Could you pls share the most filthy ash smuts you know of ? //will take a lashton if need be//
"Most filthy" is pretty subjective imo (and having been in this game for a minute as both author and reader, I know my barometer is probably different than most 😂🤡🥸) so I'm not quite sure what exactly to recommend but I can definitely point you to some resources. 😏
- Just in case you're not familiar with the smut I've written, I'll link you to my AO3 - everything there is also available here on Tumblr, but with their detailed tagging system, it's much easier to scroll thru and see what may/may not be to your liking smut wise.
- It's a mess atm but I did host a fic rec blog at one point and once you get past the self-reblogs lmao, there's some gems hidden in there. Here's the tag specifically for Ashton smut, along with a couple stories I just scrolled past that I know used to be discussed a lot. (Pro tip: there's sadly no way to get past the "read more" on works from deactivated accounts but if a "read more" is dead bc of a username change, you can either click on the author's username at the top of the reblog and it should take you to the full post or ofc in a browser you can replace the old username with the new one in the read more URL)
- My buddy @cal-puddies has written some killer Ash fic in her time, so here's her Ash specific masterlist. Included there is "Daddy's Home", a multi-part poly!Lashton series that I think decidedly qualifies as filthy. (And if you're open to other pairings, Cass also has some wild Cashton threesome fics as well 😌)
#scrolling thru that old fic blog is a trip omg#there used to be SO MUCH fic on Tumblr what happened 😭😭😭😭#Tumblr in general was just. a wildly different place I guess lmao#and so much... hornier? 😂😂😂#we were just fuckin feral 24/7 apparently#anyways#hopefully you find something you like here!#hopefully you haven't already read all this stuff lol#if you haven't yet I really do think you'll enjoy Cass's Daddy's Home series#it accidentally turned into an excellent well-rounded story but it really just started out as an unabashed clown filth parade#10/10 tbqh#i wish i had a separate daddy's home masterlist to link but somehow i still have been unable to make that happen ever after 2 years 😭#it's coming i swear 😂#ask#anon#kh4f writing#fic recs#smut

all the numbers owo
GrCUnA gaoh god sdljhdkjshfkjsh
This is gonna get long so I’ll put it under the cut. I’m also gonna remove the ones I’ve answered already.
1. What fandoms do you write for?
OPM and AtLA. I have a Miraculous Ladybug fic, but the creator is a nightmare and I hate the way the show treats the main character (literally the creator said part of the show’s episode formula is the main character “learns a lesson” every episode: usually through humiliation) and all the characters of color so I really don’t write for it anymore.
2. What pairings do you write for?
Batarou, Mumensai, and I do general fics.
3. What is your most popular fanfic?
My Miraculous Ladybug fic. By like. a lot akfdjhlgkjhfdlkg
It’s got triple the subscriptions and bookmarks, double the hits, and more kudos than any of my other fics. And I haven’t updated since January.
4. Do you write original stories as well?
I do! I’m a creative writing major, so I do a lot of memoir nonfiction and poetry, but I also write fictional short stories.
5. What fanfic of yours should everyone have read?
I don’t think there is one! Different strokes and all. But if you weren’t aware, I’m working on an ATLA fic rn about Zuko trying to repair his relationship with Azula. Not for this fandom, but a fun fic for me because it’s a bit out of my wheelhouse.
6. What is a fandom you will never write for?
Out of the ones I’ve been in, voltron.
7. What is a ship you will never write for?
There are...a lot. For the sake of my mental well being, I will not list them. But I will say any ship between a teen and someone in their mid twenties or beyond is a no go for me.
8. Archive of Our Own, FanFiction.net, Wattpad, Tumblr, etc. which platform do you prefer?
Begrudgingly, Ao3. I have my issues with Ao3 and I think I’ve made those pretty clear (and they’ve gotten me into some hot water lmao) but it’s a good place to put fics.
10. How do you stay motivated to finish what you’ve started?
I could not tell you. I am so bad at staying motivated. Certain fics I love writing. Others feel like I’m pulling teeth.
11. What’s your longest fanfic?
Hidden Horns. By a lot. like 20k words a lot.
12. Do you want to break your readers‘ heart or make them laugh?
A bit of both, but I lean towards laughing. The world needs more light.
13. What is your planning process?
Depends on the fic. For short ones or oneshots, there really isn’t one. For longer fics, I’ll have an outline, but a lot of times I’m laying tracks as I go. If I think of a good scene or line, I’ll write it down and just keep it at the end of my doc until it comes up in the story.
15. OCs or no OCs?
OC’s only when they’re necessary for plot. For example, Madame Oshitani in Hidden Horns only really showed up because I needed a piano teacher, and I couldn’t have it be an existing hero. Outside of that, I tend to avoid putting OC’s in fics, because I find them disruptive when I’m reading fics.
16. Do you use sentence starters, writing prompts and/or fandom headcanons for your fanfics?
Sometimes! Hidden Horns was based off of this fanart. If they are, I make sure to note that in the notes.
20. Can we get a list of all of your current available fanfics?
Yeah you got:
A (Not So) Brief Hiatus-Miraculous Ladybug
Promises to Keep-OPM/batarou
Little Boy-OPM/Metal Bat centric
A Game of Chase-OPM/batarou
Not Invincible-OPM/batatou death
Someone Fun-OPM/Mumensai
Date With the Devil-OPM/Mumensai sequel
Something of Note-OPM/Mumensai
Conduct Evil-OPM/batarou
Grief and Other Intangibles-OPM/Zombiedad and CE death
Horns and Fangs Series (Hidden Horns and Fear and Fangs)-OPM/batarou
Spaghetti and Juiceboxes-OPM/Zombiedad and CE
I guess they don't like me but I never figured out why (I guess they think I don't like them either)-ATLA/Zuko reaches out to Azula
21. What’s your shortest fanfic?
Conduct Evil at a whopping 354 words.
23. Long chapters or short chapters?
They vary! Mine tend to be pretty short, like 1k-4k.
24. How many WIPs (work-in-progress) do you’ve got?
*sweats* Like 17 at least
25. How many WIPs will you finish?
Rude to assume I won’t finish all of them eight if I’m lucky
26. First-person-narrative or third-person-narrative?
Third. I hate writing in first person except for in nonfiction.
27. Do you take requests?
Kind of. If people send me an ask that I vibe with, I might write something, but as a general rule, no. I’ve been considering doing commissions though, so if you want to toss a coin to your bitcher lmk
28. I will name you three things (object — scenario — fandom/ship): write a paragraph or two!
I can’t do this one without those three kdjhflkjsdh
29. What’s more difficult? Fanfics or original work?
They’re difficult in different ways, but original is way harder.
Original work means there’s zero scaffolding to build off of except for the scaffolding you make yourself, and there’s a lot of issues with worldbuilding and creating complex and relatable characters.
Fanfic relies on a solid understanding of existing characters and dynamics, as well as the internal logic of the world. The scaffolding is there, but often times it’s stifling.
30. What writing software do you use?
Word and Google Docs fkjhslgkjh
31. Do you use beta/sensitive readers?
Nope. I probably should though.
32. Past or present tense?
Past. I can’t consistently write in present.
33. Do friends and family know that you write fanfics?
Some of my friends do. I’ve shared some with them! I use fanfic as warmup, so a lot of my writing friends know about my fics.
34. How did you find the world of fanfics?
I wrote Adventure Time fanfic on middle school and published them on an Adventure Time facebook group. They were wildly popular in the group.
36. Did you ever delete a work of yours?
I don’t think so tbh.
37. Did your work ever get plagiarized?
If it did, I wouldn’t know. But I highly doubt it.
38. Do you partake in any fanfic/writing events? (Big bangs, zines, NaNoWriMo, etc?)
No because I can’t stick to a deadline.
39. Collaborations or working solo?
I’ve never done a collaboration before.
41. What is something you don’t like about your writing?
I rely really heavily on dialogue and I’m suuuper aware of it. I think the thing is I do a lot of domestic fics, and even my story fics tend to be pretty domestic. I’m looking at you Hidden Horns
My original work doesn’t tend to lean on it as heavily.
43. Guilty pleasure tropes and scenarios?
I am a die hard found family bitch. Nothing guilty about it.
44. Does fanart of your fanfic exist?
Yes, actually. The aforementioned middle school fic got mini fancomic for the first chapter, and I wrote a Miraculous Ladybug ficlet in a fic chain that got fanart.
45. Do fanfics of your fanfic exist?
I think there might be one that was inspired by my fic, but I can’t remember tbh.
47. What fanfic of yours is truly underrated?
My ATLA fic!!! give it some love tf :/ (kidding of course.)
50. Can we get a teaser for an upcoming chapter?
Yeah, here you go:
The hero removed his coat and dropped it on the ground, where it landed with a solid “thud”.
He unhooked the holster under his arms, removed a knife from both boots, and unstrapped the machetes from his back.
They joined the trench coat in the pile.
Garou watched in equal parts awe and horror as Zombieman continued to produce weapons from increasingly improbable locations.
Finally, when the pile at his feet was large enough to arm a private militia, Zombieman stopped.
“I’ve got a pistol in my chest, but I’d prefer not to take that one out,” he said, pushing past Garou. “Feels rude to invite myself over then get blood all over the tatami.”

A (looo-o-o-o-ng-ish) Tales From The Borderlands post
After sitting on this game since its 2014 release waiting for the perfect time to play it, I finally got around to starting Tales in preparation for Borderlands 3.
I’ve seen all the characters over 5 years in YouTube clips, gif sets, fan art, people just generally talking about them and finally I got to ‘meet’ them myself.
My opinion of each character so far is quite different than I imagined.
Rhys - I've known for a while this guy is my accidental doppelganger (same name, nickname - Cupcake, gender, age, hair color, invasive blue modification in the left eye, company man profession, ‘hostile takeover’ victim, life choices, probably more - really everything except the mechanical hand, head implant and new mustache - is that my future fate?) however he's got a wildly different personality to me than I thought. He’s way more ambitious and awkward and I’m more avoidant and well, slightly less awkward. Now I know there's more differences between us it's kind of a relief, honestly. Gearbox is off the hook for stealing my life.
As for what I think of him, yeah he's a bit more awkward than I imagined lmao, he's likable but I ended up liking some of the others a bit more. Maybe just because I’ve seen him around the community so much so the other characters were more fresh? Also although Troy Baker did a great job, I still think his new voice suits him better (if that's even him...). Maybe I just have Troy Baker over-saturation from associating him with too many other characters before Rhys.
Vaughn - I was indifferent to him but having seen what he's like I really like him! Tiny nerd who likes tech, deals with finance but ultimately just wants to run off into the wilderness and never come back and is always anxious about something? that’s me! He's my new personality and looks doppelganger! So now I know I'm basically Rhys + Vaughn in one person. Probably not a good thing.
Fiona - I like her but I regret picking some of the dialogues I did because I wanted to play her more ruthless given her backstory. I’ll do a darker playthrough later where I can explore that better because I feel that’s where her character really shines. I’ll be annoyed if they don’t bring her and Sasha back for Borderlands 3 like they did with Rhys and Vaughn already because they’re great characters. I hope they get a whole DLC.
Sasha - She's one of my new favorites, she has awesome combat skills and I almost yelled out loud when Handsome Jack insulted her without her knowing. I think some of her best dialogue would happen in a darker Fiona playthrough. I really like her interactions with Rhys as well, they seem to have good chemistry but I managed to make things so awkward by my own awkwardness and Rhys’s awkwardness, double awkwardness. So I clearly picked the wrong dialogues and she didn’t appreciate that at all :(
Zer0 - I never actually played Zer0 in Borderlands 2 so I'll include how I see him here. He's just the definition of cool, holy hell the way he leaps around with his sword, and I really like how Rhys looks up to him. I finally saw the “you’re really cool” part in context. I like how he has a super high status in the world as a known vault hunter and to us who've played BL2 he's just one of our regular old player choices.
August - This guy makes me anxious as hell, but I'm guessing we're supposed to be wary of him until we know more about him then he gets some sort of redemption or we see his nicer side.
Vasquez - No real surprises, I hate this guy's guts and wish to throw him out of an airlock.
Felix - I knew something was up with his guy and I was right. Regret not picking the baddass dialogue option with Fiona but again that’s one for next time.
Shade - I think this is my biggest sway of opinion. I found him creepy as hell back in Oasis in the Borderlands 2 DLC but in Tales he actually seems more likeable. I just wanted to be his friend as he seemed really lonely, even though he stuffs dead bodies and pretends they're alive just to have someone to talk to. I just have an appreciation for how well Gearbox writes creepy characters I guess, lmao.
Loader Bot & Gortys - I would protect these 2 with my life. I love their little conversations bitching about the other characters. Loader Bot is such a bro and has some amazing one-liners.
The imaginary scenes where they have such high opinions of themselves are my favorite.
Dammit Rhys, you’ve opened the real Pandora’s box now. it’s all over. Technically it’s the PreSequel vault hunters’ fault for helping Nakayama program his Jack AI in that side quest on Helios, but I still...
Well, the game was peaceful while it lasted. Now it’s time for the awkward fun of Handsome Jack screeching my real name and my tumblr nickname and tormenting my virtual-likeness like it’s a torture sim.
Yeah this is going to be a long-ass game, lmao.
I’ve seen the beginning of the 2nd chapter on YouTube and gif sets enough times but it was great to see it in context finally.
I’m going to review the rest of the chapters individually in different posts but this is what I got for the 1st one. My choices were all over the place deciding how I was going to play them but I think I’ve got it, mostly.

i'm confused about the JK Rowling thing. I mean surely not every story has to represent everyone right? I get that people are upset with the way she's responding, but why were they attacking her in the first place? Is it because it's so wildly popular that people think it should be more inclusive? I can understand that, but how would she have known that in the beginning? I don't know i guess i'm clouded by my white privilege but i don't quite understand what people want from her at this point.
I know what you mean, anon. Although I’ve been part of the HP fandom on here since I first created my Tumblr account, I don’t consider myself actively involved in it (by which I mean that I avoid current topics/gossip/drama), but for years I’ve been aware of the voices of the fans questioning JKR’s lack of representation in Harry Potter. It’s exploded again recently because of the reveal of Nagini as a person (more specifically, a Korean woman) in the new FBAWTFT film and there’s a post here that you can read that explains that.
Warning, discussion below on sensitive topics regarding representation of minorities, race/racism, sexuality/homophobia, disability and colonialism.
Firstly, you are right that no story has to represent everyone, because that would be impossible. The truth of it is that any writer has the agency and choice to write the characters and story they want to. Speaking from a personal perspective as someone that loves to write and is a straight, white girl with no disabilities or part of any minority group (that I’m aware of), it is significantly more challenging to write characters that are from minority groups. The reason for that is because I myself do not identify or fit into any of those labels (I can’t think of a more appropriate word, so I’m gonna stick with labels, forgive me if it’s a poor choice of word), so I don’t completely understand what it is to be gay or black or physically disabled and what if I can’t bring justice to a character that is those things? What if I offend someone that reads it that is gay, black or disabled? And these are the kind of issues that representation can pose for writers. Having said that, all of this can be resolved with one simple word - research. In my case, it’s very different because I only write for fun and recreational purposes (although there’s always a certain level of research that goes into my writing), but for a professional author, they should be working their asses off to do research to ensure they do their characters justice.
Personally, I think concerns over representation being raised are always valid. We live in a world where there are more voices speaking out against injustices and particularly, injustices that are more subtle or that have been normalised and widely accepted, such as the lack of representation in popular culture. Having said that, I don’t agree with sending hate and/or being violent or aggressive in raising those concerns and at times, I think the HP fandom can be guilty of that.
As I pointed out to the tags in my post, I really don’t think JKR did anything wrong in not having diverse representation in her books for a number of reasons. The most obvious reason is that she simply wrote characters that were relatable to her and that she was in touch with in her daily life. It’s important to bear in mind the context of the time in which she was writing - people, particularly young people, seem to forget how much progress has been made in such a short time and how much more liberal societies (I’m particularly referring to the UK here, since that’s where I live and JKR lives) have become over the last few decades. When I was a child I didn’t know anyone that identified as anything but straight until I was around 19/20 years old and then slowly I had friends and people around me that came out as gay, bi and pan; I didn’t meet anyone that was trans until I was 22 years old; at my school I only knew one child that was physically disabled; at my primary school there was only one child that wasn’t white.
Obviously I can’t comment on JKR’s personal character since I don’t know her and I don’t follow her or engage with her through social media, but the lack of representation doesn’t immediately mean she’s inherently racist or homophobic or biphobic or erasing any kind of minority group deliberately. She was just writing what she knew. But what I said and you have agreed with is that she hasn’t handled things right. Her reactions to fans complaints have sometimes been childish and the Nagini incident shows that she’s grasping at straws to try and pacify people by providing them with the representation everybody is asking for, but it’s only making things worse for all the reasons the post I linked above explains.
However, shifting away from the whole JKR drama and reflecting on what you said about white privilege - it’s a topic that I’ve been researching a lot recently for educational purposes (this is really just my opportunity to discuss an area of research I’m thoroughly enjoying and finding fascinating, so I apologise in advance if you don’t care about any of this lmao). I’m currently studying a module at university about Jim Crow in South America which is an exploration of black history in America starting from Reconstruction following the end of the Civil War right up until the 1970s (I think near the end of the module we may even touch upon Black Lives Matter). I’m also researching for my dissertation which is about experiences of African American soldiers in the Vietnam War and what’s fascinating to me through the research I’ve been doing is the construct of race and ‘whiteness’. It’s an issue that’s too complex to explain, and you may not care or be interested, but the short version is that race biologically and scientifically does not exist. There is no biological differences (except external appearances) that separate a black/brown/yellow person from a white person, it has quite literally been constructed by European white colonialists and scientists as a way to suppress people of colour, usually for economic purposes. You might be wondering why this is relevant, but it’s because until about 2-3 years ago, as a white person I had no understanding or knowledge of race and how it impacts people’s entire lives - socially, economically and politically. You’re right that white privilege clouds your judgement, particularly when it comes to issues of race, it clouds the judgement of every white person in the world, but what’s worse is that most white people don’t even recognise that white privilege exists. I see so many white people around me in my daily life and on TV (the most recent example I saw was on Celebrity Big Brother UK, which made me so angry I could create an entirely different post on that) claim “racism doesn’t exist anymore” or “this is a equal society” and it infuriates me beyond belief. White people don’t see racism because they don’t experience it and they’re not living it.
To finish on a final point that’s relevant to your original ask, at this point you’re right that there’s nothing JKR can do to make fans happy. When a series is as popular as Harry Potter and has such a huge fan-base, there is always going to be someone complaining about some aspect of it. If it wasn’t an issue of under-representation, it would only be something else. Nothing in this world is ever perfect and there’s always room for improvement. Honestly, I think the best thing for JKR to do is leave the Harry Potter universe the hell alone. The series is not without its problems, but generally it’s so well-loved by millions of people globally and the fact that she keeps trying to add/retcon certain aspects of the universe and/or characters is what’s frustrating fans more so than anything else. She should just admit that it doesn’t have the representation it could’ve had, learn from that and in any future projects, she can be more aware to be diverse with the characters she writes.
