I'm assuming your headcanons for Morphling will be covered inside of your fanfic, but you mentioned having a lot for her, would you make a list of them?
Sure I can, because most people don't have all the time in the world to read a super long fic.
I headcannon her name is Maureen Trevi. She won the 49th Annual Hunger Games when she was 18 years old.
(so In Catching Fire she is around 44 years old btw :) )
Before getting reaped she did paint jobs for different vehicles at the same factory as her dad.
She lives with her dad and younger sister and she has an estranged mother.
The last time anyone from D6 won was the same year she was born so she didn't have very high hopes for herself. At the same time she kind of knew moping too much wasn't going to let her win
Her District partner was a 13 year old boy named Dev that had essentially given up before the games even started. Even being the first causality of the game. One of the rare times that last place and first place were from the same District.
The arena for her games was an overgrown humid forest.
During her games she mostly hid with camouflage and used poison to get a upper hand on the other tributes.
She killed 4 tributes during her games, has a lot of crippling guilt around that. Always kind of seeing herself as a coward for how she killed the other tributes.
Had a brief alliance with another tribute because they bonded during training, he unfortunately dies (well yeah duh)
Added to that he was the son of a former victor, so added fun having to see his mom every year afterwards.
Has a low key friendship with Haymitch because of how close their Victory are, and they relate to each other when it comes to the substance abuse problems.
Usually wears long sleeves or long sleeved gloves because she is tired of hearing complaints from capitol audience that they can see needle marks on her arms.
11 years after her Victory, during the 60th game, she was the mentor of a 16 year old boy named Cassius and he ended up winning.
Mostly having a similar strategy as her and even getting her to share the strategies she used for her games because he thought that was the best chance he had to survive.
Unfortunately he ends up pretty quickly following her path with getting attached to drugs to cope with the games and his new life as a Victor.
They mostly bond after the games with art. Her mostly preferring to paint landscapes and him mostly preferring to draw with pen and pencil.
Most of the paintings she has done is usually around landscapes and rather abstract stuff. Usually any excuse to play around with colors.
Also like to think their friendship is WLW and MLM solidarity. Too many fics have the Morphlings as a romantic couple and I am tired of it. Nothing wrong with that interpretation, but it feels very "man and woman is considered a duo, they must be a couple" kind of.
Here are some of the headcannons for her.
#eva answers stuff#the morphlings#of course more in the fic but not going to write a whole ass plot synopsis for it#if you are curious the fic starts around the 60th game and it jumps back and forth between the past and present#thg headcanons#anyways thanks for the ask#not art#district 6#tofs tag

the intro to a hypothetical wolfstar ballad of songbirds and snakes au that i probably wont write more of:
cw slightly graphic descriptions of injuries, death, rabies, and cannibalism
Sirius doesn’t necessarily like the Capitol, and you could say he’s seen its low points. He watched from his bedroom window as the streets turned to trenches. He was there in the kitchen when his family’s fluffy, pampered poodle started frothing at the mouth and lunged for his mother’s throat. From behind a dumpster, he and his little brother bore witness to his father’s friends– honorable men– chopping limbs off of dead women's bodies– made into scavengers by starvation.
But nothing he’s seen, nothing he’s experienced– not gunfire, not rabies, not cannibalism– could compare to the horror of watching his little brother’s mangled, burned, and bloated corpse get hoisted from the bottom of the Novus Trevi.
Sirius had been holding out hope that he was alive. He saw Regulus get blasted back. He saw his shirt catch on fire. He heard him cry out. He heard the splash as he launched himself into the Plaza’s massive, churning fountain to escape the spreading flames.
But it wasn’t until they pulled out the body and revealed his brother’s locket around its throat that Sirius gave it up for a lost cause. He fell to his knees right there in the street and vomited. He would have stayed there, if not for Andromeda.
But he had to get up. Because Sirius was all that was left– the only remaining son to the once-formidable House of Black.
And the rebels did that. District rebels. Rebels who claimed to be fighting for the country’s children.
So yeah. Sirius hates the districts. Sue him.
#tbosbas#dark sirius black#marauders#wolfstar#sirius black as snow#remus as lucy#and i dont think he would necessarily be as musical as lucy but he'd add gentleness and art back into sirius' life#james as sejanus#pls the thought of that makes me puke#are there lots of ways to write this as jegulus? yes#is this what im inspired to do rn?#also yes#andromeda as tigris#you could also sub out sirius' name for regulus' and write this as jegulus w barty as sejanus and narcissa as tigris#rabies#violence#graphic#war#cannibalism

A sleepy day in Rome
We woke up earlier than normal to pack our things in Matera, drive to Bari, and get on a plane to Rome, where we will spend our last few days before coming back to the states.
This has been an abnormal trip to Italy thus far, only traveling by plane and car, so I opted for the chance to take the train from the airport to our apartment in Testaccio so that Hannah could get a taste of European travel. Then we had to schelp all our stuff on foot the final 15 minutes of the trip - the not so great part of that plan - but we were able to check in right away, and then were off for a long overdue lunch.
Rome certainly feels like a different place than the cities in Puglia - way more tourists, more immigrants, way more garbage, an incredible amount of graffiti, but also many more trees and greenery other than olive trees. And with the Tiber River, more water, too.
We started our walking tour from our apartment in Testaccio over to Trastevere for lunch. Almost any pizza here is great, but we found a very highly rated place and at some delicious pizza. From there, we walked around Trastevere, had gelato, and then crossed the Tiber. Despite the bumpy sidewalks, Hannah passed out at this point, missed all the scenic spots - Piazza Navona, the Pantheon, the Trevi Fountain, the Adrian Temple, and then the long uphill walk to Porta Princiana, an entrance to Villa Borghese, the large park above Rome. As soon as we arrived at the playground (our actual destination), she woke up. Amazing timing.
We let her play for a while and even try the kids "piccolo slalom" go-kart/bumper cars (a disaster) and then continued on our long walk. I didn't plan the walk out of the park too well so we missed the terrace in the park with the great view of Rome, and instead ended up walking along the road and arriving in Piazza del Popolo. From there we walked through the fancy district of Rome to the Spanish Steps. We looked all over for a tabaccheria to buy bus tickets, but they were all closed, so we took a gamble and rode the bus home without paying. We had already walked 8 miles so I mapped out our route so we could take the bus home, and found a way so we didn't have to transfer but also got dropped off less than half a block from our apartment.
We all took much needed showers, managed to avoid a disaster after Hannah locked herself in the bathroom (good thing she has practiced using keys before!), and then went out for dinner at a nice place in our neighborhood where we met up with my uncle's wife's cousin Layla and her husband Giulio, who live in Rome. They weren't free for dinner until 9:30 PM so Hannah was a basketcase, but the dinner was delicious, and it was nice to have some local company, and also learn a few things about Italy. For example, the fact that the banks did not exchange money for us was totally crazy...and also, don't come to Italy next year. It's a jubilee year for the Pope, so every religious person will be here and it's going to be crazy in Rome. Good to know, and also explains why they are cleaning all the monuments.
