I recently realized that my default version of Feanor and Nerdanel's wedding may be colored by my family history. So:
#Tolkien#Poll avoidance#For the record my vote is planned elopement#To avoid family drama (for Feanor) and an uncomfortable public display (for Nerdanel)#...because my parents eloped because a more traditional wedding would be too much fuss#(At one point I told my grandmother that of I got married I would also elope#She told me that was fine but I had to invite *her* because she wasn't invited to mom's wedding#Which I can fully see Finwe and/or Mahtan saying to the SoF)
