Imagine that Sturmhond reveals himself as Prince Nikolai Lantsov, but you couldn't accept it
Tumblr media
Disclaimer:
This oneshot is purely based on the Netflix series, so some of the lore might be incorrect
y/n is a female Grisha
Angst/Fluff
"Captain, are you sure that the Saint is stable enough to cross the fold?" y/n approached the captain's table and crossed her arms before him. The Volkvolny was beginning to rumble from the calling of the Fold, and as a Materialki, you weren't really fond of how the wooden planks of the ship you had invented with your Captain begun to stir.
"Y/n, how many times have I asked you to address me by Sturmhond?" The blonde and blue-eyed privateer snickered at you, leaning back against his cushioned chair and crossing his legs. You remained silent and only had a concerned look crossing your features. "Come on, then. Call me by my name then I shall answer you," he added and began beckoning you toward him.
"Alright... Sturmhond. Now answer me," you rolled your eyes. "You know how terrified I am of the Fold. If I get caught by one of the Volcra in there, I'll be demanding that you pay for my health insurance even if I'm dead,".
"I would expect no less from you," he pulled a soft smile at your direction, which almost warmed your heart - almost. You shook your head as he stood up from his chair and stood next to you.
"It'll be alright, y/n. Alina's strong enough with her amplifier. You'll be safe, I can promise you that," he muttered, casting a soft smile at you before he climbed the stairs to the upper deck.
"No doubt he's about to show off the Hummingbird," you rolled your eyes and tailed him.
Before you knew it, you were suddenly up in the air and reaching the entrance of the Fold. You looked up at the abyssal storm, growling and calling before your very eyes. Quickly turning around, you saw that only a few of the Volkvolny crew, including yourself and your captain; the Saint herself and her lover were aboard the Hummingbird.
Alina Starkov looked back at the Fold with a determined glare, while Mal's eyes were clouded with his usual protectiveness. Before you could turn to look at Sturmhond, he had already crossed the ship's deck and stood by your side, linking your arms tightly with his.
"It's going to be alright. You don't have to be scared," he mumbled in a low voice, almost to himself. You could hear the slight tremble in his voice, and you knew you weren't alone in this consuming fear - he felt the same way too.
"Sturmhond," you turned your wrists so your palms could capture his. "I trust you," you nodded once before turning back at the starless sky as darkness consumed your surrounding.
Both of you gasped, but held each other tight. The Fold was pitch black and cold - colder than the sea breeze at night. Your mind suddenly travelled to what you could do as a Grisha. You were just a Materialki - a person who could manipulate earth and steel - but, what use is that when it comes to something as powerful as the darkness?
Suddenly, a blinding white light filled your eyes and it came from the Saint.
Sturmhond's blue eyes filled with marvel and wonder, and your heart ached to see them as you realised that he could never look at you the same way he looked at Alina's beautiful sunlight. You pursed your lips and slowly attempted to loosen your grip of his hand, but it won't move a muscle.
You closed your eyes and hoped that this would end soon.
As no light could pierce your eyelids, you thought that the worst is over, but only found that Alina was gasping for air and could not summon the sunlight anymore. Mal rushed to her side to protect her from the Darkness of the Fold, while Sturmhond quickly removed your hands from his and grabbed his pistol.
You rushed to the front of the Hummingbird and placed your hands on the engine of the ship, forcing the gears to work harder so everyone could get out of the Fold quickly. Some of the crew members screamt as they were grabbed by the Volcra and fell to their death.
You panicked as one of the Volcra almost snatched you into the air, but you had quickly picked up a crowbar and shifted it into a sword before slicing it into half.
"Now, that's my lady!" Sturmhond shouted from across the deck as he continued shooting the beasts. You rolled your eyes and with your last effort, you pushed the engines to their limit before they gave out one last revolution and ceased their turning.
And all of you were so close to getting out of the Fold.
"Brace! Brace for impact!" You shouted loud enough for everyone to hear as you shut your eyes hard and focused your abilities to the front of the ship, bending the round-edged wood to become sharp-edged, so that as they land on the ground, it would pierce the dirt and lessen the damage on the Hummingbird. Sturmhond wasn't going to let it go if she had let his precious invention turn into ruin.
The ship dug into the dirt of East Ravka and slid across the grass. Everyone let out a whelp as their knees collapsed from the impact. You exhaled a large breath and wiped a sweat from your forehead. It was definitely hard to use the small sciences without looking at what you're about to change.
Tamar and Tolya were the first to cheer, while Sturmhond quickly ran over to you.
"Are you alright? You seemed to be doing a lot of work there," he spoke - and for the first time, it seemed like it was out of concern.
"Yeah, and it's all because I had to save your damn ship from falling to pieces," you groaned at him, which only received a long chuckle from him.
Out of the blue, everyone heard the marching of more than a legion of soldiers.
"What's going on?" You muttered to yourself, but your eyes held Sturmhond's.
He avoided them and only shook his head.
"Identify yourself!" The captain of the soldier commanded. The Sun Summoner seemed clearly irritated while Sturmhond grasped her shoulder with his one arm and gave it a gentle squeeze.
"I'll handle this," he said and he began to undress himself off his long, ridiculous privateer coat and he seemed to behaving a conversation with the captain. You parted your lips to ask him "Wouldn't you end up naked?", but you quickly took your words back when your eyes perceived Sturmhond wearing a green uniform gilded in golden embroidery, a uniform almost similar to those Ravkan soldiers, but it carried a higher air of command.
"It can't be," the man named Ravski gasped.
"Yes, it is," Sturmhond responded. You unbuckled your knees to get a better view of what was happening.
"Moi Tsarevich," Ravski began to kneel. "My prince,".
You gasped, while Mal and Alina passed each other confused looks.
"I present Nikolai Lantsov, Major of the 22nd Regiment, Soldier of the King's Army, Grand Duke of Udova, and Second Son to his Most Royal Majesty - King Pyotr the Third - Ruler of the Double Eagle Throne!" The captain announced with a spirited voice, while Sturmhond - now Nikolai pulled a smug look across his face.
You couldn't believe your eyes that the man in which you had spent years with was in fact, the estranged Prince of Ravka himself. Your lips quivered as memories came flooding back to you, but you knew that you couldn't cause a scene.
The prince had already been enjoying himself too much.
~•~
Everyone had reached the Stronghold (or moreso like a base) where Grisha who opposed against the Darkling and survivors of East Ravka remained. You spotted Zoya, someone who had always taught you the meaning of hard life back at the Little Palace - greeting Alina Starkov like old friends.
You clenched your fists and held back your tears. Once again, you were a stranger to everyone around you. The only person that you could become yourself was now gone too.
"One week," you took a deep breath in your personal quarters, which was very much far away from Alina and Nikolai's - given your status as a Materialki Grisha. Even Tolya and Tamar's rooms were closer to the Prince's. "Hold on for one week and we shall see," you swallowed the fear in your throat.
Your y/e/c shifted to your modest bed and you laid yourself there - hoping that your memories won't haunt you at night. Everyone was in a meeting to discuss their next move against the Darkling, but you weren't included - as expected.
That night, you recalled the memories from a time long forgotten of you, your brothers and sisters which were called upon to the Little Palace and serve as the Second Army for the Tsar. You shared their excitement when all of you had found out that you were Grisha. Your twin sisters were prodigal Heartrenders like Tamar and Tolya, while your eldest brother was an Inferni and your younger brother was a Squaller. Everyone was suited for battle and talented - but not you.
You were just a plain Materialki - a Durast who was weak and could not bend swords or bullets quickly enough to save your life. And so, you were never ordered to Battle like your siblings since even the Darkling did not acknowledge your abilities.
One day, the Tsar ordered his princes to enter and cross the Fold for a diplomatic mission on west Ravka. Something happened when they were on their way back, and they had to kill as much Volcra as possible along with only a few of the Second Army Soldiers escorting them - with the Heartrenders being your own two sisters and ome of the squallers your younger brother. Almost none survived, with the exception of his princes, as it seemed.
You and your eldest brother grieved their death, and sent many personal letters to both the Darkling and the King, requesting for the return of the bodies of your fallen siblings. However, both of them rejected your requests, giving an excuse that their main priority was to search for the Second Prince - none other than Nikolai Lantsov, instead of bringing their bodies home.
You and your brother were devastated, and he was suddenly being called upon to fight at the Fjerdan borders. You had tried your best to make an armor for him, in which no bullet should be able to pass through - and it worked - only if it hadn't been for the Fjerdans to cut off his head when your brother was wounded.
Distressed, you crossed the the Fold from East to West Ravka by yourself with an invention you had so carelessly made, as an effort to hopefully let the Saints decide your fate in the abyss. And you could have died, if your wounded self wasn't discovered by Sturmhond.
You woke up silently with your eyes brimming in tears. Your siblings' lack of proper burial, Sturmhond's deceit, and your uselessness as a Durast was all too much for you. The very thought of being under the roof of the man which had both killed and saved your life was something your heart could not handle anymore.
You had to leave.
Its not like anyone would realise nor dread your absence.
Wiping the silent and hot tears pouring out of your eyes, you began to pack some clean clothes into your knapsack, a pair of daggers, a map of Ravka, money, food and water. There wasn't much to pack anyway. You put on a cloak and blew out your candle before you opened your door.
"Captain-!" You exclaimed as the blonde and blue-eyed man which had been by your side for years suddenly showed up in front of you with his hands up, and hand balled into a fist, as if he wanted to knock on your door.
"Y/n, you're awake!" He gasped and pulled a cheesy smile. "I guess you've been around me for too long until you could sense me from far away, then?" He chuckled. Slowly observing his formal attire, it was obvious that he had just finished his meeting.
"You're incredibly loud with everything you do, that's how I know," You pursed your lips and forced a smile.
He nodded and began to peek around your pitch black room, past your shoulders. "Your quarters are very dark now, aren't they?" He commented.
"I was sleeping, Capta-I mean, uhm, moi Tsarevich," and you kept a distance away from him as you recalled that the man before you was ranks higher above yours.
"You were asleep with your travelling cloak?" He raised a playful brow.
"You shouldn't be here. Just go to sleep, my prince. You look tired after the meeting,".
"About that," the prince pushed your arm which was blocking the way into your room and lit a match. He searched for your candle for a second and lit it up. "I wanted to talk to you about what happened... earlier," he muttered and his bright eyes searched your room.
"There's nothing to talk about-,".
"Saints, why did they give you such an empty room? There's barely anything in here!" He jumped and began going through your old cupboard. You sighed and closed your eyes, not knowing how to properly deal with the man.
"My prince, you're no longer Sturmhond. Its improper for you to act in this manner. I beg of you, please remove yourself from my quarters," your heart was beginning to ache, but he was seemingly avoiding your words as he continued rambling around.
"The only thing here as stuffed as the king is your-," and his eyes paused at your knapsack. "Why is it packed, y/n? Where are you going?".
"Its none of your concern, my prince," You could not brave yourself to look into his eyes.
"Saints, just call me Nikolai, y/n,".
"How can I just call you Nikolai Lantsov when you've been my Captain and Sturmhond to me?" You snapped as irritation overwhelmed you.
"You don't understand, Nikolai - you're a prince. I'm just a deserter of the Second Army and we're not equals anymore,".
"Come on, you know that I don't think of you that way-,".
"Either way, you can't stop me from leaving," your voice trembled.
Nikolai suddenly crossed his arms and he passed a stern glare at you, a look you had rarely seen him equip himself with. In that moment, you realised that he truly was a Prince - not just any foolish prince like his brother, but a man of command, a man who you could have followed anywhere, even to the edge of the world - if it hadn't been for yourself.
"You can't leave. I forbid you," he stated with his sudden cold blue eyes fixed upon you.
"You have no right to give orders to me," You took a few steps toward him, almost challenging his command.
"You can't leave," Nikolai breathed, voice softening as he slowly closed the distance between the two of you.
"I have no place here - by your side, as a soldier in this war you've involved yourself with. I'm a lesser Durast compared to the ones you've got here-,".
"No one's ever said that to you," Nikolai's hand reached your arm, almost grasping it to not let you go.
"No one needed to say it. I couldn't save my brother because of it. What makes you think that I could save you when you need my help?" your face went hot as you realised how close the both of you were to each other. That panicked heartbeat of yours thundered against your chest and you were worried if he could hear it.
"We made our ship together, y/n. You helped me with my inventions, made it ours and saved me, countless of times during our raids-," he pulled a bittersweet smile as he recalled his days together with you as a privateer.
"Nikolai," your hand instinctively reached his cheek, and he leaned into your touch - blue eyes glowing with a desperate blaze. "Those days are now over. You're a Ravkan Prince and you must let go of things that do not matter anymore - like me,".
He took in a sharp breath and refused to look into your eyes for the first time.
It was true that you had to leave him because there was no chance that the both of you could live peacefully together, sailing away with hopes of building a family together - free from any danger. That was your dream, and not his. Nikolai had always been ambitious, despite his foolhardy efforts to make him appear the opposite.
When he remained silent, you passed by his shoulder and grabbed your knapsack. You crossed your room and to your door, before hesistating to reach for the doorknob. Turning back to him one last time, you stretched a soft and genuine smile of fond farewell to Nikolai.
"Farewell, moi Sobachka. If the Saints would allow it, we'll meet again," you muttered and closed the door behind you as you left.
Nikolai stared at the still door, breathless and heart aching. His heart was heavy, but he understood why you had to leave. With his final breath within your presence, he breathed:
"I love you,".

THE WEASLEYS’ FLYING CAR LET OUT A distant honk that broke the quiet of the woodland night. It drew your gaze off the several critters that chittered in annoyance as you set your sights on the sudden brightness from the other side of your window.
For two months—two months too long, Harry Potter had given you and everyone else no sign of life. He had yet to reply to any of the mountains of letters you, Ron, and Hermione had sent over the eight weeks that had passed.
That day at King’s Cross Station, he had asked everyone to keep in touch over the summer, that everyone (he not-so-subtly turned specifically to you, Hermione and Ron affirmed upon exchanging a silent gaze) remember to send their owls and exchange letters about everything and nothing at all. And that had been exactly what you did—that was the case for three of you, at least.
At first, golden boy’s silence had been, what you believed, was but a delay of Hedwig’s travel. Godric knows that poor owl would lack nutrition in a madhouse like the Dursleys. But as weeks, and eventually, months went by, all three of you had grown all the more concerned, eventually evoking this ingenious escapade.
“You have got to be joking!” you breathed, jaw slack in awe as you tugged your window open. “Please tell me at least one of you has a clue about what you’re doing. . .”
The redheads simply grinned, exchanging a humorous look between them, as though a joke had been told and you were the only one who lacked its context. Ron was leaning out of the back window of the old turquoise blue car, which was parked in midair.
“Stupid question,” he scoffed in amusement. “We wouldn’t be here if we didn’t, now would we?” His tone was almost incredulous as you stared at the three brothers, eyes blown wide and locks going a shade of bright blue and lilac.
The near-silent squeaks from the top of your head drew everyone’s attention to the little bowtruckle that had climbed from its original place on your shoulder. “Oh, ‘ello Bowie!”
The said creature only chittered angrily. Unlike your puffskein and that troublesome owl, Hermes, Bowie hadn’t been as pleased with the thought of sharing you. Having been present from when you were but a babe wrapped in blankets and to this day, stood in a sweater and trousers before the open windowsill, he has grown in your company and become an extension of you; leaving your side for Hogwarts had not been a choice, as he snuck into your pockets, just as he had every time you left the cottage.
“I was under the impression that we’d be flying there—”
“Exactly what we’re doing—” The twin sat in the driver’s seat (you believed it to be Fred) interjected dumbly.
“I meant on our brooms, you idiots!”
To that, they exchanged a baffled glance. To think they wondered how you’d known about their illegal flying contraption.
“Never you mind,” Ron shook his head, “Now come on! We’re burning moonlight!”
You only gazed at them for a moment more. It was an astonishing, and admittedly impressive sight. Without a thought of self-preservation, you climbed aboard the flying contraption, not a care in the world for the ground that promised great risk fifteen feet below you.
As the car took off and you glanced to where your father stood, waving you goodbye, you couldn’t help but fear that this would be the last you would see such a sight. While you trusted your friends deeply, you hadn’t a clue if your life was truly all that safe in their fumbling hands.
“You wouldn’t happen to have some form of insurance, would you?” you gazed at Ron’s elder twin brothers, who grinned at you from over their shoulders. “And what the bloody hell is that supposed to be, little Miss Mood Ring?”
To that, you could only sigh, gazing down with pursed lips as Bowie moved to hide within your sweater’s pocket.
This was going to be a particularly long night.
Time passed rather quickly for the four Gryffindors, blanketed from Muggle eyes by the car’s invisibility feature.
Meanwhile, at number four, Privet Drive, Harry Potter dreamed he was on show, in a zoo, with a card reading ‘UNDERAGE WIZARD’ attached to his cage. People goggled through the bars at him as he lay, starving and weak, on a bed of straw. He saw Dobby, the house elf from earlier in the crowd, and shouted out, asking for help, but Dobby called, “Harry Potter is safer there, sir!” and vanished. Then, he saw you, effortlessly pretty with your bowtruckle atop your head as always, gliding through the crowd unbothered, clueless of his struggle. He wanted to call out to you, beg for you to save him, when the Dursleys appeared and Dudley rattled the bars of the cage, mocking his pleas.
“Stop it,” Harry muttered as the rattling pounded in his sore head. “Leave me alone. . . cut it out. . . Please. . .” your name spilled his lips as he muttered in his sleep.
Suddenly, he opened his eyes. Moonlight was shining through the bars on his window. And someone—rather, a pair of familiar faces were giggling through the bars at him: a freckle-faced, red-haired, long-nosed someone alongside the very face he had subconsciously conjured and yearned to see again.
Ron Weasley and [Y/N] Black-Lupin were outside Harry’s window.

Rocking to pay the dues
"We were scanning the cities, rocking to pay the dues. But besides of the glamor, all we got was bruised." - Ghost
Vash and Wolfwood find a moment's rest in their hotel room, though peace may not be in store for one of them...
Based off of a prompt list I found on Twitter (if I ever find the post again, I'll link it properly)
Prompt was #69: "If you interrupt me one more time, so help me God-"
✨BEAUTIFUL✨ Punisher rosary photo from this post !!
Idk where our insurance girls are, probably trying to track down this ambiguous duo bc they slipped away yet again

The rough pad of Wolfwood's thumb brushed over his rosary beads, his lips moving without sound as he prayed in silence. Every prayer, every call to faith was represented by each bead he passed over.
"Wolfwood~ What cha doing?"
The priest sighed, looking over his shoulder at the only other occupant in the hotel room.
Vash sat on his sorry excuse for a twin bed, watching his traveling companion with those too bright eyes. Against the muted designs of the room and linens, the blonde's color was bold and almost out of place in this space devoid of life. Another dusty room in the middle of nowhere, but it was a helluva lot better than trying to get cozy up against the least craggy of rocks.
Wolfwood, in his own twin bed, narrowed his eyes at the Humanoid Typhoon because it was very obvious what he was doing. "Why don't ya catch some shut eye before sunrise, eh Needle Noggin?" he answered instead, watching for a moment as the blonde pouted before turning back to his prayers.
He needed to start over again, it was only proper.
Shifting the beaded necklace in his hand, he grazed his thumb over the cross, committing to the Apostles' Creed, before moving up to give devotion to Our Father. The three Hail Mary's that followed were like second nature to him, and the tip of his thumb settled into the Glory Be just as a shifting to his left divided his attention.
"Wolfwood... I'm hungry~"
Nicholas turned to face his roommate, his features devoid of any kindness. "Spikey... You're a big boy, I'm sure you can manage to find a meal all on your own. I'm busy right now." His last words were pointed, not quite an accusation but certainly a warning.
Vash glowered at his friend, sulking because he wasn't given the answer he wanted. Wolfwood, who was used to dealing with children and their bratty behaviors, turned away and purposefully ignored the man who was getting on his nerves. Beginning again at the Apostles' Creed, he had barely moved up to the next prayer when he felt a tug at his sleeve.
"Wolfwood, I'm going down to get some food, do you want anything?"
"Tongari, if you interrupt me one more time, so help me God-"
The independent plant backed away, hands up in the air in a placating gesture. "Alright, alright, geez~ No need to get so grumpy..." he mumbled, sulking as he shrugged on his red coat.
The assassin sighed, finally feeling as if he was going to get some well earned peace. The tip of his thumb ran down the edges of his cross, not quite praying but just something to occupy himself as Vash bustled out of the room.
When the door clicked shut behind the older man, Wolfwood closed his eyes and bowed his head, his thumb sliding over the cross for the fourth time. "Our Father who art in Heaven, hollowed be Thy name, Thy kingdom come-"
The door swung open. "Hey Wolfwood, do you- AH!"
Wolfwood grabbed his pillow and hurled it at the door with such force, that it exploded into a cloud of Toma feathers, and even left a dent in the wooden panels.
"RUDE!" Vash shouted from behind the closed door, before stomping off in a huff down the hall.
The assassin stalked over to the blonde's bed, grabbing his companion's pillow and settling back down onto his own mattress. If the plant issued a complaint about Wolfwood stealing his pillow, the priest would just have to suffocate him with it. Maybe then he could finally pray in peace.

In Your Heart
Jake Kizka x fem reader
Chapter 2: The Meeting
Tumblr media
You roll over in the bed expecting to find David sleeping, but instead a ray of sun hits your eyes and you flinch back away from it. Checking your phone, it's a little after noon. David left for work hours ago. His career couldn't be any more different from yours, but you manage to make it work. Sales. That was his business. He worked selling insurance policies to large corporations. He'd approached you at a bar in town two years ago and the rest is history.
Yawning, you starfish out on the mattress stretching your limbs and sinking back into the covers. David would be back around 5. Until then you have the condo to yourself.
When you roll over intending to go back to sleep, your phone buzzes. Groaning, you sit up fully and check your phone. An unfamiliar number lights up the screen and you answer. Your voice is heavy and you croak out a "Hello?"
"(Y/n)?" A low voice asks.
"Jake?" How did he get your number?
"Yes, I'm glad I caught you. I've got a friend at the studio that heard you play last night and wants to meet you." He says quickly and you hear other voices on his end.
"Like a personal friend or an important friend?" You can't keep the interest out of your voice.
"It's a good opportunity for you, we'll just say that. Be here at 4:30. Don't be late." He said and hung up.
You toss your phone back down onto the covers. Mind racing, you cross to the closet. After a few minutes it's painfully obvious you don't have anything remotely appropriate for an important meeting. Aren't you supposed to wear nice clothes to these kinds of things? Everything in your closet is intended to be honky tonk appropriate. Grumbling at your lacking wardrobe, you decide to shower and then figure out what to wear.
The hot water washes away the bewilderment you feel and leaves behind excitement. You wouldn't ask a friend for a favor in the industry, you have definitely always wanted to find your own way. But if someone can facilitate an in? There's no harm in that right? But no, you aren't going to get your hopes up yet. Chances are you'll be back in that bar tomorrow night getting ready for the same show. Just breathe.
You see that Josh (whose number you did already have) has texted you an address. You like the message and toss the phone back on the bed. By the time you've figured out what to wear it's 4pm. You've settled on a high neck knit dress in a dark grey. It's not ideal but it'll do. You know you can play in it if need be, and it goes with your most comfortable pair of boots. By the time the outfit is on, the hair and the face are done, and the Uber is ordered, you only have 5 minutes to get there.
Luckily, it's not far and your Uber driver is traveling at breakneck speed. As you screech to a halt, you realize what this building is. RCA Studio. It shouldn't be a surprise to you. Josh has mentioned before that they record here but it didn't even cross your mind when he sent the address. The facade is unremarkable, but some of the best music in the world has been produced here. Next to them is the man they were with at the bar the night before. As you step into the foyer Josh pulls you in for a tight hug and Jake smiles easily at you.
"Y/n, this is Toby Danzig. He's the exec in charge of A/R for the label." Jake says gesturing towards the man.
"Very nice to meet you Toby. I saw you at my set last night." You say politely as you shake the man's hand. His grip is firm and his icy blue eyes are studying you closely.
"Come on in and we'll talk about what I need from you." Toby said with a friendly sort of authority.
....
You can't believe that you're having possibly the biggest meeting of your music career thus far inside of RCA Studio B. The lights are dim and the large room is littered with instruments, mics, and other equipment. Toby plops down into a dark wooden chair and gestures for you to sit down across from him. The twins settle in at the piano and resume whatever work they must've been doing before you arrived.
"I'm A/R for the studio here. Jake over there recommended you to me when I went to him looking for a guitarist. An all female folk rock group called 'Wolfsbane' is getting off the ground and needs a decent guitarist. I agreed to sign them on if I could replace their guitarist." He speaks so fast you barely comprehend what he's saying.
You? They want you to sign on as a lead guitarist? This is what you've always dreamed of but its almost so outlandish you can't believe it. This is what everyone in Nashville wants and its fallen into your lap.
"Wait, what?" you stutter, "You mean to tell me that A) You want me?  and B) This group is just letting you replace their guitarist?"
He nods in ascent, "Exactly. The girl's got a serious drug problem and needs rehab. They were looking for a good way to push her out and I make a good villain."
"I'm not trying to talk you out of this but-"
"No buts. These two over here say you're the best in town. I don't do less than the best." The boys are moving over toward the two of you.
"What have you decided?" Jake asks straddling one of the chairs and resting his chin on his hands. His eyes scan your face, reading the shock plastered all over it.
With a flourish, his brother approaches and says "Yess it's time you follow us into fame and fortune. Both of us hail from the same humble beginnings after all."
A troubling thought crosses your mind.
"So there's not going to be any bad blood between me and the rest of the band?" you ask apprehensively.
"Trust me, I know there won't be." Toby's voice has a slightly mischievous quality now. Like he knows something you don't. But this opportunity is just too good to pass up.
"You know what. Fuck it. I'll do it." you say, not even comprehending how much your life is about to change.
.
.
.
.
.
You've just finished the second chapter! Thank you to anyone who's reading! There's going to be a little bit of a time jump, and that's when we'll get into the meat of the story!

How the Heart Learns to Beat Again
Chapter 2 Preview:
Emilie flung open the wardrobe doors. There was the loud sound of someone opening a suitcase and ploughing through it. She shut the door, a hairbrush in hand, and pulled up a chair at the table. Seated beside Nathalie, she began brushing out her wet hair. The movement of her arm was mesmeric. Gabriel poured her a glass of wine, then sat with them.
‘I don’t suppose you’ve told her why we’re here,’ Emilie said.
Gabriel shook his head and handed her the glass. ‘I thought you’d want to do it together.’
‘I do.’ She took a long sip of the wine, then leaned back in the chair, closing her eyes a moment before opening them and pinning that green stare on their guest. ‘I suppose you’re wondering why a pair like us travelled all the way from Paris just to hunt you down.’
‘It…had crossed my mind,’ Nathalie said. ‘I assume this is some sort of fetish job. A wealthy couple who can get anything they want – sights set on some rare artefact to keep in your personal collection and insure for more than most people would spend in an entire lifetime.’
Another look was exchanged, telling her she was wrong. Whatever they wanted, it wasn’t about the money. She thought back to what Emilie had said about a phone call. In this weather, there was no mobile reception. The only phone in the hotel was an old-fashioned payphone downstairs, outside the entrance. You had to be desperate to use it at a time like this.
Who is Adrien?
Emilie’s gaze was lazy and…seductive? Was that the right word for it? It wasn’t that Nathalie wanted to sleep with her, but there was something persuasive about that look. Something that made her want to give into whatever Emilie suggested.
She glanced back at the girdle, still on the table.
‘We don’t seek more riches,’ Emilie said. ‘We’re not interested in fame or notoriety, either. And this isn’t thrill-seeking. We also don’t wish to become gods, so please, I beg of you: put all such preconceptions out of your mind when I explain what we’re looking for.’
She caressed the rim of her wine glass, eyeing Nathalie under her long, thick eyelashes. As dominating as Gabriel was, Emilie seemed to hold the power here.
‘…okay,’ said Nathalie, hypnotised by the motion of the woman’s finger. ‘What do you seek?’
‘Initially? Immortality – but not for us.’
Nathalie stifled back a laugh. ‘That’s it? Immortality?’
‘But not for us,’ Emilie repeated. ‘Failing that…the power to overcome death. And failing that…the power to undo death.’
‘Oh, of course. Because no human has ever tried for any of that and failed in the most morbid way imaginable.’
‘But we won’t fail,’ Emilie said. There was not the slightest trace of doubt in her voice, not a tremor or pause. She held herself with such poise, as well, her chin up high. Her confidence was a magnetic field reaching out and grabbing Nathalie until she believed they would succeed. If anyone could, it would be them and only them.
‘Who’s dying? Is it Adrien?’ she asked, satisfied when she heard Gabriel’s sharp intake of breath.
But Emilie never wavered. ‘I knew we couldn’t pull one over on you.’ She rewarded Nathalie with a smile, and hell, if that didn’t make something in Nathalie’s chest open, as though she had never known how to breathe until now. ‘You are correct. Adrien – our son – has been diagnosed with a rare blood disease. The doctors say we only have a handful of months left with him.’
‘And you’re spending them here with me, instead of savouring every precious moment you have left with your child?’
It was Gabriel who replied – snapped, more like, his blue eyes suddenly like ice, freezing her on the spot. ‘We are not abandoning our child, if that’s what you mean. Until you have sat at your child’s bedside, watching him waste away a little more each day, powerless in the face of biology, you know nothing of what we have gone through. We are not wasting time. We were wasting time by remaining with him and doing nothing.’
He was breathing hard, his chest heaving and hands trembling around his glass, which he now set down, perhaps worried he might throw it across the room and smash it against a wall – or maybe throw it at her. His stare remained on her, locking her in her chair and sealing her throat from bringing up any words of reply.
And yet, he was beautiful in his rage. Somewhere in the world, her father may still be out there, feeling nothing of what Gabriel felt for his child. Once, she’d had a mother who felt none of this, either.
Keep reading at Ao3
After years of adventuring, recovering lost mythical treasures from every ancient culture ever known, Nathalie meets the man and woman who will change her life forever. A backstory covering the recovery of the miraculous, Adrien’s creation, Emilie’s passing, and Nathalie’s point of view on the events of the show.

Tips To Buy Health Insurance In St. Petersburg and Bradenton, FL
Buying the right insurance policy that provides low-cost yet effective coverage can be an ordeal for most people. Thankfully, Florida Blue Insurance in Fort Myers and Sarasota, FL, meets the objectives on almost all counts and ensures user satisfaction. It suffices to know that Florida Blue is provided by companies serving as licensees of the age-old and hugely popular Blue Cross Blue Shield Association. Multiple insurance companies are operating across the state of Florida, but Florida Blue is considered to be the right fit for a majority of citizens for the following reasons: -
1. Flexibility of Plans- An individual looking for the best health care insurance policy will not be disappointed with Florida Blue either. Every individual needs to obtain the best possible treatment and preventive health care as needed, but finding a policy that meets budgetary requirements is not always possible. Fortunately, the insurance-seeking individual can find the right fit, ranging from plans that do not include high out-of-pocket costs to plans with a high deductible and low premium payments.
2. Multiple Networks- There is no shortage of doctors, specialists, or medical facilities catering to insured individuals in Florida. Quality care is thus ensured regardless of the concerned person’s physical location. This makes it convenient for the insured person to receive the proper care without the need to travel to a more extensive facility in the state.
3. Preventive Care—A little precaution can go a long way in ensuring good health. The individual belonging to the Florida Blue community can receive multiple types of preventive care as needed. From screening for health conditions to getting the proper vaccinations in time and routine checkups, the insurance plan provides financial support for all preventive care, thus reducing the possibility of developing serious problems in the future.
4. Wellness- The members of Florida Blue are well-equipped with easy plans that make them stay fit and healthy. The plans may include proper nutritional consultation, therapies, exercise, and health coaching. Educational materials are also provided cheaply to keep the members informed about cholesterol and weight management. Reducing stress and anxiety, along with facts about developing diabetes and pre-diabetes, are included in such programs as well.
5. Health Savings Accounts (HSAs)—Florida Blue members who choose high-deductible plans can expect to save money on healthcare costs by using Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) that allow them to obtain tax deductions on specific medical expenses.
Florida Blue Insurance is considered one of the best health insurance providers in the nation today. Its efficacy ensures that most members renew their policies for various reasons. Nationwide access to healthcare facilities via the Blue Cross Blue Shield umbrella makes it one of the most trusted insurance companies.
It is important to check the pros and cons of each provider before deciding on a particular health insurance policy in St. Petersburg and Bradenton, FL. Getting the right coverage at affordable rates and preventing unexpected expenses are aspects to consider when buying the right healthcare insurance policy.

2024 Week 36 Notes: Planners Gotta Plan
Tumblr media
The new 2024-25 COVID vaccines are available, so FunkyPlaid and I got ours on Friday. Because we went to a pharmacy, my health insurance didn’t cover them, so I had to use funds from my HRA. (We could have waited until our medical provider had appointments, but that would have been late September or early October — and with travel coming up soon, I was unwilling to wait.)
It is bizarre and enraging to see how agencies supposedly dedicated to public health are flailing in this moment. I’m extremely fortunate to have a job that provides health insurance, an HRA, and sick leave, and I can afford KN95 masks and rapid antigen tests. What about people who are uninsured or underinsured?
I know it’s a bummer to read this, but it’s a bigger bummer to try to survive during yet another COVID surge. Let’s take care of our health, for ourselves and for our communities.
Concentrating on
This time of year is Planner Season, when the 2025 planners are released and people like me (and maybe you too) gobble them up and then spend the rest of this year hoping that next year we have lives exciting enough to plan.
Ever the optimist, my planner line-up for 2025 is:
For my personal planner, daily log, habit tracker, reading journal, and commonplace book, I’ll be trying the Sterling Ink Common Planner in their new N1 size, which fits inside a Traveler’s Notebook. I’m currently using a Hobonichi Weeks, which is 95mm x 186mm; the N1 size is 110mm x 210mm.
For my work planner, the Wonderland 222 A5 Weekly Planner has been working well for me this year, so I’ll try it again in 2025.
Cultivating
✍🏻 Drafting two stories, one for performance (I hope 🤞🏻) and one for a collection.
🧶 Still knitting that gift for someone.
🥘 Food I made that was yummy:
Peperonata with peppers from a coworker’s CSA box, plus peppers from our own CSA box. CSA boxes are great!
Gluten-free vegan apple crisp. I am not a huge fan of apples in their primary form; I prefer them as a cinnamon delivery device. So this recipe from Minimalist Baker, apples chopped up and baked with oats and sugar? That works.
Sliced heirloom tomatoes on toast spread thinly with mayonnaise. Truffle salt if you’re feeling fancy. (I was.)
🇮🇹 Learning Italian with Duolingo.
💼 The workweek was short because of the holiday on Monday, but also long because of everything. I’m still trying to create better boundaries around that.
Consuming
🖋️ One of my planner pals shared a sample of Bungukan Kobayashi’s Yagentoshiro Reflex Violet, a dusky blue with iridescent purple shimmer.
🎧 “girlfriend” by Hemlocke Springs is on repeat on my brain radio.
🎙 You don’t need to be a Rolling Stones fan to enjoy the “I Can’t Get No Legal Action” episode of the Judge John Hodgman podcast.
🎲 Still working my way through the crossword puzzle books I’ve hoarded and enjoying the daily Cross|word on Puzzmo. Also, Minute Cryptic is quite humbling.
📺 One last episode of “Fargo” to go, then we’ll start the latest season of “Slow Horses”.
📚 What I’m reading and quoting:
“The Mountain in the Sea” by Ray Nayler: “The great and terrible thing about humankind is simply this: we will always do what we are capable of.”

From “What would an adequate COVID response look like?” by Julia Doubleday:
Right now, state representatives are deliberately avoiding mention of COVID, while propagandizing the safety of infection and/or the end of the pandemic by refusing to mask. It is hard to imagine how successful a pandemic response might be if public officials were actually trying to end the pandemic. We quite literally have public health and political and media figures working to hide three pieces of critical information: public knowledge of the virus, public knowledge of mitigation measures that would reduce viral spread, and public knowledge of the severity of the virus (which would motivate desire to reduce viral spread).

Crossing the Border: San Diego Airport to Tijuana Airport Transportation Guide
San Diego, a vibrant city on the southern coast of California, shares a border with Tijuana, Mexico. This unique geographical proximity has made it increasingly common for travelers to cross the border between the two cities, whether for business or leisure. Both San Diego International Airport (SAN) and Tijuana International Airport (TIJ) serve as entry points for these travelers. Navigating the transportation options between these two airports can be a seamless or somewhat complicated endeavor, depending on your familiarity with the region and the options available. In this comprehensive guide, we will explore various transportation methods and provide insights to help you plan your journey from San Diego Airport to Tijuana Airport efficiently.
Tumblr media
Public Transportation:
Trolley Service: San Diego's Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) operates the San Diego Trolley, a light rail system that connects San Diego to the border with Tijuana. You can catch the Blue Line trolley from the San Diego Airport Terminal 1 Station, which is a short walk from the airport. This trolley takes you to the San Ysidro Transit Center, which is close to the U.S.-Mexico border. From there, you can walk across the border into Tijuana. The trolley system is a cost-effective option and is especially convenient if you're traveling light.
Bus Services: Several bus companies operate routes from San Diego to Tijuana. The most notable one is the Cross Border Xpress (CBX) bus. This service is located near San Diego Airport and offers a direct connection to the Tijuana Airport. It's a convenient option if you want a hassle-free transfer between the two airports. Additionally, the CBX bus service includes a pedestrian border crossing, which can save you time and simplify the border-crossing process.
Private Shuttles:
Numerous private shuttle services are available for travelers looking for a more comfortable and direct option to get from San Diego Airport to Tijuana Airport. These shuttles can be pre-booked and provide door-to-door service. They are particularly convenient for individuals or groups with a significant amount of luggage or those who value privacy and a hassle-free experience. While shuttle services come at a cost, the convenience and comfort they offer can be well worth it.
Rental Cars:
Renting a car is a viable option if you prefer the flexibility to explore the region at your own pace. Rental car agencies have offices at both San Diego and Tijuana airports, making it easy to pick up and drop off your vehicle. Keep in mind that you will need to be familiar with border-crossing procedures and any insurance requirements when taking a rental car across the border. Additionally, be aware of potential wait times at the border, which can vary.
Conclusion:
In conclusion, traveling from San Diego Airport to Tijuana Airport can be a relatively straightforward process if you choose the right transportation option based on your preferences and needs. Public transportation, such as the trolley and bus services, offers cost-effective and direct routes but may require some walking and border-crossing procedures. Private shuttles provide a convenient and comfortable door-to-door experience, while rental cars offer flexibility and independence but come with potential border-crossing complexities. The choice ultimately depends on your specific circumstances, including your budget, schedule, and the level of comfort and convenience you desire for your journey between these two vibrant cities.

The Ultimate Travel Guide to the USA: Exploring the Land of Dreams
Tumblr media
The United States of America, a land of diversity and dreams, boasts a multitude of experiences for every type of traveler. From bustling metropolises to serene small towns, from epic road trips to breathtaking natural wonders, the USA offers an adventure like no other. Before embarking on this journey of a lifetime, a little preparation can go a long way in ensuring a smooth and memorable experience.
Preparing for Your American Adventure: Visa and Required Documents
Before you set foot on American soil, it's crucial to ensure you have all the necessary paperwork in order. For most international travelers, obtaining a tourist visa (B-2 visa) is a must. The application process typically involves filling out forms, providing proof of sufficient funds, and demonstrating the intent to return to your home country. The U.S. Department of State's official website is a valuable resource for visa application guidelines and requirements. Don't forget to carry your valid passport, confirmed flight itinerary, and any other documents requested by the consulate.
Unveiling the Must-Visit Destinations
The USA is a vast country with a myriad of attractions. Begin your journey in iconic cities like New York City, where you can witness the dazzling Times Square and marvel at the Statue of Liberty. Explore the historic streets of Boston and walk the iconic Freedom Trail. Experience the glamour of Hollywood in Los Angeles and take a scenic drive along the Pacific Coast Highway.
Small Town Charms and Hidden Gems
While the big cities capture the limelight, the small towns of the USA offer an entirely different kind of magic. Head to Sedona, Arizona, for its enchanting red rock formations and New England's Salem for a taste of colonial history. Charleston, South Carolina, with its cobblestone streets and antebellum architecture, is a true Southern gem. These towns provide an intimate glimpse into American culture and traditions.
Wheels or Rails: Navigating the American Terrain
Deciding between a personal vehicle or public transport depends on your itinerary. For an epic cross-country adventure, a road trip offers the freedom to explore at your own pace. Imagine cruising along the iconic Route 66 or winding through the stunning landscapes of the Blue Ridge Parkway. On the other hand, major cities have well-connected public transportation systems that make hopping between attractions a breeze.
Budget-Friendly Stays: Couchsurfing and Cheap Hotels
Traveling on a budget? Consider couchsurfing for a unique cultural exchange with locals. Websites like Couchsurfing.com allow you to connect with hosts willing to offer you a couch or spare room, giving you insights into authentic American life. Alternatively, if you prefer more privacy, budget-friendly motels and hostels are abundant and can be easily booked online.
Hitting the Open Road: Renting a Vehicle as a Tourist
Renting a car as a tourist is relatively straightforward in the USA. Most major car rental companies have branches at airports and city centers. Requirements usually include a valid driver's license from your home country, a credit card, and an age requirement (typically 21 or 25, depending on the rental company). Be sure to understand the insurance coverage offered and consider additional insurance if needed.
Nature's Call: Tracking and Solo Camping Havens
For nature enthusiasts and adventurers, the USA's national parks provide an unparalleled playground. Witness the grandeur of the Grand Canyon, hike the trails of Yellowstone, or marvel at the giant sequoias in Yosemite. Many national parks offer camping facilities, allowing you to immerse yourself fully in the natural beauty. Remember to follow park guidelines, pack responsibly, and prioritize safety.
Driving Beyond Borders: Obtaining an International Driving Permit (IDP) in the USA
Planning to do more than just explore the cities? An International Driving License USA (IDP) might be necessary. While many states allow tourists to drive with a valid foreign driver's license, an International Driving Permit USA IDP can provide an added layer of convenience and understanding for law enforcement officers. You can apply for an IDP in your home country before your trip. This document translates your native license into multiple languages, making it easier to communicate with authorities while on the road.
Embark on Your American Odyssey
The United States offers a tapestry of experiences, from iconic cityscapes to serene natural wonders. With proper preparation, an adventurous spirit, and a willingness to embrace the diverse culture, your journey through the USA will undoubtedly become a cherished memory that you'll carry with you wherever you go. So, get ready to explore the land of dreams and embark on an unforgettable American odyssey!

Journal Entry #75 - Happy Independence Day....Simply Talking
JOURNAL ENTRY #75 Name: Manley M Collins Social Security Number: 5 7 9 – * * – 6 5 4 1 Date of Birth: 06/21 Place of Birth: Washington, District of Columbia Country of Birth: United States of America Date: July 4, 2023
TOPIC: Happy Independence Day…Just Simply Talking
Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination (MCAD) with SplitSpot and Pine Street Inn is in the appeals process. For some odd reason, I am telling them racism and discrimination during and after the end result of any situation. I am telling before applying for services and jobs, and now no one is hiring or accepting me for housing for telling before. What is the importance of Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination? Just like Southampton, what is the importance of Boston Public Health Commission?
Street money donations to me went to Boston Public Library (BPL), Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
I obtained my Zumba certification and started practicing plus putting videos on YouTube. I have joined the important Zumba groups. I got my first education course Cueing Like A Pro for free. My first instructor class was in Foxboro, Massachusetts at Fit Factory. It was fun and I was the only African (Cameroonian)-American male in the class. The photo is on my photostreams. Zumba did let me know I am independent contractor while doing classes. Along with my fitness coach interview from OrangeTheory, I received the inside track of how much personal trainers and group fitness instructors are paid per hour. I will be working a lot. I toured a space using Peerspace to host my first class. I am debating whether to go back to the Hartford Business Insurance or try K and K business insurance for the first time.
I am working with Massachusetts Vocational Rehabilitation Commission and they have done a wonderful job in helping revamp my resume, begin getting the motivation to job search, and listen to similar topics to DeVry University and University of Phoenix. They tried to push me to talk about my future like I was crazy, but I simply told them the past and present issues at hand. The only future situation is the upcoming Olympics 2024.
I attended another Inclusion Summit with the University of Phoenix.
My project and program management skills are very beneficial in managing the limited income and benefits.
My Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) or food stamps benefits went from $450 per month during pandemic with federal help, then to $200 per month with state help, and now to $20 per month a reality in having cash available, and mind you I am still under the poverty line and low-income status.
My Medicare benefits are coming for the first time. I had to inquire about how to get my medical premium paid for and MassHealth Medicaid had an answer for me plus an application. I sent the application right back in. At the same time, I returned back to my roots with applying for Blue Cross Blue Shield Medicare Part C with the ultimate plan including all the bells and whistles. BCBS also offers international travel insurance plans too. I am excited. Hello again Anthem BCBS and CareFirst BCBS. Nothing the other insurance policies, but I was introduced with BCBS when I had my internship with the federal government.
After suppressing my sugar for a long time, and no sugar and carbs diet, my body went haywire in March 2023, I gained ten (10) pounds because metabolism or the hunger gene or starvation body notification kept going off like crazy. I am drinking plenty of Powerade and Vitamin Water, eating a lot of 7-Eleven Pizzas and McDonald's French Fries combined with my nutritional shakes, Lenny and Larry's cookies, One A Day Multivitamin, and Metamucil. I went back to Digestive Advantage gummies again. Someone really loved my glowing skin, which means the collagen vitamin powders is working.
I attended a Meetup Memorial Day Picnic in Cambridge and it was fun. I met plenty of people. We played throw the football. I saw some new games that I never seen before. I spoke with a variety of different people. I played UNO and got some free food at the park. Thanks for a great time, Tal as the host and others. We shared food and drinks as well.
City of Boston Election Board sent me another rejection notice stating I am not allowed to vote, but I cannot help the automated processes connected to the RMV and any other departments to capture new residents.
Massachusetts is finally giving up sex in 2023, very surprising and I wonder why.
I attended the United States Department of State Foreign Service seminar. It was very enlightening and helpful to understand the positions. I gave real-time questions and got real-time answers.
I have a mentee from the University of Phoenix and met twice already to help guide her during her doctoral journey and process. I attended the University of Phoenix mentor and mentee conference in June 2023. It feels good helping someone else during their journey.
I changed therapist services until I find the right one. I left Boston Medical Center, then went to Life Stance, and then Trust Therapists, and then TCA Counseling Group, and then Boston Neurobehavioral.
I attended the Volontaire Paris Olympics 2024 Webinar, which gave more insight on the volunteer process. I am glad an investigation is going on regarding the Paris Olympics 2024 ticketing process, but I could not find any affordable seats for any of my events, such as athletics and basketball. Remaining athletic tickets were $900 per seat and basketball medaling ceremony games did not have anything.
I spent my birthday in Raynham, Massachusetts at the Marriott Courtyard. I did the gym, went to Walmart, ate at Applebee's, listen to audiobooks, synchronize my computer with the cloud, my smartphone and new USB drive, socialized over the sex apps and finally got one friend to come over, and slept naked. Yes, I made phone call to the Federal Express attorney team. I saw somewhat of the suburban and countryside of Greater Boston area.
Celebrating by communicating like no tomorrow across social media apps and at the Marriott Courtyard plus switching rooms in a different part of Massachusetts. Massachusetts has mobile homes parks, ya'll, all neat, clean, groomed to a 'T', and sparkly. It is my first trip on MBTA's Purple line or regional rail and GBTA bus system.
Black Entertainment Television "12 Years a Slave" movie pissed me the heck off. United States of America truly showed the separation of and disruption the African-American/Black family. It is still done through the courts.
Eric Tolendano and Olivier Nakache French film "The Intouchables" movie was fresh and exciting about two heterosexual men taking care of each other and serving a purpose in each other lives. English subtitles were great. I was able to match the language with how they say it French. However, the movie does depict Africans or Black people are the same no matter where we are. It was combined sad and happy emotional ending.
I lost another USB drive or taken from my back pocket, but re-purchased another one with storage upgrade. Still sending everything to the technology cloud.
I ate my meal (grilled salmon, steamed broccoli, mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, vanilla ice cream, and blondie) at Applebee's and got a buzz from Peach on the Beach.
I had a happy birthday. God blessed me to see another year. Thank you and I am grateful.
I am still going to American Red Cross Boston Food Pantry and Boston Medical Center Food Pantry.
One of the individual human defendants is trying to settle and get out of a lawsuit they brought on themselves. I do not submit. I do not tolerate racism or discrimination in any shape form or fashion.
I met with Pine Street Inn leasing department for their permanent housing locations.
I attended the Boston Public Library Morning Brew discussing the preservation of Boston communities’ histories.
I registered for the USATF Masters Championships and already booked everything.
I attended my first Tend Dental appointment. They gave a referral to O'Trafford Dental Specialists and they were going to restart the same process as Tend to provide treatment for my 20-year root canal issue.
I attended Massachusetts Superior Court Hearing regarding Southampton and met the attorney general staff member attorney representing Commonwealth of Massachusetts. I spoke with the attorney after we got instructions from Judge and we, the attorney and I, discussed the notice of appearances and withdrawals during the case.
I had my Massachusetts Superior Court Rule 16 (Pre-Trial) Conference and it was okay. The attorney and an unexpected individual human defendant showed up, and bombarded the Judge. I kept calm and got my instructions. We are in the discovery phase. Just as fast Federal Express attorney team sending documents, and I sending the same punch or even harder back.
I did a lot of surveys. I updated my EZPassNY account. My Great Lakes account moved or migrated to the parent company Nelnet. Edfinancial/IDAPP is upgrading their systems too. I hope they are holding back the already payments made until the systems are finished upgrading. Joel Osteen is still giving great messages. I am still reading United States Congressmen and Congresswomen newsletters and emails. IBM reimagined my machine after installation of another SSD PC Card upgrade…thank goodness for backups. IBM Support did help after to find the parts that were missing from my machine, which was not on the original custom order. I signed up for another Google and FaceBook class action suit. Zoom application is becoming a more important role for my classes and meeting new individuals.
I requested my Annual Credit Report and saw some accounts as expected dropped off. I spoke to Paris 2024 Olympics - On Location Experience for the Olympic and Paralympic Games provided okay packages, but not customizable enough for customer to enough the events of his/her choice especially when priced $15,000 plus per week.
I attended the French Library Online Conversation Club and a Soiree. I researched more on the French language certifications. French Levels of Testing
Going for Nationality License, Long Term Residence Permit DILF - initial / first - A 1.1 DELF tout public - A1, A2, B1, B2 DELF prim - A1.1, A1, A2 DELF junior/scolaire - A1, A2, B1, B2 DALF - C1, C2

The audio books are still letting me know what is happening in the world and how the world thinks. I am going through African-American/Black authors works and books because I am African-American/Black first. If time permits and I finish the African-American/Black authors, then I will visit other races and ethnicities on similar topics.
Eric Jerome Dickey's Blackbirds was a good sibling or friends’ story. I really loved my family and friends, but I guess I was slighted on always seeing the best version of themselves. I could not get too angry with someone (biological father and his family) that was never there. Thank goodness for getting through my child molestation therapy that I never encountered soft dicks or penises. The cocks, dicks, or penises I chased after or chased after me were good and great, and each one knew how to fuck or make love. I did meet some kings of ding-a-lings (for example 11 inches length by 7 inches round), but did not challenge myself to take them. I want to meet a dude with diphallia or anyone as a hermaphrodite. I still have not encountered the best besides myself. Unfortunately, my last bottoming or submission experience was 2010 after chasing each other for five years. I am very glad I evolved in being a dominant top or Type A or active male for females and males. This is probably another reason for me not getting along with males because I do not submit to anyone except to a female who wants the moment for an hour or two. I am very proud of the dominant and aggressive females that I had in life that taught me a good lesson or two in bed. I am very proud of the super feminine and submissive females that fed my ego to the max. It is only one vagina or pussy that I had had superpowers over me like kryptonite before I had to let her go. Yes, if I had preference, priority order 1. Vagina or Pussy, 2. Ass or Butt, 3. Dick or Cock or Penis in any sexual activity in the present or future. Most posts will be written in another language. This is not a coming out story, but taking the power from those who live to disrupt my peace, harmony, and healing, and my optimistic future. Friendships can be cherished if life can allow such closeness over time.
Eric Jerome Dickey's Genevieve was a good family story with a horny spouse. The past can be a detrimental thing, when people have to change names and stay away from family for years or decades. Despite all that happens in and with family, when a strong spouse goes through her final therapeutic session and stands by her man that is a bond no one can go against. Yes, Genevieve "Lakeisha Shawnna Smith" Forbes was my favorite character.
Eric Jerome Dickey's Drive Me Crazy was okay, but highlights again the spin on journalism on high crime, affairs, and mischievous moves. Even though, Earl "Driver" was the main character, his weakness was women and an impersonation of intelligence personality. This story highlights the horrible side of law enforcement, and overstepping and overuse of the law enforcement powers even after someone is long gone or left the force. This reflected back on my situations in Maryland, Ohio, and New York, "Who put all levels of law enforcement up to the decision when there was no supporting evidence?" Ohio, I can admit I was wrong, but could have been let go with a warning. Maryland and New York, as I mentioned an arrest for no reason, "Who made the decision?" Washington, DC and Delaware, still chasing me until something happens for when I miss child support payments and this is because of my ignorance or lack of knowledge of having a child is a criminal offense whether in or out of wedlock, but the church and family sees a child as a blessing and then rip the family apart. Soul stirring Rufus was my comedian in this book. The band of the two brothers was hilarious. Samantha "Panther" helps me understand how she came into Earl "Driver's" life and comes into play for Eric Jerome Dickey's Naughty or Nice. Plagiarism is so real, but Corporate America rejects original thoughts from people like myself, but everyone and even the news steal ideas to what can make the headlines or makes profits. And I am labeled the crazy one and loss all my sh*t.
Eric Jerome Dickey's Bad Men and Wicked Women was excellent. Jake Ellis and Ken Swift were my favorite characters in this one. I need an African male, heterosexual bull co-worker or friend like Jake Ellis in my life. This was another action packed and suspensefully written piece of work. Heterosexuals and Lesbians need to treat the wife right because the ones perceived weak and unsuspecting are the most powerful in a spouse's downfall. This story did give the perspective on how everything is the same in war and fighting, and the glorified world is partially fixed especially in the fields of journalism, such as what makes the news and how a severe crime scene(s) has/have a whole lotta spin. The good jobs perceived to be good and stable, but those getting the good and stable jobs do not realize the grunt work put into having that position. The business of money laundering and blood money is a concept I understand regarding the San Bernadino business. The real banks tried to show me how it is done with a little bit of my money and my own money. Most people believe killers or murderers have no heart, but this story gave whole another perception of protection around offspring, mistreated individuals, and family. In my heyday, this is why South Carolina, Georgia, and Washington, DC knew to contact Marvell (Jake Ellis and Ken Swift combined) and he will handle it, and I do not mind reliving it for any future offspring, protected class of people that can't defend themselves, and family. I have not killed anyone, yet, and if I did, I would not incriminate myself publicly, I would call someone like San Bernadino or ensure my DNA and GPS tracking is nowhere near the crime scene. Eric Jerome Dickey's books are having me flashback hard to my visit in 2011 to California…I actually physically saw most of the places, streets, and all he described.
Eric Jerome Dickey's A Wanted Woman was very action packed just like an action movie. A 14-hour audiobook. The main character "The Woman of a 1,000 faces" or "Reaper" or "MX401" was very good depiction of a superb assassin. I was highly impressed. In combination with movies, such as John Wick, 007, Wanted, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, and Equalizer plus violent video games plus news information about gangs, they all inform me that the Cain and Abel biblical depiction of life that killing without remorse does exist. The United States legal world and business world kept driving me into a path I never saw in real life as a way to make a living or never told by education in schools/college/universities. My foundational thought growing up was anyone dying by a gun or bullet was an accident, or someone was angry, or run away from the scene, and to always stay away from guns. As my honest way of living is dwindling down to nothing in the United States of America, no work experience in other avenues of work, or my work experience exceeds W-2, 1099, and Corporate-to-Corporate jobs, I want to meet a real assassin who got started with or without blood money. I do not want drug dealer money because it is too complicated. Doctoral research on my mental health issues already state that I have the capability to do it. As a former armed security guard plus my first legal gun license permit does start the seeding. As a former member of US Veteran Reserve Corp, I saw the weapon training at a secret location for assassins. The name or lingo changes from calling someone a mercenary. The lottery and lawsuits are long shots in trying to get money for all my losses. I am going to give this sports and fitness career a try, but I am inching closer to the unconsidered side of life that is coming out for real if I remain in United States of America. I always wondered by inflation and expensive locations going up, how people could afford that lifestyle?!?! I could travel and know the world another way. Honest living does take on a different connation. The hurt each other never stopped since the beginning of life.
Eric Jerome Dickey's One Night is a book recommended for everyone. I thought just like the character of "Man from Orange County." I am no more NAIVE about women. I really, really, sincerely really did not know about how WOMEN think, process, and do sht. Jacqueline Francesca Parker Summers is one hll of a woman. Best line: Crazy Got to Understand Crazy 2nd Best line: Who wants to battle for Cheesecake? Me: 20 babies…but I will settle to make or have four (4) babies…or at least keep trying. Thank God for this life's break to understand the world.
Eric Jerome Dickey's Naughtier than Nice was super naughty and connected so well. My favorite characters turned into an insane asylum with everyone stubborn. It was a complete opposite of the Naughty or Nice. This book does put in perspective what people do to get money or materialistic things or destroy their own lives. Criminals, con artists, people constantly changing their names or identity, blackmailers, and women or men scorn over a bad breakup do not come to me to pull a scam or got residual feelings. Everything was done the first time around in my life and my apologies for being Fort Knox, US Federal Reserve Bank, the Pentagon, and the entire United States Department of Defense forged as one unit. Thanks to all the servicemembers men and women who do serve in the military and fought for the USA to be free to be crazy. I like somewhat of the James Baldwin connection using the Beale Streets character. Again, everyone said I was crazy or insane. Now, I am definitely going somewhere else to have another country fight for my freedom after this book.
Eric Jerome Dickey’s Naughty or Nice was super hot and funny. Michael “CarpeDiem0707” Davidson and Olivia “Livvy” McBroom Badera are my favorite characters. There is nothing on this earth that can match a woman’s orgasm. Michael “Carpe” reminded me of being such a terrible person to the women in Atlanta, Georgia; Washington, District of Columbia; Maryland; and Chicago, Illinois for making the pussy or vagina talk, vibrate, gush, and sing, and put the women to sleep. Atlanta gave me my first Male-Female-Male (MFM) ménage à trois, but I will experience my Female-Female-Male-Female (FFMF) or Female-Male-Female (FMF) before I leave this world. My self-pleasure (masturbation) to all my fantasies with women is so fulfilling. Second chances on anything or anyone is where I get fcked up with the exception of Planet Fitness and Crunch Fitness, or the gyms, and track and field. I believe and know there is an abundance of first chances and I will continue to chase those first chances until the end of time. I am that motherfcking sex athlete.
E. Lynn Harris’s What Becomes of the Brokenhearted is well deserving, and connects all the books together or at least gives the backdrop of how the books are written. I saved this book for last. Washington, DC’s Black Pride Memorial Day weekend was strong in 1980s and still going strong in 2020s. So many memories for me. Traxx nightclub DC was around in the 1980s….I did not see it until the 1990s. Good times dancing and chatting up conversation, and lots and lots of hugs. E. Lynn Harris books are therapeutic for plenty of various topics. It is disappointing how introverted E. Lynn Harris was, but real as alcoholism takes over, depression takes life to a specific low, and introverts driven for all their love in one person. I am very touched by his books coming at the right time of my life. Thank you, E. Lynn Harris and co-authors. Thanks to the publishing company, actors, and actresses making the audiobooks possible.
I love all of you despite all our differences. I am grateful for the organizations I joined, programs I participated, and schools/universities attended. I am grateful for therapy, medical, medication, and health help by all the research, doctors, nurses, and other heroes. I am grateful for my families, my friends, my social networks, my teammates, my peers, my co-workers, and those I met once in meetings, passing by, or conversations. I never took anything or anyone for granted. I am healing, but willing to talk and discuss about anything. I appreciate and love myself, and my spirit. God is the best person to keep first.
E. Lynn Harris and R. M. Johnson’s No One in the World was very well written. The End leaves room for more or an encore. Colby Aiden Winslow is my favorite character. I did not like him at first, but he knew family. Cissy Winslow is a close second favorite character. Tyler, the US Senator, was a good character also describing the benefits of family and how the world sees people. From all E. Lynn books presents attorneys as whores. Captain-Save-A-Hoe was a funny line. Family has it benefits, but for me, my family said my life would’ve been this way or that way and ended up being all lies for my entire life with the exception of my ex female partner that only came out right. Everyone is a criminal in some shape or form. However, the legal profession is making a path of reality on making someone like me a criminal despite all the education and navigation I prevented to get caught. As a criminal, I never do random…I presented everything upfront…I send everything including the consequences directly back to the source. Afraid of YOU…hll no. This book provides the sides of what family, people, and criminals do when anyone is in a tough spot. For Massachusetts, I tell the truth at the time it happened, then everyone does whatever it takes to turn it into lie. Again, to reiterate “Afraid of YOU…hll no!”
E. Lynn Harris’s Any Way the Wind Blows was good. John Basil Henderson is my favorite character. Bartholomew “Bart” Dunbar reminded me so much of all the gay men that wanted to out me since I was still finding myself in life’s current mess. This could be a root cause for me not getting along with gay men. Ava Harrington paints a very bad picture of mothers, actors, actresses, models, and singers. I thank God I never went that or pursued that route of life for acting, modeling, and singing. Ava’s motherhood issues do shed light that mothers can be more terrible than deadbeat dads. Corporate America does its dirt, but I understand the rewards and consequences of doing business. The hunt for stardom, revenge, or celebrity status is more dangerous than me and my mental health issues. Everyone wonders why I bolt so fast OR patiently wait for all consequences for your actions, and send back paperwork to discuss the issues and tell everywhere so everyone will know what you did along with my response.
E. Lynn Harris’s A Love of My Own was also good, down-to-earth, and more realistic. Sebastian, Zola Denise Norwood, William Jabbar Lewis, Hayden, and Drew Taylor were my favorite characters. I guess I see the reason Corporate America did not like me because I do/did not cross the rules or boundaries, just do the work and learn, and stuck to my data/information and decisions. I thank Corporate America second to Sports and Fitness for teaching me Termination (Let Go), Disconnect (Let Go), and Resilience (Bounce Back). Raymond Jr and Basil was bound to happen. Raymond Jr. and Drew reminded me to realize men can feel emotional just like women. However, I will stick to my realism and not fairy tales.
E. Lynn Harris’s I Say a Little Prayer was hilarious from start to finish. I laughed two days straight. A gun toting or weapon toting Skyler, and Pastor Kenneth and First Lady Sister Vivian were my favorite characters. I am impartial to Chauncey and Bassell because there are the 1% of people who do have self-control and can turn gay on and off, not every LGBTIQA+ or heterosexual cheats. For example, I never cheated in any of my relationships; what happens is the moment someone says let’s go monogamous, I do all my dirt up to the verbal commitment, always plays safe and get tested, then invest all my love, trust, sexual experience, 100% full attention, and energy all into that one person, then when the person leaves or we breakup, I go right back to serial dating. Quote from the book: “Save a Sin to not Lie to a Minister” was funny. The gay-for-play or gay-for-pay was new terminology for me and reminded me of Harvard University COOP Bookstore having a book, "How to be Gay." The acronyms were cute. The names and reflection on the black culture for those and me that can relate is too funny. I really miss and going to miss, Atlanta, Georgia, my first loving outweighs the hate city and good memories outweigh the bad memories there for me. It is awesome to visit the Atlanta metro area.
E. Lynn Harris’s Not a Day Goes By was spectacularly angry and wonderfully written. John Bassell Henderson and his daddy were my favorite characters. Despite everything going on, Bassell stuck to his core and never picked a team. I dislike Raymond Jr, Zuric, and Nico for attempting to make Bassell pick a team. The novel made me reflect on my heterosexual relationships heading in with all love and trust in women, then Yancey and Ava were revealed in the moment of change or distance or space (the difference with my females they kept the kids). With all the Derricks (male or female) of the world, I am still wondering with my Washington, DC or Chicago residences with family or my own place, who the f*ck kept showing up at my lobby or houses, introducing the themselves, and leaving no contact information? My families and receptionist told me constantly.
James Baldwin’s Go Tell It On the Mountain was seriously good to find out what happened before my birth. Richard and Debra were my favorite characters. Richard was strong and had my attitude, “Do me motherfckers!” and take them down right with him, but I am sorry he committed suicide after being set free without knowing he was a daddy and his soul was broken after being jailed for no reason. Debra was strong to show how stand by a cheating husband and pastor, and keep his sins with him even while he pastors a church or being a missionary. New York been doing its shady sht then in the 1910s, 1920s, 1930s, 1940s, 1950s, 1960s until now and the future. Latinos and everyone else want this country, and history repeats itself repeatedly just with new folks. Everyone, including Jesus, was and is a sinner. Adultery, Violators of the Ten Commandments, and everything was dumped at my doorstep and I never complained or created drama in the 1980s, 1990s, 2000s until 2007. Thanks to my higher being or God for keeping me safe back then and now.
E. Lynn Harris’s Basketball Jones was okay. No favorite characters in this one. However out of guilt and not knowing, for and to all my 1980s, 1990s, 2000s male and female friends, my sincere apologies “I AM SORRY” if I lied out of not knowing what I was saying via any communication method in the 1980s, 1990s, and 2000s, or did not tend to your needs as I should have, or did not give you the opportunity to be with me. More power to new beginnings as the story showed.
E. Lynn Harris’s Just Too Good to Be True was slightly depressing. Sports Athletes, I am amazed at the sports industry and I thought direct sales in Corporate America was hard. Women, the church and family culture, and disowning your own kids really surprised me and bad jokes are harmful. I did not know. Delmarr and Sylvester are my favorite characters in this one.
E. Lynn Harris's Abide With Me was more realistic. The World is Evil and I am glad I got mine out early. I may still be suffering, but better position. I was Raymond Tyler Jr mixed with Nicole until 2007. Thanks for my ten (10) Delaney friends. Bassell is too funny and reminds of every sport athlete or military person I ran across. Jared is my dude and still reminds me of my past, current, and future dream type of life always keep trying. Delaney is my stand-up girl. "Family and Friends at a distance."
Just As I Am by E. Lynn Harris is one of the most powerful and relevant novels read or heard so far. Some much Black love poured into it. 15 Hours of Listening…I couldn't stop listening. Self-Reflection, Retrospection of Culture, and Healing Therapy for me. No change in my rules.
E. Lynn Harris’s Invisible Life was relevant and spot on the cards life dealt. Thank you for letting me know my life was unique and okay to be me, a Black man. Black authors can write……….Words from a Stranger provides Healing.
If Beale Street Could Talk by James Baldwin is hot 🔥 🥵 Make me wanna have twenty (20) babies
Happy Independence Day or July 4th, Happy Canada or Dominion Day, Happy Nude Recreation Month, Happy Cell Phone Courtesy Month, Happy Global Forgiveness Day, Happy Disobedience Day, Happy Bastille Day, Happy National Motorcycle Day, Happy Buffalo Soldiers Day, Happy Systems Administrator Day, Happy National Minority Mental Health Awareness Month

Reasons To Choose BCBS in Sarasota and St. Petersburg, FL
Enrolling for Medicare is an accepted way of obtaining health care at affordable costs. This type of  Federal government-sponsored plan is meant for elderly citizens past 65 and patients with severe kidney ailments. The plans are exceptionally beneficial, but many people find it difficult to pay the out-of-pocket costs associated with healthcare. One can buy Medicare supplement plans in St. Petersburg and Tampa, FL, to cover the gaps in original Medicare.
Alternatively known as Medigap, the interested individual must also be enrolled in Medicare Plans. Being covered by Part A, or hospital insurance, and Part B, i.e., medical insurance, is a prerequisite for buying Medigap plans.
It is essential to know that the policies are provided by private insurance companies operating across the nation. The plans are standardized, with identical benefits and coverage offered to all customers regardless of their physical address. It is interesting to know that there are ten different plans, each named after an alphabet starting from A through N. One may choose a private insurance company without worrying about low coverage. The following facts must be checked carefully before approaching an insurance company with the intent to buy one or more Medigap plans:
· All insurance companies across the country sell Medigap policies
· The insurance companies may not offer all the policies
· Medigap Plan A must be provided by all insurance carriers · Plans C and F are not provided to new Medicare buyers. These plans may be sold to people eligible for Medicare before 2020.
· The new Medicare buyers are offered Plan D instead of Medigap plans C & F instead Coverage
Medigap policies will cover out-of-pocket costs related to original Medicare plans, namely:
· Co-payments · Coinsurance · Deductibles
In addition, a few Medigap policies also cover emergency health care when one is traveling to an international destination. Known as foreign travel emergency care, the policy pays up to a limit of $50,000 for a lifetime
Exclusions
The following, however, are not covered by any Medigap policies:
· Long-term care, such as non-skilled care provided by nursing homes · Vision and/or dental care · Cost of Hearing aids · Cost of Eyeglasses · Private  nursing
Individuals enrolled in Medicare may additionally opt for Medigap Plan D. It provides prescription drug coverage. Medigap Plans sold after 2005 do not include prescription drugs, making Plan SD essential for people needing multiple medicines.
While the benefits of the Medigap plan are identical regardless of whether the private company is selling it, the prices tend to vary. It thus makes sense to compare the prices in a particular area before accepting the terms of the Medigap Plan. The cost of the Medigap plan will also depend on the kind of discounts offered by the company, higher deductibles, and underwriting.
One may opt for Blue Cross Blue Shield or BCBS in Sarasota and St. Petersburg, FL, to obtain the right health care coverage at standardized rates.
