Hello everyone,

I normally don’t share private things on here at all but I’m just going to post this in case I get any messages etc.

Today my dad was diagnosed with leukaemia. We are not sure how bad it is yet as he has to go in to get a sample of bone marrow taken to determine if it is acute or chronic.

Due to this I don’t know if I will be doing any writing for the near future. I’ll still be lingering around to talk, answer asks and chat to my mutuals and reblog some stuff etc but writing for me right now is just basically impossible.

I am still working out what to feel as this news has been quite a lot to take in today and I do often struggle expressing emotions freely. I most likely won’t do any updates on this as I don’t like sharing things too personal. I’m only stating this to let people know why I will most likely be absent from writing for a while.

there doesn’t need to be revisionism, either. it’s okay if you didn’t see it coming. it’s okay if you liked or admired someone before finding out. it doesn’t villainize or victimize you. you are not guilty by association. don’t make this about you. it isn’t.

but if you’re defending them or their actions after? you’re now part of the problem.

support, protect, and boost the voices of those in our community who deserve it. show up for the POC/BIPOC/marginalized folk in our community. don’t give a voice to those who would willingly or carelessly cause harm.
