Trends Vacuum - Hoover REACT QuickLift UH73300PC Reviews If you have CATS... hint.. LITTER.... this is NOT the vacuum for you! Consider myself a vac aficiondo of sorts, have gone through many a vacuum as well as repaired many a vacuum and have: a decent bagless dirt devil that i use in garage and stuff like that an in wall mounted intervac hose vac meant for campers and trailers that i installed when we first moved into current home and got this brand new at an auction, it was kinda cool... but. if you have cats...LITTER.. this in wall unit worked and works gREAT.. fantastic suction, but the LONG hose we have to use makes it a pain, it's kind of loud even though its mounted in a wall; and, there is no electric powered brush head for carpets which is a downer since we have 5 decent sized area rugs with varying pile density and height. when dragging hose around home, when you go into rooms, the hose would snag on wall corners and little by little, break away the wall sheetrock edges.... sooooooooooooooooo... Enter an awesome SEBO Automatic X4 bagged upright. GREAT machine, did it all.... but things got old and it recently went kaput. Enter the Hoover® REACT™ QuickLift™ Upright Vacuum (UH73301) watch the video for this review.... hint, i sent it back with 3 days of receiving it. Its not a bad vacuum... but, if you have various floors, tile, laminate, area rugs, and... tada.. you have CATS, which ='s LITTER, this is NOT THE VACUUM for you! I made the 'review' video on my own after seeing all the whoopty whoop confetti glitter tests.... i should have realized it then.. just how many of us have homes strewn with confetti and glitter??? It does NOT compare on any level to cat litter; i didnt realize that when i hit the PAY NOW button. It may be great on CARPET, but hard floors with tile and laminate and area rugs; well, carpets it does fine i guess. but that was NOT what i was looking for. Most vacuums like this one do a good or great job on carpets. Its when transitioning to hard floor types where its weakness become quite clear. Trends Vacuum - Hoover REACT QuickLift Bagless Upright UH73300PC Reviews Well, somebody had to say it, I hope I'm the first. This vacuum sucks!! But I mean that in a really good way. I have owned a Dyson Ball and lately an Oreck and this vacuum is better than either dollar for dollar. The reason I mentioned the Dyson Ball is because the Hoover React center steers like the Dyson. A very good feature. The Dyson is perfect steering-wise but carries a huge price tag. The Hoover tends to be heavier in the steering department but is manageable with use. I don't remember the Dyson as having this amount of suction however. I don't think that the Oreck is even in the same league with a relatively wimpy 7 amp motor. I always shop amps with tools like this because that is where the power is, the REACT's is 11 amps. And that is how we get to sucking. This thing has to have a thumb control to modulate the suction in some instances. Seriously. It has powerful suction. I have pictures in my head of little dust & dirt particles clinging for their lives to carpet fibers before getting sucked into oblivion within the REACT. When using the wand under the bed, I accidentally ingested a baggie of four 1½" bolts with nuts and washers and didn't even know it until I emptied the canister later (I wondered where those went!). Some other high points: The LED lighting lights perfectly for spying dirt on a hard floor, the conversion to a carry type canister for doing things like stairs is easy and quick, It's very bearably quiet considering the suction it delivers. Pulling the wand out to do high cleaning as you are doing floors and things is very easy and emptying the canister is very easy too. Nice long cord. I like the floor sensing feature and having the ability to turn it off if need be. If I was to pick nits (and say knock off half a star or something), I'd say that the cord material is a bit stiff, The steering feature is a bit heavy feeling at times and there isn't a place to store all three attachments, you need to decide which two you want on board. All-in-all a good, well thought-out machine.
