you hear that there are a lot of shikis in tsukihime, but it isn't until you play tsukihime and its fandiscs that you realize that oh my god there are so fucking many shikis. i can count four (4) distinct instances of a shiki that are derived from tohno shiki, and still--still!!--nasu has even more shikis in his back pocket.

they need to institute a hunting season to control the shiki population.

this is his normal getup and it aint too bad tbh. in fact i lowkey fuck with it. i may even find this good looking (random fun fact: this is the first time we ever see shiki and its not even in the original vn its from plus disc)

i get hes a student but why the fuck are you dressed up like that in evening anyways actually wtf.

his taste in fashion is really questionable even more so then the GODDESS arcueid

Finished tsukihime and loved it. Wondering if KT is actually worth the time or is it like a ‘only play if you love the lore’ type deal?

plus-disc and KT are definitely worth a read if you enjoyed tsukihime

I should probably check out melty blood at some point. I dont really like fighting games but it does feel awkward with how often i see people talk about tsukihime and its still just kinda incomprehensible after going through the main game, the plus disc, and kagetsu tohya

– Kara no Kyoukai: the Garden of sinners, Tsukihime, and Fate are all part of the same metaseries penned by Kinoko Nasu (Witch on the Holy Night is as well, but it is not included in this collection since only the enhanced version is translated which can be bought on current generation consoles and PC)

– Fate/stay night Ultimate Patch has many settings to customize your experience of the game, please play around with them and set them to your liking, but some of my recommendations are **Display > Quality > High (x2.0) [higher resolutions not included due to much larger file sizes with diminishing returns] **Language > English ReTrans (2nd beta) **Patch > [ANY] Content > [Choose "Classic" for a first playthrough if you want a more faithful experience or "Mixed" for a faithful experience with some Vita additions, but might be best for a second playthrough] **Patch > Censorship > check "Show mature content" + "Show Ecchi & Hentai + Fan-made Demosaic" for the full eroge experience or keep "Show mature content" unchecked for the all-ages experience **Patch > Movie Playback Options > check Display subtitles in movies + Movie Quality > High **Patch > Route Lock > Automatic **Patch > Title menu style > Automatic

– Melty Blood is a series of fighting games featuring the cast of Tsukihime (ReACT is an expansion for the original Melty Blood)

While I'm not sure if anyone ever calls Neko Arc that name in Tsukihime proper, in the Plus Disc in Geccha 2 she does introduce herself as Neko Arc! So she was at least conceptualized as her own idea by that point, if nothing else.

I get why via the explanation given in plus disc, but it's so wack that Arcueid's good ending is considered the "canon" ending for tsukihime (mainly melty blood it seems) media. Maybe there's some alternative world where Satsuki's route that hasn't come to be yet is considered the "canon" ending for melty blood and other tsukihime based works, that'd be interesting. Of course there's also the fact that you could just have different canonical endings for different stories. Oh well, I'm sure people were having the same feelings in the early 2000s, like people arguing over whether Tifa or Aerith are better or better for Cloud today just like people were since over 25 years ago.
