“Ignore him,” Sakura said dryly, keeping her eyes on the shelvesas she perused Tenten’s shop. She stopped on a particularly fine tachi. “It’swhat I do.”

“How does he even find you?” Tenten asked, sharp eyes followingToneri as he watched Sakura from outside the shop. “You live on the oppositeside of the village.”

“He’s a sensor nin,” Sakura replied, testing the edge of thetachi. It drew blood as she grinned. “Did you import this from Iron?”

“Of course,” Tenten said, lifting the blade and showing Sakura theinsignia left by the swordsmith. “Fire hasn’t quite reached the level ofsmithing techniques that Iron has.” Her brown eyes flashed. “I’ll be changingthat.”

“I know you will, Tenten,” Sakura said before shaking her head. “Ihave to go by the Tower. Kakashi-sensei is avoiding paperwork again and I’vebeen requested to…corral him.”

“And Toneri won’t be able to follow you,” Tenten said with a smirk.

“You’ve got it in one,” Sakura said. “I’ll see you later, Tenten.”

Tenten waved her off and Sakura made her way outside, avoidingToneri’s bright and avid gaze. She turned down a side street, resisting theurge to sigh as Toneri fell into step beside her.

He leaned down closer to her height, looking into her face.

Sakura glanced at him out of the corner of her eyes. “What?”

“What?” he replied back, though Sakura saw the grin tugging at hislips, happy he’d gotten a rise out of her.

“Why do you insist on following me around Konoha?”

“You’re interesting.”

“Interesting?” Sakura asked, not sure whether to find the monikerdistasteful or not.

“Entertaining.”

Sakura scowled. She definitely didn’t care for that. She was able to leave offresponding as Anbu appeared around her, clamping strong hands down on Toneri’sshoulders.

“Time for us to part I suppose,” Toneri said, wistful.

Sakura turned and walked on toward the Tower, ignoring him.

“I’ll see you soon!”

Plot

Hamura x Sakura headcanon (protective from another life conection or something- is it weird?) or Toneri x Sakura, you don't have idea of how much I love you

Hamura X Sakura:

- It wasn’t love so much as interest that flooded him the first time he saw her through the eyes of the young Hyuuga heir as she happily welcomed the girl home, a strange sense of loss surrounding the pinkette as she sold back and let her teammate and the girl hold each other. Interesting.

- He hadn’t intended to stay with the Hyuuga girl for so long, but the more he saw of the pinkette, the more interested he became. Her dedication to her friends, her ability to heal even the most fatal of wounds, even her seemingly fractured happiness drew him closer, his unnoticed spirit compelling the Hyuuga heir to spend more time with each the girl.

-It was an incident in the hospital that finally introduced them to each other, her near empty chakra reserves nearly killing her until he’d shifted his spirit from the young Hyuuga and into the Haruno instead. And her mind was…not what he’d expected, that was for sure, but with the ability to finally speak to the young woman, came a whole new problem for him.

- Attachment, affection, fondness, love, whatever you may call it, he felt it towards the young woman, and he had no idea how to express such things. Or how to explain why he was so hostile towards the many men who showed interest in her.

Toneri X Sakura:

- Being blind, Toneri has developed a rather bad habit of being rather…handsy with the pinkette (And only with her for some reason) claiming it was so he could ‘see’. Everyone else knew it was because he liked riling her up, but they weren’t going to do anything and draw either of the two frightening nins ire.

- He’d been introduced to her properly after Naruto managed to convert him into a ‘friend’ with one of his many friendship/good overcomes evil speeches ( she had no idea how that kept working to be honest but whatever) and the man was near instantly goading her and trying to rile her up. Coincidentally, their first meeting was also the first time she punched him through a wall.

- Yet, despite all her misgivings about the man, he could be a gentleman when the situation called for it. (Also one with her it seemed, as he’d more than once pointedly ignored Ino and Hinata and Naruto in favour of pulling her to the next stall in the market, questioning her on what it was this one was selling without so much as a backwards glance at the person he’d just essentially blown off)

- And as flustered as it made her sometimes, having the attractive man almost loom over her while out shopping after work or training was soothing, the very area around them going quiet as the regal looking man glared unseeingly at everyone around them. It also helped that he kept her newly acquired fanboys away. Naruto muttered about him being a jealous bastard, Sakura just called him an idiot who didn’t know the meaning of personal space.
