#Tho the kids have a tendency to ask really rudely and that’s their parents fault

Is it a seasonal thing for old people to just act up and talk about peoples bodies, health, and disability aids?? Like, it happens year round, but since I’ve moved a year ago, I’ve had barely any mentions of mmy disability or crutches, but Friday, Sunday and today (Monday) I’ve had three different old people feel the need to comment on me. All of which has been disrespectful or unneccesary.
Walking into a school I work for, the woman who opened the door for me, before even saying hello, blurts out “I have to ask,” no, she really doesn’t have to, “why do you need those?”. Checking out at the grocery store, while feeling like I’m going to pass out, throw up, and was in terrible pain, a Walmart worker who I don’t recognize came up and said “You’re getting around better lately, huh?” No, no I was not. As I was talking to another person who works in this school, he said to me “Well, if they act up, you can just hit them with your sticks!” Like, no, sir, I cannot and will not hit a child with my crutches for any reason. That is entirely innapropriate and you shouldn’t be working with kids.
#disabled problems#ableds are weird#abledsareweird#ableds#boomers#actually disabled#disabled community#mobility aids#forearm crutches#Like I understand why the kids in my classes ask bc they haven’t learned about this kind of stuff but old people have years of experience#Tho the kids have a tendency to ask really rudely and that’s their parents fault

press select all for the all beyburst characters because HARD TO CHOSE !! BUUUUUUUT do Rantaro , Wakiya , Daina and Hoji , :D you don't have to do them all
Under a readmore bc length!
Rantaro:a lesson they learned in their childhood:I hc that his dad is super supportive, so from him Rantaro learned that enthusiastic support is Good™ and helping other people realize their potential is just as rewarding as focusing on your own improvement. He kind of forgets about that until he meets Valt.
a reason they have for getting out of bed each morning:His friends/family/people he cares about keep him going. He likes other people in general, and tho he doesn’t often stay sad, he prefers to cheer up via good company.
a fear:He’s low-key afraid that he’ll get left in the dust, what with all of his friends being more talented. It’s part of the reason he wanted Ragnaruk upgraded before he went to Spain, despite the original having plenty of potential - he knew it had to be even better to compete with the world.
a strength: As long as people don’t rub him the wrong way, he’s exceptionally friendly. A very good friend once he gets attached to you (and/or gets over himself if he had previous unnecessary misgivings).
how they think others perceive them: He used to think they thought he was cool, now he’s not so sure anymore.
how they perceive themselves: …Listen, he gave himself the nickname “Boss” and I think that is all you need to know about how he perceives himself
whether or not they consider themselves a decent person:He does, yeah - because underneath his bravado/attempts to act tough he makes it a point to actually be nice. (When he meets Wakiya, this is reaffirmed, lol)
a temptation / proclivity they have:Eh, I’ll interpret this as “bad habit”. In that case, he’s always and forever eating lollipops after brushing his teeth. Also he can misjudge people harshly, especially those he isn’t inclined to like right off the bat - tho he does a good job of growing out of this thanks to being friends with the rest of the Beyclub.
an alternate career to what they have in canon (if applicable):Since they’re all kids I will again make my own rules and talk about what job I can see them having in the future. Bc like. I think he’d partner up with Valt to open some kind of Beyclub/gym for kids?? Just…adult Kumicho helping kids practice beyblading and spreading the love for the sport
how they waste time:Reading comics. :’D
That Wakiya:a lesson they learned in their childhood:His parents were never around, so he learned that you can’t/shouldn’t count on other people. Then Hoji came along, and he started to accidentally question that. Then the Beyclub came along, and he started to question it even more.
a reason they have for getting out of bed each morning:Wakiya lives to be the best. He probably has a nice morning workout routine, or something. I feel like especially before he expanded his friend circle, he was very based in routine?
a fear:HEIGHTSAnd being a failure - especially what his dad would think about him if that ever happened.
a strength:Stuck up as he can be, he does actually know what it takes to win. He has all the pieces together (except the whole “power of friendship” thing which he does gain eventually) and he has the drive. He’s really competent, and knows what he’s about.
how they think others perceive them:He’d like to think everyone admires him.
how they perceive themselves:The all-around best. In general he thinks he’s better at hiding his insecurities than he is.
whether or not they consider themselves a decent person:He thinks he’s plenty decent - as long as you’re strong enough to handle hearing the truth out of him. If you can’t take criticism, that’s your own fault, thanks,
a temptation / proclivity they have:Prone to rudeness via blunt and slightly less-than-sympathetic nature (due to not knowing any better, according to Hoji), does not play well with others right away, requires maximum patience for best results
an alternate career to what they have in canon (if applicable):Well he is already rich so. Maybe he’ll grow up to be a board member for the WBBA.
how they waste time:Buying expensive workout equipment/beystadiums.
Daina:a lesson they learned in their childhood:He was/is a quiet kid, and he’s figured out that sitting back and observing is always a good idea. You can never know too much or be too prepared to face a situation.
a reason they have for getting out of bed each morning:If he’s ever in a headspace that makes getting up difficult, Souta always does the trick. He has his friends now, too.
a fear:Losing himself somewhere in his drive to win, aka, Lonely Deathscyther,He doesn’t want to let his tendency to strategize and analyze to make him cold anymore.
a strength:Very, very observant and smart, with a knack for details. He collects information and capitalizes on it - there’s so much he just knows. It’s good for beybattles and for dealing with friends/people, bc ultimately he can understand where anyone is coming from - he’s an excellent mediator. He has a good grasp on feelings and also technical knowledge which I think is very cool like I’m endlessly impressed by Daina tbh
how they think others perceive them:He doesn’t worry about that so much? Unless he wants them to see him a certain way, like that time he intentionally rattled Valt.
how they perceive themselves:He’s Doing His Best
whether or not they consider themselves a decent person:Most of the time yes, tho he has some “wtf self” moments for sure.
a temptation / proclivity they have:Knowing Things comes along with the capability to abuse said knowledge, but that sometimes clashes with his moral compass something fierce, so he really tries not to.
an alternate career to what they have in canon (if applicable):I am confident that Daina could do literally anything with his life and succeed
how they waste time:Browsing wikipedia/the internet in general until he can’t remember what he was originally researching (he probably has so much random knowledge stored in his head, a trivia mastermind)
Hoji:a lesson they learned in their childhood:I don’t know if it would be anything specific, but I hc that his parents are very loving and that set the foundation for him being so kind. And patient. Having four younger siblings probably helped with that, too.
a reason they have for getting out of bed each morning:Somebody has to make sure Wakiya behaves. He probably has to/wants to help take care of his younger siblings.
a fear:Losing people he cares about - like I’m sure it isn’t something that haunts him daily, but if you asked him what his worst fear was, that would probably be his answer.
a strength:His patient and understanding nature. He can get along with anyone because he’s willing to give others the benefit of the doubt, and he can see the good in everyone and the world around him.
how they think others perceive them: Probably also doesn’t think about it much, but he gets the idea that he flies under the radar. Doesn’t expect to be noticed too much, and it doesn’t really bother him.
how they perceive themselves: Good. He sometimes thinks he could be doing better than he is, but overall has an okay opinion of himself.
whether or not they consider themselves a decent person: Yes definitely.
a temptation / proclivity they have: Every once in a while, he’ll get worn down worrying about others and forget to take care of himself. This happens most often with his siblings - but then they team up and take care of him in turn
an alternate career to what they have in canon (if applicable): When he grows up he’s probably going to work for Wakiya, as an assistant or secretary or something like that?
how they waste time: Daydreaming
#aishakami-arts#Aisha#thank you!! and I'm sorry these are an entire day late#I am still not sure about some of them but. I tried.
