Triumph Raises The Bar New Tiger 900 Range For 2024
Delivering more power, torque, capability and comfort, the new Tiger 900 range from Triumph Motorcycles is raising the bar for middleweight adventure bikes in 2024. The new line-up includes the Tiger 900 GT, GT Pro and Rally Pro, each providing a significant step-up in performance and specification.
The Tiger 900’s trademark three-cylinder engine has received a major update, including revised engine components, which provides 13% more power than the previous generation, giving 108PS of peak power and a higher peak torque of 90Nm. The new engine also offers greater tractability lower in the rev range. With its T-plane crank and offset firing intervals, the Tiger 900 maintains its characterful and distinctive performance and sound, as well as achieving enhanced performance throughout the whole rev range and up to 9% better fuel economy. All-new active safety features provide more capability across the range, including enhanced braking for better control and reduced stopping distances, and a new emergency deceleration warning system, which activates the hazard lights when braking rapidly and automatically deactivates when you pull away. New marker lights provide a prominent silhouette especially at night and in poor visibility. The new range also features new 7” TFT instruments, with new graphics and menu system and a new USB-C cockpit charger, as well as My Triumph Bluetooth connectivity as standard on all models. The new rider seat is flatter and roomier, with heated seats on both Pro models, designed specifically to provide more long-distance comfort. With 20mm adjustability on the seat height for all models, and an accessory heated low rider seat available which reduces the seat height by a further 20mm. This offers GT models with a potential seat height as low as 800mm, which combined with the narrow stand over width, improves accessibility. A new damped handlebar mounting system creates a more comfortable ride, plus the enhanced handlebar position on the Rally Pro, with the bars 15mm closer, facilitates a more agile ride while sitting or standing. Bringing even more Tiger attitude, the 2024 range has new bodywork across the beak, cockpit and side panels in an integrated design that gives each motorcycle an aggressive, adventure focused stance. New contemporary and dynamic paint schemes and graphics complete the look. A new Akrapovič silencer heads up the comprehensive list of more than 50 accessories, plus customers can choose from four tailored accessory packs, the Performance, Protection, Trekker and Expedition kits.
The new range retains all of the Tiger 900’s class-leading specification: - Optimised cornering ABS and traction control with IMU - Up to six riding modes including Road, Rain, Sport and Off-Road, plus Rider Configurable for the GT Pro and Rally Pro, and Off-Road Pro for the Rally Pro only - All-LED lighting, including signature DRL headlight and compact taillight (Position light rather than DRL in US, CN, JP) - Triumph Shift Assist (GT Pro & Rally Pro) - Heated grips and seats (GT Pro & Rally Pro) - Illuminated switches - Tyre pressure monitoring system (GT Pro & Rally Pro) - Brembo Stylema® Monobloc brakes - Model-specific premium specification suspension tuned for maximum road & off-road capability - The GT features Marzocchi 45mm USD fully adjustable cartridge forks, rear suspension unit with manually adjustable preload and rebound damping and 180mm fork travel & 170mm rear wheel travel - The GT Pro features Marzocchi 45mm USD fully adjustable cartridge forks, rear suspension unit with electronically adjustable preload and rebound damping and 180mm fork travel & 170mm rear wheel travel - The Rally Pro benefits from Showa 45mm USD fully adjustable cartridge forks with manual preload, rebound and compression damping and a rear suspension unit with fully adjustable manual preload and rebound damping, 240mm fork travel & 230mm rear wheel travel - Lightweight modular frame - Adjustable screen & 20mm adjustable seat height - 20 litre fuel tank
Tiger 900 Rally Pro MORE PERFORMANCE Unique to Triumph, the T-plane crank engine with its 1,3,2 firing order and distinctive, raspy triple exhaust bark, has been further developed for the new Tiger 900 range. Engine revisions have resulted in a power increase of 13% taking the Tiger 900 from 95PS to an impressive 108PS. This has been achieved while gaining more torque and tractability at low RPM. The increased power can be felt throughout the rev-range, with a more muscular mid-range and improved acceleration. On the road the new Tiger 900 is agile and easy to ride at low speeds, but with plenty of performance for rapid bursts of acceleration and effortless high-speed touring. In more technical off-road situations, the fine throttle control is intuitive and confidence-inspiring. Each model benefits from a specific suspension set-up, designed to meet the needs of the rider for each model. The GT is fitted with high-quality Marzocchi™ suspension with adjustable compression and rebound damping. With 180mm of fork travel and 170mm of rear wheel travel, the set-up has been tuned specifically for the GT to deliver excellent road handling and long-ride comfort with the capability to tackle off-road terrain. The GT Pro also uses Marzocchi™ suspension. Fully adjustable forks are matched to an electronically adjustable rear suspension unit — this allows for easy and convenient preload adjustments at the touch of a button to suit riders travelling solo, with a pillion or fully loaded. The Rally Pro uses Showa™ suspension, offering riders full adjustability and a generous 240mm front and 230mm rear wheel travel. This high-quality progressive suspension set-up provides capability and versatility on all roads. Complementing this specific suspension, the road-focused GT and GT Pro have lightweight cast alloy wheels, 19” at the front and 17” at the rear, for the perfect balance between road handling and off-road capability. The Rally Pro uses tubeless spoked wheels with a 21” front for pure off-road performance and features a broad tyre choice. Best in class Brembo Stylema™ brake calipers are fitted to all three new Tiger 900 models, ensuring effective stopping power and a sensitive lever feel that helps to keep braking powerful, smooth and controlled.
Tiger 900 GT Pro MORE CAPABILITY The new Tiger 900 for 2024 features new active safety features to improve visibility on the road, including a new emergency deceleration warning system, which activates the hazard lights when braking rapidly and automatically deactivates when you pull away. In addition, new marker lights provide a prominent silhouette especially at night and in poor visibility. Optimised cornering ABS and Traction Control comes as standard across all three Tiger 900 models. Together with the ride-by-wire throttle, the level of assistance can be altered with four different standard riding modes — Road, Rain, Sport and Off-Road. The GT Pro has five modes with the additional Rider Programmable mode allowing fine tuning to suit the rider’s preferences and riding style. The Rally Pro has six modes with the extra Off-Road Pro mode disabling ABS and traction control completely to allow the Tiger 900 Rally Pro’s capability to be fully utilised off road. The new enhanced braking system automatically balances front and rear braking effort, working in harmony with the optimised cornering ABS system, to improve stability under hard braking while significantly reducing stopping distances. Triumph’s Slip and Assist clutch system is fitted to all three Tiger 900 models, giving light clutch lever action to reduce rider fatigue, especially for congested urban riding conditions and for technical off-road riding. This system also improves rear wheel control under rapid deceleration, assisting with smooth and assured corner entry on a range of surfaces. The Pro models are also equipped with the Triumph Shift Assist system. This allows clutch-less gear changes both up and down the gearbox for seamless acceleration and super-smooth deceleration. The My Triumph Connectivity System is now standard on all Tiger 900 models. Music, phone and turn by turn navigation can all be accessed via the new intuitive and easy-to-read 7” TFT display which is bonded to the glass for a crisp, non-reflective image. Heated grips and seats plus a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) are also standard on both Pro models.
Tiger 900 Rally Pro MORE ALL-DAY COMFORT The seat has been redesigned for enhanced long-distance comfort whilst retaining the ease of movement for the rider to find their perfect ergonomic position. All models feature 20mm of adjustability, as well as heated seats for both Pro models, for optimum comfort in all weathers. A new damped handlebar mounting system creates a more comfortable ride, while the handlebar position on the Rally Pro has been moved back by 15mm. This slight reduction in reach improves seated comfort while also improving rider control and bike agility in the standing position when riding off-road. Even the shape of the 20-litre fuel tank has been carefully considered to provide the perfect seated riding position without compromising control when standing. An adjustable screen with five settings spanning 50mm, ensures all riders can enjoy excellent high-speed wind protection.
Tiger 900 GT Pro MORE ATTITUDE The aggressive Tiger styling and distinctive adventure-focused stance has been revised and sharpened. The new bodywork now has a cleaner, more integrated design that flows beautifully from the beak, through the cockpit and into the side panels. Three striking new paint schemes and graphics are available for each model. The GT and GT Pro are available in Snowdonia White as standard, with two premium paint options, Graphite and Sapphire Black, and Carnival Red and Sapphire Black. The Rally Pro is available in Carbon Black and Sapphire Black, with the option to upgrade to the striking Ash Grey and Intense Orange or Matt Khaki Green and Matt Phantom Black.
Tiger 900 GT Pro ACCESSORIES Over 50 accessories and four accessory kits are available for the new Tiger 900 range. The fully loaded Performance accessory pack includes a brand new Akrapovič silencer, the first of a number of new exhaust systems developed in partnership. With a lightweight titanium design with carbon end caps, the new silencer delivers a 1kg weight saving and an even better sound. The pack also includes front and rear scrolling indicators with new marker light feature, and billet machined adventure footpegs. The Protection Pack showcases key practical accessories, lower and upper engine bar kits, tank pad, sump guard, fork protectors, radiator guard and for off-road, a headlight guard kit. The Trekker and Expedition packs provide two distinct, tailored luggage options for extended touring or off-road adventures.
Tiger 900 Rally Pro ON THE ROAD Triumph’s Chief Product Officer Steve Sargent said: “The Tiger 900 already has an excellent reputation as an award-winner and rally competitor, enjoying success against production motorcycles as well as purpose-built off-road machines. In fact, the Tiger 900 Rally Pro was used by World Enduro Champion Iván Cervantes, securing champion titles at the Baja Aragón Rally, 1000 Dunas Raid and Bassela Enduro in 2022. “With such an impressive pedigree, we needed to set ourselves a high target to improve the new Tiger 900. We were focused on raising the game in the middleweight category all over again. As a result, we’ve delivered a significant step-up, with more performance, more capability, more all-day comfort, and an aggressive style and poise.” The Tiger 900 GT will start from £12,195 OTR, the Tiger 900 GT Pro from £13,895 OTR and the Tiger 900 Rally Pro from £14,495 OTR. (Market to update) Orders can be placed now at Triumph dealers, with bikes available for delivery from early 2024.

Triumph reveals more about the all-new Tiger 1200. with shaft drive
By: AdvWisdom Title: Triumph reveals more about the all-new Tiger 1200. with shaft drive Sourced From: advwisdom.com/a/triumph-reveals-more-about-the-all-new-tiger-1200-with-shaft-drive/ Published Date: Thu, 16 Sep 2021 12:39:54 +0000
Triumph has released a few more pictures of the new Tiger 1200 in action and at the same time revealed more about what we can expect from the big adventure bike.
The Tiger is still in its final prototype testing phase, and the Hinckley-based maker is keeping its cards close to its chest for the time being when it comes to full specs. But the new photos show it being ridden and leaping in a rage in what looks like Triumph’s Adventure Center in Swansea.
In addition to the pictures, the manufacturer teased us with a few more references to the big adventure bike. This includes performance statistics and a nod to the bike it sees as the Tiger’s closest competition.
What else do we know?
First, it is confirmed that the new bike will be shaft driven. This means that the Tiger 1200 will be the only other large displacement adventure motorcycle on the market alongside BMW’s R 1250 GS that will be popular with anyone looking for a mess-free alternative to messy chain drives.
But that’s not all. Although the Hinckley-based maker didn’t mention BMW by name, it teased that the Tiger will “deliver more power and character than its closest competition, the only other shaft-driven bike in its class.”
Character is hardly a quantifiable statistic, but power is. That means we expect the new bike to be more than the GS’s 136hp.
Of course, horsepower isn’t everything when it comes to engines, and Triumph has confirmed that the 1200 will feature the T-Plane crankshaft already found on the new Tiger 900 range of motorcycles.
This was a new introduction for the Tiger range in 2019. Triumph claimed it improved the character of its engines, delivered a better soundtrack from the exhaust, and also brought the low torque of a two-cylinder engine.
I’ve ridden both the Tiger 900 Rally Pro and Tiger 850 Sport for the past two years, which come with the T-Plane crank, and both bikes deliver lots of torque and a crisp sound from the bottom line. With that experience in mind, I’m pretty excited to see how the approach works in an even bigger engine.
When can we expect the new Tiger 1200 in the UK?
We’re not sure when we’ll see the new yet triumph Tiger 1200 at UK dealers.
However, we keep our fingers crossed that we can throw our legs over the new adventure bike at the end of the year or the beginning of 2022. APR Subscribers will be the first to hear our full review and verdict.
For now, subscribe to the ABR Bulletin on the right side of this page for weekly updates, news, inspiration for riding and much more from the world of adventure bikes.

New Post has been published on https://magzoso.com/tech/trump-lashes-out-at-social-media-companies-over-political-censorship/
Trump Lashes Out at Social Media Companies Over 'Political Censorship'
President Donald Trump on Thursday sharpened his attacks on American social media companies, calling out Google, Facebook, and Twitter by name and declaring to an Indiana crowd, “We will not let large corporations silence conservative voices.”
At a rally for Republican Senate nominee Mike Braun, Trump pledged that his administration will protect the “free speech rights of all Americans” and accused the three tech giants of favouring liberal voices over conservative ones.
“I’ve made it clear that we as a country cannot tolerate political censorship, blacklisting and rigged search results,” Trump told the crowd at the Ford Center.
The broadside came two days after Trump’s top economic adviser, Larry Kudlow, said the administration would explore regulating Google in response to the president’s allegation that the search giant manipulates its search results, a move that drew rebukes from free-speech advocates as well as members of both parties.
Some conservative media outlets have recently stepped up their accusations that Google’s search results are biased, and the topic was recently featured by Fox Business Network host Lou Dobbs on his show.
Google has denied the allegations and maintains that its search results are free from political bias. In a statement earlier this week, a Google spokesperson said that “search is not used to set a political agenda and we don’t bias our results toward any political ideology.”
Trump was visiting the state to campaign on behalf of Braun, who is aiming to unseat Sen. Joe Donnelly, D-Ind., in one of this fall’s most closely watched races.
On Thursday morning, Trump tweeted his support for Braun, whom he called “a very successful businessman.” At the rally, Trump called Braun on stage and told the crowd that “a vote for Mike Braun is a vote to – did you ever hear this before? – Make America Great Again.”
Braun returned the favour, declaring that no one on the 2016 Republican debate stage could have beaten Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton other than Trump.
“This man makes promises and keeps them,” Braun said of Trump, as the crowd roared back at his mention of Clinton by chanting, “Lock her up! Lock her up!”
Inside the at-capacity stadium, flanked by signs reading “Promises Made” and “Promises Kept” on either side of the podium, Trump also attacked Democrats as weak on immigration policy and touched on his favorite campaign-trail topic of the “fake news,” which he said comprises “85 percent” of the media – up from his estimate of 80 percent last week.
“When you get good ratings, you can say anything,” Trump said, singling out NBC in particular, which he said is “probably worse than CNN.”
He noted Republicans’ razor-thin Senate majority and told the crowd that this November, “You aren’t just voting for a candidate, you’re voting for which party controls Congress.”
“If somebody has a cold, we no longer have the majority. We need Republicans in Congress,” Trump said.
The visit to Indiana comes during a week of upheaval for Trump and amid mounting legal woes. On Wednesday, Trump announced that Donald McGahn will step down as White House counsel this fall, throwing the president’s legal team into further turmoil. With a Democratic takeover of the House this November a real possibility, some in Trump’s inner circle are worried that the president is unprepared for what could be an onslaught of congressional investigations, including potential impeachment proceedings.
Trump has also recently floated the idea of firing Attorney General Jeff Sessions and has dramatically stepped up his attacks on him for recusing himself from the special counsel probe into Russian interference in the 2016 campaign.
At Thursday’s rally, where he spoke for more than an hour, Trump renewed his attacks on the Justice Department and FBI, telling the crowd that they “have to start doing their job and doing it right and doing it now, because people are angry.”
“At some point, if it doesn’t straighten out, I will get involved, and I’ll get in there if I have to,” Trump said. “Disgraceful.”
Both Trump and Braun took aim at Donnelly, who the president said “is not going to vote for us on anything.”
In a nod to Trump’s popularity in the state, Donnelly’s campaign responded in a statement that the Indiana Democrat “voted with President Trump 62% of the time.”
“We’re always happy to have President Trump in Indiana, but Hoosiers still want a senator who always puts them first before any politician or political party,” Donnelly said. Trump won Indiana by nearly 20 percentage points in 2016.
Trump spent several minutes at the rally praising former Indiana men’s basketball coach Bobby Knight and also made a mention of Tiger Woods, whom he hailed on Twitter earlier this week for answering a reporter’s question about Trump by calling for respect for the office of the president.
“Tiger! Did you see the fake news tried to fake out Tiger? They didn’t do too well,” Trump said. “Tiger’s sharp.”
One name Trump didn’t mention during the rally was that of Sen. John McCain, the late Arizona senator and decorated Vietnam War POW with whom he frequently clashed on foreign policy, immigration and other issues. McCain died of brain cancer on Saturday at age 81.
Trump had prompted criticism with an initial tweet after McCain’s death in which he made no mention of the senator’s service in the military or on Capitol Hill, rejecting the advice of top aides who advocated releasing an official statement that gave McCain plaudits for his military and Senate service and called him a “hero.”
The president was upbraided further by lawmakers of both parties as well as the American Legion after the flag atop the White House was returned to full-staff early Monday. Hours later, Trump abruptly changed course, begrudgingly issuing a proclamation honoring McCain and calling for flags to be flown at half-staff until the senator’s interment.
Asked by Bloomberg News on Thursday whether he thought he made a mistake in his initial response to McCain’s death, Trump said, “No, I don’t think I did at all.”
He added that White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders was “having a nervous breakdown” over his response.
Despite Trump’s legal and protocol-related woes this week, rallygoers’ enthusiasm for the president remained undiminished.
“People who are seeing him for the first time tonight will leave here so excited,” said Randal Thom, an independent dog breeder who drove nearly 900 miles from Lakefield, Minnesota. “He just has such a presence.”
Thom, 58, was waving an American flag with Trump’s face on it that he said he had brought to the past 12 rallies he had attended.
Jane Stinson, of Newburgh, Indiana, described herself as an ardent Trump supporter and recent subscriber to the QAnon conspiracy theory. She supported McCain during his presidential run in 2008 but said she was disappointed with the Arizona Republican in recent years.
“He sold out the American people on health care,” she said, visibly upset as she remembered McCain’s decisive vote against repealing the Affordable Care Act. “He went against everything I stand for.”
She described Trump as a “breath of fresh air” who she praised for improving the economy, tightening borders and supporting Christians.

Deceptively stock, this 1967 Chevelle makes for one sweet sleeper
Great works of automotive art typically require two major ingredients. The first is a talented build team, experienced enough to think outside the box and ready to create a masterpiece when given the opportunity. The second is an enthusiastic owner who provides general guidance, trusts his builder’s talents, and can afford to see the project through to completion. This high-performance ’67 Chevelle is the perfect outcome from that type of collaboration.
Matt Verzi and Gavin Broome from StreetHeat in Melbourne, Florida, bring a combined 30 years of automotive experience to the table. With a dozen or more feature articles to their credit and satisfied customers in the U.S. and Europe driving their creations, the team has more than enough of the requisite skills to create award-winning rides. When friend and longtime customer Steve Hamaduk from Titusville, Florida, proposed his latest build, Matt and Gavin were up for the challenge. They had met him early in their careers and he’s been an ongoing factor in their success.
Steve works at Cape Canaveral, managing launch facilities ordinance, launch pad preparation, and in his free time oversees a collection of custom supercars for a close friend. Since Steve has been involved with racing and high-performance automobiles for decades, it was easy to blend his preferences with the StreetHeat team’s talents. Steve already had the engine and the ’67 Chevelle body, trusting the team to handle everything else. The goal for this car was to compete in a few of the high-speed, open-road and measured-mile shootouts around the country while still maintaining a deceptively low profile appearance.
The adventure began by pulling the chassis, then sandblasting and powdercoating the ’rails in gloss black. A long list of high-performance aftermarket upgrades began with a complete Hotchkis Pro+ Touring suspension package that included control arms, spindles, and ladder bars along with front and rear 1.5-inch sway bars. Additional stabilization came from Fox three-way adjustable Nitro shocks. Baer disc brakes with 13-inch rotors and dual-piston calipers up front and 12-inch rotors and single-piston calipers in the rear ensured modern stopping power. Rounding out the brake package was an E-Stopp pushbutton electric parking brake and CPP master cylinder with Hydra Stop. Once the handling and braking elements were complete, performance was next.
In one of its previous iterations, the Chevelle had been equipped with a 396 big-block. For this latest upgrade, the decision was made to bypass the popular LS swap and instead drop in a fuel-injected Merlin 540 big-block, one of the many “go big or go home” decisions that characterized this build. The plan was to create an unbreakable engine capable of big power that could be comfortably driven on the street. Vic Fera and the engine builders at Brevard Cylinder Head in Cape Canaveral, Florida, accepted the challenge, carefully modifying everything on the V-8 to achieve high output while retaining reliability.
Starting from the top and providing max airflow, the intake is a user-tunable 102mm FAST XFI 2.0 system adapted to a Hogan’s Racing intake manifold, custom engineered to squeeze under the stock hood. A cold-air kit from StreetHeat and Grumpy Jenkins port-matched and polished aluminum heads team up to ensure deep breathing. The internal goody list includes 80-lb/hr injectors, Wiseco pistons on Lunati rods and crank, a Cam Motion solid roller cam and rockers, and an MSD Pro Billet distributor with crank trigger. Scavenging spent gases begins with ceramic-coated Doug’s headers, connected to 2 1/4-inch primaries that feed 3 1/2-inch collectors. The ceramic-coated system uses MagnaFlow mufflers that struggle to manage the Merlin’s aggressive performance rumble. Brightwork in the engine bay includes the Billet Specialties TruTrac serpentine belt system as well as their custom hood hinges along with a polished master cylinder and breathers fitted to the gloss black, GM Performance valve covers. The naturally aspirated package produces 710 hp and bumps up significantly when you push the little switch that activates the hidden 150-shot of nitrous.
Dealing with the numbers from the big V-8 is a TREMEC Magnum double-overdrive six-speed transmission fitted with a custom aluminum driveshaft. It feeds a Moser 12-bolt rear with 4.11 gears and 35-spline axles. For top speed runs, the 4.11 will be swapped for 3.08 gears. The car rolls on two-piece American Racing 498 rims, 19×8 up front and 20×10 in the rear. Completing the modern handling upgrades, Continental ExtremeContact tires connect the Chevelle with the asphalt using 225/40ZR19s up front and 275/35ZR20s in the rear. Once the powertrain upgrades were complete, all the factory bushings were replaced with polyurethane prior to mounting the body to the frame.
The custom interior begins with a stainless steel RideTech eight-point Tiger Cage bolted in place. Not only does it provide protection and enhance the rigidity of the frame but it creates a unique design element throughout the interior, with the rear portions extending into the trunk. Scat Enterprises black leather Rally bucket seats feature deep side bolsters and five-point harnesses designed to keep driver and passenger safely in place. A Hurst shifter works the TREMEC. Viewed through the Billet Specialties steering wheel, the Dakota Digital VHX analog gauge package monitors the car’s vital signs while the FAST EFI touch screen data logger with 6-inch monitor records a real-time picture of the underhood action.
With the engine switched off, another level of entertainment comes into play with the Classic Autosound stereo feeding separated 6.5-inch Focal Flax component sets in the kick panels and rear package tray. Heavy-hitting bass emanates from the 10-inch trunk-mounted JL Audio W3 subwoofer on the driver-side and the JL Audio 5-Channel 900 Watt HD series amp built into the passenger-side. Custom detailing in the trunk includes an expanded metal grille and skull, the perfect place to camouflage the 150-shot nitrous bottle and Optima battery. Stereo expert Bill Bethhauser and his team at Explicit Customs in Melbourne, Florida, designed the stereo and fabricated the custom pieces to enclose the stainless steel portions of the rollbar in the trunk. The final step for the interior was StreetHeat’s installation of the Vintage Air Gen IV A/C unit that keeps the occupants cool during warm Florida summers.
Exterior changes were kept to a minimum with the gloss black body essentially stock except for giveaways like the larger size wheels, the big Baer brakes showing through, and the ominous burble of the twin pipes. The misleading 396 badge on the front fender adds to the fun at stoplights. The StreetHeat team worked six months to upgrade this high-speed traveler and it will soon be on its way to the Silver State Classic Challenge event in Ely, Nevada, hopefully traversing the 90-mile course with a winning time.
