Fantastic rarities! Thanks to The Guardian!
- Ariyon Bakare as Hermes and Law as the foundling son of Apollo in Ion at the Barbican, London, in 1994. Michael Billington said the RSC’s revival of Euripides’ subversive family romance confirmed Law’s star status.
- Law starred with Emma Amos in The Fastest Clock in the Universe by Philip Ridley at Hampstead theatre, London, in 1992. Law’s character Foxtrot Darling was a schoolboy visiting an ageing narcissist who is terrified of growing old. Photograph: Tristram Kenton for the Guardian Facebook Twitter Pinterest
- Jude Law as Blaise and Adam Magnani as Sebbie in Snow Orchid by Joseph Pintauro at the Gate theatre, London, in 1993. Directed by Tim Luscombe, it was London Gay Theatre Company’s last show, after four sell-out productions in four years.
- Law with Lynsey Baxter in Les Parents Terribles at the Lyttelton theatre, London, in 1994. It was his breakthrough role after leaving school at 16 and winning a small part in the TV soap Families. After Les Parents Terribles transferred to New York, he won a Tony nomination for best supporting actor.
