I am once again thinking about Phantom and him being shown more Quintessence culture by the elders...

CW - Heavy implications of abuse and slavery (but this is a fluff post! Also trauma healing for Phantom fr)

Bug has 0 fucking idea on his culture, only what he knows in his kithood and then learning from the others topside. He knows enough about their harmonies with the inner souls and connection to the astral. Phantom was taught by his captor about the importance of wind chimes and crystals, but beyond that? Nothing. No ceremonies, no basic breaking, nadda.

The Quintessence Ghouls enjoy getting together twice a month in the abbeys chapter house, and they go all out with it. It's clothing free but never sexual, just embracing their natural bodies and even their true forms. Ether ghouls even in the pits wore jewelry and body chains, they're decorative and very focused on the bodies.

Painting down multiple sigils around the room, with a giant one of protection on the floor where they meditate. Placing wind chimes near the windows and above the curtains, grounded amethyst near entrances and once again around the floor sigil. Candles lit around, incense sticks, and right in the middle being black tourmaline also in a powder form.

Phantom just sitting next to Swiss and Aether, trying to stop his laughter as they rub the tourmaline over his torso and back, then right down his forehead. He's lead by Aether on how to put it on him, whispering encouragements.

"Keep your attitude positive. When you place tourmaline on someone, your intentions matter. It's a double ended sword-- it can defend or it can put you as a target."

Since Phantom has too much trauma relating to chain bralettes and can't wear one, he's simply draped in a mesh cover, Aether weaving citrine into the cloth. He has a circlet resting against his forehead - Aether wearing a crown halo with shoulder and waist chains. Swiss only has a waist chain and garter on, but his horns are decorated with strings of chimes. Phantom is just in his unglamoured form while Aether's in his true, just fuzzy and silk at the same time. His horns are literally moving with galaxies, face still so gentle.

He's led in soft humming, then eventual prayer, how they intertwine hands and tails, moving side to side while they sit. How the sigils in the room start glowing and the room gets clouded in smoke.

He's shown to sit on his knees, hands on his lap and trying to push his essence forwards. He's... Not doing good at it. Swiss just places his hand on Phantom's back for that extra push and he's now in a projection. Sarra (1st era) is leading, calmly explaining to the group to eye their own bodies, remove their sigils of denial, cleanse themselves.

Phantom is just eyeing his body that's just covered in his Master's sigils. They're weak from the distance and how long he's been away, but it's just a sour reminder. Trying to reach out and pull it away. He's not strong with his magick so he's just left sitting there, staring at himself. He can see his physical body starting to cry, yet he isn't, but then a hand touches his shoulder in the astral. Looking over and seeing Enki (2nd era) just eyeing him.

"I could feel your distress, I'm sure the others can as well but I wanted to respond..." And now they're both looking at the sigils. "Such strong holds... Why don't we remove one together, yes? Then later, we'll stay with Sarra. He can remove a high majority of these."

Phantom just nods, and now Enki is directing him, slowly pulling at the weakest one. The mind. He's holding Phantom's hand as they start dragging the strings away, bundling it together until the very last one pulls away. Phantom pushing his hands together and smothering it, watching as it turns to stars and falls down into the void. Enki is just smiling the entire time, whispering strength into his ear while they start pulling at his hand binds.

"It always felt heavy to play or hold someone's hand... I never really understood why until now..." He's just mumbling, grabbing the strings again.

"With you being inexperienced, it's hard to understand when something is cast on you."

Stars again. Phantom just exhales, and is ready to go back in, thanking Enki with such genuine. He can see Aether and Swiss already back in their physicals, Aether holding his arm out for Phantom when he returns. For good reason, too! Phantom just completely falls forward, would've face planted if it wasn't for Aeth. He gathers himself before putting his tiny hand on Aether's giant, smiling as his hand doesn't feel heavy anymore. He takes Swiss and gives such a tight squeeze and the happiest expression.

There's mediation in between different sets, but Phantom's favorite of the entire session was the crystal exchange. Before the meeting, you were supposed to take one of the dearest crystals to you, and during the exchange you'd be led through the plane to exchange with someone who needed it most.

Phantom was led to a ghoulette he never met before, just smiling and tail wagging as he offered over his amazonite to her. She's just purring the entire time, thanking him and sharing scents before he goes back to his spot. Delta is one of three who offer theirs to Phantom. They're just purring as they hand over a tigers eye. Another ghoul he doesn't know offers a malachite, and then Sarra offers one too! It's so strange seeing this giant true form kneeling in front of this itty bitty ghoul, leaning down and speaking in ancient ghoulish that absolutely no one else knows. Sarra blessing his crystal before offering a handmade pendant of howlite.

Using his claws to carefully clip it on Phantom's wrist, moving to put his hand between his horns and continue mumbling in ancient. He's met with a tiny kiss on his forehead in the end.

After the ceremony, Enki leads Phantom to Sarra where he's now in a semi-glamour form. Aether deciding to stay just to accompany and it proves to be helpful! Settling Phantom in a pile of tourmaline as Aether, Sarra, Enki, and two others Phantom's seen in the infirmary before start slowly breaking sigils around and in him. With each sigil removed, Phantom feels lighter and lighter -- relaxed and at peace. Every now and then their hands will press against a certain spot, but Sarra has kept his hand right above his cervix the entire time.

"Whoever locked you was smart. This is my era of Magick." Sarra just mumbles, before he slowly twists his hand. "But still idiotic."

Phantom has a sudden extreme cramp before just as fast as it came, it leaves, and Sarra removes his hand. The last sigil gone. Aether is just smiling, carefully rubbing Phantom's cheek.

"How do you feel?"

He's quiet. Just slowly touching over his torso before he starts crying, being sat up and comforted. Just being sandwiched on all sides as he finally feels so... Free. There's no lingering touch, no magick restraining him. He's a bawling mess, crying his thanks over and over. Phantom is free.

Something that grinds my teeth is how the fandom (especially MAPs; no hate or malice towards any Peril-Centered MAPs) portrays Peril as either a Sad baby who doesn't want to kill or a girl boss who took delight in killing.

The Skywing arena was used as entertainment by Scarlet and most commonly used prisoners of war... Whilst the war was still running. Peril saw herself as an entertainer that took care of The Current Enemy That We Are Fighting in Thrilling Ways - remember how she said to Clay about how the Sandwing who killed himself by hugging Peril wasn't 'Thilling' enough? It's like how People used to watch lion tamers in the Victorian era

Yes, Scarlet did manipulate her into this position by making her believe that all she was useful for was violence, which is through no fault of her own. When all throughout your entire life you've been told that you're only a killing machine and only one person understands you, it's hard not have that influence you, even when you've found out that it was all lies. It's harder still to get out of that mindset when it's discovered that it was toxic as hell.

This also leads into another problem I have: somehow noone in the second arc seemed to connect the dots that since Peril was used for killing and was under a terrible queen's claw for a long time, she'd obviously have really bad social skills. Instead they use it as evidence that she's just a violent dragon and nothing more, something that angers her since she's trying to prove otherwise which gets used as more evidence. Dragons antagonise her, then act surprised when she does not like it and bites back *Cough cough* Winter, Moonwatcher *Cough cough*.

With everyone treating her so hostile, it's no surprise that she ended up falling under Queen Scarlet again (even if she was enchanted to).

Although I will say I don't hold Ruby any slack for her treatment towards Peril, since she did believe that Peril might've killed her 'sister' Tourmaline, and manipulated or not, that's a very hard thing to get over with. Plus it does give her a genuine reason and not everyone else's vague "you killed dragons" when everyone had fought in a war and everyone was listening to orders from their queens as well.

Actually, that is the problem: Everyone holds Peril at a higher standard because "Queen Scarlet was evil so everyone who followed her is also evil" and just see her as a mass murdering dragon for Scarlet. They don't bother seeing it from another angle as to Why. They also don't bother to realise that a good chunk of them have also killed during the Sandwing Succession War (which has just finished less than a year ago by the time of the second arc!) and also have blood on their talons, therefore "just as guilty" as her

Again, the Skywing Arena was being used whilst the war was still going on. The dragons that were in the fights were the enemy that had also killed Skywings. It wasn't like Scarlet pitted Skywing v Skywing in the arena or she was going to use Peril in Kestrel's execution.

Jade SOLD: Quiet and does all the dancing like a good jade for Watermelon Tourmaline at any balls held. Though its been quite dry this era 2 of balls.

Olive Pearl and Peach Pearl [A SET] SOLD: Watermelon is quite strict on symmetry and uniformity to her standards. Olive must always stay on her right side and Peach always on her left. They are NOT allowed to switch- per her orders. They usually get berated on that tiny fact when they don't stand in their proper places

Watermelon Tourmaline: SOLD An important Era 2 gem with limb enhancers on her legs. She has quite a bit of an obsessive compulsion for symmetry and it shows in the gems she surrounds herself with.

Pink Jade SOLD : She's a complete doll to be around, chipper and sweet. She seems to know exactly what to say to make you happy. Also the other gem to dance for watermelon tourmaline at balls. Watermelon tourmaline thought to have the two jades dance together but quickly shut it down "Your heights dont match nor does your styles! Quit it!" even though she was the one who started it.

An outfit/height ref thing I did for fun, for a post canon OC riddled thing I've dubbed "Echoes of Chalcedony" that lives eternally rent free in my head and probably will stay there forever, barring the occasional art or lore post I make about it

Featuring:

Adult Steven and Connie- Steeb's like 20 and some change, and Connie is 19. Steven's now living somewhere out on the west coast of the country and Connie is neck deep in college. They still visit Beach City and are involved in Gem related matters/politics sometimes (the formal outfits are for an Era 3 anniversary ball, which Steven begrudgingly attends), but they have their own lives to live too.

A Gem-human hybrid OC I have named Jean Maverick. They're 18- and lived a very sheltered human life for all that time before seeking out the Gems at Little Homeworld... craving more understanding about the Gem half of their ancestry. The Crystal Gems are very baffled at the notion that another Gem-human hybrid existed on Earth this whole time, and they never knew about it.

(Visualized in the second image) One of the unique Gem abilities Jean harnesses over time is dubbed 'palette swapping'- in which they can consciously shift the hue of their features into a more Gem-like appearance, according to their gemstone type. This is likely caused by projected hard light from their gem snugly wrapping around their form like a glove. There is no practical benefit to this ability (in fact, it actually drains Jean's energy pretty fast), and it's theorized that it was born out of Jean's deep alienation from their human ancestry and their intense desire to shed this and simply be a Gem.

Past and current forms for my Gem OCs Tourmaline and Morganite! In the past, these two were highly respected on Homeworld and a romantic item. Tourmaline was an aristocratic Gem in Blue's court in charge of managing whole cuts of Gems for special functions and balls, and Morganite was a young general bequeathed to Pink Diamond at the start of her Earth colony. Thousands of years later, the two found themselves fighting on opposite sides of the same conflict... with Tourmaline defecting and becoming a Crystal Gem, and Morganite remaining loyal to her Homeworld to the very bitter end. There's... some feelings of intense betrayal here.

In the present day, Morganite ends up as an antagonist in Jean's story, unhappy with the status quo of this new era and prepared to tear it all down to the ground- although the particulars of her actions suggest she has some... alternative motives here, too. What could they be?

The main characters of the Paranormal AU! Tourmaline 'T' Addison and Benjamin Ignacia ^-^

And their monster forms - a siren and a presagillo (or 'moth-person'), respectively!

T and Benjamin are paranormal investigators living in the odd little town of Elderwood in Northern Maine, United States. It isn't their MAIN jobs (diner waiter and tailor / small-time designer, respectively), but they're quite good at what they do. Even though they're an unlikely pair - an easily distracted omen of disaster and a luring spirit - they're the best of friends, living together in their shared house. :D

Base information about the AU under the cut :>

-Elderwood, Maine, is a HUGE hotspot for paranormal activity. Think Portland, Oregon in the Grimm TV show mixed with Gravity Falls. The human residents there know about this, but it's not really a problem for anyone as long as they're not causing issues.

-The town has its own unique flora and geological materials in it, making up a huge amount of interest for Benjamin's habit of journaling and studying everything they spot as well as T's jewellery side-gig.

-Benjamin Ignacia is a presagillo - aka, the species I made up for this AU that gives Mothman an entire species! It comes from the Spanish words 'presagio,' or 'omen,' and 'polilla/polillo,' or 'moth.' They're omens of disaster that get messages about major events and are sent to warn other people at the site and save people if they're able to.

-Ben... does not like getting summoned to these events. They get very quiet and tense before and after going to them.

-Presagillo can have two types of lifespans - one more akin to a cryptid, so close to 200, 300 years, or one where they can only live to 16, closer to the short lifespan of a moth. Technically, Benjamin was supposed to be the latter lifespan, if it weren't for the fact that T ended up saving their life. As of now, they're 33 years old.

-Signs of a presgillo's impending death include dreaming of Will o' the Wisps, being compelled to chase after them like a moth to a flame even though they're always just out of reach. If / When they ever catch up to one, then it's lights out.

-Moth-people are also very easily entranced by light sources - Benjamin, specifically, loves fires and Christmas decorations.

-Benjamin likes to use little bits and piece of magic to hide their wings and antennae when they're out in a public area where it'd be a disruption, or when they just don't want to deal with accommodating for their moth-like features in general.

-Benjamin's always been very perceptive to textures and sizes in their clothes, so they got into tailoring and designing young so they could make their own clothes more comfortable. When they got older, they started making that their primary job and source of income when they and T moved to Elderwood - tailoring clothes and making clothes for people. Including cosplay outfits, their favourites to make besides Victorian era clothing ^-^

-Aside from a clothing nerd, Benjamin's also a HUGE fan of nature, and frequently spends a lot of their time out in the woods collecting flowers and mushrooms and plants that they find around the town, making medicinal things out of the herbs that they find, and just generally exploring. There's a large tree outside of town that's connected to a mycelium network of mushrooms surrounding it that emit a lot of unsavory gasses (ones that WILL literally knock a person out, as Benjamin has learned), but it also sprouts a LOT of different types of plants on and around the area, so Benjamin wears a mask whenever they go into that area to keep from passing out.

-There are different regions of proper sirens over the globe, five regions around America - northwest, southwest, Gulf of Mexico, northeast, and southeast - T is a siren of the northeast, which typically have longer hair and more grayish skin-tones in their cryptid forms.

-Technically, T - or Tourmaline, as was his birth name, T is just a nickname - is a half-siren, born to a human father and siren mother. However, he inherited most of his mom's siren heritage rather than human heritage, and since his dad wasn't the greatest anyway... he considers himself just full siren.

-T and Benjamin both grew up in the same area (which wasn't Elderwood, closer to Connecticut) - they met when T was 12 and Ben was 10 on the way to the zoo / aquarium in their town in the summer! At first, Ben's parents didn't trust T nor his mother because they were sirens (aka luring spirits - and moths are very, VERY wary of those), but Ben and T kept hanging out anyway - T's mom was kind of indifferent to it since she didn't think anything would really HAPPEN if she kept her already in a rebellious stage kid from wanting to be friends with Ben when the latter was clearly harmless. Ben's parents only trusted T after he went out of his way to save Benjamin's life.

-T works as a waiter at a diner in downtown Elderwood that he will CONSTANTLY sing his praises about... for their quality of food and cleanliness of course, not just because he's biased and his manager is attractive (cough cough HUMAN AU VERSION OF SWATCH NAMED SWANN cough cough). His secondary job is jewellery just like his Addison counterpart, using gems and stones that he cleans and cuts himself from around town and whenever he, Benjamin, and their third roommate Cassidy go on road trips. He and Benjamin both sell their clothes and jewellery at a market every Sunday in the town center!

When Era III arrived, she achieved her goal and now they are a permafusion, she loves to watch the dawn and the sunset; she is in the “AndroFusions” group where few gems that have proven to be true permafusions made of various feelings and emotions, fight to be recognized and respected like any other gem

On-screen and in life, there’s a false narrative that trans women are tricking men into having sex with us. Watching Aysha and Sky aggressively pursue these boring men, I realized this is an offshoot of that same narrative.

Even the cis people who don’t see us as traps are still comforted by the idea that trans women are the ones doing the chasing. They can’t fathom the Lukes of the world choosing to watch a trans dancer. They can’t fathom the Dylans seeking us out on a queer commune. They imagine we are forcing ourselves on people when they themselves are proof of the opposite. To paraphrase Mariah Carey and Regina George, “Why are you so obsessed with us?”

Whether it’s to fuck or to make movies, cis people are the ones doing the chasing. Cis people might not share their lusts publicly; cis people who make movies about us might do a bad job. But there is no shortage of cis people who want to own a piece of us — our bodies, our stories, their idea of our stories.

The good news is we’re telling our stories too. I’ll say it again: we are in an abundant era for trans cinema. There are low-key indies like Mutt, Something You Said Last Night, and Summer Solstice. There are dreamy fantasias like L’immensita, Death and Bowling, and Playland. There are documentaries pushing the boundaries of non-fiction filmmaking like Framing Agnes, Kokomo City, Queenmaker, and The Stroll. There are auteurs who have broken into arthouse film culture like Isabel Sandoval and Jane Schoenbrun. There are trans filmmakers who have created incredible short form work who will continue to amaze in that medium and probably move on to features like Tourmaline, Rain Valdez, Nava Mau, and Nyala Moon. There are so many more trans filmmakers in features, in shorts, in television who are telling our stories and telling them well. And, just like there are cis people who do share their romantic desires publicly, there have been movies made by cis directors that are great like The Cow Who Sang a Song Into the Future, Dos Estaciones, Bad Things, and Alice Júnior. Some cis people actually can see our humanity.

We don’t have to settle for mediocrity. We don’t have to settle for being the catalyst in someone else’s story. I want nothing less than abundance. Let’s demand it.

Dream: white diamond -is the smallest of four diamonds- Gem center of his chest.

All dsmp memebers are meant to be in Whites court, all of the 'dsmp' takes place on Dreams first colony. The colony consists of one main planet that has three moons orbiting it. One moon is a communications center, one is currently empty besides one building and warp, and one is a massive garden. The main planet is based on the game MC, with focus on the mushroom biome and the mooshroom, as well as the other MC mobs that are part fungus. The first moon is very similar to the nether, red rock and teeming with lava, there is still some small life here, mostly stone based creatures and suggestions that spores from the main planet found their way to this moon via warping gems. The second moon is very similar to the end with yellowish-white stone, it's barren with little to no atmosphere, and has several satellite dishes and warp pads that take gems to other planets. The third and final moon is small, and mostly covered with a few domes that contain plants from the colonizing planet in order to further study the life that currently resides on the planet.

"I'm hoping you have a good reason to ask me here," Gideon said, his struggle for breath apparent in the clouds of vapor puffing out of his mouth. He reached the crest of the cemetery hill, hands stuffed into his coat pockets, nose and fingers already numb. "Not that I necessarily have a problem with being surrounded by the dead. And don't expect me to unpack that."

Blake, standing at the peak in his signature perfect posture that made him seem considerably long and regal, turned to Gideon with a warm if not mischievous smile. "Mr. Mendel. I'm happy you could join us."

Gideon stopped beside Blake and forced air into his own lungs, taking in the black and white striped mod suit Blake wore as he had the first time he ever saw him. "...Us?"

Blake's grin appeared to have frozen to his face. He cast a feline glance in the direction of the graves shadowed by night and the various elderly magnolia trees towering over the land. "We were just having a lively chat before you arrived. And the irony of that is very attractive."

"Okay." Gideon nodded and peered across at the darkness, a familiar tingle swelling at the base of his skull. "I should be used to this by now, shouldn't I?"

"We haven't known each other long," Blake said, slipping his fingers into the pockets of his own jacket.

Gideon peered sideways at him. "It's felt like our whole lives, hasn't it?"

His concern that the true nature of his unfinished statement wouldn't have been picked up was assuaged a moment later. Blake's enigmatic grin folded gently into a bittersweet gaze over the tops of the headstones.

Blake carefully removed his black tourmaline from his pocket. He stood in silence, smoothing his thumb over a facet and narrowing his focus onto the individual graves.

Thin wisps of fog seeped out of the ground, lifting no higher than an inch into the air before tumbling back down and swiftly accumulating. The headstones soon bathed in it, bright, bubbling fog caressing moss-covered granite and cold, packed dirt.

Though Gideon had witnessed this before, he didn't think he would ever get used to it.

"You're free to join us," Blake said to someone other than Gideon. "...I know none of you have much strength right now."

The fog began to form vague shapes hovering over the graves, twirling in the frigid air and bouncing what little light was available.

"Come, now," Blake whispered, removing his other hand from his second pocket. With it he pulled out a piece of quartz eerily clear enough to be mistaken for glass, and he swept his thumb over its facets as if it were a worry stone. "...Don't make me look like a fool in front of this man."

Gideon let out an unexpected laugh, not loudly enough to disrupt Blake's concentration. He then watched in awe as the vague shapes phased in and out of discernable forms, ambiguous yet human though they were.

They shifted and undulated, gliding in Blake's direction. Without warning, they all sank into the ground, spreading through the grass at a breakneck speed. One spirit remained, wide at the feet as if wearing an old gown from an undeterminable era, still inching closer.

"They've been here a very long time," Blake said, this time to Gideon. "Their resting places have been upset by hurricanes and floods, over and over for decades. Their tethers are frayed and irreparably strained." A foreign scowl of frustration pinched at his face. "She's got a few minutes with us at most."

"I'm...sorry," Gideon murmured to the spirit as her cold finally reached him. It bit into his skin, much sharper than the night air. "I can't imagine it's been easy for you."

She elongated near the top of her form—an arm held out to Gideon in wordless question.

Blake kept a firm eye on her, and while his face portrayed suspicion and caution, his tone conveyed sympathy. "She wants you to hold her hand as she falls away."

Gideon knew falling away wasn't an unpleasant concept as it merely meant disappearing until summoned again, but it didn't stop a pang of sadness from curling in his chest. He couldn't hold onto her hand in any real sense, but he mimed it, imagining that he grasped it with love and assurance.

As she faded into the fog, Gideon turned to look at Blake. Blake had his eyes on Gideon, just as suspicious and cautious as he'd been with the spirit.

"Why d'you think she wanted me to do that?" Gideon asked.

Blake returned his crystals to his pockets. "I'd say she could sense your energy. The warmth and the compassion you exude that even I could sense very quickly into knowing you. Or she sensed your amazing paternal instincts and hoped to be comforted as well as you'd comfort Warner."

Gideon's cheeks burned. "You know...I've wanted to kiss you since I first got up here on this hill, and you're not making me want to any less."

Here, the enigmatic grin returned. Blake tilted his head, his eyes dropping to Gideon's mouth for the briefest of seconds. "At least there's no chance of transferring my makeup this time around."

Gideon leaned forward without another thought and pressed their lips together. Blake cupped his jaw in his hands, and Gideon wasn't prepared for the albeit small amount of hunger in the way he deepened the kiss, his minor stake on Gideon making him dizzy with a sudden and quick spike of desire.

But Blake took his time. He remained unbothered as Gideon snaked his hands around his waist, was in no rush to step back when he broke their kiss with much hesitance.

"Mm," Blake grunted, and for a thrilling second Gideon thought the atypical sound was in relation to their kiss.

Before he could reply, however, Blake reached a thumb up to stroke across Gideon's cheekbone, holding it in front of Gideon's eyes with a cheeky smirk.

White face paint covered the pad of Blake's thumb. Fog curled around Gideon's feet and he could not ever explain where the makeup came from.

So I got this tattoo 10/14 and just now am I finally looking up the significance of 13 and I'm like 🥺🔮😍 at the spiritual meanings / magical meaning of 13. And I wanted to share what I found :)

The number 13 has strong vibrational energy and can be a signifier of change. As it's blessed with divine feminine energy, it also earmarks shifting cycles and can celebrate the end of one era and the start of something new.  The number 13 can signify growth which is why it is sometimes seen during difficult times. Life can be a rollercoaster, and rough patches are inevitable, but this number reminds us that by keeping a positive outlook, we can come through to the other side of these tough times and take the cycle of lessons that can lead us forward.

More of a hypothetical than a question (sorry lol)

what if lapis from iahp had to give her form, up for her offspring like rose did..what do you believe that would change..?

You went straight for the jugular, huh? Lol. First, when the CG found out, they’d immediately become lugubrious and have to discuss afterwards if they should A) warn them, which would only bring dread and heartbreak because - like in NSHA - there’s no way to stop the process once it’s started, or B) let them find out on their own, which would be just as heartbreaking and Peridot wouldn’t forgive the CG for not telling them.

Peridot wouldn’t be able to look at her child ever without hating herself and the higher-ups who put them in that horrible situation. It wasn’t fair; Lapis had suffered her entire existence and then never got to truly live once she was free?! Hadn’t she endured enough?? She’d especially hate Yellow Diamond and Tourmaline, as both of them had to have known what would happen.

Even with Lapis’s gem, she wasn’t Lapis. Peridot wouldn’t be able to raise her and would give her to the CG while she disappeared into her own secluded space somewhere - anywhere that wasn’t where she lived with Lapis. Eventually she’d probably end up shattering herself, unable to live knowing she’d unintentionally destroyed the only gem she’d ever allowed close and cared for.

The hybrid would grow up knowing she was different and would hate herself just for existing once told the truth of who her parents were and what happened to them, until she came to understand she was not at all at fault. It was the Diamonds who were to blame, but she isn’t old enough to be told any of this until well into Era 3.

Steven would, for obvious reasons, be a very close friend of hers (like a big brother) and the only one who could begin to understand how she was feeling, though not completely. She’d hate the peace he brings by connecting with the Diamonds and would never forgive them for their cruelty.

This was a fun (albeit sad) scenario to think about, tbh. Looks like there’ll be another alt ending lol.

Era 1

⚜️Which court does your Gem belong to, if any? Formerly Pink Diamond’s court (but performed work for White, before Earth’s colonization), then Yellow Diamond’s.

🎆What is your Gem’s planet of origin and given designation? (Ex: Facet-2F5L, Cut-5XG… Facet-5, Cut 8XM… Facet-413, Cabochon-12…) Homeworld, Facet-1A6Q, Cut 9DL. She is a very old Gem, incubated in the planet’s very first Kindergarten from the first batch of Pink’s diamond essence.

💎Describe your Gem’s gemstone. What color, shape, facet pattern, and placement does it have? It’s dark pink, has a diamond shape with a flat center facet (5 facets in total), and is positioned on the front of her upper left arm.

🛠️What is your Gem’s given role under the Diamond Authority? Morganite is a general. She is one of the most top ranking Gems in the whole empire when it comes to commanding troops during colonization efforts. She merely coordinates the organization of these colonizations, though.

📌Where does your Gem perform their duties? Do they travel a lot for their role, or mostly stay in one place? She does not often leave Homeworld itself while performing her duties, instead leaving the physical work to lower cuts of Gems.

🧦Does your Gem get along with others of the same cut? There are only a few handfuls of morganites. Each Diamond has between 1-5. This Morganite is the only one who has been assigned to Pink’s court, and since Pink Diamond had no colonies to call her own for a long while the others often scoffed and looked down on her for it, saying how unnatural it was for a morganite to be constantly waltzing around Homeworld with no real job to do. (Which is why she ended up working jobs for White Diamond during this early period- this arrangement was at her own request to remain busy.) As a result, Morganite is not fond of any of her peers.

🖇️Has your Gem ever partaken in fusion with someone of the same cut? No, for the above reason. Nor would there be any reason her given role would ever necessitate such a fusion.

💼Does your Gem report to anyone below the Diamonds? What do they think about this authority figure? Morganite reports directly to the Diamonds. She mostly reported to White for Era 1, and only started to report to Pink when the others agreed to grant her a colony… and then Yellow after her shattering. Being a staunch Homeworld loyalist back then, she of course revered the Diamonds, but this does not mean she didn’t have her preferences. She finds Yellow Diamond most agreeable to collaborate with, and thinks Pink Diamond is annoyingly unfocused in her role.

White Diamond… well, Morganite counts herself incredibly lucky that the single request she ever made to her (work in her court while Pink matured) was granted. Not everyone gets that same consideration. White is probably the only Gem in existence she feels truly intimidated by.

💥Has your Gem ever been rejuvenated? If so, how many times? No.

🪦Does your Gem harbor any hidden desires they think might get them shattered? After learning about the possibility of cross-Gem fusion during the early days of the rebellion on Earth, Morganite spent time considering what a fusion with her lover Tourmaline might be like. But no, NO- such thoughts are dirty and treasonous and not within the Diamonds’ design for Gemkind. She must never consider this idea again. (She fails.)

And quite frankly, there’s days where even allowing a romance with Tourmaline at all feels dirty to her. Morganites weren’t made to love another Gem like this. They were made for one purpose and one purpose only- to organize the Diamonds’ armies and help them colonize new planets. Regardless, her love for fellow high society Gem Tourmaline is the single rebellion she allows herself to entertain.

Era 2

🌸Was your Gem incubated before Pink Diamond’s shattering, or after? If after, does your Gem differ from others of their cut due to Homeworld’s Diamond essence shortage? She was incubated long, long before Pink’s shattering. She was, in fact, one of the very first batch of Gems incubated with Pink’s essence.

🔎Does your Gem like the role they were given, or is there another role in society they would rather have? Morganite convinces herself that she wouldn’t want to do anything else than the role she was given. So much that… when Era 3 comes along and she is dismissed from her duties, it almost destroys her.

She is not truly happy with her role, but cannot envision any other existence.

🪢Does your Gem have any friends outside their cut? Yes- a Tourmaline from Blue’s court, who she is in a romantic relationship with. Beyond her? She’s basically in a social vacuum. Tourmaline is the only Gem she engages with socially outside of her duties, and it makes Morganite’s dynamic with her unhealthily dependent.

🪄Can your Gem summon any weapon or special item? Her weapon is a double bladed rejuvenator, very similar to the one that Spinel stole during her tirade in the movie. She also has a metallic decoration tied to the end of her braid that is razor sharp and can be used as a weapon at close quarters if necessary. She does not, however, have a role related need to fight for much of her life— and only uses the rejuvenator to reset wayward Gems under her command.

🌍Has your Gem ever heard of the rebellion on Earth? If so, do they have any opinions on it? Ohohoh. Uh… yeah. Morganite was one of the very few Gems below the Diamonds who actually had clearance to access information about the Earth rebellion after all official communication and databases covering this colony were blocked. (The Diamonds did not want the Crystal Gems’ message of liberation for all Gems to spread beyond the colony itself. Underground communication, of course, still exists if one looks for it.) She needed this info if she were to properly command Pink’s armies in opposition to the rebellion.

To Morganite, the Crystal Gem rebellion is what took everything that mattered away from her. It poisoned her lover Tourmaline into defecting, it shattered her appointed Diamond, and ultimately, its consequences stripped away her very purpose when her rank was dissolved in Era 3.

🪩Has your Gem ever partaken in fusion with someone of a different cut? If so, do they defy Homeworld’s fusion rules openly or keep it secret? Absolutely not.

🏝️Your Gem has been reassigned to perform their duty on a planet or settlement of their choice. Where do they go? Morganite is content working from Homeworld, but if given the choice, would quite love to work in a place where she had some scenic views to enjoy in her brief moments of respite.

🫧Has your Gem ever been poofed? How? Morganite has yet to be poofed. (But she certainly will be over the course of her story in Era 3. The “how” is a large spoiler.)

🙈Your Gem discovers that someone they work alongside is off-color in some fashion. Do they narc to a superior, or keep this secret? Morganite would absolutely narc. They are a loyalist, and thus take the Diamonds at their word when they say such Gems are unnatural and wrong.

🪓Does your Gem know anyone who’s been shattered? Absolutely. She commands whole armies, after all. Even when there’s no opposition- no rebellions, no local lifeforms to clear out and subdue- colonization still poses risks to safe Gem habitation. Accidents happen. Not to mention, she’s had a few Gems under her command be shattered due to poor conduct.

Era 3

👑In the wake of this brand new era, where does your Gem’s loyalty lie? (The Diamonds? Themself? Someone else?) After the Diamonds destroy all remaining troops on Earth in their retaliatory attack (she was rallying for them to give them a chance to escape- in truth, she as ALSO very concerned about Tourmaline's safety), her reverence for them starts to fade to a disillusioned ember. In Era 3, Morganite’s only loyalty is to herself. (And to Tourmaline, but she doesn’t want to fully admit this, the idea of still not being over the Gem who betrayed her and left her behind for that damned rebellion, the Gem who is GONE now, presumed shattered in the war with the rest of ‘em.)

🎓Would your Gem ever consider attending Little Homeschool, why or why not? Absolutely fucking not. Morganite sneers at the very essence of what this establishment claims to be. A place where Gems can learn to live outside the bounds of their natural order?? Why on Earth would she ever want that?

⭐️What is your Gem’s honest opinion of Steven, if they are aware of his role in Gem history? By the dawn of Era 3, Morganite has grown weary of the Diamonds and their rule. Despite still believing this type of rigid social order to be what’s best for Gemkind, she does not see them as fit leaders anymore. So while she does somewhat admire and respect Steven for his role in removing them from power, she really, really hates that he’s involved with the Crystal Gems, who she abhors and blames for Tourmaline’s shattering in the war and for stripping away all the old structure of Gemkind. If any of the corrupted Gems he helped heal had turned out to be her lost Tourmaline, her opinion of him might be different, but alas she was never located. Thus, her opinion of that hybrid remains very muddled and bitter.

🪁Name three hobbies your Gem partakes in. Gossiping, solo sparring practice to vent out her frustrations, and tinkering with tech. She’s a bit of an inventor, constantly upgrading her tools so she can perform her duties to a higher satisfaction.

🌄Describe your Gem’s idea of a perfect day. Pre Era 3, A perfect day to Morganite is one where one she performs her duty as dictated, and one of the Diamonds vocally acknowledges her loyal efforts. If she’s lucky, she’d also get a spare moment to skirt away to visit Tourmaline in between tasks.

Post Era 3… she can’t envision what she wants her future to look like at all, beyond once again having Tourmaline at her side.

⚧️Imagine your Gem is presented with the concept of human gender. Do they have any preference in how they are perceived or addressed? She/her is just fine, although the human gender role aspects of it don’t make much sense to her.

🐌Does your Gem have any non-Gem friends? No.

🌙Would your Gem ever consider living as a permafusion? There is a completely different universe out there where Morganite and Tourmaline end up defecting Homeworld together and fighting alongside the Crystal Gems as a permafusion.

This, however, is not that universe.

Sometimes Morganite hates that she has devoted extensive amounts of time to secretly considering this possibility. Sometimes she hates the words left unspoken. Hates the words she can never take back. Hates herself for being too much of a rigid, paranoid coward to follow after her.

But this is not that universe.

And it never will be.

🍕Has your Gem ever tried ingesting food or liquid? If so, what is their opinion on this activity? Nope, and Morganite would probably never consider it.

Bio: One half of the permafusion tourmaline. Rainbow and her girlfriend sunshine had the same owner. They treated them well enough but they found over time that they much preferred each other's company. Rainbow went out of her way to make the pearl laugh and crack a smile whenever she could. Their sapphire could see what was going on and let it continue as long as it didn't distract too much from their duties. The royal not caring much to be entertained anyways.

The pair would fuse every so often in secret but never stayed fused for long out of fear of any gems catching them especially their diamond. Both gems very much fearing yellow opposed to worshipping her like most gems in her court. In era three the pair decided to stay fused. Attending little homeschool. Only unfusing once a week for dates.

Rainbow is a comedian and loves seeing everyone happy. Though most of all sunshine. She specializes in prop comedy as well as puns. Since coming to earth she's grown a fondness for clowns and loves watching the muppets. She's almost always smiling and when she's actually sad the color drains from her form. Making her less powerful as well.
