How to Book Flights for a Long-Haul Journey
Book cheap flight tickets and hotels- https://trailtravelz.com/
Booking flights for a long-haul journey requires careful planning and consideration to ensure a comfortable and smooth travel experience. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you navigate the process:
Research and Compare Airlines: Start by researching different airlines that operate on your desired route. Compare factors such as flight duration, layovers, onboard amenities, and customer reviews to choose the best option for your needs.
Check for Deals and Discounts: Look out for special deals and discounts offered by airlines or third-party booking websites. Booking in advance or being flexible with your travel dates can often result in significant savings.
Choose the Right Seat: Selecting the right seat can make a big difference on a long flight. Consider factors like legroom, proximity to the restroom, and window vs. aisle preferences. Many airlines now allow you to choose seats during the booking process.
Consider Layovers: If your journey involves layovers, evaluate the duration and location of each layover. Longer layovers can provide a chance to stretch your legs, but excessively short layovers might be stressful if you have to rush between gates.
Pack Strategically: Pack essential items such as medications, travel documents, a change of clothes, and entertainment (books, tablet, etc.) in your carry-on bag. Check the airline’s baggage policies to avoid extra fees or issues at the airport.
Check Visa and Passport Requirements: Ensure that your passport is valid for the duration of your trip and that you have any necessary visas or travel authorizations for your destination country.
Review Health and Safety Guidelines: Familiarize yourself with any health and safety guidelines provided by the airline or relevant authorities. This includes COVID-19 protocols, vaccination requirements, and any specific regulations for your destination.
Confirm Your Booking: Double-check all details of your booking, including travel dates, flight times, seat selection, and any additional services you’ve opted for (e.g., meals, extra baggage). Ensure that your contact information is correct in case of updates or changes.
By following these steps, you can book flights for your long-haul journey with confidence, knowing that you’ve covered all essential aspects for a comfortable and enjoyable trip.

Kotaloy Celebration Week, Day #6: Warming UP
The prompts for today were "sharing warmth" (SFW) and "praise" (NSFW). I did some NSFW sharing warmth with a sprinkle of praise. Still counts, I hope? 😂
The whole oneshot is ~9000 words; only an excerpt is here. Read the whole thing on AO3.
*******************
Aloy took a deep breath of frosty air, then let it out slowly. “All right. Last stretch,” she said.
Kotallo nodded. “We’ve got this.”
“Yep,” she said. She rolled each of her shoulders to work out the kinks, then clambered up the final snow-dusted stretch of sheer cliff and onto the highest plateau of the base’s mountain.
She blew out a breath of relief as she rose to her feet, then took a sip of water and offered her waterskin to Kotallo, who was rising to his feet beside her. “Ho boy. This was quite the climb.”
He nodded his thanks as he took the waterskin. “More or less challenging than the climbing you did during the Proving trial?”
“Less challenging, for sure.”
He gave her a look of mild surprise. “Less challenging? Truly?”
“Of course,” she said. “I mean, the cliffs aren’t as high for the Proving, but the pressure was on. I had to come in first or it would all have been for nothing.” She gestured at the mountain plateau that she and Kotallo were now standing on. “This wasn’t a challenge. This was for fun.”
“Challenges can be fun,” he said.
She gave him a chiding smirk. “And yet, you didn’t challenge me to race you to the top.”
“That would be an irresponsible challenge,” he said. “This climb called for stamina, not speed.”
“Uh-huh,” she said playfully. “You sure you weren’t just trying to avoid a defeat?”
He quirked a brow at her. “Those words alone could constitute a challenge.”
She chuckled, and his face softened into a small smile. “Not to worry. I’ll come up with a proper challenge for you sooner than later.”
“I’ll look forward to that,” she said with a smile. Then she rubbed her partly-exposed arms.
Kotallo stepped closer to her and squeezed her arm. “You’re cold?”
“Yeah. But sweaty, too. My favourite combination,” she said dryly.
“Mm. We should set up the tent, then.” He ran his big warm palm along her arm. “You should change out of your sweaty clothing, or it will make you colder.”
“Yes, Marshal,” she said jokingly.
A smile flashed across his face as he took off his large travelpack. “That’s your response?”
“Were you expecting a different one?” She opened the travelpack and started pulling out the tent parts.
“I was,” he said. “An accusation that I was being bossy, perhaps.”
She chuckled. “I’m giving you the benefit of the doubt for now. Take this?” She handed him the bundle of fabric that would make up the body of the tent, then started pulling out the collapsible tent pole.
She and Kotallo set up the tent with the ease of long practice, hooking Aloy’s small Utaru lamp on the inside of the tent pole and laying out their bedrolls and Kotallo’s fur blanket for padding and warmth. When the tent was set up, Aloy pushed her pack into the tent and gratefully scrambled inside.
Kotallo called to her from outside of the tent. “Are you taking off your sweaty clothes?”
She rolled her eyes playfully. “Yes, Kotallo, I’m taking off the sweaty clothes.”
“Good.”
She poked her head out of the tent — ooh, he was already removing his chestplate, that was nice. “You’re being bossy,” she informed him.
He shot her a smile. “That was a short-lived benefit of the doubt.”
“Hey, that’s on you and your insubordinate commands,” she said, and she ducked back into the tent to keep changing.
His droll voice came to her through the tent flaps. “They won’t be insubordinate anymore when I leave your command to return to my Marshal duties.”
She felt a little pang at the thought of him resuming his duties to Hekarro, but she made sure not to let it bleed into her voice when she replied. “Does that mean you think you can boss me around without consequence once you’re back with the tribe?”
He pushed aside the tent flap. “Boss you around, without consequence? I can’t imagine you would allow it.”
He was completely naked, and his cock was hard. Her appreciative gaze stuck on his tattooed abs and thighs for a second — and yes, fine, on his cock as well.
He chuckled, and she lifted her eyes to his face with a sheepish smile. “Sorry. I didn’t realize you meant you were going to take off all your clothes.”
“I didn’t realize that you weren't going to take off all your clothes,” he said as he kneeled across from her. “How else are we meant to share body heat?”
She laughed. “Is that your excuse for being naked?”
“It’s not an excuse. The sharing of body heat is more effective when naked.”
“Oh, really?” she said drolly. “You’re telling me that Sky Clan Tenakth curl up together completely naked to share warmth?”
He smirked, then huffed and rubbed his chin, and she laughed again. “You can’t even pretend to continue this joke, can you?”
“I can’t,” he admitted. “My reasons for being naked have nothing to do with the Sky Clan.” He slid under the fur blanket and gave her an expectant look. “Are you joining me?”
“Yes, yes,” she said in mock exasperation. “Just give me a minute to undress.”
“Be quick, Aloy.”
“Watch that bossy tone, big guy.”
He chuckled, and Aloy shot him a smile as she continued to strip. Then he spoke again. “Should I remove the metal arm for now?”
She glanced at him as she shuffled off her pants. “Why? Do you want to?”
“I’m indifferent,” he said. “But I don’t want the cold metal to make you uncomfortable.”
“Fair enough,” she said. “But you don’t have to remove it. Maybe just don’t touch me with it.”
“I will do my best,” he said.
His tone was neutral, but his dark eyes were crinkled at the corners with mischief, and Aloy shot him a grin while she stripped as quickly as she could. When she was finally naked, she slid under the blanket.
She quickly shuffled close to him and pressed herself against his left side, and he hummed appreciatively. “Fully naked. I respect your choice.”
“It’s a more efficient way to share body heat,” she said blithely.
He chuckled and reached over to stroke her arm. “You have goosebumps.”
“I told you, I’m cold.”
“I know of an effective way to warm you up.”
Once again, his tone was bland despite his tiny smirk, and Aloy forced herself not to laugh. “Is that so? A time-honoured Sky Clan method, I assume?”
“A method enjoyed by every clan, in fact,” he said. He rolled onto his side to face her, then propped himself up on his elbow and nuzzled her neck.
She laughed softly and smoothed her palms over his pecs. “Hang on, hang on, settle down. Let me rest up from the climb for a few minutes.”
He grumbled against her skin, then pressed a lingering kiss to her neck before laying down on his side once more. “Afraid you’ll tire out before I’m done with you?”
“Yes, actually,” she said with a smirk. “Or that I might collapse on you if my legs give out.”
His eyebrows quirked. “And what exactly would you be doing that would involve your legs giving out?”
She gave his chest a playful little thump. “I’ll show you rather than telling you when I’ve had some time to rest.”
“Mm,” he said. “I like the implicit promise in that. I will be patient and allow you the time to rest.”

NOW LETS TALK ABOUT SOME OF THE DUMB SHIT IVE DONE SO FAR
i wont list all the times i crashed my stupid truck into fences and trees and geese and that one time i drove it halfway into a river because i tried to eat and drive...
but i will tell you about the time i crashed my car into a motel. doesn't sound like the most exciting story, i know, but it's "classic lee" (which is apparently a thing according to a girl i know...) so here goes:
i had been looting a dumpsite and wasn't paying attention to the time so it was full dark around me before i even started driving back to the nearby motel i was using to rest at night while clearing the site out.
could i have turned my headlights on? sure sure... did i? nah...
i crept back to the hotel as fast as i dared drive with the lights off and made it back fine, but then i didn't want to follow the road around to the parking lot entrance because turns are boring or something dumb like that. so i tried to creep between the motel and the forest beside it only to discover when i was almost clear of the path that there was a barrier that could not be quickly moved and i couldn't go forward any further...
"i can probably maneuver a turn here," i said to myself. "how hard could it be?"
and then proceeded to not only crash my truck into the corner of the motel, but actually got it stuck so i couldn't move in any direction! i also couldn't open my door and had to swap places with one of my NPCs and go out their door instead.
well i'd modified the vehicle multiple times at this point and was loathe to leave it (and all the loot it held) behind nor did i want to run the entire way back to my base (it was genuinely far), and really none of the vehicles in the parking area could have been fixed enough to work as a replacement with what i had on hand. so naturally i started looking for a way to get the stupid truck unstuck.
what was my genius idea? oh i figured i'd just take down the walls that the truck was stuck on, making it possible to just drive away. perfect!
that is, until i took down a load-bearing wall and the ceiling collapsed on my head...
i was buried in rubble and couldn't move in any direction; it was the truck crash all over again...
LUCKILY because id been looting that dumpsite, i had an entrenching tool in my travelpack and was able to dig myself free. i was injured, but no broken bones or anything crazy, so i just slapped on some bandages, limped to my somewhat battered truck and drove it off the building, then went in the first room without a collapsed ceiling and fell asleep.
(if you were wondering, my NPCs were in the truck the whole time, but they did acknowledge the sound of me being buried alive by saying "sounds like it's goin down over there" so they clearly love me.)
