence?

Lohi's always got a constant growl/rumble in his chest as he speaks, and it only gets more pronounced when angry and/or in battle. I've really leaned into the tiger aspect of his design these days, and so fighting him would sound a lot like fighting an actual tiger. If that tiger could speak, of course. Anger brings out the big cat vocal cords and the rolled r's, much like U'odh's way of speaking, and his own father's I would think. Two of the strongest men he'd known.
