i need to pin down icelands motivations lmaooooooo it changed a few times early on and now it doesnt all jive. like. why did i say he wasn't getting a degree. why was that a plot point in chapter 4. i dont get it..........

the pacing is wack and i know i tried over and over to fix it. i need to do a rewrite from memory type thing to get the beats right. theres no beginning middle end structure or whatever not really

got distracted while writing and now im super nostalgic for my favorite fanfic that i Never Wrote. you hve no idea, i put so much time into the oc character profiles and compiling research for accuracy and wrote an entire outline for the story before i was like "wait a minute, this is too complicated for my current writing abilities" and set it down and never went back .........

anyway this is the first time i ever tried drawing anything for it, i became possessed while listening to my TFIE playlist

Take Fortune verse is my ambitious iceland character study project in which he goes to university for 3 years getting an undergrad degree, despite technically having a phd or two.. and he gets in touch with the youth and makes friends his age. a coming of age for a boy that doesnt age and all that. it sounds basic and derivative and it is, i'll gladly name my inspiration sources. but its also really special to me

its hard to condense TFIE without making it sound like a lot of nothing. but the most notable plot development is when a generic Nations Reveal plot kicks off in the background by total coincidence, and iceland's secret identity has been unravelling since before then. he gets some close calls, and some others get sworn to secrecy like his closest oc friends (pictured above). but iceys lies about his fake government internship keep getting more elaborate every chapter to cover his ass. idk. its a lot. theres a lot to it. i reread my whole 30 page outline and cried. iceland is my favorite character ever btw did u know that

OK SO I MADE YOU A LITTLE ARMATURE DIAGRAM BECAUSE ITS EASIER TO DRAW THAN EXPLAIN. but ! this is how i make the bases of my armatures. they're a sturdy wire base, and then i bulk them up with tin foil afterwards. as for paint, i use acrylic house paint. and for a topcoat this is the stuff i use (granted its a satin finish and i use it for protection instead of shine, but it's a pretty safe bet that if they have a glossy version of this product it would also work well on polymer clay):

i personally probably wouldn't use mod-podge just because its water-soluble so it has the potential to melt/wash off. but you do have to be a little careful with what paint/topcoats you use on polymer clay, because depending on the polymers in the clay it can react oddly with the chemicals in the paint and you can end up with a sticky sort of surface that never seems to dry. the above topcoat i have had no trouble with over original or super sculpey and house paint, so i stick with it!

Escaping a snow storm and Covid, here is A look into an event I did last week for @totalentertainmentnyc. Hire them for your party entertainment! They created the coolest kiosk for me to etch a sketch portraits in just minutes, and each etch a sketch is preserved not to erase for guests to keep!!!
