"Honor Lives not Deaths"

Today, I came across various obituaries on X dedicated to the Late PM Dr. Manmohan Singh, sharing various anecdotes about his simplicity and humility. Additionally, I noticed numerous positive comments about him across various social media platforms. It struck me that, while he was alive, such positive words were scarcely spoken, yet now they are abundant in the media.
#Appreciation #Cherish #hypocrisy
This observation led me to ponder the hypocrisy that often governs us humans. People tend to speak well of someone only after they have passed away. They visit homes to pay homage and attend cremation ceremonies as a mark of respect, or to show their concern or sorrow over the loss of a loved one, be it a relative, friend, or acquaintance. But what is the point of showing concern when someone is already gone and unable to hear or see your words or feel your absence? This seems like pure hypocrisy—a way to show society that everything is fine in one's heart.
#Memories #Value ##tribute
It would have been far more meaningful to say good words about him while he was alive, to write on social media about his good deeds and simplicity, or to interview him. However, none of this was done. In real life, too, we witness such hypocrisy, where people gather only at funerals. When the person was alive, longing for a chat due to cherished memories and long associations, they were often ignored because others had different priorities and couldn't find the time—be it a week, a month, or even years.
Now, sharing anecdotes when someone is gone is futile. Your value lies in recognizing and appreciating a person while they are alive. Once a person is gone, these gestures become valueless.
#Legacy #Humility #Respect

[ad_1] The Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha, described the renowned writer and Member of Parliament, the late Shri Shankar Dayal Singh, as a "saintly author" and praised his total dedication to truth.
