Ultra Hero Fact File 8: Ultraman Taro part 2 Taro was 12,000 when he came to earth, but had aspirations to follow his family into the Space Garrison at an early age. At about 3,000, inspired presumably largely by Zoffy and Seven, a young Taro was training out in the wild, and once fought the peaceful Kaiju, Dokkun. He was part of the Space Garrison by the time his elder brother was on earth, fighting off invading armies, and his father, knowing of Judah's impending return, trained him to absorb energy with his horns. This ability became useful in his first official battle with the Ultra Brothers, against Judah's creation Grand King, when he absorbed the Brothers to become a Super Ultraman and defeat Grand King, destroying in with the Cosmo Miracle Ray. After separating from Kotaro, Taro did not return to earth for 30 years, during which time he became the chief instructor for the Space Garrison after Seven became trapped on earth. It was in this capacity that he trained his apprentice, Mebius. Taro first returned alongside Zoffy to restore the brothers and help them and Mebius battle U-Killersaurus, giving Mebius their power to do so. He returned again not long after, intending to replace Mebius on earth due to the greater threat of the Emperor Seijin's forces, but agreed to leave earth to Mebius after he successfully defeated the Imperialiser. Centuries later Taro continued to serve as head instructor to a new generation of Ultra Warriors, working with Ace, Mebius and Hikari during the Ghost Rebirth crisis. When Belial was freed he was the first to fight him, and used his Ultra Dynamite to preserve the embers of the Plasma Spark. When Ultraman, Seven and Mebius came to him he was able to restore their ability to transform. When the Darkclops invaded he helped defend his home. Taro was the only combatant in the Dark Spark War, aside from two unknown entities, to not be completely frozen by the event. While trapped as a Spark Doll, he remained conscious and able to move, even able to use some of his abilities. When he encountered Raidou Hikaru and the boy was able to become Ginga, he mentored the boy, and was also able to encourage Ichijouji Tomoya towards the light. The reason he remained was revealed when Dark Lugiel revived, and he was restored by the wishes of the villain's victims, fighting Lugiel until he could restore Ginga. After this, he returned to space. Two years later, becoming aware of the new events, he receives his Brothers' power and returned to Hikaru and Ginga, so he could continue to advise them. When the battle was finally won, he left for home once more, restored.
