Drones, as they’re popularly known – have gone from being a fancy photographic toy to an almost ubiquitous part of the landscape.
From early uses in a purely photographic or filming capacity, providing a cheaper and safer option to get aerial shots, drones have broadened their reach to take a commanding role in many sectors, notably real estate, agriculture, film, TV – and construction.
Drone is the latest technology that has always played a vital role in the construction industry. Construction projects can be time consuming and complicated. Drones, also known as unmanned aerial vehicles, can help simplify and streamline many aspects of a project.
In the construction industry, drones have widespread uses. They are used amongst
Residential construction and realtor services
Commercial construction: project managers, superintendents, and surveyors

Timelapse People: Setting trends in photography & construction industry
Timelapse has been one of the upcoming genres in the photography industry but is equally an important task to get done with. For those, who have no idea, timelapse photography is that genre of photography which is done on a long term scale and a number of continuous shots of a scene are taken at regular intervals. All these shots then assembled together to be played on a designated frame rate in order to be viewed as a movie. Being a complex task in itself, timelapse photography is only be done by the experts with the right techniques and methods and Timelapse People (www.timelapsepeople.com) has it all.
The goal has always been to change the perception of many towards the timelapse photography and its use in practical business world and Timelapse People has just integrated the two fields, i.e. timelapse photography and the construction videos. There have been many companies lately who have been paying videographers to shoot their construction movie in order to get something to present them in the market. The timelapse videos has been in the industry for a while now but nobody has seen the timelapse of building construction before and that’s how Timelapse People got the nerve and merged the two in a way which has never been observed before anywhere.
Established in 2007, Timelapse People has served a number of clients ever since and provided them their property’s timelapse video. When you get in touch with them with your timelapse video needs, they first observe the area around and set the equipments up at a suitable location in order the get the most ideal and wider view. The team can establish the own platform for the camera equipment in order to keep it surviving throughout the shoot. The dedicated team works on the server the cameras are connected to and fetch the images and manage them in precise order.
These timelapse videos of construction have turned out to be the best marketing tools even since the construction company involved in the project can use it to show it to the potential clients. Since timelapse is a task in itself, getting the years of construction work assembled into a minute of video has just set a trend in the photography world. Having worked with almost all sorts of clients throughout Dubai, Timelapse People has shot for airports, hospitals, commercial and residential buildings. All those videos and past work can be seen on the company’s website. So when you plan to hire them but not sure about their work, you can scroll through the website and find the videos easily.

This ‘Flow Motion’ Timelapse is an Eye-Popping Tour of a 1096 Cathedral http://ift.tt/2w6LDSf
Photographer Rob Whitworth has created some of the most popular timelapse videos ever using his trademark “flow motion” techniques. His whirlwind tour of Dubai has been viewed millions of times across the Web. For his latest flow motion, Whitworth focused on a much smaller subject: a cathedral built in 1096.
The Norwich Cathedral in Norwich, Norfolk, England, was constructed in 1096 and dominates the skyline of the city, which is Whitworth’s hometown. The cathedral is one of the Norwich 12 heritage sites.
The 2-minute video above is “probably the world’s first cathedral flow motion,” Whitworth says.
“Something of a passion project for me, getting to shoot my home town and capture it in its best light,” writes Whitworth. “Was super cool getting to explore all the secret areas whilst working on the video.”
The short film takes us in and around the beautiful building with transitions that will dazzle your eyes and befuddle your brain.

Drone Film Festival Australia + New Zealand 2016 Official Selection. Sand & the City is a video from a recent trip to Dubai. This time I combine aerial & ground footage as well as timelapses. Information: 50Gb of data shoot on 4 locations: desert, downtown of Dubai, outskirts of Dubai and Dubai metro. Aerial video shoot with DJI Phantom 3 Professional and ground video with Canon 70D and Sony a6000, timelipses created with Canon. The video was edited in Adobe Premier with some tweaks in After Effects. Colour correction made in Premier, then I added additional sounds in Audition, then back to Premier for final grading and after that some little flare were added in After Effects.
