Based on this post I made on here years ago after Homecoming came out. Apparently I started a fic about it around the same time, and I'm not sure what got into me but 7 years and 7k words later, it's a completed work full of Irondad fluff, a little Irondad angst, Pepper being adorably flustered, and plenty of Tony & Peter being allergic to their feelings.

Major Study Project – Research log 2

Inspiration

Since I nailed down the kind of project I’m going for, the next step is to wrack my brain and the internet for inspiration. When I think of a hangar, I automatically though of Sci-fi which leads to Star Wars and eventually leading to building a sci fi hangar. I did a Gundam (robot) in my previous assignment and I though it would be cool to build a hanger that house my Gundam. 2 Hangar that I drew inspiration from was Kingsman: The Golden Circle and Captain Marvel. Each movie features their take of a sci-fi looking hanger and got me captivated.

I like the fact that how unorthodox a hangar is built inside a restrictive location such as inside a cave or mountain. What fascinates me was the fact that how we are mass clearing vegetation and nature to construct and built high-rise building and manufacturing plant. As for huge mountains, we have no simple solution but to integrate them (nature/mountains) into our design plans. The integration of both nature and man-made structure is what captivates my attention and I wanted to create an environment piece that showcase this integration.

The Gundam will be the main housing unit for this hangar. The hangar’s design must follow closely to the design of the Gundam so the whole environment piece will not look out of place. The maintenance “cage” will need to be build around my Gundam and this cage serve as a first layer of sharing the same design and maintenance of my Gundam.
