Waiting for Godot was an AMAZING experience - and my boychild's first Big Theatre Show. Lucian Msamati, Tom Edden, and Jonathan Slinger all stopped to talk with my son, and he was very excited.
But nothing topped him getting to talk to Ben Whishaw.

Hurry Up and Wait
WAITING FOR GODOT Theatre Royal Haymarket, London, Wednesday 25th September 2024 Long before I read this play during the first year of my Drama degree, I encountered an artistic expression of alienation from existence.  I’m talking about the vultures in Disney’s The Jungle Book (1967).  These mop-topped scavengers have a scene in which they struggle to find something to fill their time.  “What

Review: As You Like It, @sohoplace
Review: As You Like It, @sohoplacelondon Plays interesting with gender and access
Josie Rourke’s As You Like It plays interestingly with gender and access at the brand spanking new @sohoplace “I’ll have no husband, if you be not he” Though I’m not sure I’ll ever forgive new theatre @sohoplace for sitting on the grave of the much-loved Astoria, it really is a lovely intimate space, the Donmar on steroids with something of the aesthetic of the Bridge in there too. As You Like It

The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui review Review ( of The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui, by Brecht, at the Donmar in London. The well-known cast is led by Lenny Henry as Arturo Ui, and the play parallels the rise of Hitler with the rise of Chicago gangster, Arturo Ui.

CYRANO DE BERGERAC
The Playhouse, London, Saturday 7th December, 2019
Jamie Lloyd’s brand-new staging of Edmond Rostand’s beloved classic is not what you might expect.  Gone are the period costumes, the plumed hats, the swords.  There is not even a nose – we are left to imagine the legendary proboscis.  We are left to imagine most of it.
The stage is just about bare: a white box with the odd

my hopeful dream casts for Wicked London:
Carley Stenson (currently playing Fantine in Les Misérables) as Elphaba. She has a SUPER POWERFUL voice and excellent acting skills.
Rosalie Craig (currently playing Bobbie in Company) as Elphaba. She’s insanely talented and can captivate an audience like no one else. She should get all the leading roles.
Lisa O’Hare as Glinda. Her soprano is out of this world and she’s an extremely skilled actress who does not lack comedic timing.
Laura Baldwin (last seen in playing Janey in Eugenius, soon to play Dawn in Waitress) as Glinda. I think she has all the kindness and goodness that comes with playing Glinda and a very strong voice. Her acting is flawless and detailed.
Joe Vetch (currently playing Feuilly in Les Misérables) as Fiyero. He has a very strong voice, esp his vibrato, and he is extremely pretty and tall. I think he would absolutely nail it as yero my hero.
Raymond Walsh (currently playing Grantaire in Les Misérables) as Boq. I just think the world needs an Irish Boq.
Tom Edden (last seen playing Mr Wormwood in Matilda) as The Wizard. Idk I think he’s super good at being slimy and I could 100% see him as the ultimate slimy boy.
(in like 15 years Sadie Victoria Lim as Glinda. that kid has TALENT)
those are just a few ideas and there are others I’d love to see on that stage but this is what came to mind now.

Addezine - Stairs (Indie Pop)
Tumblr media

“Edden!” she shouted into the snowy darkness. “I know who killed Kisten. He’s down here. Bring me another flashlight.”
Chapter 32 summary: Rachel wakes up just in time to see people hauling Mia away. Ford promises to take care of Holly until such a time that Mia can come and get her. But he also explains what we've already figured out: Holly was sucking all of the excess emotions from Ford, and leaving him only with his own.
He comes over to Rachel and explains that he felt Tom die. Then he felt as Al pushed Pierce into Tom's empty corpse, and that's who he took away. Rachel can't find it in herself to give a shit about Tom's death.
Tom helps her upstairs, where they meet up with Ivy and Edden. Rachel explains everything to them. But as Edden leaves to do something, Rachel tells Ivy about her suddenly recovered memories. She says that the vampire who killed Kist was covered in the same dust as down in the tunnels, which is a pretty strong indication that he's probably down there right now. But she goes on and says that Kist did it not only for Rachel, but to protect Ivy as well. Because this guy had a vendetta against Ivy, and would have taken her too, if not for Piscary. Ivy figures out that if the guy didn't visit Piscary in prison, then it must mean that he was in prison with Piscary.
