The new car will hit the track in February The new Toyota Camry will hit the race track before it even reaches dealers. The automaker today unveiled the Camry XSE Next Gen, which will compete in the NASCAR Cup Series next year. It will make its racing debut in early February, but the regular new Camry won't go on sale in the United States until March 19. The Camry XSE Next Gen features a front fascia and a wide lower grille surrounded by C-shaped corner vents. The Toyota badge is located above the Camry lettering between the taillights. The standard front-wheel drive Toyota Camry combines a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with two electric motors for a combined output of 225 hp. All-wheel drive versions receive a third electric motor on the rear axle producing 232 hp. Camry XSE Next Gen will receive a V8 engine with approximately 700 hp.
