Looking at it now though I realize that my current style (both in art and taste) is now directly influenced by 10 year old Jun who has had me under his thumb this whole time. Every now and then throughout my life I've had a years-abandoned style show its face again for no reason, not even for nostalgia's sake. Im always excited when this happens. It hasn't occurred in a while. It sort of works like this

When I selectively compare it like this my progress almost looks linear, when really I'm just being a tourist. The person on the left experienced my current tastes naturally from leftover resources/equipment provided instead of the right who actively seeks it out despite not needing to. Neither are wrong, but this difference means I can never truly replicate the genuineness from the left image, only be inspired by it
