Alright, I gotta vent about something. I’m putting it under a cut though because it will probably get lengthy.

TL;DR, Zak Bagans is trash.

If you’ve followed me for a long time, you know that I used to be a huge Ghost Adventures fan. I watched it all the time, watched Aaron’s Vlogs, bought a sweatshirt, all of that. Hell, I even wrote fan fiction! So I should preface this by saying that I’m not trying to come off like I was always “above” that show or anything, I used to be a fan. Not anymore. 

I kinda stopped watching the show after Nick left, I’ll be honest. I did give it a chance because I didn’t think it was fair to just dismiss the show because Nick was gone. The episodes I watched, I just wasn’t that into. It felt like it was the “let’s see how wild and edgy we can get!” show and seemed more focused on finding demons rather than answering questions about the paranormal. It just seemed really forced and staged, really. Plus, the way that Zak and Aaron handled Nick’s departure really rubbed me the wrong way. But that’s not the point of this post. 

The point of this post is Zak and his blatant need for money and attention. It’s getting so sad and frankly, quite gross. So he’s got this museum in Vegas of haunted objects. Kinda seems like a bad idea to me? I mean, aren’t you not supposed to just gather tons of “haunted” objects in one place? I feel like that’s a recipe for disaster, but I’m not a paranormal expert. Anyway, that’s all fine and well, and I’ve heard that it’s pretty neat in there. I don’t have a problem with that. What I do have a problem with, is his complete disregard to victims of crimes, all for the sake of edge and cool points. 

The dude bought the LaBianca house where the Manson murders occurred, he has Charles Manson’s gown that he died in (and other gross items), and most recently, he wants to buy John Wayne Gacy’s brain. Why? To prop up in his museum to get more visitors, and more money. Look, I get being intrigued by serial killers, I’ve watched plenty of documentaries, shows, etc. The thing that I think is kind of disgusting, is the fact that he’s buying these items to display and to profit off of. 

Do you think that the families of Manson’s victims or Gacy’s victims want to see this dude parading these things around like a super rare Pokemon? I suppose the museum items aren’t as bad at the LaBianca house. He wants to make it a tourist attraction. Are you kidding me? Has he ever been told that he might be a bit insensitive? People were horribly slain there, and he wants to make it a place to make money. That’s all this dude cares about these days and it’s getting painfully obvious. 

To add to all of that, now they’ve got a special or something where they investigate/try to communicate with serial killers’ spirits? I mean, we all have questions I’m sure, but what? Trying to cash in on the Bundy craze from this year? His numerous shows, the museum, all of it just seems so fueled with greed these days. Homie just craves money and fame, and it’s such a bummer. 

Not to sound biased, but it seems that Nick at least is trying to stick to his roots of finding out answers of the paranormal, finding evidence of presences. He’s not being a huge mega turd about everything and trying to scrape up any penny he can get his hands on. 

I don’t know, this got way too long, but I think Zak’s massive ego and his desire to fund his stupid purchases is clouding his judgement big time. Stop being gross.
