#Toontown rewritten cogs

Could you elaborate on how you think cogs are less appreciated? (in reference your comment on that poll)

Cogs are taken advantage of at their job-- even for robots! They're always walking around the streets on business (guarding the streets or entering cog buildings or spawning them, etc.) They never have a moment off, and presumably when they fly away from a street they go back to work or MAYBE if the cogs have to charge themselves at the end of the day, even then it's not much rest.

Then Toons insult them for doing their jobs (granted I wouldn't stop doing so either, guess that makes me evil?) like they're basically just getting paid minimum wage for this harassment, and the cogs are also not allowed to be unique either, there's other cogs just like them everywhere, exact carbon copies of them, and they're forced to only say certain phrases in public for good company appearances. The Minglers are also in an MLM scheme, and presumably at least some other sellbots might be as well, don't get me started on the boiler and field offices/buildings unless you're willing to hear even longer explanations.

I am so happy that I took a crack at drawing the Big Boys from Toontown, it was genuinely fun to figure out how to draw some of them (they are not easy, but I think I managed to knock em out of the park!) Of course I couldn't be a TTCC fan without including the big lady herself as well!

COG ATTACK TRADING CARDS #1 - 15

I spent many many hours of my child life playing Toontown Online when it was ran by Disney, and many many hours of my adult life playing it now that it's entirely ran by fans for free. It's a game about cartoon animals fighting corporate robot bad guys called Cogs. The toon animals use comedy gags like throwing pies to fight the cogs, but the cogs themselves have attacks that are visual interpretations of business jargon but used offensively. Though the objective of the combat is to stay alive, it's funny to think about the millions of other players going 'oh no! not the paradigm shift! Not the water cooler!! Not the rolodex!!!' as the cogs attacked their characters. Back when Disney ran the game, they'd send out newsletters (which I have!) and trading cards (which I don't have) to members. The trading cards would be for things like the gags, the cogs, and important NPCs - but never the cog attacks. This is me filling this niche while drawing fan art for something I'm a fan of. It's a silly little passion project. I even wrote all the words on the backs.

I've already come to terms with the fact it's my very own Megalopolis - across other platforms if I were to look at the numbers critically I'd say these were... flops. But I enjoyed making them, and I'll make a post of my favourites at one point. If these find an audience here, I will cry happy tears - if not, then I've learnt a lesson from doing this.
