FIRST LOOK Concept Art for the Animated #TeenageMutantNinjaTurtles Movie produced by Seth Rogan & Directed by Jeff Rowe.. They have definitely lost their muscle power since their dramatic 1980s inception..

Apart of the new appeal will be.. villains. They are branding it Turtlemania.. 

Paramount announced that Jeff Rowe  is directing the aforementioned animated film for 2023 release in theaters, and a series of TMNT villains movies are also coming soon..

This “series of villain-driven TMNT films” will be made exclusively for the Paramount+ streaming service, Paramount announced last night as part of a social media presentation.

Baxter Stockman Fly would be in itself a great movie..

Just not sure about this concept art at this point. A lot of comments online are calling it fun and more in tune with the teenage male of the modern era.. others are a big worried of potential “wokeism” and other modern day rages of the socials.. 

Time will tell if Seth Rogan has as much luck with this TNMT redo as he did with this Christmas story... in that instance he lashed out at critics of his show as racists..

Thelreads, Vigilantes 9.5, Replies part 1

1) “I’m a manhole cover At the middle of the street Hiding the sewer below All free for you to walk on I’m a manhole cover What else should I be? Please don’t take me off the ground Revealing crap”- I’m singing this to the tune of the TNMT theme song, since it serves as another oblique hint as to who Strendal really is before he gets blatant with his quirk ability. Heck, Spinner, Stain’s eventual devotee, even basically looks like a/ practically is a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle, just not the right species.

2) “If Overhaul shows up I’m going to just scream and refuse to say anything else until the chapter is over, okay? From the list of villains I don’t want to see or think about, he’s almost at the top.

I’m warning you Author, don’t you dare.”- I’m guessing you weren’t expecting the other villain who’s actually at the top of your list to show up instead. Funny how that works out, isn’t it?

3) “And its pretty much what I said, to him, they are just going around, living their lives, even if society think of them as criminals, they are just walking their path, with their heads high”- Rojiya comes across to me as basically a cross between Steve Rodgers and Kazuma Kiryu, just guys trying to live their lives to the best of their ideals as possible, even when those ideals run counter to what the world expects of them, and whom are loyal to their friends to a fault. Just, decent men, regardless of what you think of them. Unfortunately, Strendal makes it quite clear what he thinks of them….

4) “He also is guaranteed to be dead by the end of the chapter, probably due to high-fives, simply because he’s too cool and badass to be left alive. The world could collapse, as that guy in the back is afraid of, because jesus is that an anxious face if I ever saw one; dude looks almost like a racoon, and I say that even with my own eye bags.”-Would you say that he looks like a ….Rocket Racoon? Plus, you can even see the star symbol on Steve’s shield on Rojiya’s jacket here. Furuhashi was not being subtle about his inspirations this chapter.

5) “OH, OKAY

HE STEALS MANHOLE COVERS WHEN HE’S DRUNK, COOL, I WAS WONDERING WHAT THE FUCK THAT FIRST PANEL WAS ALL ABOUT

GLAD TO BE CLARIFIED”-Look, stuff like this is relatively banal by Yakuza series standards…though ironically for all the violent crap I’ve seen Kiryu pull off I’ve never seen him use a manhole cover to hit somebody with though. Still though, it’s nice that even if he has this particular quirk of his, the others take the time and effort to make certain nobody’s hurt by it, since they know it’s just part of who he is, even if it represents a danger to the public. Shame these guys had to bite it really, they all seem like decent folks.

6) “Are you shitting me? Is he really pulling a captain America here? For fuck’s sake, just aim at his legs, it’s not that hard”-You see? You figured out the inspiration before the chapter spelled it out for you! You can trust your gut instinct more! Be the among us champion! Point the finger of blame on your first guess, you’re most likely correct!

7) “Also, dude is a fucking tank, carrying around 40kg like that, holy shit.”-Given both his implied inspirations, it seems like his quirk is just basic strength enhancement along a similar line as Izuku’s full cowling- which lends credence to what Gran Torino said when he claimed Strain was holding back on Izuku because he considered him a true hero, because he we see what happens to somebody with a similar power set that he doesn’t.

8) “Oh I think I know to whom those boots belong to, alright. Oh thank Christ it’s Stendhal the one that the tittle referred to because I was about to be really fucking pissed if Overhaul showed up, even if it was for a single millisecond.”-well, it’s a choice between Stain and Overhaul, so I guess you picked stain in the end- though that doesn’t preclude Overhaul from getting a cameo appearance as well down the line, it’s just that Stain came first because of his similar job type compared to Koichi

9) “OH HOLY FUCK ARE WE GOING TO SEE STENDHAL WITHOUT HIS MASK?!”-no, but as it turns out, he’s got other methods of being super-recognisable.

10) “TIME TO SHOW MAN-HOLE MAN WHO’S STRONGER

AND I’M BETTING ON THE MAN WITH THE POWER OF GOD AND ANIME ON HIS SIDE”- Actually, as it turns out Rojiya is the stronger one, backed up by his allies and working and tandem with them, whereas Strendal always has and always will fight alone, because nobody else fully understands or accepts his insane viewpoint. Befitting the fact that his quirk is super-weak in multi-person brawls, Strendal only wins this one because of careful planning and preparation ahead of time- things he abandoned when he fell down to become the villain Stain, hence why the exact same issue ends up overwhelming him against the much younger and lesser numbers he faces against Izuku and the rest.

11) “Easy there dude, those sunglasses are expensive, you know? Christ, a guy comes crashing through your window and you just start breaking your own shit like that? what the hell is wrong with you?”-He’s basically tony stark, he probably owns the entire branch that makes the sunglasses.

12) “OH JESUS WHY

I DO HOPE THAT HIS QUIRK IS STOP HIMSELF FROM BEING STABBED IN THE EYE BECAUSE THAT’S APPARENTLY STENDHAL’S TRADEMARKED MOVE”- Luckily it is exactly that. In fact, you could even say that his quirk makes him into…a man of iron. But yeah, it seems the most effective make Strendal can make with his dinky little knives is to throw them as distractions, to get small blood samples he can use his quirk on or blind an opponent, since they’re too small to seriously damage an opponent on their own. In fact, Strendal is much less armed and armoured than Stain was, having just the knives strapped to the front of his chest and the katana to attack with, as opposed to Stain’s spiked boots, multiple knives, machetes and the like.

 Strendal looks more neat and orderly, as befitting his current status as somebody who looks like and believes he is a hero, but this also means he’s not as dangerous as he will become as Stain, who has discarded appearances for the sake of purpose, hence him arming himself near-literally to the teeth with blades. This is a good thing for Koichi as it means Strendal is probably easier to fight than Stain, but this is counter-balanced by the fact that Koichi can barely fight on his own in the first place, hence Strendal still having the same threat level towards him as Stain did to Izuku despite the difference in each persona’s attacking capabilities.

13) “the… the avengers… showed up… at this manga…

I… I need a moment…”-And it’s not even the most shocking moment in this chapter, even!

14) “JUST LIKE THAT MANHOLE WILL GO OVER STENDHAL’S HEAD”- Actually, according to the fan translation, it’s supposed to go through his neck, since Rojiya’s quirk allows him to basically throw it fast enough to decapitate a man, which I guess explains his preference for heavy, weighty objects that have a perfect throwing form- hard to make something like that via black-market contacts, but luckily the city provides.

15) “OH ITS HAPPENING

HE’S TAKING OFF THE MASK! IT’S HAPPENING!”-Hahahahaha….no
