With how I written TWST!Auro, she wouldn't be able to go into these book stories, but I just wanted an excuse to draw Jade's outfit.

Info no one asked for: Floyd refers TWST!Auro as "Penguin" because her undersea form is primarily black and white.

I almost decided on Orca, but I noticed Floyd tends to make nicknames of sea creatures that aren't super huge predators and even if he did they aren't due to the person's ferocity(Grim/Seal, Kalim/Otter. Though he probably does call Auro an Orca at some point when she's grumpy...which is often.

So due to my personal decisions and also her species background: TWST!Auro can’t use her magic to fly. It’s an elemental restriction of my closed species, her being a water element based critter and flying I associate with air which is incompatible on top of anatomy.

But I imagine she can pull a Sisu from Raya, and walk on water, so she can run on the raindrops to imitate flying. Only when it rains though.

That being said, that means broomstick flying doesn’t work at all for her. She’ll just stare at it.

Info no one asked for: TWST!Auro is self-insert, she's not an MC nor does she attend NRC. She's a 30+ year old world-jumping traveler, or centuries old world-jumping traveler who really knows. It's basically like a Kingdom Hearts situation just without the gummi ship. Disney and Square Enix have this collab going for two decades long so I will exploit it as my love letter to it.

Anyway tldr: just so happens she decided to visit TWST and live out in the forest lakes...unfortunately meeting Jade because well Mountain Lovers club and all that. And just like his usual self he's immediately latched on because "woah cool non-mermaid sea monster." It's just Jade in general to be fixated on something new and curious to him. And something something, they bond over hobbies and things. Then the whole: "omg I think I like him/her." It sounds better in my head I promise.

What's interesting about having a self-insert, non-MC character is the canon-verse really doesn't apply to her. TWST!Auro is an adult so she doesn't fall for schemes because she's been there done her mistakes.

That being said, I enjoy imagining her pulling both of the Leech Twin's faces/ears for deciding to go to a sus Amusement park.

Auro: You both decided to not only skip school but follow some shady fox man to a magic theme park?!

Jade: Fufu-- *winces in pain as she pulls his cheek harder*

Floyd: Penguin, you're scolding at us like an old person.

Auro: I am an old person.

The Jack Skellington inspired character for TWST’s new Halloween event is unexpected but not unwelcomed. Nightmare Before Christmas has been a major aesthetic in general that even Kingdom Hearts had Halloween Town as one of the major worlds. Not to mention dominating Hot Topic stores.

But I’m curious how it’s going to work and how this guy is going to be as a character. Then again Jack as a character was very ambitious and misguided.
