As a non-binary bilingual who had to suffer through at least 12 years of French conjugation I agree that as a language it’s pretty overhyped and frustatingly binary-gendered at that.

However one thing I do geniually find beautiful in French is the meaning behind one of two common ways to say goodbye:                      «  Au revior  ��

«  Revior  » Literally translates to “Re-See”. It’s not groundbreaking or anything I just think there’s something nice about a very common and casual way of saying goodbye that when you think about, isn’t really saying “goodbye” as much as it’s saying “untill we see eachother again”.
